Leo looked at his phone for a good second and then left it on his bed, unattended. he ran to your residence hall— it didn’t matter to him that it was quite literally on the other side of campus. he needed to hear you say the words he had been waiting to hear since he was fifteen. he’d always had a slight crush on you, mostly off and on.

But during the summer, he had fallen for you even harder than he thought he could. he never thought that he could love someone as much as he loved you. anyway, he was practically dying as he ran to your dorm! his hair was disheveled, and he was panting a bit. he wasn’t sure if he was sweaty because he was nervous, or because he had just ran to get to your dorm.

He knocked on your door three times.

You jumped out of your bed. you felt like throwing up from how nervous you were. you quickly slid on your slippers, and looked in the mirror before you opened the door for him. (making the poor boy wait). you adjusted your hair, making sure it sat right.

You took a deep breath before opening the door. you almost didn’t, but a voice in your head was telling you that you’d be an idiot if you didn’t open the door. your hands gripped the doorknob, and then unlocked it. leo was practically dying because you were taking years to open the stupid door. you finally opened it, getting met by a disheveled-sweaty-flushed leo valdez.

“Hi.” he croaked out, his voice cracking slightly. he felt like he was on fire, literally. he wanted this to be over with! well, no, that’s a lie. he just wanted to be your boyfriend already.

“…Hi.” you answered, your voice was quiet. you had an awkward smile on your face. you were praying that you would just drown at this moment. you’d much rather enjoy that than this.

He cleared his throat, and finally spoke after a long minute of awkward silence. The two looked at each other “I really… really like you. I.. Uh.. You obviously know that already, but I wanna tell you in person?” he said, nodding along with his own words. his hands went to fumble with the hem of his shirt, anxiously waiting for your response.

“I really like you, too.” You replied. you didn’t feel as nervous as anymore when he started to talk. you felt your face getting hotter, and your smile getting bigger. he grinned at you like an idiot.

He thought that he was dreaming when you said you liked him. The start of something. “Really?” He asked, just wanting to hear you say it again. He couldn’t help but grin like an idiot. He thought never in a million years that you’d ever like him! You were totally out of his league. you were so awesome, so pretty, and so sweet.

You nodded again, rolling your eyes. “Yes, really.”

Why? WHY? You have like cero reasons to put Ash in the character section to make us hope, and then, kill that hipe without hesitation, like, chill bro. CHILL We haven't even started the story, you don't have to make us cry yet

Me, someone without capacity of preservation reading about Creon: red flag? YAASS QUEEN slay, red has always been a color that has suited me 👁️🫦👁️ so i guess i have someone to simp in this story thanks! (you kill take away my healthy relationships? Okey, then the worst one must choose, i even dont know Ash, and yet i miss him :( my gay ass cant with so much angst) oh taht reminds me, I guess Mc can die, so, there will be Pov of our dearest when they see our death? Like, our family/Weaver/Creon? (And idk if we have someone else who worries about Mc HAHAHAA)

Weaver: Im SO curious about this character… i really don’t know what to say about them, but their concept can be soooo good and I really want to k ow more about them

Sorry: This will be a complex character, or at least i think he will be, someone so stoic and a puppet of the Capitolio hated by his own people and yet so emotional about his child… uff, that makes me think one thing, why people choose mc to go and no their father? I mean, we are so hated? And if we are hated, is because our father or because we did things that makes the town so hateful towards Mc?

