“I’M DONE!” he heaves as he lays flat on the ground.

you huff, “we haven’t even started a match! all we’ve done is teach you the stances and-“

you go quiet when you know he isn’t even listening, his body is literally still as a dead body.

with a defeated, glum sigh, you walk away, teasingly walking over him to who knows where.

for certain, he’ll go back to his blueprints and try to please everyone except you.

first he saves ruri, then works night and day to prove how good his intellect is. it’s tiring, being on the side line.

speaking of side lines, you missed doing everything in your power to not have the ball go there.

you missed the thrill of running around, tensing your muscles for the ball’s impact and making up strategies to win

you sigh at the fond memory.

“so,” you jolt at someone’s voice, not having realized you were sitting on a rock and staring into space.

“kohaku,” you say with a gentle smile, not really in the mood to talk to anyone.

“what’s wrong? you seem pretty defeated, did you fight with senku?”

“hm? no, no we didn’t fight,” you shake your head.

“then?”

you turn to stare at her, fondly. “i don’t know man-“

“i’m a woman!”

“-i just miss playing volleyball. the thrill of it all. scraping your knees, your elbows when you fall from saving the ball. knocking into a groupmate and just… spending hours playing with friends… being competitive… i miss that.”

“volleyball…” kohaku mumbles, “is a game? sounds like a battle.”

you laugh, “almost! a battle to win and.. ah man,”

“woman.”

“i miss it.” you say, staring up into the sky. “i ask senku for just a moment…” you frown, “he has his own thing, something he loves. i don’t mind helping him, i know this is the best for humanity but, i just wish i had volleyball as my escape again.”

kohaku frowns, “what’s stopping you?”

you give her a look, “i don’t really have anyone to play with, senku made this ball for me and just gave it to me like he’s trying to get rid of a child.”

“that’s rude.”

“i guess,” you shrug.

“i still don’t get how you to are together,” she says honestly.

you smile, “me neither.”

she sees you sigh, looking anywhere with a saddened smile. “you know,” she starts, “while everyone appreciates the new things senku is showing and providing us, there’s no harm in learning games. after all, it’s something someone invented, right? something for people to also enjoy?”

you stare at her, surprised at this. “well.. yes-“

“then teach us! there’s lot’s of people in the village that would love a good competition! i’m sure sure of us warriors would be up for it!”

“are you serious?” you asks, heart racing with excitement.

“duh.”

and you stand up, following her back to the village. you see senku once more in his little world, a world you barely fit in.

but that’s okay, you’re looking forward to something more.

“volleyball!” you hear kohaku yell, “i dare you all to learn it and play!”

“hey, don’t force them-“ you try.

“it’s a game!” she grins.

“we have responsibilities, kohaku,” one of the warriors said.

“we could take a break,” another one says, “it’s pretty quiet today. “plus, games bring on challenges, no?” he asks you.

“well, yes. absolutely.” you smile, hoping you could at least round up four people.

“i’m down for a challenge!” another pipes up.

and soon, you got your six people, you and kohaku included. it was enough for you.

they were pretty good at listening and executing the practices and the stances. before long, they were ready to play.

it was so exiting, you’re pretty sure you were smiling the whole time, but your face doesn’t hurt.

what made you feel even better was that everyone else was enjoying it! two rounds later and a crowd started to form, mostly kids and teens but there was cheering and clapping.

you were soaring. and your team won.

“alright! guys! it’s getting dark!” gen says with a clap.

“that was great!” you laughed, drenched in sweat.

“water,” kohaku gasped.

“get your water over here please,” gen yells.

“good game guys! y’all learned fast!” you said as everyone ran towards gen.

“or you’re good at teaching,” senku’s voice came from behind.

you tensed, unsure whether to be petty or forgive him for his lack of attention and affection.

“maybe,” you end up saying. you don’t pay him more mind as you try to walk over to gen.

“here,” senku says, grabbing your arm with one hand and the other shoves water in your face.

“oh,” you take it awkwardly. “thanks.”

he stares at you before furiously wiping his hand on his coat.

you spit out the water you were gulping down. “you’re still disgusted with my sweat!?”

he makes a face, “why wouldn’t i be? you’re so sweaty!”

“senku, no one told you to touch me!”

“well i wanted to!” he pauses, “plus, we’re dating.”

“yet you still hate when i’m sweaty.”

“it’s unhygienic.”

you rolls you eyes. and the two of you are enveloped in a slightly stiff silence.

“it’s been a while since i’ve seen you like that.”

“three thousand seven hundred years.” you say casually as you gulp down the rest of the water.

he stares at you, a look you can’t quite decipher. “yeah.” he scratches his neck, looking away. “i’ve always liked seeing you play.” he pauses, “i hope you had fun.”

you stare at him for a second. then you smile, “i did.”

“sorry i suck at that. i know you’re upset.”

“it’s fine, guess it’s just been so long since i’ve seen you that i really wanted to spend time with you.”

“can’t fault you for that.” he says, sparing you a glance. he almost seems ashamed.

