Gentle reminder that I've always interpreted asking for "Seirin" as all of their teammates, unless specifically stated as "Seirin's starting lineup", since they do feature more characters in the show than the other teams. Kagami

he's one of the few people who knew Kuroko was courting a girl before he started dating her, so the news doesn't come as big of a surprise to him

though he's happy for his good friend, Kagami outwardly jokes with Kuroko that his new girlfriend better not distract him from getting better at basketball

Hyuuga

"wait, really, you were serious when you said there was nothing between you at that other girl?" he's absolutely confused, considering how touchy Momoi always was

he starts to wonder what exactly was going through Kuroko's head whenever Momoi would cling to him; was he really that dense on how obvious she had been?

Kiyoshi

he's definitely thinking it, but Kiyoshi won't admit that he had thought Momoi was already Kuroko's girlfriend; he accepts easily that he was mistaken

the pat he gives Kuroko's back in congratulations is hard, nearly knocking over the shorter male, but there's absolutely no malace behind the move; he's happy for Kuroko

Izuki

immediately starts cracking jokes about love being in the air and is disappointed when nobody pays him any mind because of it

on the more serious side, he's actually impressed with Kuroko over his new girlfriend and congratulates his younger teammate on his new relationship in his own weird way

Mitobe

extremely respectful about the news, Mitobe simply gives Kuroko a smile and a pat on the shoulder when he hears about the shadow's new girlfriend

he's not a very nosy person in comparison to the rest of the team, so he doesn't really bother Kuroko with questions (or at least, Koganei can't interpret any questions he has)

Koganei

he's teasing Kuroko, asking his teammate when they all finally get to meet the mystery girl who has stolen their shadow's heart; he loves romance

Koganei is very supportive in Kuroko's new relationship to the point he doesn't even mention Momoi, despite a part of him in the back of his mind worrying about her

Tsuchida

being the only other team member on Seirin to have a girlfriend, Tsuchida wonders if he should get closer with Kuroko so they could all go out on double dates

though Kuroko doesn't talk about his girlfriend much, Tsuchida loves hearing the stories when he does because it reminds him of his own gushy moments with his girlfriend

Furihata

he's both surprised and happy for Kuroko, congratulating him on finding someone he wanted to date, but feeling just a slight bit of jealousy

he feels nervous every time Kuroko brings his new girlfriend around for practice, feeling like he has to be on his best behavior or better

Kawahara

he's only slightly aggrivated that Kuroko managed to get a girlfriend before he did; he thought he had enough charm to have one by now too

hates to admit it, but he gets a little sad at the realization that the team may not see Momoi around anymore now that Kuroko was dating another girl

Fukuda

he says he's not surprised — after all, he had seen Kuroko and his girlfriend talking with each other before they started dating — but in reality, he hadn't expected Kuroko to actually land her

he pulls Kuroko aside one day, asking how he managed to get his girlfriend and asking him for tips on how he could talk to his classroom crush

Riko

she sees this as an opportunity to finally get a manager of their own for the team, teasing Kuroko that he could see his girlfriend more if he convinced her to join

a part of her is secretly glad they won't be seeing Momoi often anymore, since she had never really gotten along with the busty pink haired girl

Kise

he almost puts his foot in his mouth when he sees a picture of Kuroko's new girlfriend and nearly blurts out "but that's not Momoicchi"

he's particularly confused about Kuroko finding love in someone else, because he had always thought that his friend reciprocated the pinkette's feelings in his own way

Aomine

he's honestly a bit surprised when he finds out that Kuroko is dating a girl and it's not the pinkette who's been fawning over him since middle school

on the outside, he's annoyed because now Momoi is crying to him about her failed love life, but on the inside, Aomine can't fault Kuroko for falling in love with someone else

Momoi

she is absolutely devastated to find out Kuroko is dating someone before she had the chance to date him herself; she should have tried to make things official earlier

on the outside, she tries not to show that it's affecting her so much, but really close friends (Aomine) can see just how much it's breaking her on the inside

Midorima

he takes the news as if someone were merely talking to him about the weather; in other words, he doesn't have much of a reaction and doesn't really care to know more

it isn't until Aomine is calling him, complaining about Momoi's crying, that he realizes that someone did indeed get hurt with this news

