За то, что Вы больны — увы! — не мной,
За то, что я больна — увы! — не Вами.
Ah yes, Ornstein and Gwynevere friendship, one of my favourite dark souls hcs.
P.s. The text in this is Marina Tsvetaeva's poem "Мне нравится, что вы больны не мной...". I didn't translate it, because... well, poetry.

Gwynevere's charms are perfect for her role
Hilariously, the reason Gwynevere is so, ah, ample in her charms is, according to Miyazaki, that the concept artist drawing her got really excited about her design, and he didn't have heart to tell him to dial it back.
As it happens, though, it was actually a pretty good character design choice. Gwynevere is the Daughter of Lord Gwyn, and the ruling monarch of Anor Londo. She welcomes you after you beat the hardest boss in the game... the archers on the ramparts, and names you fully the Chosen Undead destined to succeed Lord Gwyn. She gives you a speech about how you alone, special and chosen, can restore the Age of Fire and succeed her father, and save the Undead from their suffering, how you are the only hope to save the world from darkness.
It's flattering, empowering and hopeful, and... it's a bit of a lie. She is an illusion cast by Gwyndolin, an illusion that is ultimately meant to... seduce you. Gwynevere is maternal, soft, beautiful, overwhelming, charming... and literally a fake woman meant to catch the player's eye and distract them. Even if by accident, her beauty and her… features are actually excellent character design for the purpose.

Seath often tried to bond with Gwyn's kids as an attempt to look good for the king with mixed results, Gwynevere always found him creepy and just nodded along anytime they'd interact, Gwyndolin loved him as a teacher and a friend, Nameless enjoyed him too to a degree, and Seath was like "Did I do it too well?" When he defected to the other dragons and Filianore was welcoming but was sent away before he got a good gauge of how she thought of him.

I know the timeline is a bit wonky so consider this mostly a headcanon but, the three siblings fighting Lord Gwyn over his decision to give Filianore away.
A young adult Nameless King, nearly getting physical with his father. ‘‘ARE WE ALL PAWNS TO YOU?! SHE’S BUT A BABE!’’ he shouts at Lord Gwyn. He’s already questioning and hating his father more and more, this is just another nail in the coffin.
Gwynevere, a teen goddess, bawls and shouts as well, not knowing what they’ll do to the only sister she’s ever had, but she’s quicker to quiet down when shouted back by her father, something NK tries to prevent by shielding her.
Gwyndolin, but a child, holds his baby sister close to him and cries silently, soothing her so their screams won’t wake her up. Screams and berating is all he can remember, that he’s ever known, and a part of him hopes this might be a way to save her from that, but he understands what her being given away means, someone else he loves that will never return.
Fuck Lord Gwyn lol
