Year 1539 Part 2:

While checking out the empty homes that used to house her family, Agnes was surprised to find them not so empty. In fact, one house was now home to a young man named Stephen and his little sister. Her curiosity got the best of her and she had to meet the boy and it turned out he didn’t even speak Simlish. He did speak Windenburghish though which was good since she had picked up a bit with her cousins before they left. While their conversations left a lot lost in translation, their chemistry was far from lost. 

While no shock to Larissa, Rose’s first birthday arrived and she grew into a lovely little toddler. While the age gap between the Scott kids might prove difficult for the children to relate to one another, Larissa and Gideon were glad to see their son dote on his baby sister and she adored her big brother as well.

I'm so sorry to have kept you all waiting on the requests, however I hope that now you see what I've been working on, you might understand why it took some time!! Especially when I've been working on this only in the evening, and while trying to keep my tiny human alive!

When I started this, it was originally a combination of requests/characters I really like! and somehow I ended up with 62 of them!! I'm hoping maybe in the future Ill revisit this, maybe try get 100?! But for now I'm glad to be able to take a break and start on other projects!!

This was really a labor of love, and I really hope you all like it as well! I did try my hardest to get as many details as I could, but I did take a few uniform liberty's here and there!! I hid a few little movie and game Easter eggs in there as well, let me know if you spot any!

'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves'

Queen Consort Josephine II, married to King Ambrose IV, a woman most beautiful in a small humble kingdom forever covered in spring flowers and lovely summer sun. With her eyes a sweet honey that bee's were jealous, her hair was as soft as silk and the colour of woven gold. She was a kind, pure and loving woman.

A Queen many looked up to, but alas she could never given birth to an heir, but King Ambrose still loved her dearly but had no choice but to take in a mistress named Grimhilde. Josephine was not satisfied, one day when doing embroidery on a day opposite of the usual weather, wear snow white droplets glazed over windowsills and ventured over forests like icy caverns, she had accidentally pricked her finger and three droplets of blood fell upon her embroidery of an apple.

She gazes out of the window, her embroidery covered in small droplets of blood now long forgotten, her eyes watered. "Oh how I wish for a daughter, with skin as white as the snow upon my windowsill, with lips as red as the blood within ones body, with hair as black as ebony, and eyes as clear as the sky." She had whispered to herself.

But months passed and no dream nor wish came true, until an unexpected meeting did she meet to boy's and a little girl asking her to sign their book. For she had snuck away when that awful mistress had harrased her, Josephine had gone to the town market in disguise, "Please sign our book miss, our friends want to read a story and all we need is a signature." The oldest of the three said. His name was Malachi.

"Yes, yes. A signiture is all we need, for a story to share with our friends." The second boy said, his name was Gideon. And then the youngest stepped up with teary eyes.

"Oh please we beg you miss, our story must be shared, I want my friends to read it, oh please, if we can read it to others we'll be well fed." The youngest girl cried pitifully, her name was Tatiana.

Josephine felt her heart clench. And reluctantly she nodded with a smile. "Alright little ones." Josephine had signed the book with a beautiful golden quill that had a white dove feather and an apple charm and small rubies, that the youngest had given her, she hadn't even noticed how three small children could acquire such a lovely quill.

With her signiture signed.

The youngest smiled, as did the two older boys, "thank you miss, may your dreams become reality." The three had said in unison, but before Josephine could ask what they meant, a gust of wind blew past her, distracting her unware her life had been signed away.

When she had come back to the castle with confusion in her mind, her husband awaited her for the comfort of night, and a month later had signs of a miracle shown.

The whole kingdom rejoiced, the king and queen had a ball and invited all, Josephine had hoped the three little children would come but unfortunately they did not, and gradually she had forgotten about the three children, with the reveal of her pregnancy, and the miscarriage of the mistress.

Eight months passed and Josephine gave birth to a beautiful baby, the baby of her dreams, she named her 'Snow White.' But her life did not last long when she was poisoned, the quill in her hand, as her body lay cold. Three red eyes glowed from in the darkness.

