To the Pack/Vikklan fandom

Hi! Name’s Kata, I used to be an active writer in the Pack fandom before I left over half a year ago, and I used to write Vikklan fics for the most part.

When cleaning up this blog, I couldn’t care less about deleting my fics along with anything else. Now I realise that maybe that wasn’t the best idea. The oldest fics, posted from my main blog (pristine-starlight, formerly katinkadragongirl) still to this day get notes, and now I feel very sorry for anyone who might find a fic posted from this blog, wants to read it and finds a dead link instead.

So I thought I’d put it out there - while I can’t restore my fics to here (and there might be a few drabbles and headcanons that never got posted anywhere else), I do have a Wattpad account, currently inactive and serving as an archive, where you can find all the fics I’ve written over the years if you’re interested.

If you’re looking for a specific fic/AU/setting, don’t be afraid to message me about it as I’ll probably have a much easier time finding the Wattpad link to it than you (seeing as you’d have to sift through 70+ titles in two or three books, and I still remember my old fics pretty well)

I’m terribly sorry for the inconvenience.

Longest consecutive hours you’ve played a game? Who even knows, but pretty much all day. Game with the best soundtrack? "Shadow of the Colossus" An underrated game from within the last few years? Haven't really played any recent games thanks to my consoles breaking. Most disappointing game you’ve played? I was honestly kinda disappointed in "The Last Of Us." Don't get me wrong, game was GREAT, just. I didn't like the ending. I think it had been hyped up too much. The game with the best atmosphere/scenery? "Silent Hill 3," omgggg!!! Last game you played? "World of Warcraft" Prefer PC or console? Console Have you written any fanfic or made any fanart? No fanfic, but I've made fanart. Most bizarre game you’ve ever played? "Silent Hill" blew my fucking mind the first time I played it. Because it WAS so bizarre. Scariest game you’ve played? "SCP Containment Breach." I couldn't play even five minutes of it, it was just so scary to me, lmao. Do you watch playthroughs online? I do, by Marikplier, PewDiePie, 8-bit Gaming/8-bit Ryan, Ali-A, and Lachlan. Idk, I've never really played a bad game all the way through. Hardest game you’ve ever played? "Dark Souls," obviously. Didn't even bother finishing it, because it pissed me off too much. Favorite publisher and/or developer? I love Konami and Capcom. If you had to play one game for the rest of your life, what would it be? "Silent Hill 2" omfg If you could turn one game into movie, which would it be? "Shadow of the Colossus." I WANT A MOVIE. Favorite genre of video game? Psychological horror Ever cried because of a video game? Which one(s)? I KNOW I cried playing "Silent Hill 2" and "Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs." Maybe others, but none come to mind immediately. Proudest accomplishment in gaming? Killing God with purely melee weapons in "Silent Hill 3." FUCK it was my first playthrough and it was HARD. How often do you play online? Co-op? James Sunderland, if you even count him as a protagonist. Best antagonist? PYRAMID HEAD Ever been made fun of for playing video games? Not directly. Have you tried a game, hated it, then tried again, and loved it? No. Do you play for achievements/trophies? Depends on the game. Favorite voice actor? *shrugs* Gone to a midnight release before? No. A game you will never forget (in a bad OR good way)? "Silent Hill 2" Favorite sidekick or companion? TRICO BBY. Oh, or Agro, really! Do graphics matter? Not at all. Pretty much all SH games. Would you want to work with video games when you are older? I was in college for it once upon a time. I found, however, that I like playing games, not making them. What’s a game that has inspired you? "Silent Hill 2" really taught me that no matter what, you cannot and should not run from your past. Face up to and accept it. Vikk and Lachlan! Vikk's always the hardest to design so I think he turned out pretty good :) I finally figured out how to draw his hair!!!!! It only took me like 7 years or something lmaooo Vikk and Lachlan are both elementals, Vikk's a water elemental and Lachlan's a lightning/wind elemental! Vikk can control any type of water and Lachlan can create electricity and can control wind! I decided to give Lachlan windburn since he deals with harsh winds from time to time and doesn’t properly protect his face and hands

ALSO I was feeling rlly nostalgic for old mcyts (as you know) and went and reread an old vikklan fic for funsies I used to read a lot of vikklan fics back in the day, even tho they were my least fav pack ship when I was still shipping merome romantically. I just remember that vikklan fics were always good lolol
