SKZ Reaction - When you’re not very cuddly or touchy

Chan

Okay he, like, kinda likes it. We already know he loves the members that run from his affection. How many times have we seen him capture Minho or Seungmin with the biggest grin on his face the whole time? If you don't mind a hug from time to time he’ll honestly have a lot of fun. He kinda loves that you don’t want his cuddles every second of the day but it will lead to him sneaking up on you for a surprise hug and kiss or else chasing you down the hall, giggling the whole way until he tackles you onto the bed. He will let you go quickly each time though, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. And he’ll always assess your mood before playing around too, if he sees you’re having a rough day he’ll ask how he can make it better, only ever touching you if you request physical comfort. He is a little sad that you aren’t up for bedtime cuddles most nights but more than once you’ve rolled over in your sleep and somehow ended up in his arms and it always melts his heart when it happens. Some part of you will always seek out some form of comfort from him no matter the situation.

Minho

He’s very okay with this. He doesn’t like being touchy all the time and honestly prefers small touches here and there to constantly being in contact. He will be a little sad if you don’t want to sit on his lap often, that’s maybe the one thing he would like but he respects your boundaries and he wouldn’t be happy knowing you were uncomfortable on his lap anyway. He loves the interactions you do have. He loves staring at you and giving you a soft smile and a slow blink when you catch him, a silent way to say “I love you.” He loves the light way you touch his arm to get his attention, like a feather. He likes the way you’ll absentmindedly link your pinkie with his if you’re both quietly taking in a beautiful view. He loves the gentle, soft way you touch his face to move his hair or remove the eyelash that’s fallen on his cheek. He likes your small, quiet way of loving each other.

Changbin

He doesn’t mind it too much. He likes a more casual touch with you so at first it’s not an issue but over time he has to find where the line is. He likes having an arm around you but knows you get uncomfortable if he does it for too long. It ends up getting reserved for when you’re out at a party together, a quiet reassurance that he’s right beside you. He does like holding your hand but he won’t initiate if it isn’t your thing. He will, however, giggle like a lovesick fool if you lace your fingers with his no matter the situation. He really adores it and cherishes those moments. He can be playful with it too. When he can tell you’re in a good mood he’ll suddenly try to scoop you up or if you’re very unlucky, he’ll run at you and grab you so he can use the momentum to spin you around; he is not always careful of your surroundings. He thinks it's fun to catch you off guard and make you squeal or yell, chuckling to himself every time.

Hyunjin

He’s honestly somewhat similar. He doesn’t need to be in contact with you 24/7 and he likes that you feel the same way. It takes so much pressure off that you don’t constantly expect hand-holding or cuddling. In fact, his favourite thing is being alone together with you. When you get to the point of comfortable silence he’ll start inviting you to come sit with him while he paints, or to come and hang out in the dance studio while he practices. Your presence makes him feel so calm and happy and he knows if he wants your attention it’ll be easy to get. When he’s painting he likes to reach over and touch you from time to time, just to remind you he’s right there. He’ll show you what he’s working on from time to time. He loves when you bring something to work on yourself and share your own progress with him. The fact that you value his opinion makes him feel so incredibly special. When he’s dancing he can be a bit silly, a grin drawing over his face before he flops his sweaty body on top of you simply to annoy. He does delight in that. When he does touch you it’s always so gentle, adjusting your clothes, fixing your hair or head covering, pressing a very soft kiss to your nose, forehead, or knuckles. He loves treating you with the utmost gentleness.