Grimhilde, the mistress of king Ambrose IV was a beautiful woman with hair a platimum blonde and skin as pale as the clouds, her eyes were a soft amythest colour that made her all the more magnificent, but jealousy had hit her when she was met by three children who gave her an obsidian quill with a raven feather and small amythest jewels begging her to sign their book.

She had complied unware that the child in her stomach would disappear.

She had forgotten of the three children when she was hit with dark boiling rage that far exceeded her practices in the dark arts, the queen had stolen her unborn child, she murdered the queen with her quill and the poison of an apple seed.

Later when the queen was buried in the royal garden did an apple tree grow beautifully.

Grimhilde had seduced the king into naming her queen, and had succeeded.

She had moved into the old chambers of the former queen and had finally birthed a daughter of her own, 'Rose Red' she had named her darling little daughter, a child that would never be stolen.

Grimhilde had placed a mirror in her room, using magic and the blood of herself did she create a sentient mirror that responded. She would ask 'Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?' And then the mirror would respond 'The most fairest in all the land is you my queen, no one can compete with your beauty.' The mirror would respond truthfully, because her magic made sure her mirror would never lie. But, one day her mirror responded differently. "The most fairest in all the land is Princess Snow White, no one can compete with her beauty."

She had tried to love Snow White as her own, but failed miserably as all she could see was the former queen. And the girl was seven years of age, with beauty unparalleled.

Snow White was raised with kindess and love like the former queen would have wanted, raised by the king, she became as pure as a lily, meanwhile Rose Red was raised with power and was spoiled rotten, she became as cunning and wicked as an orchid and black dahlia respectively, while she was raised by Queen Grimhilde.

The Queen had tried to not harm her original child but the anger, the resentment, the jealousy of all she's ever known, was taken away by a mere child. Unfortunately king Ambrose passes in a hunting trip, long forgotten, Queen Grimhilde stripped a nine year old Snow White of her royal title and forced her into servitude naming Rose Red her successor.

The chores were relentless and Grimhilde and Rose Red were cruel and vain, abusing the poor pure girl who wept herself to sleep each night.

Later on the thirteen year old former princess aged beautifully, Snow White was forever the fairest, that was when Grimhilde ordered the huntsman to kill Snow White and bring her, Snow White's pure heart which will allow immortality, which Grimhilde would share with her darling Rose Red who was most beautiful.

The huntsman takes Snow White into the forest, but after raising his dagger, he finds himself unable to kill her when Snow White realizes her stepmother's plan and tearfully begs the huntsman, "Spare me this mockery of justice! I will run away into the forest and never come home again!"

After seeing the tears in the princess's eyes, the huntsman reluctantly agrees to spare Snow White and brings the queen a boar's heart instead.

After wandering through the forest for hours, Snow White discovers a tiny cottage belonging to a group of seven dwarfs. Since no one is at home, she eats some of the tiny meals, drinks some of their wine, and then tests all the beds. Finally, the last bed is comfortable enough for her, and she falls asleep. When the dwarfs return home, they immediately become aware that there has been a burglar in their house, because everything in their home is in disorder.

Prowling about frantically, they head upstairs and discover the sleeping Snow White. She wakes up and explains to them about her stepmother's attempt to kill her, and the dwarfs take pity on her and let her stay with them in exchange for a job as a housemaid.

They warn her to be careful when alone at home and to let no one in while they are working in the mountains.

Two years had passed, the evil queen sought her mirror one last time for the last laugh, she asks for the first time in two years "Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is is now the most fairest in all the land?"

But the mirror simpled replied that Snow White was the fairest and that she was hidden away with the dwarves, The queen is furious and decides to kill her herself. First, she appears at the dwarfs' cottage, disguised as an old peddler, and offers Snow White a colourful, silky laced bodice as a present. The queen laces her up so tightly that Snow White faints; the dwarfs return just in time to revive Snow White by loosening the laces.