I mean, I guess choosing mc is a way to causing pain to the whole family, but if they don’t really hate Mc, or if Mc didn’t really make something to deserve all the hate, they could simply choose Soren to go, no?

yall are going to be so mad at me but i had originally planned for Ash to actually be alive and be Mcs lover back home, but then i decided that i wanted to make it sad and killed them. Oopsies🤭

The lack of faith you guys have in Mcs ability to win makes me laugh so much. They're not completely helpless guys they do have some skills. There will be other Povs throughout the story. Will they specifically be Mcs death? who knows (it's me I know)

And the people of District 8 couldn't vote Mcs Father into the games because hes over the age of 18. They're putting Mc in to hurt him and make sure he feels the pain and fear that they have all felt. Mc didn't do anything themselves to piss everyone off but they're the only one from the Vesper family who was young enough to actually participate in the games. If Mcs sister was still eligible they wouldve put her in too☝️

I don't have a schedule for this If rn I've been focused on writing chapter 2 for my other game. This one is more of a side project but I'm sure there will at least be a short demo out before the end of June. Or I could wait till July 4th and post it on reaping day😏

I know how you feel about being around since the beginning. I remember when I watched season 1 for the first time. I was at home and it was the 4th of July and it popped up on my Netflix and it’s name sounded so ridiculous but the trailer looked so amazing. I binged it all in one night. This show has had a choke hold on my heart for such a long time and I feel devastated that it’s over

omg bc it was literally a show you couldn't stop watching?? ive heard some ppl thought it was too slow but i feel it was paced just right to the point of keeping the audience entertained and anticipated.

the devastation is so real bc with this type of show you would have expected at least 3+ seasons to fully explore the heroes arc from start to finish with multiple "villains" along the way. it was only right for such a deep and layered character like ava to go though many stages of her ignorance / obligation / rebellion / acceptance etc etc towards the halo and her duty. dont even get me started on the whole ocs staff member jjfjr

each character had so much fucking potential not only as individuals but as a group dynamic. i mean u can literally put ava or camila in a room with anyone and its like the most entertaining shit ever

the chokehold is so strong the grip it has on me, to all of us is fucking insane i hope we recover from this i really do jcndjnf

in honor of my second rewatch of the summer i turned pretty i will tell u why team conrad is obviously the better choice (jk u can be team jeremiah i dont really care)

conrad always cared for belly and saw her even before she turned pretty, when she had braces and glasses. now im not saying jeremiah didnt love her but i think their love is just platonic. they are besties and i loved their friendship and tbh the first time i watched it i kinda hoped they wouldn’t kiss and the old love triangle would stay out of the show cause they were amazing as friends. honestly i wanted him more with steven even they had more chemistry in the first episode

i just think that jeremiah only wanted belly as a gf after he saw that conrad wanted her. his entire life he knew how belly felt for conrad cause it was obvious and he didnt make any move, until he noticed conrad felt the same. he lit fireworks to stop the from kissing- i feel like for him it was a bit of a competition, trying to be first for once after being second to his brother his entire life.

they both loved her in their ways but we all know belly’s first and true love is conrad. jeremiah is the safest option but she doesnt want safe, she wants the dangerous bumpy road full of fireworks and butterflies and the feeling of being so alive that it just feels right. thats how conrad makes her feel. with jeremiah she would only lie to herself and to him cause u cant fake that feeling. he deserves someone to love him right.

and since he is canonically bisexual in the show i think it would nice if they dropped the whole love triangle in the second season and just get him a boyfriend

Lana Del Rey's Unreleased Leaked Songs Ranking just because I can

Okey, I just found a very fucking long list of unreleased but leaked Lana Del Rey songs and as listening to leaked songs is my ugly pleasure hobby I'm gonna find some of them and share them with y'all cause they may be too good to be true (also I'm sharing my own opinion on here, don't eat me, alrighty?)

Also I won't be judging the vocals, I'm focusing more on music and lyrical side of things

4th of July

Almost no text beside 3 repeating lines but the vibe is here, though it's hinting at crack or amphetamine addiction which is a no no to me so i'm gonna give it a 6/10

80's Baby

Okey, so definitely it's only vocals isloated from the entire song so it sounds a bit weird and makes some lines incomprehible but it's understandable in this conditions, i really like the way she says "[...] my 80s baby~" but this song itself doesn't offer much lyrically, but it certainly has some vibe. 6,5/10

