You knew he was really angry when he ignored your calls for the next week. Of course you felt terrible for hurting his feelings, but you hated to see him so uptight all the time. It would be good for him to loosen up a little. Or so you'd tried to get through his thick skull.

Regardless, you weren't going to let Mr. Grumpy pants spoil your fun. You'd already ordered your costume, and the chance to party in a haunted house?! You'd kiss and make up with Miguel later.

The party was a bust. Oh, you loved everybody there, but without Miguel at your side, there was a heaviness to the evening.

The evening just went from subpar to down right shitty when a spider you didn't recognize decided he didn't want to take no for an answer. You really tried to be nice, but that was until he touched you. Just as you opened your mouth to threaten to break his hand,

"It's a good thing I did." His voice rumbled low, sending a thrill down your spine. His pupils dilated as he took in your flimsy costume. "Mmm, I like this." He purred, running a finger under the strap, teasing thr skin of your shoulder.

Your eyes fluttered shut, and you bit back a groan. He knew what that tone did to you, the arrogant shit.

"Miggy..." The whimper that left your lips, sent Miguel into a frenzy. Before he entirely lost his senses, he had the forethought to shepard you into one of the darkened corridors of the drafty old haunted house.

Emphasis on drafty. And your costume did little to offer warmth.

"Pobre cosita." Miguel purred, pulling you back into his arms until your back met the furnace that was his warm chest. "You're shivering." He murmured, dipping his head to nuzzle at your ear. "Let me warm you up." You shivered at his honeyed tone, as he wrapped an arm around your middle, firmly anchoring you against him.

"Miguel, please." Your voice came out in a breathy whisper as his free hand slither down to toy with your waist band.

"What do you need, amor?" His nose brushed your ear before he pressed a soft kiss to the tender spot under your ear. You rested your head against his chest and whined.

"You, Migs, please..."

"Shh, you don't need to beg baby, I got you." His fingers delved past the fabric of your gauzy pants and he cursed under his breath at the damp spot on your panties.