“you hungry?” you ask.

he’s about to shake his head but he remembers he hasn’t eaten all day. instead, worked and every now and then watched you play.

as he watched you eye a food cart, he remembers how the two of you would eat at one after school, especially after your practices.

with a smile, he nods and takes your hand, which you grin at.

hi girlypop bestie! Imma be so honest I couldn’t come up with one on the top of my head so I wrote one for most of the characters. Probably gonna make a part two with the rest idk. I hope this’ll do!💝

Headcanon for most dr stone characters 🎀

Senku: he likes hanging around you the most so he picks up some of your habits (ex: if you like to dance when you work you’ll catch him swaying or dancing a bit too)

Taiju: since Yuzuriha is always making cute things for everyone he tried to make something for her

Yuzuriha: all the suits Senku and all the scientist wear for their meetings are made by her or from her brand

Kohaku: whether she’s dating a man/woman/nonbinary person she’ll insist she does the heavy lifting

Chrome: searches for the best rocks or stones for your wedding ring to be

Kinro: lied to a security guard breaking a rule so you could meet one of your favorite musicians

Ginro: ACTUALLY trains with Kohaku because he’s worried he won’t be able to protect you

Gen: refuses to use his mental tricks on you because he doesn’t want to manipulate you

Kaseki: whenever the dr stone couples have kids he makes toys for them

🤍 ADONIS OTOGARI

Adonis knew what to gift you for White Day the day you gifted him your homemade Valentine's Day chocolates. He knew you very well as the two of you had been together for a while, so he had an easy time arranging the things he wanted to do with you on that special day.

He had cooked you up a meal in his dorm room in which you found the food to be very tasty. The two of you gleefully ate together like a married couple, laughing and telling each other stories. Adonis would try to feed you himself and you'd let him.

But that wasn't the gift he wanted to give you. He handed you a small box which contained a stunning set of white earrings. He had asked his sisters what would look best on you, and they really did come in clutch!

It was a simple celebration, but he took into consideration that sometimes all you wanted to do was relax and stay inside.

"(Y/N), Happy White Day. My love grows for you every day."

🤍 KEITO HASUMI

Your relationship with Keito was a simple one, but the two of you were perfectly happy together. He was attentive and cared for your well-being, but he wasn't as romantic as the boys in the manga you read together.

But you didn't mind. His other characteristics make up for that. He was smart so he helped you with writing reports; he was disciplined so he helped you with your time management. Little things like that were lovable.

The time you gifted him Valentine's Day chocolates, the two of you had mirrored each other's shocked expressions. Keito was surprisingly bashful, but he thanked you profusely, accepting the chocolates with shaky hands.

"T-Thank you, (Y/N). I appreciate it."

He wanted to return the gesture. After all, he did love you even though he didn't show it in the ways you'd expect. On White Day, he gifted you a piece of white jewellery and a short manga he drew and wrote of the two of you. The manga consisted of a short story of how he fell in love with you and in which you could see the way he drew you so carefully and precisely.

"Happy White Day, (Y/N)," he stated shyly. "I'm all yours today, so what else would you like to do?"

🤍 NAGISA RAN

When you presented Nagisa with a box of your homemade chocolates on Valentine's Day, he was delighted, but he didn't think anything of it.

"Thank you very much, (Y/N). I love chocolate."

Therefore, you had to explain the reasoning behind why you gave him those chocolates in the first place.

It was barely noticeable, but a pink hue appeared across his cheeks when you told him you loved him. Smiling softly at you as he acknowledged your feelings, he admitted that he felt the same way about you too.

He remembered what Ibara said about White Day which was a month after Valentine's Day, so he started preparing something special for you in the weeks between that. He wanted to reciprocate your efforts, so he ended up booking a fancy restaurant for the two of you to enjoy, and then gifted you a white charm bracelet that he helped you put on.

"Happy White Day, (Y/N). I love you. I truly feel at ease whenever I'm with you."

🤍 NIKI SHIINA

Oblivious as he is, Niki thought the chocolates you gave him were a gift for working hard, but when he asked the other members of Crazy:B where their chocolates were, they looked at him in disbelief.

"Niki-han, you know (Y/N) gave those chocolates to you for Valentine's Day, right?" Kohaku had to clarify.

"S-Seriously?!"

Frankly, he didn't expect you to gift him anything for Valentine's Day, but then he realised that you liked him in that way which made things worse because he had just thanked you for the chocolates and walked away.

He decided to apologise the next day, but you brushed him off, telling him it was okay. He tried to accept your feelings as he felt the same way, but he never really had the chance to. With both of your busy schedules, he never got to fix things until White Day.

He had to beg you to meet him that day. Already prepared, Niki had made you lunch AND dessert, so when he finally got to meet you, he professed his love.

"I'm sorry, (Y/N)! I really really like you too!" he confessed. "I cooked all this for you, please accept them! Happy White Day!"

And of course, you were going to accept his gifts and feelings!

🤍 MIKA KAGEHIRA

Mika was extremely surprised to see you in front of him with a box of chocolates in your hands. He even tried dismissing you away because he truly believed you got the wrong person. When you stated that you were giving the chocolates to him, that they were addressed to him, he blushed a deep shade of red. He would've never thought you would ever like him back!

He accepted your chocolates and your feelings, and the two of you grew closer than before, establishing your relationship. Mika knew that he should repay your love back on White Day as he always dreamed of doing so. He was already preparing in between the two days, scribbling in his sketchbook on what to gift you.

On White Day, he surprised you with a handmade plushie that he had beautifully sewn himself. It was decorated with bows and craft jewels, reflecting the image of you. He had also gifted you a bag of hard candies some of which were his favourites.

"Happy White Day, (Y/N)!" he chirped happily. "Thank you for loving me back. I really hope you like everything!"

Tsukihime's cast rated by how mad Akiha is about Shiki falling in love with them from best to worst

Displeased

Sacchin: At a fundamental level Sacchin is just an ordinary girl. There's nothing objectively wrong with her. Akiha is never going to be happy about Shiki falling in love with anyone but there's very little she can object to here without looking insane. Also being a cute girl who's easily flustered, fun to bully, and has a bit of the vibe of a small scared animal makes her very much Akiha's type if she were willing to be honest with herself.

