I have three co-Warriors of Light who I write as part of the same universe. they are:

-Ellie Wiltarwyn, female Roegadyn dark knight/monk -Mia Longhart, female Hyur paladin -and Lilyana Tsuki, female Miqo'te ninja

Ellie is my main and the one in which I've invested *checks /playtime and despairs* 279 days as of this writing, and the one I do high-end content with -- though Mia is beginning to catch up...

some more personal details below for each!

Elilgeim "Ellie" Wiltarwyn, a flameout from the Studium who found new meaning in her life when the Echo gave her a purpose and directed her to Gridania, where Yda and Papalymo recruit her for the Scions. Throughout the MSQ, she goes from White Mage through ARR, picks up Dark Knight in Heavensward, switches to Reaper for Endwalker, and puts the scythe down for Monk post-Endwalker. It's pronounced VILL-ter-win, like "filter" with a slightly harder nearly-V sound.

Mia Longhart, a refugee from Garlemald with a strong moral compass that drove her to Eorzea to fight against her homeland. She drills in the Gladiator's Guild in Ul'dah until the Echo points her to Thancred, who recruits her for the Scions. Throughout the MSQ, she consistently sticks to Paladin, but learns how to be a White Mage, Samurai, and Bard for party flexibility. To overcome the Garlean inability to wield aether, she works with Cid and his Ironworks to have magitech implants to amplify what the Echo grants her.

Lilyana Tsuki, a Seeker of the Sun miqo'te who refuses to speak of the clan whence she came. She considers herself a stray who's fallen in with the Rogue's Guild in Limsa Lominsa as long as they'll take care of her, which is until the Echo directs her to investigate dangers that catch Y'shtola's eye as well, and she recruits her for the Scions. Throughout the MSQ, she fights with both knives as Rogue and with fists as Monk until she goes missing at the end of ARR and its bloody banquet. She's found by Yugiri in Heavensward and trains as a Ninja, then dips her toe into Astrologian and Dancer as those opportunities become available. She's incredibly snuggly and will curl up for a doze at a friend's side if given the chance.

8/11/23 Edit: this is when I switched Mia's surname from Dragosina (was never really satisfied with that) to Longhart. a) it's a little more in-line with FF names in general, not just XIV's (like y'know, Tifa Lockhart. She's basically the Tifa to Ellie's Cloud...) b) it makes it less obvious she's related to a certain mad Garlean scientist (for some reason, I was stuck on keeping a semblance of "Asina" in her surname, but now I've decided it doesn't matter, and she wants to distance herself) and c) Longhart doesn't actually mean "long heart," long is the Chinese word for dragon, so now her name's "Dragon heart" and I think that owns. 😊

(...I guess it might be a little appropriative for a Garlean citizen to take a name from a culture they've probably conquered, but I don't think it's enough to make it insensitive rather than respectful. Actually... who is the Chinese equivalent in FFXIV? Is it Doma or Yanxia?)

When Lucina was a year and a half old, Rebecca had finally convinced her father that he would not harm his granddaughter if he held her. The process was slow at first with Rebecca getting Hunter to be near the small child. It wasn’t that Hunter hated his granddaughter, he was just worried that he would harm her if he held her.

A month had gone past since Rebecca had gotten Hunter through this process and the toll of constantly having to wake up in the middle of the night to either feed or change Lucina’s diaper were taking their toll on Rebecca and Chrom. Hunter had offered to watch over Lucina to give the new parents some time alone. Rebecca was very grateful for the peace and quiet for a time. She gave her father Lucina and went on her way to attend a council meeting with Chrom. Carefully tucked in his arms, Hunter began to attend to his own duties with his granddaughter. He stopped by the little nursery and found a little baby holder that Rebecca would wear when she had to keep Lucina close but also attend her duties. 

Loosing the straps, he put on the harness and placed Lucina into the harness. She gave a few gurgle giggles as she was placed into the harness. It was adventure time! 

