there was one thing ticked off your bucket list this year and that was going out the country with your long time boyfriend, itoshi sae.
sae was able to bring you along to spain for this season's soccer tournament. he even went as far as getting you a schengen tourist visa just so you can stay with him until the tournament finishes
and with that, today was your official first day in spain.
luckily for the both of you, sae had an extra day to spare before training. so being the boyfriend he is, sae took the responsibility of being your tour guide and show you around the city he lives in, madrid.
sae took you to all his favorite spots to spend his leisure time if he had some and even took you out on a lunch date at his favorite 5* michelin restaurant.
after exploring the city, you two find yourselves in the busy streets of puerto del sol. there were so many stores and vendors out and about. there was something so endearing hearing sae talk to the locals as you two do your little touristy things such as getting a romantic portrait drawn by some artist on the street.
on the way to the local park, sae spots a florist and buys a bouquet of flowers for you just because.
"¿cuánto por estos?" (how much for these?) you hear sae ask, while pointing at the selection of premade bouquets up on display. you tug on his arm, protesting about how he already spent so much today. sae simply shushes you and continues to converse with the vendor.
"para tu amante?" (for your lover?)
"sí, tomaré esto para mi amante" (yes, for my lover) sae says, wrapping an arm around you. almost like he was showing you off to the old lady selling flowers. she smiles widely and says something in spanish that you obviously didn’t understand.
"ya que ustedes son tan lindos, ¡les daré esto por la mitad del precio!" (since you guys are so cute, I'll give you this for half the price!)
you look up at sae to see him blush a little.
"¡oh! realmente no tienes que hacerlo..." (oh! you really don't have to...) sae says sheepishly, rubbing the back of neck.
the old lady simply laughs and hands you the bouquet of flowers sae picked.
"you are very lucky" she dotes, giving your hand a squeeze. you look at sae to see him smiling down at you.
"muchas gracias" you chirp, looking between the vendor and sae. the vendor laughs and waves goodbye as you two walk away.
"que el verdadero amor que comparten hoy se fortalezca a medida que envejecen juntos!" (may the true love you share today grow stronger as you grow older together!) you hear the old lady yell out from the distance.
the day finally ends when you and sae walk back to his apartment complex.
"so did you have fun today?" sae asks, giving you glance as you two walk hand in hand in the busy streets of madrid.
"is that really a question?" you raise a brow at him, nudging his shoulders. sae laughs, his insides feeling like mush that he finally has you with him. he was no longer alone in spain. no more long distance. no more late night calls, no more timezones. no more.
sae suddenly crouches down in front of you. you take a look around your surroundings to see some bystanders watching the scene unfold before their eyes.
"what are you doing?"
"just get on"
"is this the sae itoshi being romantic?" you tease, cheekily wrapping your hands around his neck as he hoists your legs up. sae smirks at your reaction.
"only for you, mi amor"

Mrs. Dimitrescu?
Alcina is paid a visit by a business partner.
Alcina sighed, she’s been dreading this meeting all week. Having to meet with other wineries never disturbed her much but this particular distributor truly irked her nerves. He was a wealthy man from Madrid, he ran many successful vineyards throughout Spain and had contacted Alcina roughly a month ago in hopes to sell a few picks of her famous selection at his establishment. Alcina hesitantly agreed to this collaboration. She usually tried to avoid doing business with men, especially if they had no affiliation to her or the village. She only ever offered the help of her business to local men but even that was pushing her boundaries, consisting mainly of: the generous butcher, kind schoolteacher, and old florist that Alcina maintained contact with. She had met this man once before and disliked him from the start. It was while she was attending a wine tasting in Argentina, she could tell he was full of himself from his body language alone. He flirted with every woman within a 5-mile radius, no doubt believing his was an irresistible catch. Just thinking about the man made Alcina exhausted. She couldn’t wait to get the entire ordeal over with already.
It wasn’t long until she heard the wine connoisseur arrive to her home, an abrupt knock at the door and giggling of a group of maidens near the main corridor was evidence enough. Alcina rolled her eyes and took one last puff of her cigarette before smushing it the bud down into a nearby ashtray.
He better not try and take one of those girls with him as he departs.
She tried to calm her ever-growing irritation; despite her obvious distaste for the man, she still prided herself on being a good businesswoman. A knock at door to the study allowed her one last change to mentally prepare herself for the company she was about to endure.
“Lady Dimitrescu, Mr. De Santos is here to see you.”
Ah, so that was his name. I guess it doesn’t exactly matter that I couldn’t recall it, I definitely don’t plan on making the mistake of allowing his presence back at my castle again.
“You may enter.”