Murasakibara

he's absolutely confused by the news because he had thought all along that Kuroko and Momoi were already dating; for a split second he wonders about infidelity

when it's revealed to him that the pair had never been dating and this was Kuroko's first girlfriend, Murasakibara drops the subject entirely

Akashi

there is no physical sign that Akashi is surprised by the news other than a simple quirk of his brow and a quiet, "oh really?"; he mentions nothing about Momoi

other than a quick congratulatory message to Kuroko, Akashi doesn't have much of an opinion on the blue haired teen's new girlfriend

Honestly I think he’d be confused at first, but he picks up on where the conversation is going and he gets hella hyped. He hears the girl out, and he makes a big smile. I think he’d say something like “Wow I’m happy you think that of me,”

Bro would not know how to act LOL. Like he literally hasn’t gotten to this stage with girls before. But he would also be curious about the girl, so I think he’d give her a chance. Plus I really can’t imagine him rejecting a girl 💀

He wouldn’t really know what to do after all that, and he’d think on it for a while. But he would also invite the girl to watch their practices.

I feel like Yohei would kinda know even before?? He’s an attentive person, I think he would notice a girl always eyeing him. He would like the attention too

Yohei would know what was going on if a girl approached him all nervous and stuttering, but he’d still hear her out ofc.

He doesn’t really come off as the type to reject someone, I think he’d want to see what would happen with someone even if he didn’t fully reciprocate.

I FEEL LIKE HE’D THANK HER, if he doesn’t reciprocate, he wouldn’t say that straight up. I think he’d invite the girl out for food after his work shift is over.

Yohei would talk to the girl and find out what type of person she is, bro is definitely gonna walk around with her whenever his homies aren’t around. He’d be really casual about it to his homies initially, and then flex on them

Fukuda

Fukuda doesn’t really come off as a stupid guy, he would probably notice the girl beforehand, especially if she was really obvious about it.

He would still be surprised when the chick is confessing to him though, he would be dead silent and just processing it.

He’d be mad quiet for at least a minute, thinking of words to say so he doesn’t sound mean or anything.

Fukuda would start off by thanking her. I feel like he isn’t the type to instantly go out with someone that likes him (despite him liking praise)

I imagine him thanking him for what she said, and that he’d think on it (or something like that) and from then on, he would watch the girl from afar and learn about her little by little

Hikoichi

Hikoichi seems like the type to admire instead of being admired (both in basketball and love). Like he seems like the type who has hallway crushes, but would never say a word to them.

He would definitely be nervous about a girl confessing to him and hearing all that being told 😭 but he’d get so happy.

i can totally see him being like “omg really?? What made you into me??” Part of him would legitimately wonder how a girl was into him, since he’s not very popular or talented in basketball

Im ngl I had to discuss with a friend since I don’t really know much about Koshino

Koshino comes off as a dude that doesn’t necessarily pay much mind to girls. Like he doesn’t not care about them, but they aren’t his number one priority either.

He’d be kinda taken aback at a girl approaching him outta the blue. But he isn’t gonna be rude and walk away 💀

Koshino wouldn't really know what to say initially, but I think he’d be pretty straightforward about it. He isn’t gonna be mean, but he would tell her that he doesn’t know her well enough to reciprocate but that he does want to know her better

Shou and his resistance team are based on the moon rabbit folktale (that's why he gets a haircut)

References are in his lackeys names / outfits + other

The story in short is about a rabbit who wanted to save a starving man, so he jumped into fire to become food for him. and then was rewarded for his kindness/self-sacrifice by being taken to live on the moon and he makes rice cakes there.

(other versions have different animals, an actual starving man or emperor or god; or the rabbit's gift is his image being carved on the moon (implied that he died in fire), or the rabbit making medicine on the moon)

Ootsuki 大月; 月tsuki means moon, hence the crescents on his outfit

Fukuda 福田:

- is interestingly the name of a company that makes medical technology stuff/ healthcare products

- 田da means rice field , hence the plant on the H and maybe the white knots is a visual cue for rice 

 While in the Japanese version the rabbit makes rice cakes , in the Chinese version the rabbit is making medicine instead, so that's also related to his healing powers.

