anyways jennafer newberry was a very cute glinda and lissa deguzman was an absolutely incredible elphaba and i love this musical so much

#funniest shit was at the end of something bad when elphabas like 'someone needs to tell the wizard whats going on' and that whole part #HER MIC CUT OUT #couldnt hear anything she said #it wasn't fixed by the time fiyero came out asleep in his cart so she was just shouting #then ofc it was fixed by her next lines in dancing thru life #fiyero stuttered during the 'genuinely self absorbed and deeply shallow' line and it was cute bc it sounded like he got jumpscared by #making eye contact with elphaba #i avoided crying during no one mourns the wicked but i was close #I GOT A REALLY CUTE TANKTOP!!!! that says for the first time i feel wicked #seeing it live again made me want to rewatch some of the boots i have saved #mainly carmens last show #but also def the gcm and mkm boot #god ginna claire is such a good glinda every day i think abt how lucky i was to see her #AND HANNAH CORNEAU AS ELPHABA #i love wicked so much #simon says

do you know if any of the recent Bway Elphabas or Glindas are queer? feel like it elevates the show so much if so, i feel like just don't know how the performers feel about Gelphie/who is leaning into that element of the characters

That I know of, openly queer women who are playing/have played Elphaba on Broadway: Mary Kate Morrissey, Lissa deGuzman, Lindsay Pearce, Hannah Corneau.

And not on Broadway (unfortunately) but Cynthia Erivo is openly bi :)

For Glinda I only know of Suzie Mathers, who wasn't on Broadway either but still deserves to be mentioned because she was insane in the role.

You know one thing I love about Wicked?

It’s the fact that I get to start crushing on every Elphaba twice. I see her in the show first and I go “Ah, she’s gorgeous! I love her!”

And then I look up the actress to see what she looks like de-greenified, and I go “AAaaAA she’s so CUTE whAt”
