not to be the corcorans apologist but... it is for me that it was his oldest brother who took in cloke rayburn, a guy who is as worthless and scummy as they come, who sold his other brothers drugs... because he probably did it out of guilt. because for all we know cloke had been bunny's oldest friend he knew. because he was shallow but still in some way human, in way incomprehensive to a bunch of murders.

think this will be the year of the rothfields. ive neglected them for too long

#after marion left in the middle of the night without warning to crash with a penpal in ploila (letter writing as an artform a lifelong-- #--interest) cassius (about 13 years old or so) had a major breakdown over it and their father all but disowned marion out-- #--of anger. he never learns What happened after he left bc all his correspondence was met with spitting anger #and a jane thing now. rather than it just being incredibly lucid dreams built up around the question on if the beholder-- #--is actually dead or still lives on in the blood of it he swallowed i think instead-- #--all That will be a case of unintentional dreamed reality. a bit like extreme maladaptive dreaming where the need to be Anywhere-- #--else bores a little hole into waking reality and leaves the mind a place in a sublayer of reality to hide. dissociation that creates-- #--a little corner of its own in a space of reality that very very few can Intentionally enter+travel (mostly just the frontierists)
