Post Covid harvest! Been gone for a minute because someone decided that it was ok to still go to work after testing positive for covid.... But I made it through it! Still have some after effects but those will shortly go away! This was in dire need of harvesting... all I could think about was my garden and thinking there's got to be a ton of fruits that needed harvesting! I was right and this isn't even all of it! Some will stay @ my home & some will be donated to community pantries and just other people! Went to the farm shop and got ourselves a cauliflower!! The pink one was lush last week .. so went back for more ... and of course they were all gone !!so snagged this fella .. weirdest cauliflower I ve ever seen .. looks amazing and so pretty .. I m going to be sad to eat it ( but not that sad 🤣🤣) covered in homemade cheese sauce ( gluten free ) . Then a stock up of other veg too - . I m saving my parsnips and carrots to grow bigger - I want to harvest them when I harvest the cabbages - a few with each cabbage for dinner - a while to go for the cabbages though ! 😭. . Yellow courgettes are still trying to give out more in the polytunnel bless them .. 💕 between those and the tomatoes I ve been amazed this year !! But next year going even bigger ! No space wasted ! I haven't been going out into my garden much lately, or doing much gardening. It's winter and I've been hibernating inside with lots of tea. But today I looked through my packets of seeds and put them in order of when I can start planting them in my greenhouse (not quite yet, alas). So I took a little wander outside to peruse my grounds and saw that my romenesco cauliflower is finally growing! I'm very excited about this. The plants are leggy, but they're making little yummy fractal beauties. Photos of chard, leeks and lettuces for fun.