Jisung

It’s all fine at first. He’s nervous when you first get together, not wanting to screw it all up. And knowing that you’re not that into skinship means he can just avoid it. But as time goes on he wants to. He wants to hold your hand and hug you and kiss you and cuddle with you. For a long time he’ll just try to swallow those needs down, as if they aren’t filling him to the brim. But eventually, during a particularly hard week, he’s desperate to ask you for comfort. He still doesn’t call you over but when he misses plans with you you show up at his place and take no time at all to cradle him, wrapping him in your arms and slowly calming him down. He finally admits after that that he wants some contact sometimes. It takes negotiations and trial and error to find where the most comfortable boundaries are. He likes sitting next to you during movies, feeling your leg pressed against his, and he likes when you fall asleep on his shoulder. He likes when you doodle along his skin sometimes, absentmindedly. He likes when you play with his hair, it always makes him feel so cozy and sleepy. And he loves that when he’s struggling that he doesn’t even need to ask, you’re quick to wrap him in a warm hug and give him the comfort he craves, holding him together whenever he’s close to falling apart.

Felix

He has by far the most trouble with it. He wants contact with you all the time. He wants to put his arms around you. He wants to cuddle you. He wants to feel close to you. He does his best to respect your boundaries because the last thing he wants is for you to be uncomfortable with him. He stops himself every time he goes to touch you absentmindedly, bringing his hands back to himself. But he doesn’t consider his own desires much and over time it puts a strain on your relationship. He gets very needy for verbal affirmations of your love and constantly tries to do everything for you to prove that he cares. It’s when you get annoyed with how overbearing he can be about it and ask him to stop that he breaks down crying, admitting that he doesn’t know how to love you the right way. It devolves into both of you crying and sitting with each other, holding his hands the whole time. It takes more tears before he admits that he doesn’t feel loved, that he needs some form of contact and it makes you realize that he’s been so wrapped up in your needs and you’ve neglected his. From that point on you try to find where your comfort lies and what feels okay. You find that a quick hug and soft kiss feels alright. You find that holding hands for a little while feels alright. You find that small things like feeding each other food and letting him do small tasks for you makes him so happy. And you find that in cold weather, a little bit of cuddling for a short while is nice. You both pay attention both to your own levels of comfort and the other’s feelings much more.

Seungmin

He thought he would be fine with it but he realizes he touches you absentmindedly a lot more than he thought he would. A gentle hand on your back to let you know he’s passing behind you in the kitchen, reaching out to cup your cheek and run his thumb over it, grabbing your hand in crowded place, a back hug when he wakes up to find that despite you sleeping over, you’ve gone wandering off somewhere else in the apartment and he comes to find you. It definitely causes tension, feeling and seeing the way you tense up when his fingertips find your skin. It reminds him quickly but he seems to have a hard time not initiating in the first place. It takes you getting frustrated with him before you two agree to sit down and talk through where the boundaries actually are. In time he realizes that you certainly don’t like surprise touches and you realize that he feels a little unloved if you never touch him at all. You adopt little touches, petting or playing with his hair, pressing stray kisses to him as you pass, pulling his hand into your lap and gently playing with it while you watch dramas. He grows to tell you when he’s going to touch you, giving you a verbal indication that he’s nearby first and keeping his touches more brief when he does give them to you.

Jeongin

He ends up pretty comfortable with this. He likes to hug you or to hold your hand from time to time but it makes him shy to do it too much. And he doesn’t like doing it in public or around other people, feeling a bit embarrassed every time it happens. Instead, he loves other ways to show you he cares. He loves dressing you up. He will beg you to let him pick your outfits and gets so excited when you say yes. He’ll leave gentle touches on you when he helps you with any jewelry he’s picked out. He ends up touching you the most while posing for pics, both of you invested in getting a good picture. He does like to play with your rings if you’re wearing any but he lets you give him your hand before he does so. He also loves when you fix his outfit or hair; reaching out to straighten or adjust something. He’ll keep hugs brief and likes just to be near you more than anything. You bring him a sense of comfort whether touching him or not and relishes that.

