toga and spinner's controversial true crime podcast widely criticized for its lurid descriptions and unnerving enthusiasm but wildly popular nonetheless. however many question where exactly they get the level of detail that they do for the more recent crimes covered.
vs dabi's podcast which idk. maybe it was a a competing true crime. thing. maybe he just thought that he could talk a lot and people would come. anyways no one liked and he gains no traction until he hires skeptic as an editor but skeptic hijacks the entire thing and just starts taking all his dabi voice recordings and just has 'dabi' says whatever random fuckin shit that skeptic thinks deserves to be in a podcast. but it works and they get an audience so shrug.

If the batkids had a podcast
Redhood: I was a pretty easy child-
Nightwing: You were.
Redhood: Straight A's and everything. Like, I would be hanging out with Batman- (laugh) I would be- You know right?
Nightwing: Yeah.
Redhood: Just chilling. No patrol day. And he would be like "what do you want to do?" and I would be like- "Read! :D"
Nightwing *chuckles*: "Homework!"
Redhood: "Homework!". And then- And then I fucking died-
Red Robin: WHEZE.
Redhood: I fucking- Don't be a easy child.
Red Robin (chocking): Don't be a good kid.
Redhood: Don't be a good kid. Start- I don't know– Start throwing shit on fire or something.

"What will you do without new shows" I haven't watched a mainstream television show as it released in years. I'm catching up on shows my parents liked in the 90s. I'm listening to fiction podcasts with 5 fans. I'm playing a video game the creators want you to pirate. I'm watching a minecraft roleplay. I may not know what I'm gonna do but I'm sure as hell not gonna be a fuckin scab babygirl.

I must confess that I've never voted in audience-driven podcast awards, partly because I want to vote for every podcast I've ever heard.
In light of this, I'm inventing a new one I'm calling the Very Nice Podcast Award (VNPA). How it works is that if I listen to a podcast and enjoy it, or suggest it to someone else who does, it wins a VNPA. I understand this is a lot of authority to bestow upon myself but this way every podcast I like gets to win so I think it's okay.

Listen this may be out of pocket but I think you'd really enjoy The Silt Verses. It's a folk horror-fantasy podcast, and it's got a mostly queer cast with absolutely no main romance. If you want a media about two characters who just fucking hate each other stuck on a quest and have that dinamic of one being disilusioned to their God while the other is a staunch believer, season 1 is gonna be your jam

I've been wracking my brain trying to find out who exactly Detective Noel might be and I think I have a vague hand wavy idea.
I know people want it to be Parker, Kayne, or even the KIY but I think Arthur would have recognized Parker's voice even if John struggled to recognize him, Kayne was pointed out to have never known about the lighter, and the King seems like a long shot, but not altogether impossible. However!
Way back in season 1 we learned that the book that had once held John was actually addressed to Roland Cummings, a retired private investigator who owned 13 Mosby Avenue (Arthur and Parker's office) and as of now is MIA after the police found the body of his wife in the freezer and the neighbors suspected he fled to Canada (Part Two: The Missing Girl). He's also the father of Amanda Cummings, one of the missing girls who was later killed by the King (because of Arthur, whoops). Now, his office was leased out to Elijah Strong and his partner, Teddy Caine before being taken over by Arthur and Parker. Elijah had committed suicide in prison and we later find out that the Butcher was the one who actually killed him. As of right now we have no definitive answer as to what became of Teddy Caine.
Arthur's engraved lighter came from the desk of their office.
My reach is that Detective Noel is either Roland Cummings or (less so) Teddy Cain. I'm leaning more towards Cummings simply because he had seemed the most knowledgeable about The Horrors™️ and was in fact sort of the catalyst to the entire series being the original receiver for John's book. And it's also possible he and Arthur never really met. It would also make sense as to why he's working under a different name because he would still be under suspicion after what happened with his family near Arkham. Teddy Caine I'm less sure about because all we know is that he worked at the office for a time and had a run-in with the Butcher.
Detective Noel could also literally be none of these people or someone else entirely and I'm just thinking too hard. But ooh the possibilities! They make me [stick figure gore]

I'm not the first person to say this, but there really is something groundbreaking about the lack of romantic plotlines in Wolf 359.
Wolf 359 is a story aimed at and about adults. It's partly about what it means to be human. It's partly about how we exist in relation to other people. It's partly about interpersonal connection and understanding. It has character relationships at its heart. It features so many moments of love and care between characters. It takes place across just over two years of the characters' lives, with 61 episodes and a main cast that grows to a decent size.
And despite all this, the show doesn't feature a single canonical 'on-screen' romantic (or sexual) relationship. Perhaps that shouldn't be as rare as it is, but it's one of the many things that makes Wolf 359 special to me.
