Hey, I've been following you for a while because I love Kaijudo just like you. Your OC, Dr. Abyssal is amazing. I have a question. Would you ever like to do a description of your character and how he interacts with others and how he relates to them? I am very curious about this character. <3

Hi! Thank you so much I really appreciate that!!

Yeah I have so much i can talk about with him! Here's kind of a general summary below the cut of Dr Abyssal and his dynamics. I have a more in depth doc im working on now that'll go into more detail. I always love to talk about Abyssal so I'm always open to any questions!

As a bonus, here's his main looks for the two seasons!

Dr Abyssal works for the Choten as the head of research and is the inventor of the Tech Gauntlets. He specializes in creating various gauntlet designs, as well as researching veil breaching methods and mana collection.

He’s reclusive and very rarely leaves the ship, preferring to stay in his lab and work on various projects. He really loves his work and takes a lot of pride in it, he often works himself too hard, working late into the night.  While his appearance might come off as a bit intimidating at first, he’s actually a pretty nice guy. Though he will do whatever he has to to complete their goals.

He mostly specializes in Water creatures, while also using some Light types from time to time. Terrified of being around Darkness creatures and refuses to use them. While he doesn’t duel as much anymore, he’s a Specialist rank and is the second strongest duelist on the ship behind the Choten. He focuses on hitting hard and fast, along with stunning opponents. He’s also particularly skilled in using mana shields. 

Abyssal is a brilliant engineer and he also holds a degree in marine biology, which comes in handy when dealing with Water Civilization creatures. He has an immense love for the ocean and deep sea animals. While generally uneasy around most creatures, he does have a soft spot for the more fishlike Water creatures.

Abyssal’s known the Choten for over 20 years, working closely under him during his time at the Temple. When the Choten left the Temple, he convinced Dr Abyssal to join him. Abyssal was eager to join, after having a recent fall out with the Duel masters himself and the promise of getting to develop the tech gauntlets with near unlimited resources. Abyssal believes in their cause, hoping to make the human world safer, having had his own detrimental run-in with creatures, he knows how dangerous they can be. Abyssal is the only one allowed to call the Choten by his first name, August. Abyssal idolizes the Choten and believes he has all their best interests at heart, even if his methods seem a bit…harsh.

Abyssal is also quite close to Alakshmi, he adores her and considers her like a daughter to him. They met when the Choten first brought her aboard the ship several years ago. Her bad family situation struck a chord with Abyssal and he tries his best to look out for her.

Towards the end of season two, Abyssal would have a change of heart and leave the Choten, hoping to help Alakshmi and he works to undo the damage he’s caused.
