[Was war da bloß die Vorgeschichte? Ah ja, da geht’s um den Satz von Snoke am Ende von The Force Awakens, dass Kylo „sein Training beenden“ soll. Kylo kommt also zurück, hat sein mysteriöses Training beendet und Hux denkt, dass Kylo ihn jetzt töten wird. Anscheinend wurde er nach der Zerstörung von Starkiller Base degradiert und rechnet täglich mit seiner Hinrichtung. Aber stattdessen...]

Es war ein trockener Kuss, seltsam keusch und in Sekunden vorüber. Ren löste sich von Hux, und ein winziges, verhaltenes Lächeln erschien auf seinem Gesicht. Dann verschleierte sich sein Blick, er beugte sich vor und bewies Hux, dass er nicht geträumt hatte – es war ein weiterer Kuss, den er auf Hux' Lippen drückte, unbeholfen, aber wärmer als zuvor, feuchter, neugieriger. Hux fühlte sich eingehüllt von einem überwältigenden Gefühl, Sehnsucht und Begehren –

"Kylo." Er legte die Hände an Rens Gesicht und schob ihn sanft von sich. "Kylo." Wie fein die Narbe jetzt aussah, fast wie gezeichnet, keine Spur mehr von der verkohlten Schneise, die das Mädchen in Rens Gesicht hinterlassen hatte. Hux konnte nicht aufhören, über seine Wangen zu streichen, es war wie ein Trick, mit dem er bewirken konnte, dass sich Rens Augen mit Tränen füllten. "Ich wusste nicht, ob du zurückkommst. Ich wusste nicht, was er mit dir vorhat."

Ohne Vorwarnung ließ Ren den Kopf an seine Schulter sinken, das Gesicht an Hux' Halsbeuge geschmiegt. Hux' Finger glitten in Rens Nacken, hielten ihn, und plötzlich ergab alles einen Sinn. Er lehnte die Wange an Rens Haar und dachte, dass er das seit langem hatte tun wollen.

Ren presste sich näher, seine Arme um Hux' schmale Hüften. Seine Umarmung war so unbeholfen wie seine Küsse, und Hux verstand, dass all das neu für Ren war. Dass diesen einsamen, grausamen, schönen, verzweifelten Jungen nie jemand geküsst hatte. Nicht so, wie Hux es tun wollte.

Kylo Ren was a son of the smuggler-turned-jaeger superstar, Han Solo. He had changed his name when he got the chance after distancing himself from his family so he didn't have to worry about being grouped up on his father's reputation. Hell, he didn't even want to be a pilot. All he wanted to do is to stay at the shatterdome to help where he can. Armitage Hux is a son of one of the best pilots ever known, Brendol Hux. Living up to his father's name is no easy feat, especially when he still have yet to find his drift compatible match. As a Jaeger was being repaired after its two previous pilots died, Hux is tasked to find his co-pilot before the repairs are complete. He meets Kylo and, in Kylo's personal opinion, it all went down from there.

...I was inspired to make an aesthetic, had star wars on my mind, a friend mentioned Kylux and here we are.

I have way too much fun making aesthetics of AUs (mainly) and thinking up summary of stories to go with them.

Soft, feels, agnst and comfort. Kylux.

Hux half laying on the bed in his robe. His back pressed to Kylo's chest. Ren's hand on his thigh other holding his wrist, feeling his pulse. Both of them half asleep half awake. The pleasant warm and overwhelming weakness.

"He will kill us" Hux whispered. His head tilted and laid on Ren's shoulder. His pulse still steady. His voice calm and collected. Just stating a fact. Kylo accepted it.

"Yes."

"Do you regret?" Kylo shook his head. No. He answered into Hux's neck. Armitage sighed closing his eyes.

"Do you?"

"Yes." Kylo kissed his wrist. "I had a promising career, in two years i could be Grand Marshall. I could command whole fleet." He whispered. " Things would be in order and now...." his voice broke. Kylo pressed cheek to Hux's wrist. His face was wet. Hux sighed again and draw him into a kiss. "You destroyed my life Kylo Ren." He said against his lips.

"You created mine. I was nothing before you. Just a void. Without purpose. Without meaning. You gave me all of this and so much more."

"And i am going to pay for it Kylo. We are both going to pay."

"You are not angry." Hux chuckled pressing their foreheads together. Kylo wiped tears from general's face.

"No. You ruined me" he whispered kissing him again "you destroyed me, broke me, ruined me." He repeated.

"I love you."

"Indeed." Kylo smiled amused at the answer. Hux slowly laid down putting his head on Ren's lap. Kylo touched his hair slowly before he tangled his fingers into them. Hux's mind slipped into warm dark place again. He was weirdly calm. So that how It ends.

"I won't give up without a fight." Kylo said. Hux snorted softly.

"Indeed." He whispered.

"Hux... "

"I love you." He squeezed his eyes shut. "So much that it hurts. So much that i hate you. So much that i will die because of it. And it's all your fault Kylo Ren." Before he could say anything else he felt light brush of fingers at his temples and everything went black. And when he woke up world was different.

Kylo kissed his wrist. His arm was covered in bacta patches his skin marked with lightnings. He smiled feeling Hux's pulse speeding up.

"What have you done, Kylo Ren?" He asked quietly. "And what the hell happened to your hand?"

"it's prosthetic... Robotic one." Hux breathed out loudly " I... For so many years i was too scared to challenge him because i though that death is the worst thing that can happened to me. But yesterday i realized that it's not. I realized that loosing you would be the worst." He whispered and touched his cheek. Hux pushed him away. "Supreme Leader is dead."

