Sunday breakfast time at Dom's Broad Street Eatery in Windsor, CT. My companion and I got granola French toast, apple-walnut pancakes, breakfast potato skins, apple fritter French toast, and a Polish benedict with homefries.

So... I found this old obscure clip from one of my favorite old school horror anthology flicks. DO NOT WATCH if you're actually gonna watch Tales From The Darkside: The Movie.

It is dark, graphic with the creature effects and horror... but I loved this back in the day. SPOILERS!! .

. The story is this man witnessed a horrifying creature (a gargoyle) murder someone, and the creature makes him swear to never speak a word of it to anyone and it would spare his life. He keeps his promise, meets this woman, falls in love has kids, the whole nine over the years.

Eventually. He tells her. Turns out she was under a curse and his telling her, made her and the kids revert to gargoyles, she kills him, and then she and the kids turn to stone to rest forever on the skyscraper. ...since *she was* the gargoyle he witnessed kill someone those many years ago.

10 out of 10. Perfect dark tale.

Awful heartbreaking ending. etc, etc.

Their home fries just aren’t made the same anymore. My dad used to take us there during the recession since kids got to eat free & id get the same thing each time, no problem. The recipes were consistent for YEARS until one day they decided their home fries need to taste like ass, for some reason!

Another breakfast at Country View Resturant in Brooklyn, CT. My companion and I split a loaded baked potato omlette with sourdough toast and homefries, banana bread french toast, apple crisp wafles, and corn beef hash. I also got an oreo-m&m pancake.

Result: Failure. I couldn't quite finish the pancake on my own, and my companion wanted no part of it.
