Tim Sale draws clothes like he's referencing ONLY languishing 1800s heartthrobs. He really gave us the sexiest, most dapper Clark Kent fashion. The sleeves. The waist. The silhouette. It's delectable.

🌟Yandere!Superstar Who's the most sought-after man alive. He's renowned for his singing and the fastest up-and-coming actor of the century.
🌟Yandere!Superstar Who's drawn to your innocence, your purity. A precious little star trapped in an endless ebony night. You shine so brightly as you sip on your Coca-Cola at the diner. Laughing away with your girlfriends. How simple and idle your life is, you have no need to keep up appearances or overdose yourself to keep sane. You're just so sweet, wrapped in a frilly pink blanket of simplicity.
He envies you, truly he does...
🌟Yandere!Superstar who asks you out on a date in front of everyone. Who serenades you with one of his love songs, daring anyone to object. Takes you to the movies for your first date. Rambling excitedly about the new superhero flick that's just come out. He's all so pleasantly shocked when he finds out you also like comic book heroes. How he wishes he was really Superman, able to whisk you away to a hidden sanctuary in the snow. You get milkshakes after and he thinks he might be high off your laughter.
🌟Yandere!Superstar Who asks your father for your hand in marriage. Practically begs him. He'll do anything to keep you by his side. Anything to make you his. For the first time in your life, you detect fear in your father's voice as he agrees.
🌟Yandere!Superstar Who leaves you in his big mansion. Providing you with every luxury you could ever hope for. He even buys you a little furred companion to keep you company. He's off shooting a new movie and calls you every chance he gets. Your phone calls last for hours gossiping about his costars and the tyrannical new director.
🌟Yandere!Superstar who forbids you from going anywhere. Why would you ever want to leave the estate? From the swimming pool to the large exotic garden. There's literally no reason for you to ever step outside. Plus he needs you to be there when he calls, give him your full attention even when he's not physically present.
🌟Yandere!Superstar who has his whole staff looking after you. Anything you crave it's served to you, and anything you want it's in your hands within the hour. He makes sure everyone treats you with utmost respect, better than any fairytale princess. It's such a shame he doesn't realize how isolated you feel, how depressed and lonely you are. Or maybe he does. Maybe it's all a ploy to make you crave his touch, his kisses, him. He needs you broken and needy by the time he gets back.
🌟Yandere!Superstar who has morphed you into his perfect little doll. His darling pet. He dictates everything for you, from the makeup you wear to the color scheme of your outfits. Only the finest silks and jewels have the honor of gracing his baby's skin. Even your nightgowns are hand-picked by him. Don't you always want to look your best for your king?
🌟Yandere!Superstar, who starts taking you on the road with him when he's doing his tours. He can't stand having you so far away anymore. From now on, you'll always be by his side.
🌟Yandere! Superstar who kisses you between shows. Needing to feel your body under him, to build up the ecstasy to perform. Locking you away in hotel suites close enough for him to always have access to. You're his drug. The dose that keeps him going.
🌟Yandere!Superstar who's started keeping you in his trailer while he films. Making sure you know he's not cheating with any of his costars. Filling his trailer with things for you to do and making out with you every chance he gets between sets. He'll make sure you look your best for him. His babydoll. How could you ever think he'd be interested in anyone else?
🌟Yandere!Superstar who makes you straddle him or sit on his lap in every picture. He dresses you in the latest trends, while he wears his handmade suits. The world needs to know just who you belong to.
🌟Yandere! Superstar Who forces you to help him with every song he writes just so you know they're all about you. Only you. He needs you to feel his devotion in your bones. To realize every note he hits is just for you.
🌟Yandere! Superstar who will never ever let you go...

