I love your Jason because he’s like. so uncertain. Like I enjoy the foul-mouthed cocky asshole depictions of Jason too, but you’re so right! He probably would be an awkward virgin! He died when he was 15! Now he’s back from the dead and jacked as hell but he doesn’t have that much more lived experience! And he is so Aware of that. It’s no wonder Tim makes him nervous. Love him.
I love the idea of him being a foul-mouthed cocky asshole precisely because of how young and inexperienced he is and how much hes just winging everything. Like not in a “sexy bad boy with a heart of gold” way more like a “hormonal teenager going through rebellious phase lashing out” way. Or like “cornered prey animal” way. Sidenote but I do love that Batman’s sidekick is named after a small bird. Like they could have gone with a much cooler, more intimidating animal. It could have been Batman and Shark Panther. U know. Anyway.
He’s basically thrust into this abrupt and violent second puberty. And I love the idea of him hurtling through life half-cocked, running on fumes and bravado, because of course he’s put himself in a situation where revealing the slightest weakness or inexperience = death.
In my head he’s essentially a theater kid giving the performance of a (second) lifetime you know. There’s an element of performance inherent to being Robin, it just manifests differently, like the circus or the theater or one’s own private detective noir. Idk to me it’s like the Red Hood definitely isn’t as intertwined with his identity as, say, Batman is to Bruce? It feels less like a revealed facet and more like a character he’s playing, to me. By the time he realizes maybe he doesn’t want to have completely destroyed his relationships with the bats he has already done irreparable damage (he thinks). So he’s furious at himself and also at them and it’s like. Sorry but there’s that thing Interview with the Vampire is doing where it’s like whatever you’re feeling at the moment you’re turned becomes the Great Feeling of the rest of your life. Like your core becomes that crystallized moment of fear or heartbreak and no matter what, that’s the biggest thing you’ll feel forever, that’s the feeling you’ll always return to. So for me it’s like, in the moment of death he is fundamentally changed and some part of him will forever be suspended in that moment. He is the ghost haunting himself u know. I forget where I was going with this omg
Anyway. A lot of the appeal of Jason & Tim for me is that it begins with one half of the pairing being their absolute worst self. Like truly the most awful mortifying cruel violent terrified grieving self. It starts with that and so the development of their relationship in the aftermath is very compelling to me.

Could Audic compel Xanny? Eh idk but here's a quick drabble!
-
"When you said- cough cough - you'd kill for me," you clung to his shoulder for support as your body gave out, "I didn't think you'd be killing me."
The thin veil of reddish-brown haze drained from Xanthus' eyes as painted tears, staining his cheeks like your blood stained his skin. His eyes followed your form, from the crooked, sympathetic smile on your face to the hand piercing through your chest- his hand.
"No, no, no, no, no-," he murmured, easing his hands from your body then guiding you down, cradling you tenderly to his chest, "Love, Love please talk to me-"
"Shhhh Xanthus, I'm still here," you whispered.
"I'm sorry," he cried, his body shaking under your feeble touch, "I'm so so sorry- I don't know how- why-"
"I know, I know my love. It's not your fault," you whispered softly, fingers tracing his cheek, "You'd never willingly do this."
Your breathing grew shallow, each breath a struggle. "Just... hold me," you murmured, your voice barely a whisper.
Xanthus held you tighter, his heart pounding in his chest, the reality of your fading life seeping into his soul. "Please, Love, don't leave me," he begged, tears streaming down his face. "I've only just met you, please."
A faint smile touched your lips as you looked into his eyes one last time. "I'll always be with you," you whispered, your voice fading with your breaths. Your body relaxed into his arms, the tension leaving you as life slipped away.
Xanthus felt your final breath against his skin, a shudder passing through him as the world around him fell silent. The silence pressed in on him, a crushing weight that stole the air from his lungs. He couldn't hear anything. He couldn’t feel you against his skin anymore. He couldn’t hear the screams that were wrenched from his gut, raw and painful.
"As much as I enjoy this little... display of affection," Audric's voice echoed, laced with disgust. "I don't have all day for you to cry over something that's already gone."
Xanthus was too lost in grief to hear it, the steps approaching behind him. His blurred vision and hunched over body left him vulnerable, even more now that the bond was broken.
"Enough, Audric." Dontis steps between them, a dagger clenched tightly between his fingers.
"Oh? What's this? The sidekick is protecting this pathetic display of weakness?" Audric muses, his eyes moving from the blade in Dontis' hand to his bruised face.
"Compassion isn't weakness Audric," Dontis replied, "It's what sets us apart from monsters like you."

Felt the sudden urge to dump random Skylanders biology headcanons so here you go
Sky-Fauns have innate magic that allows them to walk on clouds, hence their name. Itt's a very trace amount though, so most can't cast spells. Buckshot is the exception due to the whole maze thing
There's different types of sphinxes that vary in temperament, element, and appearance depending on where they live. The two most known species are Harvest Sphinxes and Great or Enchanted Sphinxes. This is because sphinxes are so attuned to the elements their bodies will drastically change depending on the elemental energies of the place they were born (i.e a sphinx born in a Magic zone will always be an Enchanted Sphinx, even if they weren't born in the Enchanted Desert)
This does mean sphinxes can't be elementless, nor can they survive without magic.
Ambush is a one-man species. His species doesn't really reproduce as much as it does rebirth: a single specimen lives for 1000 years, and close to the end of the current Tree Knight's lifespan, a special seed appears in the Mystical Bamboo Forest. When the old Knight dies, a new one emerges from this seed, matures for a little bit, then takes up guarding the forest for another 1000 years
Tidepool is a humanoid mollusk I will die on this hill
King Pen has weird knees akin to actual penguins. The Senseis have collectively agreed to never mention this, lest they all remember this fact and experience immense discomfort
