Hello, my friends! I was thinking about how there are some not so nice people on this little website and came up with some tips to help avoid them and to just have a better experience in general. I thought others might be able to benefit from what I have to say so please read on if you are interested.

1)Turn off the option for people to send Anon asks. From what I understand the reason so many out there don't think twice of slipping into someone's askbox and spewing hate is because there is little to no consequence for doing so since you are unable to discern who they are. By disabling this feature they are either less likely to be confrontational or you know the name of their blog and are able to block it.

2)If someone does act aggressively do not retaliate in any way. It is highly tempting to defend yourself, but it is highly unlikely that anything you say or do will sway them. You do not owe anyone an explanation and the best solution is just to block whoever it is and continue on with your day. Believe me, you will most definitely be happier for it.

3)Remember that the block button and tag filters exist for a reason. It is perfectly okay to make use of them in order to avoid things that make you uncomfortable. Do this and your Tumblr experience will be 1000x better.

I’m...I’m scared. I understand that the internet is not the friendliest place sometimes, but even with that knowledge I’m still frightened beyond belief. I ship Cassarian, but only when they are adults. Cassandra isn’t waiting for Varian to grow up so she can be in a relationship with him. I just like exploring how their friendship would evolve and if, only when he is a mature adult, it would turn into something more. A “what if” type of scenario. I have similar worries about Diavora, even though I believe his exact age is never stated in the movie and actors play characters with ages different than themselves frequently. In my AU Maleficent turns him into a baby and he meets Aurora when he is sixteen (he also looks more like a typical teenager). And yet, I am petrified of interacting or posting any content relating to the ships I enjoy for fear that someone will accuse me of supporting something that I can’t even bring myself to type out. Something I would, never, ever, in a million years condone.

I have only ever gotten into a debate with one person over it, but that experience has, for lack of a better term, scarred me. I thought of purging my blog of anything related to it so that I can feel safe. Then, I thought of all the other stuff I would have to get rid of in case they irked people: HansAnna, KristElsa, Entrapdak, Diavora. There are even those who hate AO3, and the thought of deleting my account on there turns my stomach. I love writing and making my own little worlds. To throw it all away would sadden me to no end. If I get rid of what gives me happiness, especially during the dark moments of my life, what is the point of making my blog “safe”? 

But every time someone takes a while to respond to me I keep worrying it might be because of what I ship, no matter how illogical that may seem. I just want to have fun without panicking at the thought of being yelled at. I can’t take it anymore. I feel so lost. For those of you still follow me knowing what I ship, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And if anyone reading this does not like what I do, please move on. I beg of you to just walk away. I can’t take any more hurt.
