Psalm 119:105 (NASB). “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”
Revelation 21:23 (NASB). “And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.”
James 3:17 (NASB) “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.”
“An Enduring Light” By In Touch Ministries:
“God's Word helps us clearly see where we are—and where we need to go.”
“Look at a light pollution map on the International Dark-Sky Association’s website, and you’ll quickly see how difficult it is to find complete darkness. But in the premodern world, people spent much more time in darkness. So today’s promise—that the Word can be a lamp and a light—would have had far greater impact before the advent of electricity.
God’s future kingdom is light-filled—“its lamp is the Lamb” (Revelation 21:23). As dim as our world sometimes seems, we need God’s light both to understand where we are and to see where we’re going. That dual sense is present in today’s passage.
God’s Word is a “lamp to [our] feet.” A lamp illuminates the area around it. Likewise, the Bible is essential for seeing and interpreting our emotions, relationships, and circumstances. Our own perceptions may be incomplete or unreliable, but the lamp of God’s Word reveals everything.
We also, however, want to move forward. The Word shines a light on the path, showing us where we’re headed. With God’s help, we may move in discernment, using the “wisdom from above” (James 3:17).
Whether you face difficult circumstances or have a decision to make, let the Word serve as a lamp and a light. You can trust God to help you see more clearly and move ahead without fear.”

James 3:17 (NLT) - But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

Earthly Wisdom is One Thing, and Heavenly Wisdom Is Another
Earthly Wisdom is One Thing, and Heavenly Wisdom Is Another
Earthly Things or Heavenly things? Ever describe something as “heavenly”? When it’s so good or pleasant that it seems other-worldly? There are things that are earthly and things that are heavenly. James says wisdom is that way, and he describes heavenly wisdom like this: “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and…

"I know that Miley is going to be okay but it would be nice if Heartland actually had her have to recover and work for it (like Caleb in season 3) rather than just have her be completely fine next episode"

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” —1 Thessalonians 5:16
“In all circumstances part 1: trust in God's character” By Antique Candle Co.:
“Why is it that we most often seek the Lord during the valleys of life? We know from His Word that He wants us to seek Him in every season. During the peaks, with moments of great joy and celebration; during the valleys, in times of worry and uncertainty. Not only does He desire His children to seek Him out, but He calls us to be faithful in all circumstances.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding...” —Proverbs 3:5
Trusting in the Lord's character allows us to find hope in every situation. It's not just about trusting God to get us through the difficult moments, but fully trusting in who He is, which extends to every moment of life.
So what is God's character? Many things. God cannot be compared to anything else in all creation. He created all things. Therefore, there are some attributes of Christ we can and cannot understand. We can't understand being 'unchanging' or 'all-knowing' ourselves because, as we are finite beings, we are neither. However, His Word tells us these truths about Him so that we may trust the characteristics that are unique to God alone. We can see and acknowledge the truth of His character in the Word and in our own lives.
GOD IS UNCHANGING:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” —Hebrews 13:8
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” —James 1:17
GOD IS FAITHFUL:
“...if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.” —2 Timothy 2:13
“The Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations.” —Psalm 100:5
GOD IS ALL-KNOWING:
“He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge—the Lord—knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.” —Psalm 94:9
GOD IS SOVEREIGN:
“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” —Romans 11:36
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight.” —Ephesians 1:7-8
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” —Romans 8:28
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” —Matthew 24:14
Place your trust in a God who is unchanging, faithful, all-knowing, sovereign, and so much more. In all circumstances, His character is something that will never fail.”

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. James 3:10-12 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table and of the table of devils. 1 Corinthians 10:21 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 2 Corinthians 6:14-17
Throughout the entire Bible we hear of the warnings and consequences of trying to be on the side of the world and the side of God. How come we so often mix our words with blessings and cursings? How can we claim to be of the light if we talk like those who are in darkness? As it is said in James can a fountain send forth sweet and bitter water at the same place or a fig tree bear olive berries? We have been told and the truth will set us free and here we have it. Let us put away all cursings and become a fountain of blessings.
Prayer
Father we thank you for your truth. We know how foolish and stubborn we can be and we thank you for your patience. You have warned us many times about being a partaker of both sides and we are deeply sorry for all the times we have not listened to you. We turn from cursings to blessings and ask to help us stay on your path. Thank you Father. Praise be thy name, Amen.

1. I Feel Good (The X Files)
He was holding her close, whispering the lyrics into her ear. Squeezing her tighter, but still, lovingly he planted a kiss on her neck. Muffling the lyrics he was saying.
2. The complication of getting a prescription refill (The X Files)
She turned to look at him, realizing he didn’t care she saw him shirtless. She shrugged saying ‘‘Well, yeah, I suspected it for a while now. I just figured you would tell me when you're ready. It didn’t feel right to ask. It’s not of my business, as long as you’re happy Mulder.’’
3. Jim The Fish (DW 11xRiver)
‘Sweety, you can’t just take a fish out of a pond and keep it.’ She looked at the poor creature who was clearly struggling. She gently took it from his hands and released it back into the water. The fish gladly swam away, but then returned holding his head out of the water.
4. Take me as you found me or leave me to die (The X Files) (yes the title is super dramatic)
She knew the distance between them had been slowly growing to the size of a canyon. She hated having to push him away, but it seemed like her only option to keep herself from breaking her own heart. Like she was letting herself down slowly.
5. He Chose Me (Steggy)
So he was surprised when she said his name. First, he was surprised she was still awake, they had been lying in bed for about half an hour. And then when the words registered in his brain, he wasn’t sure he heard her right
6. Mulder's birthday gift (The X Files)
As per usual, when Emily spotted her parents from the playground, she ran to them and demanded a piggyback ride back to the car, which Mulder obliged. He helped her buckle up as Scully started the car. The drive home was pleasant, Emily recounted how she learned that a caterpillar could become a butterfly. And said they had to draw butterflies, so she had a new artwork for Mulder’s art gallery.
7. Nobody warned you about me? (DW 11xRiver)
Finally, they saw it, the big blue box. Like a beacon in the sea of all the people. The Tardis was standing exactly where they left it. River thanked god it was because she was not ready to drag The Doctor around the town to look for his box.
8. A Well-Devised Plan (The X Files)
Everything was going to perfectly until the was a knock at the door.
9. White Christmas (Steggy)
One day he hoped to work up the courage to go up to her and tell her how he feels. But just because she doesn’t mind his staring, it doesn’t mean that she feels the same way. So for now he will be content with watching from afar. Admiring her determination, her strength, her heart, her soul, everything about her.
10. Your smile fades in the summer (The X Files)
‘‘This is my sister I was telling you about, the smart one’’ Melissa started. ‘‘Dana, right? My name’s Fox Mulder, but everyone calls me, Mulder.’’ He put his hand out to her but she just stared at it.
