The way Freddy changes Kaz’s voice here is just… chef’s kiss. We never hear Kaz speak this softly and it breaks me a little each time. That, and his messed up, boyish hair and the little movements of his head while he’s talking- it’s a confession, an honest one about his affections (veiled though it is), and it’s Kaz at his most vulnerable until the armour scene in 2x08. He’s acting everything like the young, inexperienced man he is (in a romantic sense that is) and I love it.

And then he immediately goes and beats the shit out of the Dregs because woe betide Kaz Brekker actually allow himself to have feelings…

I like the idea that one of these (the harker records) being the canon ending continuation amidst the bad endings. (Strange Practice the book series had potential as detective supernatural hunting Harkers, but they were all so dull and the author clearly only vaguely knew the story).

Speaking of Cats Mexico, though, Alonzo laying his head on Demeter’s shoulder or hip during Grizabella’s final “Memory” is still one of my favourite bits of blocking when they did it.
