"You're in my house." It wasn't a question, more of a statement of general acceptance.

"Yeah, I...yes." Eve knew she was way out of her dept here, but it was also too late to turn around now, and frankly, she didn't want to. This side of Villanelle was one she hasn't seen before, and would maybe, probably, never see again.

"Why are you here, Eve?"

She would've expected a teasing tone, maybe even flirtatious, if this had been like any of their previous encounters, but Villanelle just sounds so tired.

"I'm-" Eve's breath hitches. I'm here because someone tried to kill my husband. I'm here because I was following Dasha. I'm here because I wanted to see you. "I'm here for you."

 Or, an alternate version on the ending of 3x6 where Eve follows Dasha to Villanelle's home. Includes copious amounts of crying, an even larger amount of touching, average breakfast food, and that one Florence + The Machine song.

There’s a lot of debate about this scene in general. That’s fine. We all have our own feelings, especially at the very end with the music and them both looking back. (I mean, I’ll die on the hill that none of the Villaneve scenes in 308 were earned, but it’s technically canon.)

I’m interested in discussing the dialogue here. Eve was very upset only one scene ago that Carolyn told her to drop this fight. Although it’s a bit unclear whether “cold turkey” was only about the 12 or also about Villaneve separating (good Lord at the potential double meanings in the this show that will never come down on one thing or another).

Up to this point, wasn’t everything Eve was doing in this episode in preparation to run off with Villanelle to escape? Am I making this up?

In your opinion, what is Eve asking V for here? Is she asking for Villanelle to be removed from her life? Does she want a change in their dynamic? Is “normal” the new goal? Something else?

Bonus: Does your understanding of this connect to season 4 in any way?

It kills me how this show, besides a scene here or there, really fell the fuck apart after season 2.

I think season 3 and 4 of Killing Eve paled in comparison to the first two because the writers (of the show) became overly concerned with morals— their own morals, not the characters'.

now that we've had a few years to ponder it:

i think i feel myself becoming a "stop at the end of season 3" person even though their brief moments of happiness in 4.08 are precious to me. i might give even those moments up in order to forget s4 ever happened. so i'm curious to see where other people fall on this matter!