For the same reason that people with any kind of attraction to anyone ever aren't all rapists/don't all pursue romantic/sexual feelings that could or definitely would hurt the other person. Because paraphilias are simply the morally neutral state of experiencing attraction and rape/grooming is Not That. Because people *choose* to hurt others, but not what they feel. Because a good majority of child sexual abusers aren't even pathologically/paraphilically attracted to children, they *just want to hurt them because they can.* Because they're dissatisfied with something in life, or want a punching bag, or want to feel powerful, etc etc.

It's not really different conceptually from physical abuse. Do people do it because they have icky feelings about liking blood or violence? No. They do it to feel powerful. Sexual abuse is not about sex but about power. Hope this answers your question. I've answered it a good million times on this blog but eh I'm in a generous mood.

Repeating it like a prayer through the tears falling down his lashes. Soaking into your skin as he removes each article of clothing from your trembling form. Tears dripping down your own cheeks. His own body shaking as he rests all of his weight on his hands planted besides your head. Nibbling and sucking on the tender skin of your neck as he rolls his hips against your center. Moaning and crying in pleasure and pain, refusing to believe this is the last time he'll ever taste you. Feel your love. The quieter and less responsive you are the more desperate he gets. The harsher his hips move. Stronger and more frequent his bites are. More tears spill out in frustration.

You know how badly this is hurting him and it's killing you. But you can't stay, and he knows this. So you hold him as he cries out in frustration. As his teeth dig into your skin and his hips bruise. As he gives one final push into your body before his gives out and he falls to pieces on top of you. You lie with him till the tears slow and his eyes flutter shut. The sobbing and the anger dying out as exhaustion takes over. And then you get up, leaving a piece of you with him as you walk out the door.

It's bad luck, and you know it's bad luck, but you can't stop yourself from sneaking across the hall as soon as nobody is looking. You close the door as quietly as possible behind you and turn around, fully prepared to tease your husband to be, only to find him standing before the mirror, shakily adjusting his tie.

Felix is muttering to himself as he struggles with keeping his hands steady, smoothing them down the sides of his pants, once, twice, three times, and then he catches your eye in the mirror, and he freezes, and something about it reminds you of a deer caught between bright headlights.

"Sorry," you giggle, approaching him with your heart thumping wildly in your chest because this is actually happening, and he's going to be what you wake up next to every morning, and those hands will help you cook dinner and those eyes will look at you and call you beautiful and - and you're getting carried away. "I couldn't wait."

You reach out for his hand as soon as you're close enough, twining your fingers together. You can still feel him shake despite it, and the small smile he gives you is wobbly at the corners, and his eyes are crinkled in that anxious way that he claims he doesn't do, and you tug him closer, reaching your other hand up to curl around his cheek.

"Hey," you whisper, his eyes catching yours. "You're okay. Everything's okay. Focus. Focus on me." You press your forehead against his and hear his chest stutter with a long exhale. "I'm right here."

"I'm sorry," he says as soon as he's able to, blinking fast. Leave it to him to apologize over things that don't require one. "I was just - my mom left to go find something, and I was standing here alone and I just got to thinking and then I - " Another breath, this one calmer than the last. "I just don't want to mess anything up. On our day."

"You could never ruin our day," you tell him, and then your smile grows because you can't help yourself and he knows how you are. "Even if you did, I'd still treasure it all the same."

It does work in dragging a laugh out of him, genuine and carefree. "You're going to make me worry all over again," he throws back gently, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. "You're beautiful, by the way."

"Can you still act surprised when you see me walk out? My mom already threatened me," you ask, and then his lips pull into a smile you'll never forget as he moves closer, lips brushing lightly against your own.

"My mom threated me too," he admits quietly, and then he's kissing you, and you can't help but wonder how any of this could ever be bad luck when it's the luckiest you've ever felt.