1949

Okey, oh boy. So this song is a one big reference to the Lolita book. The song is written from a perspective of title "Lolita" who is 13 years old (if i recall correctly) during her trip with her step-father. In both of the verses there are hints that she doesn't actually feel safe in this relationship and it personally terrifies me just as if i read the book. It is not written as an approval of this situation, it describes the situation from the eyes of the girl - just how the book critises doings of the main hero, step-father by showing the situation from his perspective (to him, this is all normal). Musically, the song is amazing, almost perfect even. Love it, but even though I know about the meaning behind the song, the "Daddy" parts still make me shiver in a bad way (I just dont like this trope in her songs, hot take). Overall nice 7/10

Afraid

Oh god it's something different. This song is about a woman leaving a toxic relationship and being afraid of it at the same time. She thought she could fix him, but she understands she not only couldn't do that, he also gave her nothing but fear. And she actually leaves him. There's no "I'm coming back I think I love him still" plot twist at the end, she stays with her decision up to the very end - and I love it. 9/10, amazing song, only the music is suddenly jumping weirdly? But I can let it slide

All Smiles

Won't rate this one, because there's only one version of the audio out there and it's in bad quality + the crowd cheering doesn't help in understanding the lyrics, -/10 until I find the better version

Angels Forever (Forever Angels)

Oh god I love it!!!!!! It's so so sooo good! Very Lana Del Reyesque, exactly what would you expect from her music, it's wild, it's free, it's beautiful, perfectly illustrates the california teenage/young woman dream and some of it's tragism without explicitly stating it. For some the song may sound a little bit bland but that's okey. Love it and would sold my soul for it to be on spotify, makes me wanna dance at 3 am on the disco party where everyone are almost asleep and i'm just too drunk and in a trance to leave, amazing, 10/10

Ave Maria

It's more of an interlude than actual song, but some lyrics are definetly there, but I don't really understand the meaning of it lyrically (if anyone wants to interprate this song for me I'd gladly listen) . It was supposed to be on Ultraviolence and I can here that. Actually alright, would serve it's job if it ended up on the final album but doesnt offer a lot as a stand alone song, 7/10

Bad Boy

"Throw me round like a hot potato, if he want the butter then say so" - Okey, I understand why this one wasn't released

I'm not judging the vocals, cause obviously it wasnt meant to be the final version, but the lyrics are absolutely terrible (xD), 0/10

Alright I just did so much research and here is what I am declaring for my own sanity and peace of mind I do not care what canon it conflicts with:

-Conrad is a Virgo (Jenny has said this herself) but I think his birthday is September 20th. And I think he should already be 18 during the first book/season, just because the age gaps get confusing between characters (i say this because i think the book says hes 17 but its not adding up). So Conrad turns 19 a month into his first year at college. (FWIW i still dont think the age gap is that weird CONSIDERING their long history together- if Conrad was some weirdo off the street totally different story.)

-Belly is a Cancer. Going off show canon and not book canon, her birthday is before July 4th so I’m going with June 30th. We all know she turned 16.

-Steven is older than Jeremiah but they’re in the same grade. I think Steven has a winter birthday and is a Capricorn. So he will turn 18 in the winter after season 1 around December 22.

-Jeremiah seems to be in the same grade as Steven but a little younger. I think Jeremiah has a spring birthday and is an Aries. I would put his birthday around March 25th and he will turn 18 then. Almost a year after the first book takes place.

[Hello Shy-anon I hope you will like this one shot? I just wrote an idea i had while on the bus. Also thanks to Ravi, wich look over and made it to read better ]

Steve was happy. For some time he tried to save enough money to move, find his own place, and have freedom. Maybe it was so he didn't have to see his parents anymore or the looks on both of their faces. It was lonely sometimes, but better than before, Robin and the kids would crash his place every now and then and just spend time with him or wait for him, which made his days better. The one thing that would make his home complete for him was a pet. He wanted a cat for some time but never got one because of his parents. Now he could get one, if only pets were allowed in his building.