DC Comics Asks
@paladin-of-nerd-fandom65
3. First comic read?
The 1st paperback edition of the New 52 Harley Quinn comic book
4. What introduced you to the DC universe? Was it a show, comic, or movie?
I'm not so sure since I was so young, but I think the Teen Titans 2003 cartoon was what got me way more invested in the DC world as a kid since I loved watching it so much and still do
24. If you had total control, what you change?
1. Deage Jon back to being a kid, because he should've been allowed to grow up naturally and honestly deserves the character development that he should've gotten before in the past, and also because it was terrible that he just got ripped away from his original fans like that just because Bendis wanted to make him date Saturn girl (instead of finding someone else who was actually her age, since Jon was STILL JUST 10 years old at the time when he had thought of this ship for her, which is very EW!!) and didn't want a kid character getting in the way of his Superman stories because "it's not that fun to include them", which makes no sense, because he was literally so much more likeable and way more interesting as a kid than he is now, because as an adult, now he just feels like a completely different person and a boring character that many old fans just can't see as the real Jon anymore, even if they tried to, since he's more like a stranger now. He's just a plain, younger clone of Clark now with no real personality of his own in him (he doesn't even have his own style!!!)
2. Make Dickkory happen again and leave Dickbabs behind, because that relationship is just a forced one that DC only wants to happen just so that things can only stay in the Batfamily. But Dickkory is the one that actually has real love in it and a much deeper connection in it between the two. Plus those two are always crazy about eachother, way more than Barbara and Dick could ever be for one another. And I would also make baby Mar'i and Jake happen later on in the future too. Also, the trope that always happens with either Dick or Kory abandoning the other and the kids or dying everytime they finally have a family of their own needs to just stop, because they deserve to be happy together already after such a long time and I would make sure that it stays that way too
3. Make Bruce an actual good father, because #1 it is not cool at all and I do not ever enjoy seeing him treat any of his kids horribly, it just only makes me really irritated to see everytime and #2 it does not make sense for who he is actually meant to be as a character. It doesn't matter how many times writers will make it happen in canon, because that just means that they don't actually know him at all and only think he would do it just because "Oh, he's a dark, edgy man who gets angry at everything, so he must be such a horrible Father too.", which is not how he should be. There should never be anything so wrong about letting him be good Dad to his kids. There's always other ways to create a bunch of drama for Batfamily stories, but him being an abusive parent definitely shouldn't be one of them and if some DC writer thinks it is, than that just means they can't really think outside of the box
4. Stop the "Talia is an evil person who loves killing and is also a terrible Mother who tortures her kid with no mercy if they don't do what she wants" trope, because she originally doesn't actually agree with her Fathers ways at all and has always felt uncomfortable with having to be an assassin who takes lives, and another thing about her original character is that she's also a very loving person at heart and would never want to hurt the ones that she loves, so it doesn't make any sense for her to be a cruel and hateful parent who hurts and uses her Son for only whatever she wants
5. Keep the name "Kon". I heard that Conner is getting a new official name change for himself soon in his series, so he's ditching "Kon" now for something else just because "Clark was the one who gave it to him, but he didn't actually choose it himself, so it's not his", but like... HELLO????!! The writer definitely did not read any of his older books at all, because Kon was literally so happy when Clark offered it to him, because he finally felt accepted into the Superfamily that way and even cried tears of joy from it too if I remember correctly, so what the heck are they changing it for if he actually loves it and originally has no problems with it????
6. Revive Alfred, because to me, he is an iconic character that shouldn't be killed, because then nothing ever really feels the same again without him
7. Batgirl was cool for Barbara back then, especially because she was still young at that time, but I would make her Oracle again because it's just a definitely more fitting role for her nowadays
8. Keep more awesome Supersons stories happening again, because they're always a joy to read and also because I really miss them a lot
Idk if I have anymore ideas in mind for anything else😅 but this is everything for now that I would definitely change if I could
Thanks for the ask, Pal!!

my most trusted jason mutual do you have any jason reading recommendations? <3
Of COURSE I do. Anything for you. But I'm so so picky about my Jasons so this is going to be barebones LOL.