Higashio 東尾: 

- hi 火 means fire 

- 餓死 gashi means starvation. (the only one I had to skip the official way its written but if I were to guess I dont think starvation would be directly part of a name so yea)

Shou:

 -Chinese zodiac sign: rabbit

- hair looks like fire

So, Shou is surrounded by moon rabbit references, and his arc is mainly about running away vs responsibility which parallels a story about self sacrifice (as kindness/virtuous mind you). That's reflected in wd arc and confession arc, as in both arcs Shou was prepared to die to stop Touichirou. 

Because in confession arc even though Touichirou’s plan was to sacrifice himself…..he explained how to do it to Shou. the one with the self sacrifice metaphor…()

Anyway, Shou getting a haircut in the epilogue symbolizes realizing that he shouldn't sacrifice himself for others sake, like letting go of the fire that the rabbit would've jumped into.

we all know that Seirin doesn't have a manager, but what if they actually secretly DID have one? the manager was only ever in contact with Riko, as they felt more at ease working behind the scenes, and the team only finds out much later about this arrangement. the second years are like "?? we've had a manager this whole time?" and the first years are all "is it a girl? is she cute??" while Riko's being all smug and secretive

“Who are you texting?”

Riko squeaked a bit, fumbling with her phone as she tried to hide the screen against her chest. It was too late however and Hyuuga, who had been peering over her shoulder, had already spotted the nickname of her contact – Manager-chan <3.

He furrowed his brows, a single finger pushing the bridge of his glasses up his nose as he fixed a glare on Riko. “Wait, we have a manager now? Since when? Isn’t this supposed to be something you discuss with your team’s captain?”

“Not really,” Riko responded with a shrug, her free hand moving up to shove Hyuuga’s face away from hers. “As coach, all decisions I make for the team overrule yours.” Her statement was punctuated with her tongue sticking out at him. With her thumb, she pressed on the side button of her phone, shutting off the screen so he could no longer pry.

Hyuuga’s lips pressed into a thin, annoyed line. “Well, where are they then? Practice started over an hour ago. Shouldn’t a manager be, I don’t know, watching over us?”

Riko was about to retort with another sarcastic comment, but her words were interrupted by Koganei’s curious, “Wait, we have a manager?” She sighed, knowing that the little secret she had been keeping for well over a year was finally coming to light.

She’d have to apologize to you later for being so careless.

Koganei’s voice had carried throughout the gymnasium, his question bouncing off the polished floors and hard walls. Soon enough, Riko found herself surrounded by half the team, their eyes full of curiosity and their mouths full of questions. Who was this mysterious manager? When did they start? Were they coming to practice today? Had they watched any of their matches?

“Wouldn’t you guys like to know,” Riko snarked, interrupting the onslaught of questions she was receiving. She intended to keep your secret for as long as possible, the team’s curiosity be damned. “And no, they won’t be coming to practice today. Or ever.”

This answer only earned her more questioning gazes.

“Kind of hard to manage a team you haven’t actually met,” Hyuuga mumbled, arms crossed over his chest. He quirked a brow at Riko, his look of annoyance shifting to one of disbelief. “How are they supposed to do their job?”

“We’ve gotten a lot of practice matches in with a variety of other schools, haven’t we?” At Hyuuga’s slow nod, Riko continued, “Well, that’s all because of them. They handle more of the business and paperwork side of the team while I get to deal with you guys. It’s not a conventional way of doing it, but they prefer to stay anonymous.”

“Ah, a shy manager,” Izuki guessed.

This got the guys buzzing once again. More than a few of them flushed at the thought, color dusting their cheeks as imaginative images of a bashful manager hiding behind a clipboard filled their minds. More questions spilled from them, curious voices filling the gymnasium instead of squeaking sneakers. Practice had come to a halt, more of the team catching on to the interesting conversation at hand. Was she a first year or a second year? Did she ask to be the manager or was she roped into it?

Was she cute?

“I said nothing about the manager being a girl!” The huffed out response from Riko had the guys deflating. “Now get back to practice, we’re wasting daylight!”

The shrill sound from Riko’s whistle pierced their ears, drowning out the grumbling voices as the guys slowly made their way back onto the court. Riko nodded, satisfied with their quick departure. After checking behind her shoulders for more prying eyes, she pulled out her cellphone once the coast was clear.