"Long live the Supreme Leader" Hux answered. Disdain dripping in his voice. Kylo chuckled shaking his head. He slowly slipped down on the floor onto his knees, wincing in pain. He raised his eyes to met Hux's.

"Long live the Supreme Leader" He echoed. Hux stayed motionless for few seconds then tangled fingers into Kylo's hair. Knight put his head into Hux's lap, leaving him speechless. Armitage slowly leaned over holding Kylo as close as he could. His hands suddenly shaking, his breath ragged, his lips trembling and his heart beating into hyper speed. Kylo moved away slowly holding his hands, he sat up next to him and held him tightly.

"How bad loving me hurts?" He whispered.

"Like... Something inside me was being ripped apart in thousand sharp pieces and at once wanted to come out." Kylo touched his cheek. They sat in silence. Until Hux asked. "Are you mine?"

"I am." Was the answer. Hux laid back watching Kylo. Ren followed him, chasing his lips, holding his wrists. "Are you? Mine?" Hux smiled into the kiss.

"I belong to no one, Kylo Ren."

Hiya! I hope you're doing well. I made the Hottest Star Wars Man Poll, so when your posts about it were brought to my attention, I felt I should probably reach out.

The polls are just for fun. I make them with no agenda, and I run them with no agenda. I've received messages talking about bots before, but I never wanted to get into the weeds about it.

However, as the discussion about bots is bigger than I realized, I guess now is as good a time as any to speak about it:

My opinion is that the spikes in Hux votes are a mere side-effect of the poll being passed around the internet and bringing in new voters in droves. As your Anon mentioned, @tomatette's edits might's also pulled in waves of people who voted for Hux out of fidelity to her.

I'm fine with the campaigning. As long as the vote is ultimately achieved by a human clicking on the vote themselves, it's alright by me. Hell, I always reblog 'propaganda' I particularly like, and I even requested some Anakin propaganda when he was in his elimination round. It's all fun and games to me.

However.

If anyone is using bots, I'm asking nicely for them to please stop. I'm going to pull the 'I'm not mad, I'm disappointed' card on anyone botting. The polls are all strictly unserious things, so I hope that nobody is taking them too seriously.

I just wanted to make a post cause I was upset about the possibility (and, as I've said, I don't have rock solid proof, just suspicions based on observations by myself and others, so like. If people don't agree with me, that's fine, it's all good - I just wanted to speak out in case it was happening like, as a kyluxer, I don't want people to think that if someone is botting, that's something we as a fandom are chill with). I honestly didn't expect it to get quite this much attention either but here we are. I also want to make it clear to both you and my followers that I don't put any blame of anything on you - you're just making fun polls and that's it, you're not responsible for what people do or what drama may arise

I do agree it's possible someone just got a bunch of people to vote within a small window of time, like anything is possible, always is. I just feel like some of the increases I saw, observations from others, and things I've heard are enough to warrant suspicion. If people do or do not agree that there's a reason to think it happened, that's their choice and I'm not going to insist that my word is law and they have to believe me. I don't have receipts, I was just expressing myself and I do appreciate amicable discussion even if my mind has not been changed as of yet

But yeah I agree, propaganda and making funny edits and posts - that's not at all what I was referring to in terms of 'cheating', but somewhere it seems that got mentioned in the discussion? (3 separate people have brought this up to me lmao, like thinking I'm accusing them but I am NOT and no one better be out there accusing them either without actual evidence beyond 'oh you posted about it' cause that's a shitty thing to do) and I also want to make it clear I am not against propaganda fun. That's all just part of it. If people are mad about that, that's their problem and they should use blacklist more liberally. And if people are saying I'm saying that, then those people are either lying or are at 'how dare you say we should piss on the poor' levels of reading comprehension lmao

It’s almost 4 am and I am Having Thoughts ™

I think a lot of us are aware of what’s called “Filing the Serial Numbers Off”. It’s when the author of a fanfic changes the names and some details in it and sells it as original fiction. The most famous example of this is 50 Shades of Grey, which started out as Twilight fic. (I’ve also been told that Twilight secretly started out as Hermione/Snape fic where Snape was a vampire. Hilarious if true.)

I’ve had a couple people suggest to me that I should do this to my Downton Abbey fic. While I’m flattered to hear they think it’s good enough to sell, I’m generally against this because A) I feel this puts all of transformative fandom at risk of being sued for copyright violation and B) knowledge of the source material is so necessary to understanding the story that I don’t think it would work as original fiction.

What I'd like to discuss is when the opposite happens, which I’m going to call “Writing Serial Numbers on Original Fiction”. It’s when an AU is so divorced from the source material that the only thing it has in common with it are character names and physical descriptions.

I want to say this probably happens most often when a ship doesn’t have much canon material to work with. The most obvious example (of the fandoms I’ve read fic in) is the Les Miserables Modern AU. Like, two dudes names Enjolras and Grantaire fall in love, and maybe Grantaire is an alcoholic artist and maybe Enjolras is into social justice. These fics became so purvasive that fics actually set in the same time and place as the book (or more often, the musical) required it’s own tag on AO3 to be found. This rightfully pissed some people off.

This was also really common for the Star Wars sequels ship of Kylo/Hux (kylux). There would be well written and moving stories about two dudes named Kylo and Hux falling in love, but they would have absolutely nothing to do with Star Wars.

And I’m not saying this is a bad thing! I have read and loved fics like these! They are in my AO3 bookmarks! Hell, looking back, I’ve written fics like these. I had an elaborate rockband AU for Pacific Rim that had very little to do with the movie. Yes, Newt was a nerdy guy with tattoos and Hermann was a stuffy Brit who used a cane, but looking back? That was pretty much it. 

We are writing original stories and then casting characters from already existing intellectual properties to play them out.
