god dude do you ever think about how young harlem was at the time of the resurgence. like come on he was like a high school senior, right? 18-19 at the most. thrown into a new world and being one of the people looked up to as it shifted. he’s only like, mid twenties around the time of the prime defenders. still a young adult but the only two people who understood what he went through are gone or inaccessible. he is the only fully remaining pillar of the prime force and he’s bearing it alone. auughh

I think Arthur Bennett and Harlem Shade should meet. They’re so similar yet so different - shadow power users with a flair for the dramatics. If you put them in the same room only one would make it out, I think

i don’t have many but::

harlem absolutely used to have a mullet, dyed a different color. he only cut it short after the school he TA’d at got on his ass for it but he retaliated by dying his hair bright pink since tjey never mentioned the color.

i also think that, pre-resurgence, miss G would make him read books to the kids and he’d get so angry about it, but now that he’s a hero he still does it occasionally when he finds time. he pretends not to love it but it’s something he misses from his pre-hero life.

he is surprisingly good at baking. like he’s so emo and macabre but he makes the BEST fucking cupcakes like it’s nobody’s business.

he still has jason’s contact saved and pinned in his phone. he doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to delete it.

when he was first trying to recruit dakota, he somehow got juked into buying ice cream for him.