Grimhilde failed, Rose Red was too busy dancing around suitors to care about what was really happening. The Queen planned again, next, the queen dresses up as a comb seller and convinces Snow White to take a beautiful comb as a present; she strokes Snow White's hair with the poisoned comb. The girl is overcome by the poison from the comb, but is again revived by the dwarfs when they remove the comb from her hair.

"That thrice dammed Jezabel!" The queen hissed, staring at the mirror and the mess of her room, she was so sure she had succeeded, and so she plans again.

Grimhilde had ran to the royal garden where Josephine was buried, and plucked a pure red apple from the tree. Dropping the apple in a bowl of poison and pigsblood, she dressed herself as a farmers wife and offered Snow White an apple. Snow White, although hesitant at first watches as Grimhilde cuts the apple in half and bites the white half (which is harmless) and gives her the red poisoned half to Snow White; the girl eagerly takes a bite and falls into coma, causing Grimhilde to think she has finally triumphed.

This time, the dwarfs are unable to revive Snow White, and, assuming that the queen has finally killed her, they place her in a glass casket as a funeral for her.

Finally Grimhilde was the fairest but when she asked the mirror, it simply replied that Rose Red was the most fairest now that Snow White had fallen. It did not say dead, nor did it say anything else, only fallen.

Grimhilde then murdered her own daughter in cold blood, covering the castle walls in red, where roses would soon grow.

A prince stumbles upon a seemingly dead Snow White lying in her glass coffin during a hunting trip. After hearing her story from the Seven Dwarfs, the prince is allowed to take Snow White to her proper resting place back at her father's castle.

All of the sudden, while Snow White is being transported, one of the prince's servants trips and loses his balance. This dislodges the piece of the poisoned apple from Snow White's throat, magically reviving her.

The Prince is most overjoyed with this miracle, and he declares his love for the now alive and well Snow White, who, surprised to meet him face to face, humbly accepts his marriage proposal.

The prince invites everyone in the land to their wedding, except for Snow White's stepmother. Grimhilde, believing herself finally to be rid of Snow White and Rose Red, asks again her magic mirror who is the fairest in the land.

The mirror says that there is a bride of a prince, who is yet fairer than she. The queen decides to visit the wedding and investigate. Once she arrives, the Queen becomes frozen with rage and fear when she finds out that the prince's bride is her stepdaughter, Snow White herself.

The furious Queen tries to sow chaos and attempts to kill her again, but the prince recognizes her as a threat to Snow White when he learns the truth from his bride. As punishment for the attempted murder of Snow White, the prince orders the Queen to wear a pair of red-hot iron slippers and to dance in them until she drops dead. With the evil Queen finally defeated and dead, Snow White's wedding to the prince peacefully continues.

When Snow White birthed a daughter named Alice White, Rose Red had a daughter which was hidden, born from roses Lamia Queen was ressurected and born anew, thus a new tale would be begin.

And the events played out once more, and again, and again.

Each Snow White tale is different depending on the person. It could be grimm, new, fun, modern, or more, all depends on the type of person the new Snow White would be.

Lost in the Book with Stitch Ending (& the Blue Fairy??)

The ending of the Stitch event through me for a loop. Although I think it may be a tie in to the Book 7 dream themes, it was such an odd ending with very little explanation. Perhaps the book will be involved for future events, but no one remembers anything, nor did we see the book again once it closed.

I thought my theory that the book belonged to Ambrose (and was snuck into the NRC library by Chenya) was possible, but the ending didn’t answer a single question about the book. (Credit to Ekala on YouTube for these screenshots and translations!!)

However, the last shots we got of the book gives me some material to work with 🤔 The entire event seems to be captured in this book, with a mixture of writing and photos. There’s even an explicit “the end.” This is very sus to me lmao, especially knowing that the book can take you to another world. Why would the book record all these events?

