I'm giving you some angst because I was thinking about it and made myself sad and needed to share with someone :') and because we all love Usopp and need to hurt him a little bit lmao

(Established Polycule between Zoro x Sanji x Luffy x Usopp) a situation where they face a devil fruit user who can mess up with their minds, and (maybe they separate them?) one of the things he attacks Usopp with is telling him that his boyfriends don't love him as much as they love each other, or they're not as devoted to him as they are to Luffy. And maybe Usopp brushes it off (with a casual: "is that all you got? I tell myself worse things for breakfast every morning!"), but later after defeating the enemy and when they're partying Usopp cant stop thinking about it and wondering if maybe its true but trying really hard not to show it (maybe with sucess, he is a good liar. Or maybe not so successfully, his boyfriends know him too well)

What happens next? I don't know, I made myself sad and didn't know how to fix it lmao. Maybe a deep conversation to show Usopp they do love him as much, and to not listen to random enemies that try to wage psychological warfare on you?

ZoLuSanUso my beloved!! How dare you do this to me, I love it.

They split into pairs to find the Devil Fruit user: Luffy & Sanji and Zoro & Usopp. The user's power clearly has a wide range--it's affecting them no matter where they go on the island. If it's a psychological power picking on insecurities, Sanji struggles slightly. He has plenty of regrets and deep-rooted issues; scars that may never fully heal. But having Luffy (who is almost completely unaffected) with him and singing his praises, he snaps out of it pretty quickly. Luffy showers him with cuddles n kisses and they go off to go find the asshole who's doing this to them.

Meanwhile, Zoro and Usopp aren't together anymore because surprise, surprise! Zoro got himself lost. He's pissed because 1.) he lost Usopp, which means he can't protect him and 2.) he can already hear the damn cook screeching in his ear for not watching over their precious sniper.

He ends up finding Usopp, who has used his Observation Haki to find the Devil Fruit user. The marksman has him cornered and tells the guy that his attempts at attacking them are pathetic! His crew aren't so weak to be affected by his measly powers. He ends up telling a ridiculous story about having so much negativity stored within him that his insecurities cannot be tampered with by outside forces. It is easily Zoro's least favourite story the sniper has told, so he makes his way over and knocks the guy out, releasing them all of the echoing voices in their heads.

Once the man is slumped on the ground, it's like a weight has been released from Usopp's shoulders. Zoro is surprised by the force with which Usopp launches himself at him, wrapping him in a hug and searching for comfort. With the confident way he'd spoken just moments ago, Zoro thought Usopp might've escaped this encounter unscathed. But with the way he's clinging to him now, it's obvious that whatever he was hearing has shaken him up. Not for the first time, Zoro is genuinely scared by how good Usopp is at hiding his true feelings. Zoro has gotten better at sussing out Usopp's real moods, but it's worrying that the sniper could be hiding at any moment.

By the time Luffy and Sanji find them (which is not much time at all), Usopp has pulled himself together and is acting like nothing's wrong. He's blabbering away as he ties up the Devil Fruit user and presents him to his captain to be dealt with. LuSan can instantly tell that something is off, but they trust Usopp to come to them if and when he needs to.

The time comes later on when the Straw Hats are back on the Sunny, partying as they sail toward the next adventure.

Toward the end of the night, Usopp is leaning against the railing, gazing out into the dark sea, a frown on his face as he's lost in his thoughts.

Sanji's the first to approach--coming with a mug of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, marshmallows, and cinnamon. Usopp's favourite. Zoro's next, standing on his other side so that their arms are pressed together. Luffy's last, jumping onto Usopp's back and wrapping his limbs around him. They stand in silence, waiting.

"I don't know about you guys, but that guy's power was super effective," Usopp says eventually. "My head got super loud and there were voices telling me that everything I'm scared of is true. But the loudest voice kept telling me that you guys don't love me. Or that you don't love me as much as you love each other. Because I'm not strong or useful enough. Or for one of the million other reasons why you're too good for me."

"You defeated him, though," Zoro reminds him. "You're plenty strong. And useful."