Hisui: Akiha's primary problem here is the status difference (which is fake but she'll never admit that). If the relationship progresses to the point of talking about marriage it will become an enormous issue. However in the near term this has a number of advantages for her - first, she genuinely likes and trusts Hisui, second falling in love with her instead of an outsider keeps Shiki trapped in the incestuous tidepool of the Tohno mansion where he'll also pay a lot of attention to Akiha, third she has no high ground to stand on considering her own relationship with Kohaku. She can't push too hard on this one

Angry

Arihiko: Akiha is homophobic. Full stop. She was raised in an intensely conservative environment and does not have enough self-awareness to understand that she herself is gay. She's going to ruthlessly bully Shiki about this and also every other one of the reasons Arihiko is an inappropriate partner - an unserious delinquent with dyed hair who skips school and stays out late at night. Absolutely unacceptable company for the eldest son of the Tohno family. The only thing that mollifies her is how genuinely happy he makes Shiki

Ciel: Ciel checks most of the boxes. She's serious, reliable, extremely talented, a good student, pushes Shiki to be better. She has everything Akiha would want in a partner for her useless brother except for status. However she has the enormous dealbreaking flaw of being an executor and any long term relationship with her is inevitably going to result in Shiki pursuing the same career. She and Akiha do not like each other any of the times they meet in canon but those are all under unfortunate circumstances - showing up in a combat habit with a comatose Shiki, trying to hypnotize her at school, sneaking into the mansion and getting into a fight to the death in the manga, etc. If Ciel were to properly visit the mansion and get introduced to Shiki's family as his girlfriend after her route then Akiha might be able to tolerate her a little better

Arcueid: Akiha absolutely cannot handle Arc. Their personalities are incompatible. Arc is an airhead who doesn't understand human norms and doesn't get subtlety and every word out of Akiha's mouth is a venomous barb that flies completely over her head. This relationship is the absolute worst case Akiha can handle before she starts physically trying to separate Shiki from his new lover

Ready to commit homicide

Noel: Noel has no redeeming qualities whatsoever (and is also my favorite near-side remake character). She's flighty, unreliable, selfish, petty, unprofessional, a coward, works for the church, and most importantly is an adult woman leveraging her position of power as a teacher to pursue an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student. Akiha is going to do everything possible to get rid of her from threatening her to destroying her career to sending her to jail to if worst comes to worst outright murdering her. She will never accept this relationship

Kohaku: This relationship drives Akiha completely insane in canon. The spectre of the abuse Kohaku has suffered, Akiha's intense guilt about it, and her own possessive pseudo-romantic feelings for her make her never want anyone else to lay their hands on Kohaku and also simultaneously her possessive pseudo-romantic feelings for Shiki make her never want him to fall in love with anyone else. The two people she loves most leaving her to be with each other double-cucks her and pushes her so far she tries to murder both of them. The only way she could ever be okay with the two of them kissing is if they're doing it in front of her for her entertainment

SHIKI: I do not think the city of Souya would survive Akiha's reaction to this

How fucked up is Kohakiha?

This is best experienced finding out for yourself reading Tsukihime, but also because Far Side routes Tsukihime is a topic I'm into, here's a breakdown of all the layers of fucked below the cut

Content Warning: drug abuse, domestic violence, gore (though I'm not putting any pictures of anything), sexual assault, slavery, suicide

Layer 1 — Tohno Akiha and Kohaku are introduced to the reader as a rich heiress and her personal maid. Akiha is a strict, overbearing, controlling, and conservative girl, while Kohaku is a goofy, cheerful maid that prepares all her meals and attends to her every whim with a smile. Kohaku's twin and fellow maid is Hisui, a stoic and introverted girl, the opposite of Kohaku.

Layer 2 — Near the end of the Arcueid route, Akiha slaps Kohaku when she dares say something out of turn. It turns out the pair have been lying to the main character Shiki about him being Akiha's brother. Shiki was actually kidnapped from his real family.

Layer 3 — It turns out that Akiha and Kohaku haven't just been lying to Shiki about who he is, but Kohaku was drugging him as well to make him easier to control. It turns out the Tohnos massacred Shiki's original family and Shiki was meant to be a trophy / child slave.

Layer 4 — Kohaku and Hisui were also kidnapped as children, making them slaves of the Tohno family, and Akiha their master.

Layer 5 — The Tohnos are revealed to not be humans, but oni-human hybrids. All of them eventually lose their human selves and invert into oni, needing to feast on human flesh. However, as they are living in the modern day and are a high-profile family, the Tohnos try to prevent their inversion for as long as possible and kill their members that succumb, lest they are discovered and hunted down

Layer 6 — Akiha's abusive, domineering father meant to use Kohaku and Hisui as his child sex slaves, believing that as children of a demon-slaying clan (they are essentially Miko or shrine maidens) they would have mystical powers that slow down the inversion process . To protect her sister, Kohaku volunteered to take all of it instead.

Layer 7 — Unable to take it anymore after years of physical abuse and rape, Kohaku poisons Akiha's father, then begins planning to kill the entire Tohno family. Now the new head of the family, Akiha discovers what her father and what her family and all the family servants had done. She fires all the servants and exiles the other Tohno members, leaving her alone with Hisui and Kohaku.

Layer 8 — While the rest of the Tohno family were oni with thinned out blood by hybridizing with humans, Akiha was born different. In the original, Akiha's father's diary claims she is different than the rest. In the Remake, Akiha is an atavist, born a pure oni without any of her human heritage, the first of her kind in ten thousand years. This makes Akiha far more powerful, and far more demonic than any Tohno before her. This also means her own inversion is all but inevitable, while being much more dangerous.

