Although it has passed, I certainly wish all women a happy women's day! And this month has been declared the month of women! Yes, it is celebrated on March 8! There are certainly a lot of female characters from the Duckverse, and I will leave only the most important ones from various franchises (cartoons, comics) and you have the choice to choose who you think is the best female Duck character from the Duckverse in general. Happy Women's Day once again and this is just a poll for fun and a little play!

I wanted to show you one of my first edit about DT17 with Odin Eidolon and Lyla Lay. Here they are cheering Donald for winning against Gladstone, for they knew he could, in the episode The House of Lucky Gander.

Funny thought I had at work:

What if Donald's family (mostly his sister/cousins) did notice him grieving after Uno was shut down?

Donald is upset about something but very tight-lipped about what and why. Up until one of them manages to get him to talk a little bit about it. (maybe Feathery? He seems like the sort who'd try to comfort someone without judging them or promising to listen no matter what) And then they all extrapolate/misinterpret the reason from the crumbs they worm out of him.

Donald, obviously, doesn't want to tell them that Ducklair shut down his AI friend, and kicked him out of the tower without giving him the chance to say goodbye. And he doesn't know if he'll ever see them again (if Ducklair ever reactivates Uno). It's something that he really doesn't know how to fix it or make it better.

What his family gets out of him are:

There was a secret floor to Ducklair Tower that Donald had a friend living in.

The friend couldn't leave the tower, or even that specific floor. They could only see the world outside through windows and cameras.

Donald's friend had a lot of respect/a previously very good relationship with Ducklair himself.

His friend is now "gone" and Donald doesn't think he'll ever see them again.

Ducklair's comments/behavior were really out of character compared to the previous times Donald had seen or spoken to them. Shockingly harsh/cold.

And, considering the wildness of their family, these facts get twisted in a really interesting way.

Eventually, after the rest of the family (I'm mostly picturing Della, Gladstone, and Fethry. Maybe Abner, for funsies) do some serious debating to piece it all together without upsetting Donald even more, they make a loose frame of what they think the core issue is.

The end result?

They think Uno is a secret son that Ducklair was hiding because he had serious health issues that meant he couldn't leave the tower. Potentially because whatever health equipment he needed was there and couldn't be moved. The specific tower he'd lived in had potentially been sold by accident and when Donald was registered as the caretaker of the tower the security system let him onto the floor that Uno had lived in.

Potentially, Uno was also the reason Donald kept bailing on them while he worked there. Because the super-sick heir lived in a super high-tech building made by a mad genius, so there was a non-zero chance that their cousin was beating back crooks and wannabe villains who thought they could steal stuff to attack the city there. They wish he had brought them in on it to help more if that was the case.

And, finally, that friend had likely passed away and Ducklair's mood change was potentially due to poorly handled grief. There is a small chance that Ducklair had pulled a plug due to not being able to find a cure but it's hard to imagine because the man never seemed the sort.

(Also, since they have no idea if Ducklair has ever been married, there is the possibility that his son was actually a clone because the man was a Mad Scientist and anything was possible with those types. Which could also explain why no one knew the son existed in the first place.)

But this is the Duck family, so this also played like it's a soap opera/telenovela. It gets wild, especially when Gladstone's luck brings Layla in and she fights to keep her laughter internal as she watches the trainwreck of errors from the cousins trying to piece together Donald's secret life.

Oh, and they also think Uno was Donald's boyfriend, and one of the reasons he never told them was to hide him from Scrooge.

Donald Duck with Lyla Lay and Kay K (PKNA and Double Duck) - Duck comics - Duckverse

Granted, it's not the first drawing I've done together within Double Duck and Duck Avenger, one of my favorite Donald Duck comics, but I did a separate drawing where Donald Duck is alone together with Lyla Lay (from Paperinik New Adventures) and Kay K (from Double Duck) and yes I am a fan of both couples. And those ladies are also very fearless and good and it's hard for me to decide which one is better. Certainly Donald goes with along with them. And yes, don't tell Daisy about this! You know, It's kinda sad that we never got to see these three interact much.