"And none of what he said was true," Sanji adds. "None of us are 'too good for you', Usopp. We love you as you are."

"And that's all there is to it," Luffy concludes. "We all love you! The way I love you is different from how I love Zoro or Sanji. Not less or more. Just different. And it's the same for them," he says definitively, the other two nodding. "So don't listen to that guy. He was mean and stupid! He doesn't know about you or us, but we do, so only listen to what we say, okay?"

Usopp nods, but that's not enough for his captain or their other partners. They squeeze and pinch and tickle him until he laughs, promising aloud that he will believe his boyfriends when they say they love him. They shower him with cuddles and kisses and words of reassurance that he responds to in kind, telling them all how much they mean to him.

By the time the sun begins its ascent, the four of them have forgotten all about their doubts and fears. They're ready to share another day of love and laughter by each other's side.

damn polycule is my favorite so heres some headcanons as a gavin and lasko kinnie -3-

*when lasko is dying of heat during summer, damien stocks up the freezer with ice packs, ice cream fucking everything. he doesnt understand laskos dislike towards the heat but will do fucking anything to make him feel more comfortable

*huxley made a little tower for lasko to roll his dnd dice

*when they got an apartment/house whatever together, they have a couple extra bedrooms. theres one main bedroom for them all to cuddle up on, but they understand the importance of needing alone time and they dont take it personal

so i let the hyperfixation win.

over the past several hours i rewatched Sword Art Online and SAO 2.

(this time dubbed, last time i watched it subbed)

here are my thoughts:

-anyone who said the dub was bad is just wrong. Kirito's VA really shines in the more comedic or sweet moments (like when first meeting Yui), he reminds me of like a Peter Parker. and oh my lord, the breakdown by Suguha's VA was just a masterpiece. Still have chills from watching it.

-i have such a big appreciation for every character. This time it really shined through how good of characters Kirito, Asuna, and Suguha actually are.

Kirito's internal conflict throughout SAO2 is so good, grappling with their actions they needed to take in SAO to survive. and throughout all of it you can tell how much they truly loves their friends and family, and how kind hearted they really are. Asuna definitely fits into that role as well, being so ready to take care of Yui and so desperately wanting her to be safe and loved and cared for.

And oh my gosh Suguha. I remember people absolutely hated her arc because it is problematic, but the fact is, it's played entirely serious, her feelings arent taken as a joke. She has a genuine and real internal struggle for feeling things she feels she shouldnt, and how she feels those feelings arent reciprocated or cant be reciprocated, and having her heart broken twice by someone who she loves and someone who also does still genuinely love her. Its absolutely heartbreaking to watch.

Man, Sinon is still fantastic. She's still my absolute favorite, and I think she is one of the best characters in the show, and pretty much steals the show from her introduction. Her arc ties in so seamlessly with Kirito's and how they help eachother heal and grow is fantastic. Only complaint is we never got a scene of the rest of the Gals being jealous about the grenade hug she gave Kirito. After Kirito and Sinon nearly died, wouldve been some nice relief so you didnt feel like you yourself were dying.

-Speaking of, while there was definitely a ton of fanservice, the pseudo-harem aspect with the jokes were kinda cute, between characters seeing flirting happen around them, getting embarassed over it, its fun. Especially when people got jealous of Sinon flirting with Kirito over Excalibur. That part was very fun, since they did that infront of everyone else, almost like they were trying to get a rise out of them. Theyre not exactly the pinnacle of comedy, its definitely a trope, but theres something nostalgic about it that makes it kinda enjoyable.

-Speaking of the psuedo-harem, guys if all of you are constantly flirting with eachother (not just Kirito surprisingly, happens between the other girls frequently) and jealous of any affection with that, just start a polycule. You're a group of gamer girls playing MMOs together and all of you have slept in the same bed with eachother. Stop snipping at eachother and start dating eachother. Polyamory is pretty cool. Kirito and Asuna can still be the main duo and be the parents to Yui and Strea; but yall gotta work on the jealousy or just do what every other group of girl gamers does, polyamory. Lisbeth you should not be angrily drinking while watching Kirito and Asuna talk. (this is mostly a joke, im not actually saying they *have* to do a polycule, its more of a joke because of how tropey a lot of the flirting and jealousy is, and yknow, gay girls do polyamory, so dont take this part toooooo seriously.)