Layer 9 — In order to slow down the rate of Akiha's demonic growth, Akiha regularly drinks Kohaku's blood (by stripping Kohaku and biting into the latter's breasts), making her follow her father's footsteps. Akiha feels immensely guilty but doesn't believe she has any other choice, while Kohaku encourages Akiha to continue with it in order to make Akiha feel guilty and easier to manipulate.

Layer 10 — Kohaku is secretly the primary instigator of most of the events in Tsukihime, only revealed at the end of the Hisui route. When Akiha's older brother inverted, Akiha's father could not bear to kill his son SHIKI ("Shiki" but written with different kanji) and instead had him locked in a dungeon to be cared for while kidnapping a boy called Shiki and replacing his son with that one instead. After Akiha's father died, Kohaku continued to keep SHIKI, intending to use him as a weapon to kill all the Tohnos.

What happens next depends on the routes

Akiha route — SHIKI returns to attack Shiki for stealing his life. He successfully forces Akiha to invert into a full oni, but when he tries to feed Shiki to Akiha, Akiha rips SHIKI's head off and devours him instead. Depending on the ending you take, Shiki either kills himself to restore Akiha's human soul, or Akiha is kept in a shed in chains, where Shiki feeds Akiha his blood.

Hisui Route — After driving SHIKI and Akiha into a direct confrontation, Kohaku is then attacked by SHIKI, but Akiha jumps in front of the attack and takes it for her instead, being gored to death in front of Kohaku. SHIKI is then torn apart by an enraged Shiki. Weeks later, Kohaku confesses everything to Shiki, stating that even though she got everything she wanted, she still finds herself bringing tea into Akiha's empty room. Realizing she loved Akiha and now with all the Tohnos dead she had nothing left to live for, Kohaku poisons herself, but not before telling Shiki she would have stopped her revenge over a seemingly trivial matter, implying that she had long since already considered sparing Akiha but couldn't do it. Depending on the ending, Kohaku either commits suicide and Shiki and Hisui flee the accursed Tohno house, or Shiki successfully saves Kohaku just in time, but the brain damage means Kohaku no longer remembers anything about her past life, and she is given a new name and a false history that Shiki and Hisui have to lie to her about.

Kohaku route ( final route) — After Akiha kills SHIKI early on, Akiha seemingly inverts into her oni form, but is able to remain sentient enough to speak. She attempts to kill Shiki, her powers evolving rapidly. When Shiki subdues her but refuses to kill her, Akiha tries to force him to kill her. It turns out that Akiha knew all this time about Kohaku wanting to kill the whole Tohno family, and Akiha believed that after what her father did, the Tohnos did indeed deserve to die and so wanted Shiki to kill her to make Kohaku happy. Kohaku intervenes and stops Akiha from killing herself, saying it's not what she wants anymore. Hearing that, Akiha is able to be subdued and eventually returns to normal. In the end Kohaku departs from the Tohno mansion forever, the heavy trauma she associates with the house being too great for her to bear. Tsukihime ends with Akiha no longer living in the belief that she deserves to be killed by Kohaku at any moment, while Kohaku is finally free and truly happy.

Yuuta: Ahaha… Yeah, it’s just a coincidence. I figured it’d be a little boring if I just grew it out.

It’d get in my face when I move around, so I just tied the sides of my hair up.

It’s a surprise to me that it was taken as a sign of respect for Mikejima-senpai. If I’m gonna grow my hair out, I gotta learn how to style it, huh…

Sannoh-

Cobra - A little. He can make eggs & toast that's it .

Yamato - no . Can't help it's a Canon event 😔.

Tetsu - will only try viral recipes and later will forget it .

Dan - is better then cobra in cooking. Can make simple dishes .

Chiharu - can make enough to survive 👍.

White rascals-

Rocky - Is legit a great cook and can open a nice restaurant. I think a homemade 3 course dinner is a must with him . 😋

Koo - not as good as rocky but still he also very good . But will only cook if he feels like cooking. ( they are so husband material)

Daruma ikka

Hyuga - can't cook and won't cook . There is no way in hell that you can make me Believe that this man cooks . He will happily order food for you but cooking. Hell nah .

Rude boys

Smoky- Will give his best but ends up cooking like shit somehow . Will be very upset and might also apologize but he will improve time by time .( my baby 😫)

Takashi - gave it a try ended up burning it and gave up on cooking for life .

P - hard to believe but is better then smoky & Takashi . Like he throws in random shit but it ended up tasting good ( eat able)

Lala - is good at cooking but she loves baking and is very good at it . ( please she is my baby 😚)

Murayama- He never tried cooking but will try his best and will improve time by time because he is hard working man . ( he is a big boy now )

Fujio - DON’T LET HIM ENTER THE KITCHEN . Believe me this is for your own good . He will probably Play around with things and will end up burning the whole kitchen. ( he is still a baby 😞)

Tsukasa - Will cook if needs to cook , like if there's nobody home and he dying from hungry.

Todoroki - has zero clue about this thing called cooking but he is a fast learner and will be able to make proper meal in a week . ( he is my FAVORITES BOY )

Housen

Sachio - He is a husband material ( its canon) . Is a very good cook but will only cook for some people. Ex - yui ( sometimes) , his mom ( always )

Yuken- can do a decent job but won't because he is just always tired. ( another canon event 😐)

Kohaku -

Can't but will try cooking and maybe later he can cook enough to survive.

Tsukumo-

Will try cooking and will probably do a decent job .better then kohaku .

Masaki-

Can bake but don't know shit about cooking.

Hiroto -

Is pretty good at cooking. He is the one mostly cooking even if masaki tries to cook he will just tell him to piss off because he doesn't wanna eat cookies for dinner.

