Since someone asked about Taiwan earlier….
What are your Hong Kong Headcannons? Both sfw and nsfw.
I don’t have any to be honest :(
I like hongice as a ship and I have a request that I have an idea what to write for but I don’t really have anything figured out except that both Hong Kong and Ice are kind awkward teenagers (or in their early 20s I haven’t really decided on anything) but Hong Kong is the the cool one out of those two except when he’s in love, then he becomes a nervous wreck.

Every Tube Station! 1/272 - Fulham Broadway
Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog! Today marks the end of my first week in London, and the start of my tube journey - here's to many more! In this blog I plan to visit every tube station (however long it may take!), and take account of the local area, amenities, attractions, museums, parks, you name it! I will also include some of my photography, and maybe some tube trivia while I'm at it. I will probably be posting once or twice a week. Let's get to it!
My journey starts at Fulham Broadway. A strange place to start, maybe - it isn't one of the most famous stations, nor the most spectacular. The reason I'm starting here however, is quite simple - I was helping out with a stand for a society at my uni. We then had a relaxing lunch at Eel Brook Common. A very scenic park - at only 2 minutes walk away from the station, if you're in the area it's definitely worth a visit!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We then parted ways and I walked up to the river to see the Roca gallery. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take any pictures inside (still snuck one in though!), but they had a very thoughtful exhibit about designing small spaces. There were case studies from all over the world - Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York, and of course, London. It was very interesting to see the inventive solutions architects came up with to work around very small apartments, and it was free entry too - would highly recommend!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next up is a walk around Imperial Wharf. There are some amazing skyscrapers in the area, and you get a beautiful view of the river. The park is also excellent - they have aroma, sight and touch gardens. A spectacular variety of plants to cater to the senses - a delightful experience! The park is also very relaxing; the nearby skyscrapers block the sounds of the road so you can only hear the rustling of the leaves and the sounds of the river going by. They also have many cafés in the local area - a great place to go for lunch!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally my day out comes to a close with the return to Fulham Broadway station. Of course, I had to find the maze artwork (on platform 1). And the view from inside the station is amazing! There is a bridge across to the other platform which gives you a great view of the train tracks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, that concludes my recount of Fulham Broadway station. Hope you guys enjoyed, and hope you tune in for my next blog post! (sorry if the image quality is sub par, I'll try to fix it for the next post. you can check them out on my insta tho! (check my linktree))

i’m honestly not sure what to think anyway but i think the point of protest is to get peoples attention, earlier this year a scientist lit himself on fire in public in washington dc no one said anything about the danger of that
That's because it didn't arrive to the heavy mass media, like national news channels etc. And also because, unsurprisingly, governments have no interest to spread news like these. I remember similar cases that happened in Spain mostly and some scientist who blocked the parliament doors in Italy for the same reason. Did these events make to big news outlets? Guess i needn't to say the answer. That to say that protests are born from popular dissent, can assume various forms, but if there is something all the forms have in common is that is to cause disorder in any way (and with any i mean all, i am not FIA or michael masi) AND that they are always in contrast with the government (aka the cops). Now, just to think to some great revolutionarists. Suffragettes, Malcom X and the Black Panthers, the French Revolution, Hong Kong, even Stonewall!!! Stonewall started with an unprompted riot, but if you think that the actual fight stopped on june 30th 1969, well you are too naive!! A naivety that capitalist governments and police states want you to have. A calm citizen is an easily manipulated one!!! Like, one of the few peaceful revolts to work was Gandhi one's in India, but he could count on a true popular cohesion and in a stark contrast with yhe british establishments. In fact violence wasn't absent just because Indians were peaceful.
The protests as we western countries made them recently (mostly in europe i believe) are mostly a scam parade because nowadays, under the guise of safety (as they always do), protesters have to organise WITH police to protest when THEY want and HOW they want. Like a herd of good sheeps. This concept is translatable this way by governments 'you are free to protest and say what you hate. But if you think we will listen to you you can wait forever.'
So, this turned our in a long ass political rant, but what i want to say is this. I am happy that no driver got involved in these protests, however i can't say protestors are wrong, because, like all the good protests should be, they are a fruit of popular dissent, and those can never be wrong, they aee what they are. What is a pity is that they were too few and could not deliver the message properly. If lots of ppl were there there wouldn't have been no risk of involving drivers. If this worked somehow, who know what things could have been and i understand what Lineker said. If there is something history taught is that when you succeed you are a martyr or a visionary, if you fail you are a fool and, you can see, the line is really short between the two. I can only admire these few ppl because they tried to highlight something that governments care about just when they can capitalise on it. As a publicity stunt. They are true activists, loyal to the word action, as way too many ppl deem themselves an activist just behind a screen. They tried to do something so i appreciate the effort. Tho, i am happy no driver was involve.
I am not angry with people saying protesters were wrong or did this the wrong way. Mostly bcs ppl saying that are very young, and i hope they can understand. Don't ever think that there is a good or bad way to protest. That's a lie. Don't believe who says that organised protests are good because of safety. That is manipulation. Public dissent, continuative movements, unpredictability is how you do things, not cooperation with people more powerful than you and hoping they will listen. Taking away the possibility of fighting back is how they will strip your rights slowly and painfully. Never fall for that!! KEEP YOUR MIND FREE AND YOUR HEART FIERCE KIDS!!!

