Oy tumblr my past few days have been icky. I had that terrible stomach attack of doom on friday and saturday. Felt functional sunday and monday. Tuesday the bloating came back with a vengeance and then wednesday I thought I was doing ok until I was at work and I WAS NOT. Stomach attacked me again. I had to abandon work before I hit the floor. I have no idea whats up. I got in a doctors appointment sameday somehow but with a temp and I actually really liked her a lot. She did say "why didn't you do your lab work last year when you saw the GI doc" and like..I didn't know..he had ordered lab work..essentially the gist of that conversation during the height of covid was "why are you here..theres covid..go home"..nothing fruitful happened during that appointment other than miscommunication about whether I really did or did not have an appointment.

so now I get to get reconsulted to GI. I got a large stash of zofran, some omeprazole and probiotics. They don't think its my gallbladder but she wants a new US of my gallbladder as well as the rest of my abdomen. Stole some blood. Getting my thyroid checked and testing for celiacs disease. Didn't have time to discuss my ever more frequent and debilitating headaches.

Despite my organs not wanting to work right, my body looks better than my teenage/20 year old body. I practically had abs this morning until I ate something and blew up like a balloon. So thats going great.

I just really feel lousey when I'm not at work. Like I failed if I'm not accruing a paycheck. I also really wanted to play with that extra cash.

In other news I finished another sketchbook finally. Completionism has been holding me back. I'm excited to move onto a new sketchbook and hopefully create cool things. I'm also looking forward to the new year and a new cellphone.

It is done! I finished another sketchbook 🎉😄 The feeling of finishing something simply is amazing. Especially when it's filled with your own ideas and observations. That makes the finished product a juge part of you. At least that's how I look at it. My last page contains a lot of tiny ghosts painted in indigo from Winsor&Newton's Cotman series. I love the colour, I love these paints, but I want to try something new. Another brand. On the right side you can see a part of my art supplies wishlist 😅 Anyway, now this sketchbook is finished I can finally start in my new one! The new one is a Stillman & Birn Zeta sketchbook. I love the Delta series, so let's see what the Zeta one brings. But now the real queation is: what to do with the first page of my new sketchbook? I'm planning on using this one in a similar way to my just finished one and my Moleskine: anything is possible. Watercolours, acrylics, gouache, pencils, fineliners. The days getting colder make me long for campfires. One thing I LOVE are campfires. The warmth coming from them is so nice, cozy and comforting. That's something you could wake me up for in the middle of the night. 🌌🔥 Fire is something I have never painted before. I looked up a few references, but I mostly followed my intuition and kept an eye on what I liked to look at. For a painting that took me only 30 minutes I am quite satisfied. Finishing this painting means I have finished my dear @moleskine sketchbook. It was gifted to me just over half a year ago, after years of wanting to try them but not buying them because of the price, and I have loved it ever since. This sketchbook has showed me how much I love creating art- something I've always been afraid for to admit. Tomorrow I'm going to look for a new sketchbook, but I'm not sure yet if it's going to be a new Moleskine. I really, really love these books A LOT! But I also want to try something new.
