Page 3 and 4 took me many DAYS to make but everything was so worth it! Is it just me, I'm usually a huge fan of most of LoR's redesigns but now I'm not a fan of Morgan's look here. It's not nearly as blue Mordekaiser but I think I just really like the look of her long dress with the wings wrapped around it but... idk she looks great in the first art (I love her little golden wing scarf) but her outfit is different in the level 2 art and now she lost her sleeves, gained a boob window, and is wearing a body suit that makes her look like Kai'Sa? I think her dress is supposed to be torn up but it's hard to tell with the chains all around her. And what happened to her wings being bound together so she could look more human? Like I know League Morgana had that same issue but it looks even WORSE here, I loved Janna's redesign so much why am I not into Morgana and Morde's new looks at all?

At least her followers look amazing, love the vague plague doctor influence as they are also villainous looking people who were just trying to do good for their time period

Zaunite Funeral Tradition HCs

Since space is limited in Zaun I don't see Zaunites focusing their energy on finding and building conventional graveyards. I see Zaunites more focused on creating their dead to save space but weaving cultural touchstones to prevent it from being a purely pragmatic endeavor. They don't do big funeral pyres because air quality is already terrible and it alienates a good section of the populace with preexisting lung conditions. The cremation process is probably small and private, like prepping the body. Any ceremony would probably focus on what to do with the ashes, so Zaunites could:

1. Janna's Blessing

Release the ashes into a shared air shaft to release the ashes into the air in a ceremony that incorporates Janna's blessing of strong cleansing winds to give flight to their souls into the afterlife. Richer Zaunites can afford to travel higher up Zaun and even arrange it by the seashore, while poorer Zaunites, especially those in the Sump, keep track of reliable exhaust fans that have the most direct route to the surface for their loved ones ashes (soul) to reach. And yes, I did get inspiration from Vent/Barbados' story quest from Genshin Inpact for this one.

2. Funeral March to the Fault Lines

Zaunites convert the ashes of the deseased into stone and do a funeral march to place the stone inside unstable faults in the Fissures which would express the strength and stability Zaunites give one another in life and death. Zaunites might take to building up specific sections of the faults for larger families. It could also offer the grounding effect of recognizing the solidarity of Zaunites is what made a formally arduous trek into something safer and that less skilled family members can participate in.

3. Ashes Upon the Flesh

My favorite hc is that those closest to the one who past uses the ashes of the deceased to receive funeral tattoos. The funeral itself is largely a party for the guests but the main event is when the tattoos are complete and are showcased to funeral members as the recievers give a eulogy to the deceased.

The tattoo receiver(s) are mostly secluded from the party as they receive the tattoos, the seclusion is meant to be nearly meditative as the tattooed mourner is meant to reflect in the deceased as they receive a design meant to represent the one who passed.

The length of the funeral is dependent on how long the tattoo takes. The bigger and more elaborate the tattoo the bigger and longer the funeral party is (a great way to show off some prestige in the community). I thought it could be an interesting way to further integrate Zaun's art into its culture.

I imagine that not all of the funeral ink would need to be used for every funeral, maybe the deceased never named a kin to receive their body onto their own. So leftover ink is probably added to family preservation jars thay can be used for other related ceremonies like achievements and marriages. Maybe they could later be used to paint family murals.

Funeral Masks

Most Zaunites don't wear masks on a casual basis, but in respect for the deceased so they avoid inhaling their remains Zaunites dawn their masks. Most of the masks are hand-me-downs that aren't well filtered enough for the gasses pervasive in Zaun today, but they get the job done blocking particulate matter like ash. Overtime these gas masks became stylized with the mementos and trinkets those who passed sewn like patchwork over the fabric. Some Zaunites have layered masks of passed down family jewelry dangling off their masks. Some Zaunites take the time to completely redesign and retrofit a custom mask for themselves, a practice more popular to Zaun's new money like the chembarons.

Season 2024 Look Ahead

A very quick summary of the dev video posted an hour ago. This summary is mostly skin/champion-related with very little regarding gameplay.

Skarner VGU is very close to being released

An Arcane character will be receiving a VGU early next year -> this was specifically called an "Arcane-inspired VGU", aiming to bring "their Arcane version to the rift" featuring updated visuals, voice lines, and gameplay, which leads me to believe that this character is Viktor though Singed and maybe even Heimerdinger also seem possible.

Shyvana VGU will be released in 2025 after the Arcane character VGU -> her VGU will focus more on visuals and expanding her lore rather than overhauling it. from the concept art, they appear to be working on making her buffer, which was, from what I saw, a common grievance about her Immortal Journey splash art.

Dragon ADC Smolder has been revealed. His abilities can be found in a video posted by SkinSpotlights.

Mel's mother, Ambessa Medarda, will be released as a champion and "won't be for the faint of heart in game".

Arcane S2 will bring new gameplay and new skins -> based on the trailer, both Singed and Warwick appear to be contenders for receiving an Arcane skin. Viktor, especially as a fan-favorite, also seems likely, though I'm not sure how that might work if it is released before his supposed VGU.