A/N: I've gotten a few requests for other signs and just know that I plan on doing one for all of the zodiac signs, but want to go chronologically. Feel free to keep requesting just wanted to let you know that I DO plan to get to all of them :)

Minho Seungmin Hyunjin Changbin Jisung Felix Chan Jeongin

Least

Minho and Seungmin both have ideal placements for compatibility with a Pisces. Minho's Scorpio Sun is perfect for a Pisces Sun. His Venus is also in Scorpio which compliments a Pisces. Minho would like the quiet and gentle nature of a Pisces. Many Pisces Suns tend to be quite cat like in their daily actions and lives making them a good match for Minho. Seungmin's Virgo Sun is also quite compatible with a Pisces, but they have more incompatible similarities than a Scorpio and Pisces match. Out of everyone, a Pisces can get Seungmin to loosen up a bit and he helps keep his imaginative Pisces grounded.

Hyunjin and Changbin have major advantages when it comes to attracting a Pisces partner. As a Pisces himself, Hyunjin innately understands a partner who shares his Sun sign. A double Pisces relationship is exceptionally romantic and they will live life very similarly. With that said, without a grounding sign in one of the major placements, they could face some strife due to over-idealization of their partner and the relationship. With the right balance, this relationship could be full of sweet glances and being one another's muse.

Changbin as a Leo has fairly good, but not perfect compatibility with a Pisces. However, the attraction is very strong between these two. With the right nurturing and communication, a Leo and Pisces can make a great couple. Chan has mid-compatibility with the average Pisces. With the right combination of placements, it can work. Chan and a Pisces have better friendship material than romantic. They can both be stubborn and try for longer than they should to make a romantic relationship work. With that said, Chan and a Pisces partner appreciate each other's art. In ideal circumstances, Chan and Pisces would have great affection for each other and each would help the other out of their comfort zone. Pisces would help Chan relax and not work so much whereas Chan would bring some order and a bit of chaos to a Pisces peaceful existence.

On the surface, Jeongin and Pisces very little compatibility. Of course, if other signs in the chart match, it may overrule the incompatible Suns. Though, all but Jeongin's Moon and Mercury are fairly incompatible with a Pisces Sun. As an Aquarius, Jeongin is energetic and opinionated when it comes to his private life. This can scare aware the more reserved Pisces. Some more adaptable Pisces may find initial excitement in an Aquarius, but it is likely to burn out quickly. Now, Jeongin and a Pisces could work if the Pisces Sun has more compatible placements with Jeongin. In the right circumstances, Jeongin could essentially become a sunshine protector for his favorite Pisces.

int. kitchen. late evening.

you found yourself standing in the kitchen, watching the glass in your hand slowly fill up, your other hand on the handle of the tap, ready to shut it off when you had acquired your desired amount of water. once the water reached a specific level, you cut the tap, letting silence wash over the room. you were home alone, so not a single sound could be heard.

the ticking of the clock seemed to be gone, as was the humming of the electricity in your appliances. the street outside had apparently been abandoned as there wasn’t as much as a cyclist rushing by. the silence left you with your thoughts, which recently hadn’t been the warmest.

you’d felt shitty all week, and you couldn’t seem to properly figure out why - not until now at least. you missed your boyfriend. the two of you hadn’t had time to yourself in weeks, and you had a theory that it took a toll on you.

the jingling of keys broke you out of thought, and you finally raised your glass to your lips to take a sip as you turned around, waiting for the love of your life to enter.

“hey bubba.” you greeted as he shuffled into the kitchen, a smile on his face as he saw you.

“hello, my love.” he replied as he placed his bag down on one of the kitchen chairs, then stepped over to you to give you a hug. you copied his actions by placing your glass down and meeting him in the middle, wrapping your arms around his neck as his snaked their way around your waist.

“how was your day?” you asked after you had properly greeted him with a kiss.

“hectic to say the least, but progress was definitely made, so i’m happy about it. how about yours? how’ve you been today?” he reciprocated your kiss and pulled away as he returned your question back to you. he made his way over to his bag and started roaming through it, presumably looking for his phone.