Edit: A lot of the classic Disney movies start the story by opening a book with the title of the movie on it. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio etc. Even more suspicious 🤨

However, I don’t think this specific story can be seen again. The book cover changes with the location, see? So I’m assuming that once the book goes back to a plain cover, the Stitch story and the photos will disappear. It’s still in the book, but it just won’t be visible anymore. I’m also assuming that when there’s no image on the book cover, the pages are blank. (This book feels very Ever After High lmaoo)

But what interests me is how aged the book is. A lot of modern book pages are made to be more protected against the elements, but older books tends look browned or yellowed because of their long time exposure to light, oxygen, and or humidity. The reddish edges of the book also appear to be a sign of this. The cover is pristine looking, likely due to its magic, but the inside reveals its age. Hm. I still feel confident about the book belonging to Ambrose due to this factor. Since Ambrose is the 63rd, the book may have been passed down his family.

But what REALLY caught my eye was the sparks of BLUE magic when the book closed. Blue??

I’m not an expert of Disney media lmao, but I can’t immediately think of a character who’s magic was blue. Merryweather, one of the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty, comes to mind, but it doesn’t make sense that green and red magic from Flora and Fauna wouldn’t show up either.

Next what comes to mind is Merlin, who Ambrose is based off of. He seems a lot more likely, one because of Ambrose, and two because of Merlin’s signature blue color. Ever when he transformed into various animals in Sword of the Stone, he would still be blue. What troubles me though is the color of his magic. It consists of various colors in the shapes of stars, but not blue. Red and green are most commonly seen in his magic aura.

Maybe I’m overthinking this haha, but TWST is fairly consistent with the colors of magic. The Light Trio (Silver, Kalim, and Rook) has light magic, so no matter their spell element, it appears as light. Regular magic seems to show up as white sparkles, with the exception of Malleus and his green fireflies. So blue magic seems significant.

But then I remembered about the newest event announced with two next characters that are likely based off Honest John and Gideon- who are from Pinocchio.

Pinocchio has the Blue Fairy, and the confirmation of Honest John and Gideon brings the possibility of the Blue Fairy as a character.

In the song, When You Wish Upon A Star, the Blue Fairy is referred to as “Fate.” She can take on different forms, including a wishing star and a dove. She can even give a wooden puppet life. She also has BLUE magic.

All the characters were essentially “wishing” for a beach event, weren’t they? And the book granted their wish, even if they lost their memories in the end. And despite the memory loss, they all made to agreement to visit the beach together during summer vacation. So not only did they experience their wish, they likely made it come true in the real world as well. This feels very familiar to the Blue Fairy’s actions, who guides Pinocchio but is also hands-free in his fate. She gave him not only an opportunity, but a choice, which is powerful on its own.

Perhaps this book is a creation of the Blue Fairy herself? (Or maybe she’s inside the mirror on the book cover LMAO this is a common crack theory of mine)

The Foolish Dictionary (An Exhausting Work of Reference to Un-certain English Words, Their Origin, Meaning, Legitimate and Illegitimate Use, Confused by a Few Pictures) by Gideon Wurdz (Charles Wayland Towne), with illustrations by Wallace Goldsmith, 1904.

At first glance I thought it was a ripoff of Ambrose Bierce's The Devil's Dictionary and -- yes and no, actually. Bierce started writing jocular definitions to words in newspaper columns in 1867, but he didn't begin compiling them into book form until 1905, thus the concept existed for 30 years prior to this book yet this book hit the racks two years before the first iteration [letters A-L] of Bierce's The Cynic's Word Book.

Comparison: Wurds gets right to the point, Bierce speaks a bit more pseudo-scholarly, so it's easier to get into The Foolish Dictionary.

An example from this book is:

ATHLETE: A dignified bunch of muscles, unable to split wood or sift the ashes."