The following champions will be receiving a prestige skin in the first half of 2024: Rakan, Ezreal, Kindred, Evelynn, Kayle. Rakan's has already been revealed to be Prestige Dragonmancer Rakan. Ezreal's prestige will be for this year's Lunar New Year skinline, Heavenscale, which will focus more on an ancient thematic similar to Lunar Revel.

Other champions receiving a Heavenscale skin include Lee Sin, Kai'Sa, Master Yi, Diana, Janna, and Smolder. -> this makes Kai'Sa's second Lunar New Year skin when counting Wild Rift's Lunar Fairy Kai'Sa (third if you also include her Special Edition/Prestige), Ezreal's second (third, again, if you count his prestige), and Diana's third without any variants (bc she's the moon get it).

New Primal Ambush skinline revolves around tiger thematics and draws heavy inspiration from Southeast Asian cultures. Champions receiving a Primal Ambush skin include Vi, Talon, Sivir, and Riven, each with icons.

Porcelain, Faerie Court, PROJECT, and Blood Moon will be returning in the first half of the year -> this was not included in the video but was posted by BBB: the champions receiving a Porcelain skin include Kindred (prestige), Graves, Darius, Miss Fortune, Morgana, Irelia, and Aurelion Sol.

Old legendary skins will be revisited to receive loading screen borders.

Rammus and Olaf will probably be receiving skins this year.

So Janna has been revealed and I'm not amazed.

They yet again put more clothes on her. That was forseeable and is understable. Like Janna really is product of her time, being dressed in essentially underwear because it's important you know she was developed in late 2009. But she looks off. Maybe it is just a matter of... Everything with this piece of art, honestly. Sure whatever. Her level up is really giving power rangers. I'm not a fan? Neither is she, she's a wind spirit. She looks like she's about to take part in Tron racing or something. Cyber punk is that way girl.

But most disappointingly her play style or play pattern. Why is Janna about drawing and making cards cheaper? She's been quintessential peel support ever since she's been introduced. And I should know, I was there. I cannot begin to explain how disappointed I am that she does not have "Support" on her. Like, yeah they did shove her shield into her spell (which is mighty fucking disappointing as well. Pay 2 mana get +2/+0. Miss me with this shit) but it is underwhelming at best, actively offesive at worst. (Edit time: I did a whoopsie here. It's 4c give +2/+0 and draw 2. Not sure how good it is but still disappointing)

So instead of giving some other region Support support, they just decided "hey, PnZ has been dominating since forever and is notorius for having cards too strong. Let's get them another one". Like, her effect is strong. Getting free draw before level up, getting constant draw after, have it be cost reduced, slapped on understated-overcosted unit with most unbalanced and infuriating keyword. Janna is poised and build for success.

I just wish she wasn't bland and meta centric.

I’m a learning artist, writer and animator (2D and 3D). Animation are my side hobbies at the moment. I am in no mean a profession at this stuff but I would like to be. I’m not good at drawing and writing ;-; and no matter how many animation tutorials I watch, I STILL don’t get it! But I’ll get there . . . (hopefully). But I reaaally want to be an a NSFW artist o3o. I don’t know, to get the anatomy drawings right and know how to pose my characters in suggestive positions.

I was a huge Hetalia Super Geek when I was 14 until I discovered Good Omens and Michael Sheen at the age of 21. Then I was set. I stopped being a Hetalia Super Geek and OBSESSED over Good Omens and Michael Sheen. So it was 7 years since I been in the in that fandom. I mean, I still like to see Hetalia fanart and so on but to a RARE occasion while I look at Good Omens Fanart and FanFiction almost 2-3 times a week, and Hetalia once or twice a month.

But did it stop there? No, no. It was a fool who thought that. I came across something so devilishly smexy. Full of bad asses, king of hell and brothers who will do anything to save the world. Yes. I came across.

SUPERNATURAL

Then, oh ho ho, I really started a brand new obsession after a another. Now I can’t go anywhere without seeing Supernatural shit. Someone post a GIF. Its related to Supernatural. I watch a YouTube video. Boom. I’m recommended a Supernatural Video. This person reminds me of a character from Supernatural. Supernatural. Supernatural. SUPERNATURAL. But am I complaining? Nope. I enjoy the fandom and show. I also have a few friends who I roleplay with who also like to add the characters in from the show. It’s pretty cracked but I enjoy it.

So I would obsessed over Good Omens and Supernatural to calm my fan like mind. So I can enjoy watching Owl House, Steven Universe, Encanto, Star vs the Forces of Evil, My Hero Academia and Our Flag Means Death to a small minimum. Now high obsession. Just. Fanart. Nothing serious and crazy.

A little fact about me. I never actually watched these shows but I read comics, fanart and clips on YouTube about them, I even read their Wiki’s to learn more about them. So I’m in no means a TRUE fan but I do love them all. (I don’t know why I do this shit, so, don’t ask please . . .)