Extravagant, bold. Two definitive terms that quite describe the heir of the Nanami conglomerate. He wasn't Ryusui without that, was he?

He does not shy away from stating what he wants, nor does he wither from encouraging anyone from doing the same. A person who knows himself. Direct, precise.

Yet, he somehow starts to doubt those very same facts the moment when it comes to you.

With how much Ryusui talked about desire more than the average person, it was easy to get used to how he worded his wants and his passionate pursuit of it. In fact, you nearly choked when he yelled out what you thought was a confession.

"I desire you!" was what he said, leaving you to awkwardly stand with your hand out to shake his. Luckily, this misunderstanding was quickly cleared, and your hesitance faded out the more time you've grown used to his presence.

And so, it seemed that same desensitization was like a curse for him.

As you were part of the power team, he always made sure to meet with you at the end of the day. Walking with you from the field back to where the others were.

"[name]! Great work today! Any plans for tonight?"

"Mhm! I have to go help out Kaseki. He asked me and Kohaku to help him out in carrying some woodworks after dinner."

Then, the time where you were both on the ship. As you both stood out on the deck, overlooking the sea.

"You know, [name], this view is even more beautiful, now that the person I desire most, is right here with me."

"Haha! I just saw a turtle!"

It was frustrating, but also gave a thrill, to which he didn't mind playing along with. The pursuit of passion, how far would he go, for this? Finally, one a little bolder, when the perfect opportunity comes as you're both one of the last ones by the dining.

Here, you both sit across from each other. The sound of the sea outside are faint, and gives the perfect ambience to the silence.

Swirling the wine in his glass, he takes a small sip. "When it comes to desire, I believe that there is nothing that should be worth stopping you from obtaining it."

You nod along, just as tipsy. The wine in your glass sways along. "So true, king."

He rests his elbow on the table, leaning on his fist. His other hand holding the wine glass, points at you. "Your ignorance may know no bounds, but so does my desire. And I'll let you know, that I've never denied myself of anything I've truly longed for."

Groggily, you nod. "You said a lot of fancy words, but whatever you say, king."

Ryusui watches you blink in a daze. Yeah. He's no quitter. Downing the rest of his glass, he decides to just go for it.

"[name], I desire your heart. I desire you." he goes quiet after this, staring intently. His expression is unreadable, and you would tell if you weren't still a little tipsy.

"I'm afraid I still need it, sorry." Your eyes get droopy, and you put your glass on the table. "Not... not a registered donor." you mumble.

Ryusui sighs, putting down his own glass. Nevermind. "I think it's best you go to bed now." Grabbing your arm, he throws it over your shoulder, hauling you up. Drowsily, you only nod. "Yessir.."

Luckily, you weren't that far gone, and could walk properly. So, it was no problem getting you to your room. But before he could leave you by the doorway, you suddenly reach out, surprising him.

"Hey, Ryu." you mutter, leaning on the door. He looks at you curiously, listening. "Yes?"

"I like you." you sway your head, a little sleepy. "It's fun every time I'm with you."

Ryusui stills for a moment. You yawn, letting go of him. "Well, g'night, Ryu." is the last thing you say before entering, closing the door behind you.

A beat, and one more, before, a tint of pink dusts his cheeks.

It wasn't much, but it was progress. He went straight to bed after that, eyes curving with a little more mirth that night.

This is just my opinion, might send more of different topics! 🧇

Lemme add my opinions for a quick seconddd, and add on a few more characters. Hear me out: there is somebody worse than Senku lol.

Dr. Stone Characters, Best to Worst: BAKING

1. Like you said, Francois. No brainer. Francois can bake bread, cake, whatever with their eyes closed and hands tied behind their back (who tf knows how but they can, better believe it)

2. Hear me out, Ukyo. I think I’d put Ukyo here. I’m a sucker for the idea of him actually being a fairly good cook and baker. I know he mentions nothing of the sort, but he gives me domestic hubbie vibes, yk?

3. Tsukasa. Probably cooked for his sister when she was conscious. And occasionally, maybe baked. So I think he would have a decent handle on it.

4. Gen. Not bad, not great. The food comes out edible. He can bake cookies and cake and it tends to keep shape and be tasty. He’s also a quick learner, so he can easily learn from the others or Francois.

5. Ruri. I just think that she could do anything she puts her mind to. Gives me the vibes. I think she’s the type to make something for the first time and it comes out great. And her baking is rather consistent. Learned quickly from everybody else.

6. Chrome. The baking is starting to get… questionable. He can figure it out, but it’ll come out burnt about half the time. Always burnt on his first attempt, then undercooked the second. Trial and error. He’s working on it.

7. Hyoga. Just… doesn’t care. Why is he baking? It doesn’t turn out BAD, but he kind of just walked away for a while and came back when he felt like it. Somehow, they usually turn out edible, but not great. Unless, somebody else takes them out the oven for him (Francois)

8. Ryusui. Burns the food. Never learned how to cook… despite having a butler so good at it. If he knows anything, it’s from them, but that’s about it. He usually leaves it up to them.

9. Senku. Everybody is convinced he put inedible rocks into the oven instead of food.

10.Kohaku. The kitchen is now in flames. The bread is burnt beyond redemption or recognition. She did something to aggressively or something? Got impatient? Idk.

A prompt I saw recently and liked a lot: start the story with a character admitting a secret and end it with a character telling a lie, or vice versa.

Personally it made me think of dcmk but I have no clue if you still write for that. Among enstars characters, kohaku comes to mind! (Sorry if this is too vague...?)

I haven’t read or watched dcmk in a good while but you know what, sure why not! Have some hakukai hurt! Just hurt. There's no comfort. kaito please gain more allies

“I won’t turn you in.”