He would walk around the castle and check for any holes in the security. Any cracks in the walls. Just his normal routine. Only stopping if Lucina got fussy and needed a change or fed from her bottle. The super soldier with the baby strapped to his chest definitely got some looks from the staff and the guards. There was some fawning over the duo as what was more cute than a grandfather taking care of his granddaughter?

Midway through the day, Lucina would pat her hands against Hunter’s chestplate still trying to fully grasp the finer motion movements. He would look down to see her and she would move her hands to his helmet. Becoming enamored with the shiny visor. It was one of the few times Hunter would smile.

“Ba-Ba-!” She vocalized.

“Yes. I’m here.” He responded.

Looking back up, he saw some of the knights he had running drills go around. One of them seemed to lag behind the others as they were running around a little track that Hunter had created.

“Come on recruit! Let’s go! Pick up the pace! You won’t be the top knight in this kingdom if you fall behind like this!”

A gesture came from Hunter where his hand was stretched out in a sweeping motion to show the knight to pick up the pace. Now most loud noises would scare small children but Lucina seemed to not be disturbed by her grandfather’s loud voice. In fact, she tried to imitate it. She too stuck out her hand to copy her grandfather and yelled out in baby speak.

“Ga-Ga ba!” she yelled.

Near the end of the evening, Hunter walked back to Chrom and Rebecca after they were finally free from their meeting and slowly began to take Lucina out of the little holder that she was in. When she was out, he handed her to Chrom. At that point Lucina was about to fall asleep in his arms. Rebecca couldn’t believe that her father was wearing the baby holder or that it was even more adorable on him.

“Did you have a good day dad?” Rebecca asked.

“It was pretty standard. Lucina seemed to enjoy the walk around the castle and even started to try and issue commands to some of the recruits. I’m going to go patrol around for the night. Sleep well you two.”

As Chrom and Rebecca put Lucina in her crib, Rebecca’s datapad would go off with a notification from S.T.A.R. The A.I had sent pictures from the helmet cam with Lucina looking into the helmet with a smile on her face.

It was an understatement that taking of a newborn child is tough work. In normal circumstances for these two, taking care of Lucina would not be that troubling but add to it a nation and their citizens’ problems to the mix, they will eventually break down of all the work. Fredrick suggested a nan to take care of Lucina like how Chrom and Lissa were raised but Chrom and Rebecca didn’t like the idea. They are here now. The battle with Grima was a forced reality on them and they had to accept that someone else care for their child during that time. But now, they are here, and they will do everything in their power to care for her and love her.

Thankfully, they were not alone in this. Everyone came to help whenever they can. Lissa would take Lucina some days to play with Owain, Sumia, too and the other shepherds. Even the knights would volunteer to look after the little princess so their king and queen can work with ease in their minds. Lucky for them that they have Hunter, too.

The grandfather had taken his grandchild for the day to allow the two to work without worrying about her. Chrom was notified about an hour or so of Hunter and Lucina’s little adventure. A butler pointed out of the window for the king to look and see Hunter walking around with ... what is--ah! Baby holder thing that Rebecca brought back for the UNSC! Aw, look at him. Chrom was brought back to the meeting, sighing internally at how much he wants to go down there and be with them. Can’t be helped. He’ll just get this meeting done quickly, as possible, and go see his daughter.

By the end of his and Rebecca’s work, the two were enjoying some down time when Hunter came in with Lucina strapped to his chest. The sight up close is even adorable to see. “Thank you for your hard work as always, father.” Chrom carefully held Lucina close to him when Hunter moved her out of the baby holder thing. Kissing her forehead softly, he went to lay her in her crib gently with Rebecca’s help. Then something shone and caught Chrom’s attention, leaning to the side to see the pictures S.T.A.R. had sent. “Heh, they look adorable ... I’m glad Hunter is around ... I wouldn’t know what to do, honestly ...” he kissed his wife and they called a day.