I mean, sure.

We have seen Lyla and Stefan interact. Same with him and Angus, or Angus with Lyla. But never really all three of them together.

And honestly, I think these three would make a wonderful comedic trio.

Like I think they would balance each other out very well.

Angus is very...well he's Angus. Rude, confrontational, short tempered etc. But he's also a coward and while he doesn't like showing it, actually has a softer side.

Lyla would be more the caregiver of the group. Caring, friendly, known and well liked by most people. But most important, she doesn't put up with Angus Crap and will (mostly) call him out for it.

Stefan on the other hand is probably the most experienced and, at least in my opinion, the only one with a braincell. He isn't confrontational like Angus or Social like Lyla, instead he is rather quiet and observing. But he's also very curious and will likely get himself into trouble due to it.

As an example have a little situation that I may or may not turn into a fic one day:

Lyla: "I am not going to let you just go in there! The whole building is probably full of these people. Wasn't almost getting shot on our way here not enough?"

Angus: "Listen Lyla.The evidence we need is in. That. Building! I'm not letting you ruin my scoop! *dramatically turns around towards the building*. "Plus, we're not even breaking in! The window there is already open!"

Lyla: *groans* "Fine. Do whatever you want, but we're out." "Come on Nine." *Pause, looking around* "...-Nine?"

*Stefan suddenly jumping through a closed window, evidence in Hand*

C9:"I got what we need, let's go!"

Duck Avenger (Paperinik) and Double Duck - Kay K and Lyla Lay meet Donald's family - Duckvember - Agent, Adventurous and Curious Duck (Ducks)

I haven't drawn Duck Avenger and Double Duck for a long time, and I will be doing more of this in the future. I certainly drew as a redraw from the genius artist Paolo Mottura who drew as a poster for the Pk Timecrime DD comic from 2016 which was a great crossover of Double Duck (secret super spy Donald working for The Agency) and Duck Avenger (PKNA version, again Donald as a superhero) where they fight against The Organization and criminals. Yes, this comic besides being drawn by Paolo Mottura, this comic was written by Francesco Artibani. Yes, Lyla Lay (journalist and android who comes from the future and works for the Time Police against The Organization) and Kay K (Arianne Konnery, that is, Arianna Adelaide and a well-known partner of Double Duck and works for The Agency) meet together. By the way, I recommend reading this comic as it's great, especially if you're a fan of Duck Avenger and Double Duck.

Yes, the first drawing is a redraw from the poster I mentioned, where they are fighting to protect Duckburg from the villains (although my background is not very good for me unfortunately, sorry). The second drawing is the meeting of Kay K and Lyla Lay, who are Donald's partners with Donald's family, primarily his nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie. Yes, I love when they are Donald's love partners (sorry Daisy), since they act together, and understand him a lot, even though Donald doesn't reveal his secret identities to them. Yes, I drew more in the Quack Pack version (and it's also part of my Quack Pack AU), since I think the dynamics and action, as well as some extreme conditions and adventures from the Italian comics are almost Quack Pack, with Quack Pack being more comedy. Yes, there's also Daisy Duck, who is definitely mad at Donald for bringing those beautiful ladies to their house. Yeah, as good as the Quack Pack version of Daisy is, she somehow can't get the jealousy out of her, it's still typical Daisy that she doesn't like competition, but she'd definitely be on great terms with them, especially Lyla, since they're both reporters. And as for HDL, I think they would get along great and go on adventures with them, with Huey going with Kay and Donald, and Dewey and Louie with Lyla Lay and Donald.

I hope you like these drawings and these ideas and feel free to like and reblog, but don't use these ideas without my permission and my mention. And don't put in the SHIP tag as far as between Donald's nephews and Kay and Lyla, since they are still children, despite being teenagers, and Kay and Lyla are adults.