Saguru holds his breath as he waits for Kuroba’s response. It’s taken a long time for him to reach this conclusion, and longer still for him to get the opportunity to tell him as much—the opportunity being Kuroba currently in a hospital bed. It’s not how he wanted this conversation to go, but he can’t hold it off any longer. Not after what happened at last night’s heist.

Kuroba turns to him almost mechanically, and Saguru glimpses the caution and intelligence he usually hides behind his cheer. Whether it’s deliberate, he can’t say. Kuroba lets out a dramatized sigh. “You can’t possibly think I’ve committed a crime when I’m like this.” He gestures to his body, clad in a hospital gown, currently hiding the bandaged bullet wound in his torso. “For the last time—”

“Kuroba,” Saguru says tersely. “Those snipers shot into the crowd. You are the only reason no one else got hurt.” Because he shielded them. Because he drew them away. He can take a guess as to why Kuroba had contingencies in place for snipers shooting at civilians. He noticed them months ago, himself, and he has his suspicions about how long they’ve been around.

Kuroba blinks guilelessly at him. “KID-sama’s really great! I mean, it still sucks I got caught in it, but I’m glad there were no other casualties.”

Saguru does not pinch the bridge of his nose, if only because he needs to see this conversation through. Needs Kuroba to recognize that he is one man—boy—and he doubts Aoko or her father know what he’s doing or else he would have used them as more than just convenient alibis. Saguru doesn’t know why Kuroba does what he does, or why people are trying to kill him for it, but Kuroba's safety is more important than his crimes. Kuroba needs help; Saguru has dedicated his life to protecting others in the best way he knows how.

Even when it’s his infuriating thief of a classmate.

“Kuroba,” he says again, “you are clearly being hunted by someone. I can help you if you’d let me. I’m a detective, I have connections. I won’t turn you in, you have my word.” A thief who makes a spectacle of his crimes is someone he needs to catch, but Saguru would rather him alive than in prison.

A ghost of a smirk rises on Kuroba’s face, but it doesn’t quite form. He shuffles some cards Saguru doesn’t know how he snuck in before disappearing them somewhere. “Good to know,” says Kuroba. “Make sure to tell KID that next time you see him, hm?”

As if timed (and it might have been), Aoko comes barging into the room along with a few other classmates. It turns loud as she and Kuroba snipe at each other, and Kuroba laughs like he’s not confined to a bed and refusing help willingly offered to him. Saguru wants to scream, but he forces a smile at Keiko’s greeting instead and tries not to let his frustration show on his face.

Cobra and Fujio are basically the same person

A rant post on why I personally think these two characters are basically the same person in different bodies

Random background on me as a person: I’ve always been a strong believer that the media we consume can affect/leave an impact on us and how we act, go about life, perceive the world, etc. I’ve done this my whole life, on top of being a fangirl I OVERTHINK about the plot, the characters, the ships, everything. Adding to that, when I hyper fixate on a piece of media I get so invested I pay attention to all the tiny details and micro-analyze characters and their backstories and tie it back to how they act in the story.

Last semester I got to do this in class because I enrolled in a storytelling course and basically the whole time my professor gave us stories to read or movies to watch and then we had to relate it back to real life and analyze the characters behaviors, how they interacted with others, the story themes, etc. Hopefully my professor is proud I continue to use what I learned in their class to apply to my hyper fixation on other fictional characters outside of the course😂

If you look at Cobra and Fujio’s characters on the surface, they might not seem similar. Fujio has a very golden retriever like energy to himself. He’s very extroverted, loud, friendly, bright, and overall very playful and doesn’t take anything too seriously unless the situation calls for it. In contrast, Cobra is more somber and serious. Cobra is more quiet, reserved, very serious, and had a relatively calm demeanor. Well, S.W.O.R.D. Era Cobra is super serious, whereas Mugen Era Cobra isn’t.

Personality wise, Mugen Era Cobra and Fujio are the same. They’re a little bit closer in age, and Cobra is definitely more upbeat during this time period. Maybe even a little less mature in a sense.

Obviously when we meet Cobra we see that he’s gone through a lot to become the person we know him as. Noboru got arrested and couldn’t continue school, Tatsuya was killed, Kohaku disappeared. Eventually Cobra has to take charge and be Sannoh’s leader, deal with Kuryu’s stinky asses, hits a rough patch with some Sannoh members leaving, losing Smoky, you get the point. All this loss and grief causes him to lose his playful demeanor and it’s understandable. Honestly if H&L The Worst X was as serious as any of the first three movies where characters died and Tsukasa died instead of only ending up in the hospital after Amagai dropped his ass from the gym balcony, that shit would’ve sent Fujio into his depresso espresso era also 100%

But yeah, it might not seem like Fujio and Cobra are alike at first until you dive in a little deeper. Let’s start with something small first.

1) Cobra and Fujio’s styling

Something small I noticed was that both characters are styled with a black bandanna in their right pocket. We see this when Cobra interrupts Ranmaru and Rocky’s fight in the second movie and hands Rocky the bandanna after telling him he looked a mess😂 This might also just be Cobra’s way of remembering or holding onto his memories of Mugen because I’m pretty sure all the Mugen members had bandannas on their person but once we enter S.W.O.R.D. Era no one else not even Yamato have a bandanna on them anymore so I think my point stands.

Fujio is the only character I see during The Worst era who has a bandanna tucked into the right pocket of his pants.

2) Both are leaders/have leader mentality

This one is kind of obvious also but let me explain.