It was a Saturday and the stress got Robin and Steve good, this past week was not the best for either one of them. The 4th of July was in 2 weeks, meaning both got reminded of what happened a year ago, so they agreed on buying weed from Eddie and staying in. Both knew the comfort of some blankets and movies in the background while being high. The joint was placed in a glass and Robin was on her back laying on the floor. Steve was too, just his head on her stomach. Looking at the TV, as he saw a cat in the movie. "Rob, you know, I always wanted a cat." His voice sounded a little off, maybe he spoke too slowly, Robin turned her gaze from the TV to him, "Really? I thought they were forbidden here?" She was confused, didn't he complain about how he couldn't have a pet last week? Or when was it? Her brain seemed to mix up the information too much so she let it rest for some time. "I mean we could always smuggle one in." Her gaze turned back to the TV. Steve looked at her, "Yeah and when the landlord comes I'll just hide it." The words came from Steve, but he nodded at them all the same, it seemed to be a good idea. "Let's smuggle a cat in here!" A grin was placed on Steve's face, as the other turned to him again "But how? Like how do we get the cat here? And you'll need a lot of stuff for a cat too" Robin's voice got charged with worries, she knew Steve would take good care of a pet, but she's also afraid he is too busy or doesn't have enough money. Steve was distracted, looking at the ceiling of his home, he had money and the basics would cost about 100 bucks “I think I will manage it, like I need basic stuff and we can take a cat from the local shelter, or so” A smile was on his face, a cat waiting for him every day. He would need to potty train them and maybe let them outside after some time but he can manage it. His mind went all over the place, he stopped listening to Robin's worried rant on the idea, maybe they turned into some theory. Steve drags his body up to stand and looks at Robin. “Come on, let's smuggle a kitty cat, partner in crime!” Robin took the hand he extended to her and dragged herself up with his help. “Yeah, plan smuggle kitty cat for Stevie.” A lazy grin was now placed at her face as she was helping find the things both needed to go out.

After some hours the high was off, now on a clear mind Steve looked around. He was at his apartment, Robin on the sofa, sleeping soundless, a blanket draped over her and something white. Worries hit Steve as he stands up, a little too fast as he got dizzy and tried to gain the stability back. The fur ball noticed this and stretched itself, it was a cat with fluffy white and orange fur looking in Steve's direction as it meowed at him.

“We smuggled a cat!” he looked around, trying to find out if they got the essentials. As he was entering the kitching Steve realised he needed to get some more stuff for his new pet. And plan how to hide a cat from his landlord from now on. “Yeah, and what's your name buddy?” he was asking the animal which just jumped at the counter, Steve shooed him off the second he got on it. “What? Whose name Steve?” Came from a sleepy Robin who woke up because of the noise and looked at the cat. “Did we just really get you a cat?” She looked at her best friend who just nodded as his anwer.

“Do you have any idea for a name Robs?” Steve didn't have one, and as both were high the name seemed to be forgotten. They called him fluffy as he was screaming in the transport box. “Maybe Hector or Mr. Mittes?” She looks at him with a shrug. “Hector sounds good though, let's call him Hector for now."

After almost a year Hector was discovered by the landlord, the cat was screaming again not wanting to be in the transportbox. The landlord was giving his okey, he wasn't allergic to cats. He did scold Steve, “Boy you could ask and I would've told you, next time please tell me, okay?” And then he was out of the room and Hector happily napping on his spot not in the hated transportbox. Steve still found it hard to believe. He told Robin later who just smiled “We should do this more often, and Hector is a sassy gentleman.“ She said with a grin to him “I mean we smuggled a cat into your apartment, high, and they found out about it only a year later!” Steve nodded at her words “Yeah and I can keep him, so now off to buy a cat tree he will never use and play with the box”

Later that day Steve was confused with the cat tree, or actually at how to assemble it. He eventually got help from Jonathan and Nancy, who just shook her head at him, while Jonathan seemed quite shocked 'cause they kept him hidden for so long. Meanwhile Hector was laying in the carton, looking like the small sassy gentleman he was.
