In all seriousness I have my own "light" metaphorically speaking, but for a lot of introjects they don't or have to work hard to create their own.

And even for me...I have my own light too but I wouldn't have that without his being there first.

I have my fire, but only because he was the flame on the lighter. So in that way, it still came from my source even though now my flame has grown larger and brighter than the part of it he gave to me.

I also have a positive relationship with my source and see him more like family than anything else and also don't think of him as an imposter, more like a twin brother who's grown distant. So the lyric about hoarding doesn't hit for me specifically- he's not stealing anything.

But the general concept and the use of "we" over and over again as well does hit. He's the other me- not me me, but I still think of him sometimes in a shared sense- like things that happen or photos or things people say about us not his or mine but "ours". Other days I don't, it fluctuates.