Cobra goes on to establish Sannoh and is the leader as well. I admire the way Cobra leads his members. He’s very understanding even if the opinions are different. We see this showcased with Noboru during Road to High&Low when Cobra acknowledges that he knows Noboru is trying to act in the best interest of his friends he’s just going about it in the wrong way. We also see this when Dan, Tettsu, Chiharu, and a few other members walk out of the fight with Doubt. Cobra acknowledges that friends sometimes are not on the same side and that it’s okay when that happens.

Fujio right off the bat has a goal in mind to unite all of Oya, this plays into his leadership style we see throughout both Worst movies. Fujio is a very charismatic person. Right as he enters Oya, he’s able to get many followers without asserting strength or dominance over all of Oya (something Todoroki has been trying to do but can’t achieve. Fight me if you want on this but I don’t think Todoroki would be a good leader lol. That’s a post for another time). We see this when Nakagoshi and Nakaoka agree to follow Fujio in the gym. Yes, Fujio fought with YasuKiyo faction but other than that he doesn’t get into another fight with the other factions. When Yasushi is hospitalized, Fujio at this point isn’t officially Oya’s leader yet but everyone looks to him to see what happens from here. With the mentality of bringing everyone together, Fujio makes it clear that what happened to Yasushi isn’t just a YasuKiyo problem but an Oya problem which prompts the Oya boys to work together to fight with Housen.

So how does this tie the two together?

Both characters have strong leadership skills. Granted they differ slightly but the overall style and tone they take on is that no one gets left behind and that even when the crisis doesn’t directly impact them in anyway, both characters are still willing to jump in to help others.

3) Both see the importance of friendship and the strength of a true alliance

I really do think that friendship kept Cobra going in life. Sometimes it felt like that man was one more crisis away from completely swirling into self destructive behavior but his friendships pulled him out of that. An example of this is how he holds onto Kohaku’s words and teachings to help in certain situations such as the one involving Noboru and Kohaku himself when they are begging him to leave Kuryu and come back to himself.

Fujio being a school aged character we’re obviously gonna see more of his friendships because at that age that’s one of the bigger focuses in life. We see how friendship kept him from being sad and lonely as a kid because his mother was working a lot that’s why he spent time with Seiji, Madoka, and all of them. As a teenager now, his friendship with them is still strong considering this boy literally jumps into a crack farm to pull Arata out of the shit he got himself into. During The Worst X this boy literally becomes friends with the strongest person canonically in the series and then spends the second half of the movie fighting to get his best friend back from being captured.

Both characters directly state the alliance part in their movies.

While Cobra fights Jesse, he tells him something along the lines of “you guys are just a bunch of strays, are you prepared as he is?” Referring to how he knows Rocky has been prepared for this fight from the get go. On top of that, Cobra was the S.W.O.R.D. Leader who suggested the alliance in the first place knowing that they would be stronger together against Kuryu. End of Sky doesn’t focus as much on Kuryu as it does Doubt but it leads into Kuryu so I think this is fitting. Cobra knows that the Prison Gang, Mighty, and Doubt working together would never actually work because they don’t have a bond to fight together they’re just getting a job done. Hyuga even points out that he can’t trust Ranmaru because he throws his men away like they’re trash.

I think this applies to the first movie as well. Cobra knows that Kuryu, Jansung, Mighty Warriors, and Kohaku would not work because it wasn’t a true alliance it was simply made to get a job done. This leads him to suggesting the alliance in the second film.

When H&L The Worst X comes around, we know that Fujio is seen as the leader of Oya and he values his friends a lot. He doesn’t usually refer to the Oya students as troops or comrades unless the situation warrants it, he refers to everyone as friends and also mentions how everyone became friends through fighting. On the rooftop when Todoroki asks if Fujio going against what he thinks is best means that Fujio no longer needs him, but Fujio is quick to tell him that’s not what is going on at all; rather that he has a solution and is willing to set his pride aside for his friends. He then proceeds to tell the remaining Oya guys that the other schools created an alliance but “let’s show them what a real alliance looks like”. This is because Fujio’s thoughts are the same as Cobra’s. Senomon, Kamasaka, and Ebara may have created an alliance but there is no friendship or bond in it, therefore this alliance wouldn’t work or last long. We even see this when Ebara drop out of the alliance. Had Shoji, Fujin, or Raijin been friends with any of the guys from the other schools they probably wouldn’t agree to the rules Todoroki set for their fight. But it’s the fact that they are friends and care for each other that Shoji agrees to Todoroki’s terms. Shoji knows that the other schools are shady so he’s gonna take the opportunity to get the people he actually cares about out of that alliance.

Fujio’s monologue at the end of his fight with Suzaki even highlights the importance of friendship. We see in the first Worst movie that Fujio wants to become the best and be at the top. In The Worst X cross after he reads Sachio’s letter, Jamuo catches him staring at the clouds and tells him he won’t be able to do much with his head in the clouds. To which Fujio proceeds to tell him “being born a man I always felt I needed to be the greatest, but maybe being at the top doesn’t make me a great man.” When Suzaki loses the fight and says that from now on Senomon would be tools for Oya to use, Fujio is quick to shut that mentality down; telling Suzaki that it’s just one fight he lost, and that it doesn’t mean anything. His monologue goes into how it doesn’t matter who’s at the top and who isn’t because look at all the friends around you who are willing to fight for and with you (granted Suzaki and Amagai have no real friends besides each other but I digress pop off inspirational Fujio).

I have a 3 part H&L series based off the song Hate You by Jungkook in the works, it’s just taking a while to write because there are so many characters to write for.

I also have a story for Hiroto and one for Ice in the works. I genuinely didn’t think I would be writing anything for Mighty because I have a love hate relationship with those characters but I have a plot I consistently think about and think that Ice works best with it so that story will be out eventually also.