You can find both yourself online -- Google Books has this tome as a PDF, and Project Gutenburg has some version of Bierce's book available with clickable indexing.

it's so awesome you wanna know about my projects, and i'm happy to share a character and a very brief portion of their story, because i have been working on them for a while.

the interactive fiction i have been working on has a name now,

"of nature and nations." or onan if you're intimate.

you can choose the gender and pronouns of your mc, name them however you want (and you might be able to choose a species as well, fingers crossed, i'm still checking that possibility).

i've been writing the lore and drawing the maps, commissioning artists so i get everything nicely done. there's one book ready to go, out of three to be released.

today i'm only sharing a moodboard i made a while ago, while playing with colors and concepts for one of the possible 7 endgame li's (this number might change depending on how the story flows).

meet chan-yeol.

prince and heir of the throne of pyricus.

trained in the art of war, master of sword fighting, bow and arrow and daggers. being the current general, his strategy is to keep the kingdoms separate. he disagrees with his father, who insists the land of arborea, the most prosperous place in all miraculo, should be united with their own.

people talk about how he's a stuck up, possibly even cold and vindictive.

that's not true at all. he's also a murderer.

in his mind there's only one place to prosper and live in, and that is his home. as he comes for the tournament, and meets you, some things will change in his life. permanently.

chan-yeol will be featured on the great entrance, along with ambrose (female and male), gideon (male), taila/taika (female and male), mikah (male), emery (genderless).

during the tournament you'll "meet" ceresa, iris, luan and broturo. down the road, arina and macco. and three other cuties will make an appearance: yuna, siffi and nico.

i hope you guys like them. these characters are pretty much the most detailed people i've ever come up with. they've been legitimately taking my life for the last year or so.

this is all i can share for now. this work has been taking MY ENTIRE TIME, and i can't stop thinking about it. finishing this first book (currently on 20 chapters before the third editing) i am genuinely so happy with the progress!

hopefully i'll have more to share soon, fingers crossed!

I agree, I think it's a really pretty name. Did you know I was gonna have her go by "Sid" for the majority of the story? How tragic. Glad I'm not in that reality tbh. I think she was also Teagan at some point? Very very early on. Also quite cursed.

I do generally use visual references, but not always for faces? I tend to use previous art of the same character for refos, but sometimes I get the angles/anatomy wrong (do not look up my old art lmao) and it's useful to have photos of real people with similar features to look up. Tbh I should be using references for faces more often because I'm too cocky in that area but that's neither here nor there.

As for names, I go for a trifecta of sound-vibe-symbolism. All of them have to be at an acceptable level of correct before I use a name. I always see it as a semi-mystical thing where I "find" the name of an OC instead of giving it to them, because it has to stick to them properly before my brain accepts it as canon. Generally I start by looking at names that might fit symbolically, then eliminate names that might not sound right or fit the region the character comes from, and then go sound/vibe for what's left.

Anyway, yes, there's a bajillion names I wanna use sometime but never seem to find a place for. Let me check my nameberry account and see what I've favorited. Very short list of names and their hyperspecific vibes below the cut for those who want but a slice of the names I have on the backburner.

Leopold comes from two rich families. His father’s side, the Altons, lost their wealth in years of gambling and opium use, meaning he sought ways to provide for himself and his mother to keep them in luxury. He landed a job within the royal palace, due to the relationship between Victoria and his mother, Jane, he worked his way up from a mere Tea-Boy to the Firsr Footman. Leopold is a very charming, intelligent man who is beloved by many, though has found Princess Alice Lascelles has captured his heart. She just doesn’t know it yet. ‪(20-25. Ambrose is a very well respected man. His charm and elegance entices many, especially with his heroic deeds as a (former) knight in the King’s Army. Polished and poised, Ambrose is one of the most eligible bachelors in London, but he’s caught sight of Alice Lascelles’ lady in waiting, Theodosia Camden. He’s protective, too, and will do anything for those he loves. (21-27. Suggested FC: Rege Jean Page.)

Luther is a gruff man with a strong moral code and a protective streak. Coming from a large family in London’s slums, he’s made his way up in society with his hard work and determination. Luther takes his job as Princess Alice Lascelles’ guard very seriously. He won’t show it, but he has a soft spot for the Princess and cares deeply for her. Maybe a little too much. (30-50. Age is adjustable. FC is up to writer.)