A somewhat personal, but important message...
I seriously believe 2022 will be a good year.
Now that more and more countries and regions are relaxing their covid restrictions, I hope, with all my heart, that the people of Hong Kong (and of other countries e.g. Thailand, Myanmar) will come out to protest again.
Taiwan and South Korea also experienced dictatorship, and obviously there were very strict laws forbidding freedom of expression. But the people weren't afraid, defied the laws, and won the change they were fighting for.
So why should we be afraid? By the time the pandemic is over (or at least, life gets back to normal), the bad laws will have no reason to exist anymore. Then we can come out again and carry on pursuing change.
Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times!
In Milk Tea We Trust.
(Although, obviously stay safe everyone. The revolution is important, but nothing is more important than your lives 🤎🤍🖤💛)
And btw, please watch the documentary Revolution of Our Times by Kiwi Chow if you can! Let the world know about the story of our fight and spread the word please 🙏
Edit: I found the trailer

I was going to buy hades and hyper light drifter on steam today cause i thought the steam black friday sale was still happening. unfortunately the cut off day was LITERALLY yesterday and I have to wait for Christmas/new year steam sale for a potential discount. So, because I didn’t feel like paying a sum of $50 for these two games, I ended up playing more of hollow knight instead and beat pantheon of the artist on like, the third try lmao
#yes i paid $48 for four cartons of artisan ice cream last week. but im also never doing that again#(they got london fog and hong kong milk tea flavours. you can't buy that shit in a regular grocery store!)#also had i not paid $48 for four cartons of ice cream i would have probably accept 5$50 for two games i'd have almost definitely loved#aaaaannnnn also. these ice creams were never going to go on sales. unlike the games. which were going to go on sales. after a month#i went back and forth on whether or not i should play hades for like. a year now. i can wait for one more month#except that....i got certain...mythical figures. living in my head rent free. atm. which makes me want to to play the game more so than ever#i think story-wise i might like hyper light drifter better than hades tbh. BECAUSE it resembles hk's vibe more#lone traveller in a ruined and decrypted but oddly beautiful world. a personal story abt facing mortality. my kind of jam#still i would want to play hades first because um. there is that side quest that I NEED to do. nectars i need to give#no. not related to either of the romance interests tho. this is probably the first game with rpg element where the romances dont matter 2 me#anyways there is like 75% that i will buy the games on full price in the next days lol#mae overshares#kinda amazing how decent i am at hollow knight right now. the complete absence of lags make a world of difference#speaking of hk....i was going complain abt hades costing 25 dollars while hk is only 15 dollars despite its quality & size of content#but then i remember that hk's assets is 99% 2D animations whereas most of hades' assets are 3D models#but i would still like that discount on the games lol
