My Favorite Janna Skin - Forecast Janna

Let my winds—and the teleprompter—guide you!

Is it Janna’s prettiest skin? No. Of course not. Compared to Sacred Sword or Star Guardian or, one of my personal favorites, Guardian of the Sands, Forecast Janna is far from it.

But it definitely isn’t her ugliest either. I know it. You know it. We all know her ugliest skin is Hextech. But Forecast Janna is cute and fun and just good.

I won’t bother talking about the model, but I like the visual effects on all her abilities. My absolute favorite part has to be her E (Eye of the Storm) that makes a news weather report type noise whenever you shield someone and how the shield is a globe.

I also love her voice lines, especially when she ults (Monsoon) and gets overtaken by the storm. It’s a very light-hearted skin that doesn’t characterize Janna as her usual soft yet mysterious protector.

I still need to figure out who the hell Soraka will be there so I could logically explain her existence with the new Band. It's harder that I thought.

First Move:

“The winds of change are coming.”

“On swift winds, I shall arrive.”

Long move:

“Once, sailors prayed to me, now it is the downtrodden. I must help them however I can.”

“I cannot heal the divide between two cities, but I can at least help Zaun breathe easier.”

“Spirits such as me do not exist freely. Without prayer and belief, we slowly fade away.”

“I am the gentle breeze and the raging storm. I am the prayers of those who need aid. I am the wind itself.”

First encounter:

“We need not fight, why not take a deep breathe to calm down?”

“I’m not much of a fighter, but duty calls.”

Joke:

*Janna strikes a power pose with her staff, but her blue bird flies in her face, distracting her until it perches on her staff*

“In every storm, there is- Ah, what’re you… really? *Gentle sigh*

*gentle laugh* “Very clever…”

“My work isn’t done!”

“Oh, that wasn’t very nice of them.”

Yasuo: “Fighting a wind spirit with… wind techniques? A bold strategy.”

So Riot has sorted Aviator Irelia into the “Day Job” Skin Universe (where Caitlyn and Vi are normal day cops, Dr. Mundo is a CEO, Janna is a weather forecaster, Zilean is an actual 1960s Hippie, etc.). In doing so, they’ve confirmed my headcanon that a modern day AU Irelia would be a pilot. And is a historical figure judging by her postcard. Sweet, sweet, vindication.

Now I’m gonna retroactively headcanon that Runeterran Irelia would actually like flying/being a pilot in an ideal world, but honoring her family’s dance history (which she also loves) and protecting her country takes priority. (I mean, she does bladesurf so it’s not implausible).
