I used to filter everything through their angles. Making sure it all fit perfectly, aligning myself with what they wanted. Self defeat, darkness, trembling.. all typical of this behavior. Wanting only to be liked; accepted. Loved; even. The etiquette code, the manipulations, I could do it all. At the expense of, just myself. Just me. That was it. I lost .. me. And every time I would gain a piece of me back, I would tear myself apart to destroy her again. Is this ok? To tell the truth. To explain the version of life I witnessed? To, for five seconds.. lean on the reality that so viciously sacrificed my peace. Labor, of any kind is good but what you're doing it for is the ultimate factor. The truth of where it leads. Who do you call on? Why? What is your motive in all of this? Foundation. The reason I found my savior. Those questions needed me. Those simple questions wanted such a complex answer. They wanted to steal, kill, and destroy everything. Actually, to an extent they did. The darkness I chased. The lying darkness. Painstakingly unrelenting mystery of evil. We wonder why? Why this way, why this color, why this principle? Does he hate me, what will she do if I do this? He thinks I'm pure, she thinks I'm weird. I am right, they are wrong. I wish I could be like that, have a clue. Who can I follow, what can I lean on? What should I dress like? These questions all ended with more questions. Zero fulfillment. Constantly chasing these high and lows. Wondering where it would lead. Finding it led me to the worst places. Who else set my soul on fire but Christ? Who else but God? The truth was revealed and never has stopped revealing since that glorious day that the Lord found me where I was. The answers came flooding in one by one. Over and over again, all these darknesses were lit up like the brightest day I had ever experienced. More than day, a purity and promise. A truth that no one can steal. A love that is true. The King himself. So, yes I do accept this perfection in Jesus. The Heavenly Father knew what he was doing, then and now and forever. Thank you Lord.

I find it funny how the world defines love as a feeling. It definitely explains the logic of falling in/out of love. However, true love is more than a feeling; a thing that you just feel for someone or something. It begs much more power and attention. Love is a CHOICE! It is a choice that has to be made moment by moment. It is scientifically proven that the “feelings” of love are always only temporary. Are you willing to stake your most important relationships on something so temporary? The next time you think you may be falling in/out of love with something/one, be sure to examine yourself first!
