This is an in-flight meal on the way to and from Fukuoka. It was cloudy when I left Haneda Airport, but the sky was a beautiful blue sky.

Every valentine's day Chuuya gets desperate, passionate love letters from someone whom he doesn't know. It's full of poetic lines and cryptic messages about how they are fated to be together and are soulmates. He wonders who this secret admirer is and decides to write back to them and ask them out on a date.

He goes to the restaurant they decide to meet at and takes a U-turn back to the receptionist and cancels his reservation when he sees Dazai sitting there waiting for him. Because Chuuya.exe has stopped working.

winter folklore! rein & myrrh, two vaguely connected figures, often connected further in clans with harpy members.

rein is a dragon folk tale, a wingless (but still airborne) dragon accompanied by a herd of flying caribou. their steps are silent, their presence only given away by the faint ringing of bells. they leave glittering snow in their wake and gifts in every home with a candle burning- on the windowsill, on the hearth, on the kitchen table.

myrrh is a mischievous figure from harpy folklore. his tales often feature him disguising himself as a poor traveler and visiting harpy homes in the winter, asking for food and a place to sleep. those who assist him find wonderful gifts where he had been the night before. those who refuse him wake to some trick- their walls painted in garish colors or all their clothing tied in knots.

many clans/flocks combine these myths, and others, of course. harpy families often keep candles lit throughout the winter, and dragons open their homes to neighbors and strangers alike.

airplane situation is dire. heard the guy on the intercom say that one of the meal options was rice and beans and i thought "oh that doesn't sound too bad. i'll get that one" and got my hopes up like a buffoon. of course when the meal gets here and i open it it turns out that it's actually fucking rice and PEAS. so my dinner tonight is gonna be some rice crackers and a piece of cheese i guess. good thing i ate a lot before the flight

#long flights fucking suck when you have sensory issues with food #the meal is by far the worst part of the flight. i don't get why they can't just do pizza or whatever #why does it always have to be some fancy bullshit ugh #also my legs are really hurting now too. i hate flying on airplanes