“actually..” you trailed off, instantly sending a signal to chan that what you were about to say wasn’t as happy-go-lucky as he had been. his attention turned to you within a millisecond, a slight frown on his face. ”oh, no don’t worry! it’s not something bad!” you quickly assured him, even though you weren’t sure if you were being a hundred percent truthful. his frown fluttered away, leaving him neutral and in anticipation of what you were to say next.

“i just,” you started, tilting your head slightly as you looked at him. “i’ve had this icky feeling lately, and i honestly think it’s because i miss you. we haven’t had time just to ourselves in a while.” you smiled almost sadly.

chan’s expression soon changed into one you didn’t expect; confusion. “what do you mean? we just had that date at the zoo?” he spoke, returning a portion of his focus back to his bag as he kept looking through it for something.

“chan, babe, that was well over six or seven weeks ago. and i know i’m being unfair, because it sounds like i’m trying to put the blame on you, when i am equally at fau-” you cut yourself off when you grew frustrated with your partner. “will you look at me when i’m talking to you?” your tone wasn’t angry or annoyed, but rather desperate as you begged him to pay attention to you.

your words seemed to work as he soon pushed his bag away, turning so he was fully facing you as you hopped up onto the counter, your palms placed securely against the edge of it.

“yeah, sorry.” he started, shaking his head gently as he too understood that it was rude of him to not be fully in the conversation when you were expressing your feelings. “i hear you, but you know just as well as me that we don’t have all that much spare time anymore.” he trailed off as he looked at you apologetically.

“i know, but i could take a day off work, you could do the same! and then we can-” you were yet again cut off, but this time it wasn’t by yourself. chan scoffed at your statement, causing you to stop dead in your tracks. “what was that about?”

he sighed before he spoke up, giving you the impression that he would rather be anywhere but having this conversation. “i can’t just take time off work like you can. not just anyone can cover for me.” he said, leaning back on the kitchen table behind him, his arms crossed loosely across his chest. you were quick to conceal the grimace you struck on instinct, but not quick enough for chan not to notice your furrowed brows and pained expression. his only reaction was to lift a brow to question you.

“yeah, i know our jobs aren’t on the same level at all, that is not what i’m trying to say, but there is no reason to be so condescending about it. just because there is someone else out there that does the same thing i do, doesn’t make it less important.” you spoke, your arms soon finding their way over your chest to mimic chan’s stance, but yours was in a more defensive manner than he found himself in.

“see, this is why i didn’t want to say anything! you always get so damn defensive, and i feel like i have to walk on eggshells around you. it’s annoying as hell.” he let out a small groan, and you swear to someone you saw him roll his eyes.

you found your lips parting slightly as your jaw went slack. you had never seen him like this before. you had seen him get upset and downright angry, but this bitchy attitude was new.

“you know what? forget i said anything.” it was your turn to scoff as you pushed yourself off the counter, your bare feet landing safely on the kitchen floor. without as much as a word, you left for your shared bedroom to be alone.

Player with a child has been on my mind,, Can you imagine the amount of stress Player is going through?? They would've been completely fine being here on their own, but to bring their child to Nevada has them scrambling to keep them safe. Always keeping their child behind them and out of sight (also to block them from seeing all the gore and blood that tends to paint the place), covering their ears when a gun fight starts, etc. Thankfully, Player doesn't have to worry about protecting their kid because they've got the boys!! I'm sure Hank will have no problem tearing apart anyone who's anywhere near their location. Sanford and Deimos can definitely help with occupying the child (after hours of begging the Player to sleep and convincing them that the kid is safe) I also think the fact Sanford's a mama's boy might help ease Player lol. Doc,,, I have no clue what Doc what do honestly. Might be busy with Player discussing important things like the kid's medical history. Also maybe Phobos doesn't act too different? Just surprised to see his Player happens to have a little god in the making. Player might take advantage of this and make him swear loyalty to the child and prioritize them (and with how serious they sounded it's not like he'll disobey). Maybe he also acts as another parental figure for the kid?? Like showing them around the tower, carrying them around, letting them explore, etc. (may get a few weird looks from the staff but that's ok) I would write for Jeb and Hof but out of brain juices and the ask is already long,, I hope you still enjoy Parent! Player tho :))

