Yoo so this is my first time ever doing digital anime fan art and I’m pretty happy with it! 😀

Here are a few art tips that help me when digitally painting:

1. Use thick strokes for sketches:

This gives you a lot more freedom to make lineart as thick/thin as you want while remaining in the general area

2. Use clipping masks

These remove the need to erase outside the lines because the layer is positioned in only the area below it

3. Clean up lineart before flatting:

This removes the need to erase white spots, fix intersecting lines later on

4. Blending modes are your friends

They can be better ways to show light source than simply using an airbrush for glow.
