Chrysalide were creatures altered by Sith alchemy, a process achieved through incubation in a chrysalis. In ancient times, chrysalide were used as pets and guards by high ranking Sith. The process to create them, which requires a base creature to mutate, was lost to history until rediscovered by Darth Sidious. The Emperor created mechanical cocoons and began growing a menagerie of guards.

Arbituri by Jim Pavelec

This piece is 5” x 7”, oil on Ampersand Pastelboard.

The Chu’unthor was a Jedi praxeum ship operating during the High Republic. A massive vessel, it served as a mobile academy and training site for the Jedi Order. It operated for a few hundred years before crashing on Dathomir, where it would be sought after by treasure seekers and, eventually, Luke Skywalker.