-Speaking of girls dating girls, the LGBT rep aint half bad. Argo canonically using both male and female pronouns is really cool! Most of the girls flirt with eachother a lot too, which is nice. Between the female avatar, the willingness to pretend to be a girl, the introversion, the desire to be an avatar in a virtual world more than irl, Kirito might be transgender. All good stuff here.

Overall, SAO is honestly way better than I remembered, even if some parts definitely show its age. You gotta piece it together a little bit with headcanons, but i do that with every show, nothing is perfect. Except Sinon. And a world where trans Kirito is canon. Those are perfect.

These I drew over the past 2-3 weeks! They're my lovely OCS, left to right, Lucille, Mara and Sabrina! They're story is a big fat beautiful shit on JK Rowl*ng! Lucille is a black lesbian successful trans woman/future magic council-woman, Mara is a japanese-american hard-headed/bold sapphic woman/future professional magical athlete, and Sabrina is a plus-size queer woman/future professional magical plants necromancer! They're in my twist on Harry Potter universe, where they all go to magical university, and the point is that Mara and Lucille are infamous school rivals, but then fall in love/fall in love with Sabrina too! A magical gay polycule if u will, I've written 2 short stories about them for my fiction class so far!

Also, since it's prom themed, I made it a kinda guestbook/sign book so gallery viewers can get some glitter pens I left out to sign the end of it! I also have a playlist I made playing in the gallery along with it so it's like what they'd play at this prom! :) hope that made sense!

The content is that the girl you see walking around in white is getting social anxiety/stressed out, to the point of dissociating, as a way of doing my theme I've kept up for university of things appearing darker than they initially look (hence the colors + I love colors), and to bring awareness to mental health!

In my wait au, all the future turtles like. Settle down and get jobs and stuff. They did their time now they wanna relax and have mundane worries.

Future guys:

Raph- becomes a middle school teacher in the undercity. Before he gets his memories back, he volunteers on weekends. And gets married and divorced. After he gets his memories back, eventually, he adopts some kids, so his weekends get busier.

Donnie- starts his own tech company, and starts making and innovating prosthetics. (Im also considering making him enter a polycule with Kendra's and Jase's parents because it would be SO funny to me but idk jury's still out on that one.)

Mikey- opens a fusion craft store/tattoo parlor. I dont totally know how this would work but he does it.

Cassandra and Leo- take over the Lou Jitsu School on Ninjutsu and start running it. Cassandra specifically works on like expansion and opening new locations while Leo is just happy to train the next generation.

April- I was going to say news reporter, but tbh? I don't think thats a dream she can go back to, after everything that happened to her. Its the dream of an April that died long before April actually died.

I think she bounces around alot of stuff for a while, and lands on studying magic and eventually opening a potion shop in the undercity.

Casey jr.- I think he sticks with the present turtles and keeps helping them be heros. I dont think he particularly knows how to slow down, but i also dont think he wants to. As he gets older, eventually he gets a job working part time with a mechanic. Their name is Car Engine and they start dating Mikey on and off again

Present guys:

Unlike the future turtles, these guys dont retire, so they are still doing heroing and as such cant really open and run their own businesses. But they do get some downtime, so this is what they do with it.

Donnie: I think he takes a bunch of online college classes and gets a degree and starts like. Doing remote work for Nasa. Why would nasa accept donnies strange and unpredictable schedule? Its simply the price they pay for his intellect

Raph: Helps out at the school with Future!Casey and Future!Leo. He also volunteers every once in a while

Mikey: becomes an influencer :(

Leo: tries to become an influencer :(

Okay but actually

Mikey: Does freelance art online, and does graffiti art. Also pursues an online degree in art

Leo: okay he actually does try to become an influencer for a bit, but after that falls through he bounces around a couple things for a while.