This is such a good idea, you're completely right; the Player's experience if their child was ripped from reality with them would be entirely different and their stress level would go up by 10^17. I was originally going to do just a straight answer for this, but I realized I had faar too much to say, so have some unofficial headcanon things instead ig. 😅

From the moment you were dragged into Nevada, you kept a careful watch on whoever you were around and, more importantly, whoever your child is around. And of course, because they're the ones who brought you there, the Employers were the first to receive your scrutiny.

You didn't trust them with your kid, to put it simply, and they never really gave you a substantial reason to think otherwise. The Employers weren't even that good with other people in general, let alone innocent children, and it showed from how awkward and stilted they were around you when you had yours with you (which was almost always).

It puts them in a difficult position because while they want to shower you with attention and get to really know everything about you, you keep them at arm's length all the time; leveling them with dark glares whenever they get too close or try to give you anything. Showing clear suspicion when they do anything you deem too nice, especially with regard to your kid. You don't care about your own safety that much, but you made it clear that if anything were to happen to your little one because of them, you'd send them to whatever version of hell they go to, no matter how long it took.

If you decide to stay with the Employers (as would likely be the case if you wound up in Nevada before the events of the game), then you begrudgingly allow them some leniency in what they do. But you keep an eye on them all the while, carefully monitoring how they behave around your child. When you're not, you're actually instructing them on it, as they generally tend to treat your kid like an adult when they really shouldn't (speaking to them too roughly, ordering them around, etc).

You don't really rest and let them take care of your kid themselves; you just don't trust them to do a good job with it, so you're still kinda stressed most of the time. But at least you don't have to worry about your kid seeing any blood or gore, since all of the Employers are very careful about what occurs near you or your kid (perks of being on the AAHW's good side, you suppose).

//-[The Main 4]-//

While a part of you was honestly really hesitant to allow the boys to form a bond with your kid (they are wanted murderers after all), you eventually warmed up to the idea from seeing just how hard they worked to get your approval for such a thing. They'd ask you if you needed anything for them, even going out of their way to find little nick-knacks and toys to give to you so you could present them to your kid (it wasn't from them if it was a gift to you originally, they reasoned). Sanford made sure he could make something at least close to their favorite once in a while, to cheer them up. However, once you made it known that they could start helping you out, they put in even more effort.

Your boys don't have the luxury of keeping you away from combat at the moment, which means they have to work together with you to keep your kid blissfully ignorant while they gun down your foes from further away. Luckily you've found that your strings can cover quite a bit of distance, so you stick near Doc from a ranged position most of the time. (Good thing Deimos made some smaller headphones to block the noise of the gunfire; you didn't want their ears to be impacted too much from it.)

Hank is especially good at taking out enemies before they reach your sight-line, and you reward this with some grateful praise (maybe even a quick peck on the cheek). Which, of course, only spurs Sanford and Deimos on to try and compete, to his displeasure. But it keeps you and your child safer, which is the most important part.

However, where Sanford and Deimos really shine is with actually taking care of your kid, as you said. Deimos makes little toys and robots for them, even having them "help out" (holding flashlights and handing him things) to keep them interested. Nevada doesn't really have any children's shows anymore, but he brings out some old action movies and tamer things he watched when he was a lot younger. (You also watch along with them, which leads to a lot of inside jokes amongst the three of you.)

Sanford is generally the most "parent-like" out of the four; he worries about their nutrition and if they're getting enough sleep, and speaks with you about how they're doing mentally. He even offers to take you and your kid to go visit his family (his mother and siblings) so they have more friendly faces. He knows that Nevada isn't exactly a good place to raise a child, so he wants you to know that he supports you and that you can rely on him to take care of them if need be.