‘Sorry, the guys know they have a manager now, but they don’t know it’s you.’ She sent the text off quickly. Then, as an afterthought, she added, ‘Maybe it’s time you met them?’

When no response was received within a few minutes, Riko merely shrugged. Placing her cellphone back in her pocket, she turned her attention back to their current practice. You’d answer her eventually.

She hoped you’d say yes to her request.

Later that day, as practice had ended and the team had packed up to leave, some of the team found their curiosity taking hold once more. It was hard to let go of the thought that they’d had a mysterious manager working in the background all along. Some of them half expected it to be a joke – some kind of prank Riko was pulling that wasn’t all that funny to anyone but her.

“Who do you think the manager is?” Furihata asked as the first years slowly trailed after the second years outside the gym. “Do you think they’re actually a girl?”

“I hope so,” Fukuda responded. Thoughts of having someone cute always on the sidelines during practice were filling his brain. He wondered if they were anything like Touou’s manager.

“Man, I don’t care,” Kagami drawled. One of his arms was up, a hand picking at his ear. The other had a basketball tucked neatly between his elbow and his side. His fingers twitched, already thinking of the next practice match this secret manager would eventually schedule. “As long as they keep getting us games to play. That’s all that matters.”

“Yeah, maybe to you,” Fukuda deadpanned. He leaned forward as he walked, looking past Kagami to quirk a brow at the team’s blue haired shadow. “What about you, Kuroko? Got any ideas on who the manager might be?”

Kuroko blinked, answering Fukuda’s question with a noncommittal shrug. It was enough of an answer to have his teammate sighing, relenting to the fact that nobody seemed to have any clue who the manager might be.

Of course, Kuroko would never say that he’d started to notice a familiar face in the crowd at every game they attended. He’d never mention that he’d spotted Riko chatting intently with another student, handing them off papers he knew contained their player statistics. And he’d definitely never talk about the time he’d bumped into you exiting the gymnasium after school in a hurry, desperate to leave before the team could arrive.

You wanted to stay anonymous, after all.

Sendoh is a pretty open minded guy, he doesn’t have a set standard for what he wants in a girl. I don’t think he would have a preferred type of girl.

I think a girl who’s more of a tomboy is a good thing for him tbh. He always fishes and having a girl who isn’t willing to do things like that with him wouldn’t really work out.

Sendoh wouldn’t be bothered about it at all, he’d still compliment your looks and dote on you. To him it wouldn’t make you any less of a girl

WOULD DEFINITELY GIVE YOU HIS SHIRTS AND SWEATS. He kinda picked up on what you like to wear and he figured that it’d make you happy wearing something loose fitting and more masculine. I think he’d have alot of fun slipping on his really baggy shirts on you <3

Tbh I think his main type is a girly girl, BUT, that doesn’t stop him from liking a girl with a different vibe than he’s used to.

Kiyota is definitely open minded about it too, like a pretty girl is still a pretty girl to him regardless. And he’d hype you up the same way too. He’d brag about you like CRAZY to his homies too, saying stuff like “my girl so fine”

It’d be good for dates too, since he strikes me as the type to want to do “crazy” activities, like rock climbing or skating. I don’t think he’d be good on dates where you have to stay still (like a cafe date or watching a movie)

I think at first he would be a little bit pushy, like saying something like “you should wear this, you’d look so cute in it!” But when he realizes that you aren’t comfortable wearing certain things and that your style is just your preference, he would be understanding about it. ALSO IMAGINE HIM PUTTING HIS LITTLE HEADBANDS OR HATS ON YOU

Fukuda

I just KNOW this boy would fold for a tomboy girl. Like I personally think his type of girl is a girl who wears baggy clothes or basketball shoes.

A tomboy girl would be really good for him, he’d definitely ask you to play one on one basketball with him, or go on runs with him. While he wouldn’t mind a girly girl either, I think a tomboy girl who’s down to do physical activities is the ideal type for him.

He wouldn’t look at you any different for how you dress and carry yourself, and I think he’d really admire how you don’t care that you’re different from ideal beauty standard.

I think he’d still treat you like a gentleman tho, like he’d insist on paying for things and complimenting you. For dates he wouldn’t push anything that you don’t want to do, and he’d ask you what type of date you’d like
