I’ve shared this story before but with the sports gambling discourse I need to talk about it again!

In March, I was at a bar before a Bruins game. It was crazy, so many people in the bar were already way passed the limit. There were two girls there, who were working for one of the sports betting apps. They were teaching people about odds / parlays / etc. and of course the only people betting were drunk and we had no idea if we could help! They came up to us asking if we wanted to put money on the Bruins, but we told them we were from RI and couldn’t bet in MA, they then told us that we absolutely can - we managed to get out of it. It’s just so frustrating because the nhl can’t be like “sports betting bad” and then promote it absolutely fucking everywhere - especially in bars when people are drunk! It’s so ridiculous!!!

(Also, we literally just saw a video of a guy in prison who won 12,000 dollars doing parlays. How???)