I don't know how much of him you've read already but in terms of his Red Hood days there is not a lot that I approve of. Red Hood: Lost Days is my bible for Jason characterization in general even more so than Under the Red Hood tbh. Not perfect by any means but on a scale defined solely by his post-resurrection appearances it's absolutely the golden standard in my opinion ignore the Talia Thing at the end. Green Arrow (2001) #69-72 and Outsiders (2003) #44-46 are very fun and probably the best Red Hood appearances where he pops up in someone else's comic to cause (or solve?!?!) problems. I'm trying so hard to think of anything else I can genuinely recommend especially like. After the new52 cause it's a way different version of his character LOL. It's barren out here. I have this idea in my head that I didn't hate him in Batman/Superman Annual #1 (2014) but I literally can't even remember what happens in it 😭. I think he was good (for what he is now) in the We Are Robin/Robin War event and I like that storyline because it's important for Duke but Jason doesn't feature heavily. That's all I can give with a clean conscience.
But I love his Robby-poo days. Of course Batman #408 is where he is introduced (in his post-crisis iteration) and I love it so so much. 408-429 is basically his whole Robin Era in the mainline Batman comics (the last 4 issues being A Death in the Family) but #424 The Diplomat's Son is probably my favorite after his introduction I literally think about it and the implications allllllll the time... Superman Annual #11 is also REQUIRED READING and I love when he was in the New Teen Titans (1984) from #18-31 he's sooooo cute being the baby on the team but there is so much tomfoolery going on with all the other characters that it might be difficult to read with no context. (Also not really about Jason but New Teen Titans #55 shows Dick finding out that Jason died that shit hurted fr...) He's also in Batman: The Cult (1988) which is nice cause he wasn't really around long enough to be The Robin for many major standalone Batman stories but if I recall he isn't that big of a part of it. Oh my god I'm going insane again. That's enough <3

Opinion on Ships:
🌟Superman x Lois VERSUS Superman x Wonder Woman
💰BatCat vs Wonderbat vs TaliaBat?
🐦Nightwing x Kory VS. Nightwing x Batgirl VS. Nightwing VS Donna Troy
*rolls up my sleeves* Okay, this one's gonna be long, so I had to wait until I had laptop access and enough brain for it.
🌟 Superman and Lois. The power couple of the ages. Almost literally the Mom and Dad of DC Comics. They're perfect and I love them, and I genuinely can't see either with anyone else. Lois Lane is this unstoppable force of nature despite the fact that she's this squishy fragile human. Clark is a softhearted human despite the fact that he's a space alien with nigh-godlike power. It's so easy to become jaded when you're watching the news all the time. Being in the middle of it and reporting on it? Lois' heart could harden so easily. But it doesn't, because Clark is out there, tirelessly working to make the world better, and helping her to do the same. At the same time, with all the power he has, it would be really easy for Clark to just... Go dark. Become a conqueror. For the greater good, of course. But he doesn't, because Lois keeps him human and humble, keeps him grounded. They're the light in each other's lives and they both need the other to be the best versions of themselves.
🌠 With that in mind, I just don't see the same appeal in Clark/Diana, and I like them better as friends. They have the same "essentially a god" problems, and while Clark would be eager to teach Diana about life in rural Kansas and help her get her footing in Man's World... They can't counterbalance each other in the same way. I haven't read many WW comics and don't have a solid grip on Diana's personality, but they feel too similar to really work.
...This has made me very aware that Lois/Diana would be interesting though. Possibly the three of them as a triad. Hmm...
💰 Batcat, huh? I've never really been into this one, tbh, though the flirty rooftop chases and back-and-forth banter are appealing. The starcrossed-lovers angst of it is fun, but I think Bruce/Talia did that better. A solid 7/10, they work better when it's just Selena trying to get a reaction and not any kind of Serious Relationship.
✈ I couldn't find a laurel wreath emoji so Wonderbat gets a plane in honor of the Invisible Jet. I have to say, I... Kind of don't see where this one came from? The only comics-canon love interest of Diana's I'm aware of is Steve Trevor, and Bruce is just. Such a different dude. Steve Trevor was this hotshot daring pilot who loved adventure and had this debonair attitude. Bruce is... Not that. Hell, Ollie Queen makes more sense, if we use Trevor as a baseline for Diana's type. Or, like. Hal. Oh, oh cripes, gonna end that train of thought right now.