Starts doing college classes to become a veterinarian, drops out. Helps out at the lou jitsu school for a bit, but has to stop due to his injuries during the krang invasion. I think he ends the story still figuring himself out, which is okay. Normalize not knowing what you want! He does join an improv club though.

Also meets a particular rabbit yokai who works at run of the mill pizza and they start dating 👀 👀 👀

Cassandra: Starts doing work to help provide opportunities to former convicts and stuff. Specifically, she works with the future guys to get them jobs.

April: she becomes a news reporter. Just because it wasnt what future april wants anymore doesnt mean its not what present april wants.

-> They sit together to eat during break :) they play tcg side by side sometimes or just chat about stuff

-> Jean tries to? dodge her break by going noo its fine ill just sign some documents during break since its lighter work anyway so kaeya will just likj. start reading a book a book to her? usually a romance novel,,,, it usually ends with jean just giving up on the paperwork and listening to kaeya because you cant read documents like that can you

-> this is cannon iirc but they both just make shit up (scary stories) to scare klee into behaving so idk them doing that together such evil fucked up people!! bsdhjdb

-> jean only drinks black coffee because. jean. and kaeya does canonically drink like coffee with chocolate and stuff added in so jean is like? huh why would you do that coffee and then eula walks in with a steel chair (fizzy coffee. kaeya thinks its hilarious)

-> kaeya is dragging jean to barbara's concerts all the time. also kaeya and barbara get along super well :) like she trusts in him a lot too big brother kaeya :)

(also jean pushing kaeya and diluc to #justtalkitout is something of a pet peeve of mine like?? it just comes off as being insensitive of their situation like she would not fucking say "ohh kaeya diluc make up already you guys are soo irritating 🥺🥺" not even adelinde says that forget saying it to their faces)

-> Jean hums while working :) she stops if you point it out though so no one ever does (additionally, kaeya really likes her singing voice :) )

-> jean is aware of kaeya acting out of?? knightly beaureaucratic procedures??? but she gives him the freedom to because she trusts him to handle what cant be handled straightforwardly. don't let anyone else whos innocent get hurt though that includes you captain (how kaeya feels about being trusted so much is. a different topic. he's still determined to provide her with support wherever she and mondsdadt need it however.)

-> this is also sort of cannon I think but kaeya really cant handle compliments or genuine affection bsdhjbe so everytime jean tries to flirt (she sucks at flirting just so that we're clear) its,,,,yeah,,,,,,,, idk jean is just a very genuine person usually anway so.

-> also sort of addon to previous point!! and very very very very self indulgent. JEAN FLIRTY DRUNK. anyway kaeyas heart is very glad jean doesn't drink often or he would've had hypertension by now

-> i really love the kaeyajeanrosaeula polycule though i cant imagine kaeyaeula romantically? theyre very secret fucked up 3rd thing to me as in they're this image but all they communicate to each other is the 👍emoji

somehow this isnt everything and theres more headcannons I have for them but this is all the nonsensical rambling for today I hope this makes sense

thank you for not stopping at the first two. these guys might not be on penny dreadful levels of polycule insanity, but they are nearly there. im going to give you a novel bc well where else am i gonna do this? im gonna reference book (including later ones i havent read) stuff so if ur avoiding that for some reason uhhhh consider not doing that bc spoilers are fun

loustat: when i read the book, i did not have time for this ship. i hated both of the characters and the writing was so bad that i just did not want to hear it. however…well, we all saw what happened in real time this fall. i was always interested in some of the broad strokes of the book, and the show filled them in in a way that really clicked for me. i love how they are endgame like if they were my friends id make sure they stayed on separate continents but i LOVE to see them bother each other as a viewer. why must they keep trying even though they have irreconcilable differences? theyre soulmates thats why. it’s an interesting ship bc of the unreliable narration. i love the shows version with them having a courtship and a real relationship near the beginning. gay enough indeed!! the way lestat loves is so interesting to me so of course im interested in the love of his life. yes it’s sometimes the wrong kind of love expression but at its heart it’s sharing a coffin and anything for louis (which isnt an ideal like lestat maybe think about urself but. cant go on lestat trauma tangent!!)

