It was Sqrnix eve and the Thotari Assassins had gathered for crottled greebs, and Karaoke.

Though they didn't feel like their usual darkly cheerful selves: They'd made the mistake of accepting a contract on a human.

First Blade muttered, "They're impossible! I poured so much poison into his drink! It should have ripped the water from his cells, and split his tissues!"

Second Blade added despondently, "I tried poison too! Rakandi dust in his food. At first, I thought it had lost it's potency, but then I saw him shaking more onto his meal! It should have burned him form the inside out!"

Third Blade peeled a tentacle from the crottle greebs off her face. "Pfah, you're telling me! After watching you two, I tried a bitter alkaloid from the creature's own home world, boiled into a foul brew - I didn't even try, I just handed the thing the bowl."

Fourth Blade noted, "I'm kind of seeing a theme here. I tried an acidic compound because at that point I'd just made a bet with Garki that the human would just gobble it down."

The other three looked at her.

"What? It's not like you had any luck!"

Meanwhile Dave the Human was writing a review of his stay:

"Locals very friendly. Last night they made me a pitcher of cocktails, brought me a really interesting curry, and then in the morning got me some coffee and aspirin. Four stars. Minus one star because the crottled greebs snuck into my room and ate my bootlaces."

New entry for my list of pleasant smelling dye materials--sage. Starts off smelling like you'd think (which is already good) but by the end smells like some kind of lemom ecinacea tea.

(Other good smelling dyes include chamomile and thyme. Neutral/no smell dyes include onion skin and avocado pit or peel)

In short terms, Deadsnax is an Bugsnax AU that takes place after the main events of the game!

It follows Wambus (ofc) after he started to hallucinate and have strange dreams about Snaktooth. Nothing seemed to fix it, so one night he went alone back to Snaktooth without telling anyone.

Once and quickly when Triffany found out, her and the rest of the main 9 Grumps (Cromdo, Wiggle, Gramble, Shelda, Chandlo, Snorpy, Filbo, Floofty, Beffica) all set out to Snaktooth tooth island to find Wambus.

All of them were unaware that the Bugsnax had started to mold, in some way. The parasites were more distorted and disfigured, and had black mold growing all of them.

Basic infection pretty much. The Bugsnax are still parasites though, so the get closer to you instead of running away now, they want to be eaten from the start and they make you want to eat them with the mold. I did a lot a research on black mold and found out that black mold is actually a reason for memory loss, so hence why once they get close enough for a grumpus to smell them, it makes it so the grump wants to eat them more. Some are immune to it, but there are other, different types of infections on the island now (that I haven't introduced yet that). Which in the end, the Bugsnax use their victims body as a vessel once killed from the inside out (eating their organs and stuff).

No one had any clue about the infection, so when the group went to split up to find Wambus, all of them were unaware of it. Besides Wambus of course. He'd quickly learned about it, and much more on the island.

The best part? There is no way off the island. Not for now, at least.

In the end, Deadsnax is about trying to survive, and also trying to find out the truth!! :3