Doc is a lot kinder to you and your kid than he is with everyone else, and it shows. His tone is less stern and he even leans down so as to not appear threatening, but his behavior is mostly the same. Although, he also tries to go over human health and anatomy with you to effectively "doctor" your child, which will definitely take some time. (He's not even authorized to be a medic for grunts, so he's got his work cut out for him. It's more than worth it, though.)

They also worry about you too, since they can tell this stress is beginning to take its toll on you, so they definitely try to distract your kid so you can get some sleep. Or alternatively, they try to make you both so comfortable that you doze off together, since you know your child is safe if they're asleep in your arms. (However, you do have to admit that seeing your kid all snuggled up in the arms of a grunt four times their size is pretty adorable.)

//-[The Nexus Core]-//

It takes you very little time to realize how much the Director of the Nexus Core idolizes you, and with that comes the opportunity to make your kid more of a focal point for him too. After all, if you're such a God, then of course your own child would be a little godling, right? It made sense to you, and of course, Phobos was very easily convinced. Swearing fealty to both of you made sense, and this makes him adjust the Nexus Cores rules of conduct to show this as well.

The Nexus Core personnel are instructed to be even safer, keeping things locked and clean, and ensuring that anything dangerous is kept in special rooms that require security clearance. It was only a few steps above what they did before, but knowing that the Player's child was the reason was very odd for them. However, they find it weirdly endearing to see you be so sweet to them in the few moments any agents, soldats, or scientists catch you carefully tying your kid's shoes or giving them soft encouragements when they're nervous.

Most of the Nexus' workforce are also clones and didn't have parents themselves, so it's a very new thing to see a kid actually being raised. It makes them appreciate you a lot more, and I can see them doing little things to help you out (finding candy that they can conveniently leave for you, or keeping an eye out in case your little one gets lost).

I think Phobos would desperately want your kid's approval, so much it's actually pretty funny. He does a lot to keep them entertained, and will go above and beyond to keep them happy. Getting them dessert or expensive toys and clothes is pretty standard, but he also wants to have a genuine bond with them. It's really difficult for him because he's never been around kids, but with your coaching, it works out pretty well.

(Seeing your gaze soften as your kid hugs him makes a wide grin spread across his face. He raises an arm to invite you over, and his heart beats a little faster when you lean into his side and whisper a small thank you.)

Jebus and Hofnarr are honestly kind of shocked you have a child, to begin with. (Unless you mentioned it on your stream and Jeb heard it, but Hofnarr is still taken aback.) However, once they see how tired and stressed you are about having to raise someone in Nevada of all places, they try to formulate ways to alleviate some of that burden so you can rest.

Jeb isn't the warmest person, but he's really kind and caring in regard to your kid. It honestly makes the Nexus agents do a double-take, cause it's not like Jebediah was ever rude, but he's never acted quite like this before. You'd also say that he's a good teacher for them as well, since he places a huge priority on making sure their education wasn't very stunted by your sudden appearance in Nevada. Hofnarr also helps with this, if we're talking pre-M:PN times as well.

“Well I do,” you insisted, narrowing your eyes. “I love and trust you.” He gave you a side glance, biting his bottom lip.

“But I’ve never-“ You notice his eyes beginning to swell with frustrated tears, as he ran a hand through his hair. “I just don’t know what you want me to say? I’ve never seen this ring before.”

“Lix…don’t cry, okay? It was just a stupid prank. I put thé ring there.”

“But why would you do that? Don’t you know I’d never cheat on you?” He sniffled, trying to disguise the fact there were already tears running down his cheek.

“I do, that’s why it was a prank. You’d never hurt me like this, okay? I’m sorry.” He embraced you, squeezing you until it was as heart wrenching as he felt.

“It was a really mean prank, darling.”