armand/daniel: love this one as well but for its normalcy. and yes it’s normalcy amidst completely batshit antics, but still!! like it’s a ship of boyfriends not husbands you know? and yet i take it way too seriously. i think it really gives armand a chance at something good. yes he repeats some patterns from when he was a human in a relationship with a vampire but i think there are crucial differences. i love all the pet names too. oh i should comment on them in the show. idk tall armand and notblond daniel does remove some of the layers but of course itd be fun to see him fuck that old man and i hope they got up to some fun stuff in the past!

armand/louis: i could almost stand the parts of the book with armand. idk it just seemed so much more tolerable. you cant even say oh i was young and just liked a relationship that seemed less complicated on the surface bc of what i was shipping back then. so yeah i do like it as a ship and i think it’s hilarious that they build this wonderful life together in the later book canon and then lestats like hey louis want to live a life that youll hate with me? and louis goes immediately. thats comedy baby. but it’s nice that they both have this place (their relationship) where they can kinda chill and recoop.

armand/lestat: i love mess!! bc i like armand, i do think it’s too bad lestat rejected him. it totally makes sense for who lestat is, and maybe armand wasnt reaching for him for sustainable reasons, but i think itd be fun if they got together in a different situation, sometime in the era of the books or after. just for fun! theyre in each others lives anyway.

ive also seen daniel/louis and daniel/lestat which are both funny and both ruby approved. i love how these vampires are always falling into each others beds, so i support every configuration possible (except for characters i hate they should die :) ). theyre like the kissing family on snl to me

there ARE a couple actually. two of them are related to my other fic so ill get to them in a second, but the first one is actually something ive gotten like .. half written but not rlly happy with.

i wrote this other weird ass oneshot thinkpiece where majima as a 40 year old has a bad trip and kind of hallucinates meeting his past self in the hole. if you havent read that i can post it again if you want. i have this whole Thing about traumatised characters getting to be their for their younger selves when no one else was, because like. if no one else was there for me then i needed to be there for myself, you get me? so i wrote that, and then i COULDNT stop thinking about that concept

so logical next step: time travel. LMAO. idek i came up with this bullshit idea of like. somehow directly after the hole early 20s majima gets thrown through a time loop all the way to uuuhhh around 2010 ? between y3 and y4. and ends up washing up on morning glories beach. and cue being taken in by kiryu and getting to heal (CAN YOU SEE THATS A COMMON THING WITH ME ?) and kind of becoming a big brother to the kids and eventually kiryu has to call yknow Present Day Majima cause he cant keep this secret anymore. and eventually that leads to young and old meeting and etc etc whatever would come with that. again i have it half written and dont . really know if ill ever do anything with it but itll always be in my head

aside from that i have all the various ideas in my head for thtfy spinoffs - i have an entire yakuza 0 rewrite plotted out in a document with the first couple chapters (Poorly.) written. idk if ill ever Fully write that but theoretically that would be a sequel (spoiler: it ends in kazumajimako polycule.) im happy to post parts or all of that plot skeleton if ppl are interested in that

the other one thats most clear in my head is actually nishida centric LOL cause .. i cant say like Exact stuff cause itll be thtfy spoilers but nishida and majima wouldnt be able to meet how they do in canon but i REALLY LIKE their relationship so i needed some way for them to meet. and that fic would essentially be a majima retrospective from nishidas pov, an outsider look on his courting, engagement and eventually marriage and child with makoto, etc. i just love nishida. it would also be heavily inspired by tatsu and masas relationship from way of the househusband if thats any indicator

What I would like to see less focus on: no more pain for jyushi we have moved on from bad things happening to jyushi

Favorite pairing with: honestly i dont really ship jyushi but ive seen them shipped w ichiro and/or dice and its like Okay swag