🦇 Bruce/Talia, though. Oh my god. Talia being caught between loyalty to her father's cause and loyalty to her heart. Between making her own choices and letting herself fall in love with the man her father approved of, even when she knows she'd have chosen him outside of Ra's influence. Bruce knowing she loves him and wanting to let himself love her, but knowing he has a duty to Gotham and can't let himself choose her over the city again. Talia knowing that and forcing herself to leave Bruce so he can be what Gotham needs! The drama of it all! The romance! These two were made for a soap-opera, I swear. And Talia's love for Bruce extending past him and to her stepsons??? Because why else would she have resurrected Jason and helped him through his recovery, except out of love? UGH, I can't. I just can't. They're too good. (Also baby-me heard Talia call Bruce 'My Beloved' and almost died because that was the most romantic shit I'd ever heard at age thirteen and it still holds up today.)
🐦 Dick and Kory are just... So good. They're so soft and sweet with eachother, and absolutely deadly on the battlefield. 100% the Battle Couple Blueprint. They slow-dance in the kitchen of Titans Tower and sing one another back to sleep after nightmares and just. The utter adoration and devotion and reverence. The ferocity and depth of their love and how it contrasts with how tenderly they care... I love them so much I can't form words. I'm still brokenhearted over their divorce, even if I understand why
🕸 DickBabs is such a notp of mine, actually. They grew up alongside one another, and while childhood-friends-to-lovers is a thing, it's never been my thing. And with Babs being a few years older than Dick, I just see her putting Robin squarely in the "annoying kid brother" box as kids. They're family, they don't need to be anything else.
🦅 Dick and Donna work best as what they are -- close friends who grew up together and aren't sure if they're closer to siblings or cousins, but definitely aren't romantically involved, gross. I like them having a sort of rivalry as kids, and being affectionately annoying as adults. I love them and how they look out for each other in a platonic/familial way. I like to think that half the League still calls them The Wonderkids, even though they're closer to thirty than they are thirteen.

can i ask what it is about tom king's writing you like so much? (n i admit i'm not a tk fan which is why i'm curious but i promise i don't mean this as an assholey rhetorical question i'm actually curious i just can't find a way to word this ask that doesn't sound like that jfngkfjn)
there are a million ways to phrase this reasonably ("what's your favourite thing about [x]'s writing", "what do you enjoy the most about [x]", "what makes [x] your favourite writer" etc) but fine, i'll play along.
tom king fills a niche no other modern writer in the mainstream comic book industry does -- he's got a distinctive style, he writes for mature audiences, he endeavors to use reasonably obscure characters (omega men, mister miracle, strange adventures, the human target, the upcoming danger street, etc) thus allowing a breath of fresh air from the oversaturation of batman/superman/wonder woman content, he does not dumb down his stories for the sake of the reader nor does he spell it all out.
primarily, i recognise 'good' is a very subjective term but he is an award-winning writer several times over and surely even you have to admit there's gotta be a grain of truth in that. i also think it resonates with audiences, me included, that his stories are always born from some measure of personal experience, they're earnest in their approach to characters' humanity and tom himself does not ever employ irony or sarcasm in his appreciation of what he's writing. in fact, not even his deconstructions or meta are tongue-in-cheek in any capacity but plainly always genuine -- strange adventures, omega men and rorschach all look at storytelling as a driving force (a necessity!) and all explore the literal actual construction of comics.
this'll make me sound pretentious but it's pretty damn obvious to me that more than half of the complaints about his writing come from people genuinely not understanding it or not knowing what he's referencing (see: 'booster is booster is booster'), or -- even worse -- getting mad about the specifics of continuity applied to books very clearly stated to exist outside of canon. from what i've seen, that's quite genuinely it and i'm not interested in making this a debate.
beyond all that, i also enjoy tom's writing because he's written the only female characters in the whole damn industry that aren't completely insufferable: look at supergirl & ruthye, look at claire gotham girl, look at laura from rorschach, tora in the human target, selina in batman/catwoman. these are either characters i've never cared about at best and outright despised at worst (or they're ocs!) and yet tom has managed to make them compelling, complex and wholly human.

(supergirl: the woman of tomorrow #8)
ultimately, i've never read a tom king story i didn't like. it's as simple as that.