⤷ If there’s anything that HiMERU knows, it’s how to keep a secret. He’s exceptionally confident in his abilities to keep your relationship on the down-low, regardless of what scandals or rumors may appear; it helps that he’s never been one to be publically affectionate, anyway, save for a friendly (and perfectly professional) pat on the back. With him, you don’t have to worry so much about your relationship being exposed to the public. But despite this, fans absolutely live for theatrical, thought-up (or in this case, all too real) romance/ships, which ends up constantly plaguing you and your lover.

⤷ Of course, HiMERU has numerous excuses and explanations at his disposal if the paparazzi and tabloids get too bad. Surely, there’s nothing wrong with grabbing a bite to eat with a coworker, right? His fingers brushing against your cheek are only to platonically help you wipe a crumb, obviously. Even if you seem… particularly close. Atop of his carefulness, the rest of crazy:b have also agreed to help keep your relationship under wraps; not only would the exposure of your relationship cause problems for you and HiMERU, but them as well. The five of you are intelligent enough, so there’s little to be weary of.

⤷ Admittedly, he’s pretty harsh on everyone during practice, making sure that no one is falling behind on their choreography, vocals, etc — however, his leniency is far more prominent when it comes to you. His words of criticism are softer when directed towards you, and Rinne often teases him for it (aided by Niki and Kohaku every now and then). After all, there’s no hiding the fond, humorous smile that crosses his lips after you stumble over your feet or miss a note. He knows you’re capable, and that you always try your best.

⤷ Lives play a big part in how you bond not only with HiMERU, but also with the other three. Practicing together, performing together, celebrating your wins, and mourning your losses, all of it brings you closer together, as distant as the five of you were in the beginning. Once, lives seemed like tedious obstacles to you, but now, that couldn’t be any more inaccurate. Each time you perform, the five of you silently agree that there’s no one else any of you would want to share a stage with; the five of you are the perfect fit.

⤷ Although dating a member of the same unit may prove difficult at times, HiMERU is always willing to bear whatever comes his way, if it means having you as his lover. It feels as though he can breathe easier with you at his side, even at his lowest, at his most stressed and vulnerable. Truly, could he be any luckier? He certainly doesn’t think so. Even if he has to keep your relationship a secret until the end of time, he’s grateful to have you in his life, to hold and kiss and love. Perhaps to promise himself to you, he’ll give you the most discreet of kisses backstage.

Senku

Quality time. Senku is pretty low-key with how he shows his love, and prefers the same in return. He's never going to be super physically affectionate or lovey-dovey; but he's going to want to be near you, just talking about whatever, a lot more often and for longer than he would even tolerate being around pretty much anyone else.

Gen

Physical affection; Hear me out, I bet Gen is really cuddly when he has a romantic partner. Lots of surprise hugs, cheek kisses, and hand holding. He's not especially shy about doing any of these things around other people, but it's definitely more frequent in private.

Taiju

Physical affection and words of affirmation. Seriously, dating Taiju just means a never-ending stream of hugs and cuddles and him telling you how much he loves you and how great you are.

Yuzuriha

Acts of service; Yuzuriha is a helper at her core, and it will show through in your relationship. If you have a task you're doing and she isn't busy with something else, she'll help you; and obviously, she'd greatly appreciate if you'd return the favor.

Ryusui

Gifts. I bet Ryusui is the best at gift-giving. Especially before the petrification, but even in the stone world where he can't just buy you whatever you want anymore, he still finds a way to get you things he knows you'll like.

Francois

What else would it be? Acts of service, with maybe a hint of gift giving. Francois was born to serve, so if you absolutely hate a chore, they will do it for you, you don't even have to ask- just have fun never doing the dishes again. They know just what foods you like and what you don't like and are more than happy to make you your favorite dish, so long as they have the time and resources.

Chrome

Acts of service. When he really cares about someone, he'll do pretty much anything for them. That much is clear from how he spent years trying to find something that could cure Ruri. He would do the same for you, and anything else you needed.

Kinro

Words. Kinro is a man of few words, but that just makes the words he does say all the more meaningful. When he says he loves you, that he'll always be there for you, you know he always means it.

Ginro

Physical affection. Ginro would win the award for World's Clingiest Boyfriend with the way he practically hangs off of you every chance he gets. He's definitely not the least bit shy about PDA.

Kohaku

Acts of service, but not quite in the traditional way; she isn't so good at doing chores or whatever (she might still try, though) so her acts of service are more along the lines of defending you if someone's bothering you, or carrying you if you're hurt or sick and having a hard time walking.

Tsukasa

Physical touch, but he's pretty low-key about it. He doesn't do a lot of hugs or anything (that's not to say none, but they aren't his primary way of showing affection), but smaller gestures like placing a hand on your shoulder or back and quick kisses are pretty common.

Hyoga

This one was kinda hard because Hyoga isn't exactly the loving type in general, but I'm going to say quality time. Just the fact that he's not just willing, but wants to be near you should say a whole lot about how he feels about you.

Ukyo

Words of affirmation; he tells you he loves you every day. He feels it's the best way to make sure there are no doubts as to how he feels about you.

Nikki

Physical touch; look at her and tell me she isn't amazing at giving hugs. The muscular arms that can beat the crap out of a guy twice her size can also lovingly hold you like you're the most precious thing in the world (because you are, of course). She does get shy about PDA near other people, though.

Gift giving. Yo acts tough but he can be surprisingly sweet when he really loves someone. He's the kind of guy who will search through the forest all day just to find some pretty flowers to give you. He also likes to show off your relationship and brag to everyone else about how he has the hottest girlfriend/boyfriend/partner, which I think counts as words of affirmation?
