You don’t have to write incredibly kinky fics. You don’t have to write smut fics at all. You can write sweet romantic fics. You can write platonic fics. You can write comfort fics or slice of life. I know fandom spaces make it seem like there’s an unspoken contest about who can write the horniest most fucked up fics but you don’t have to join in if you don’t want to. You should write what makes you happy, you should write what you feel comfortable with and not what an imaginary audience wants. Your favorite characters can be whatever you want them to be, fanon is all made up anyway.

Here's few things I uh idk. Maybe I can Ramble a bit

Not only does Poopypants own an ice cream trunk by himself, but he also owns an ice cream shop I believe. After giving up on his plan of getting rid of laughter he decided to own a shop a few days later and started gaining money from his work. Later on, Edith visits the place since it is Saturday and no staff members are in school due to a lack of faculty and security. And this is where they meet each other lol. However, Poopypants isn't good at comforting people because he never encountered a lunch lady in his job, especially if she's new there. He tried his best to listen and somehow became sorta neutral with her. They remain as friends tho- somehow she can recognize the trunk and visits him when it's free time.

The idea of him being part of the crew feels weird. It was originally supposed to be with Edith, Toilette, Jerry, and any staff, but if he was involved in the 1st parts of the AU, it would be strange and early for him to appear. I know I already said this a lot, but since the AU is so long, it has sequels or similar to the seasons compared to the original. His casual design isn't bad. It's just that it might be hard for him to be involved in something that he isn't part of, but still recognize the school and see how things have changed.

Forgot to mention he has a house em. I tried to use my imagination and wonder what would it look like if he had a house and had a lab somewhere hidden in there. Sometimes he watches the news. Sometimes he idk. Still in progress.

I sometimes see people apologizing for not having caught up on fics or only getting to them later or in general for not reading something (I do it too). And I just want to tell you that you have to do what you feel like doing in the limited downtime we all have – read what you feel like reading and when you feel like reading. Fics have no expiration date, you can save them to your reblog drafts/bookmarks and read them months later and I promise you the author will be over the moon to see a reblog or comment. Our works stay with us for a long time. Does that also result in open tabs and fics you'll never actually get to? Yes, but that's okay. You don't owe anyone anything. Fanworks are a source of joy and escapism and creative fulfilment. Support does mean a lot, of course, but it should not happen because you feel some type of guilt towards your friends or mutuals or favorite authors. It's not transactional but it should be genuine. We need to preserve the joy of fanworks and the community around them, especially now that AI and capitalism and social media culture try to wrench it from our hands.