The door opened to reveal Valeria, a young maid that worked at the castle for about a year now. She was a sweet girl…maybe a little too sweet for her own good if you asked Alcina. The young maiden and Daniela quickly became friends since the girl’s employment and the two often spent a significant amount of time together these days. Her skin was a beautiful shade of sienna brown with her eyes being just a few shades lighter. Her work attire consisted of a white dress that went over her knees, it had a collar like most of the maid’s dresses. She paired her’s with a black apron as well as black mary jane loafers. Short white socks and small pearl earrings were her accessories of the day. Her long, black braid met the middle of her back.
Alcina had a loose dress code amongst her staff and enjoyed seeing them create their own versions of the various uniforms offered. Behind Valeria, Mr. De Santos walked in wearing a deep blue suit with a gold handkerchief in his chest pocket. A luxurious gold watch decorated his wrist and he wore an assortment of gold rings. His dark hair was slicked back, and his mustache was perfectly curled at the ends. He couldn’t have been more than forty years old Alcina decided. He wasn’t bad looking...for a man anyways.
“Thank you so much for graciously leading the way amor.”
Mr. De Santos made quite the show out of thanking Valeria for leading him to Alcina’s study as he bent down to placed a kiss onto the young woman’s hand. He was flirt and Valeria was falling under his spell. She blushed profusely at his antics.
“It-it was really no problem at all.”
She stammered, charmed by such a cliché act.
 “You are dismissed Valeria.”
Alcina’s words snapped the girl out of her trance, and she flashed the countess a quick look of embarrassment before seeing her way out.
“Yes m’lady.”
Mr. De Santos winked at the woman before she disappeared behind the door. It took all of Alcina’s willpower not to roll her eyes in front of him.
No, please continue to flirt with my staff while you blatantly ignore me. Such great etiquette you have.
The man finally turned his attention to Alcina and flashed her a cheeky smile. The kind that would definitely cause any other woman to swoon, but the countess wasn’t exactly his targeted audience.
For Christ’s sake! This man is so full of himself.
“Madam Dimitrescu! How wonderful it is to have you as company again!”
The man declared as he reached to give her the same gesture he gave Valeria just moments ago. Alcina struggled to hide her disgust as she kept her hands out of his reach. Obviously not used to having women reject his advances, Mr. De Santos was at a lost for words by Alcina’s dismissive behavior. He made a fast recovery as he pulled a cigar from his coat. He lit it with ease as he smoothly exhaled a perfect ring.
“Such a beautiful estate you have here, I can see many perks come with the title you carry. Being surrounded by such lovely women in a luxurious castle truly sounds like a man’s dream come true.”
He didn’t meet her eyes when he spoke, instead choosing to survey her study. Taking in the perfectly furnished surroundings. She chose not to honor his obnoxious banter with a response.
“Shall we begin discussing business then?”
He asked with a look of boredom, it seemed as if he finally realized that this was a meeting that actually required work instead of one that would consume his time with romantic endeavors.
“Yes, I would like to discuss selection and pricing. Have a seat Mr. De Santos.”
Alcina gestured to the chair directly across the one she took a seat in.
“Please, call me Andres.”
The meeting was going just as Alcina expected, atrociously. Andres was the textbook definition of misogynic. He constantly spoke over her, undermined her knowledge of wine; and to top it off, was trying to scam her. He claimed that it would benefit her to cut him a deal on her finest selection of the season since she would be earning twice as much from the exposure she would gain from her wine being sold at his vineyard. If this interaction would have happened about a decade earlier, Alcina would have wasted no time slicing this bastard in half but she had made an honest effort on bettering herself recently. She typically resisted from committing acts of violence in front of her daughters, staff, and locals. There was one woman in particular that had never seen her behave in such a state and Alcina did everything in her power to maintain that good image.
She never wanted Claudia to fear her. She knows that’s a heartbreak she won’t be able to handle. It was quite embarrassing how often Alcina thought of the woman. She couldn’t help it, she was her safe place. As she listened to Andres ramble on about how “knowledgeable” he was when it came to running a vineyard, her mind drifted to Claudia.
God, she wishes she were here now instead of this…manthing. To see her smile, hear her laugh. She swears she can still smell her perfume in the room. It was as if her presence lingered wherever Alcina went, yearning for her once more until she returned to her. A knock at the door thankfully interrupted Andres mid-sentence,
“…Spain offers the best opportunities around for...”
It was as if her prayers had been answered. There’s only one person in the castle who enters a room the Lady is occupying without being instructed to…
Claudia
Alcina’s eyes were glued to her as soon as she opened the door. She had on a pair of dark-green flared jeans along with a cream-colored cami. A sand-colored cardigan hung loose around her shoulders with wedges to match. Her hair was free from her usually updo, curls swung with her and she turned to face the tense business partners. She smiled at Alcina before speaking,
Now that’s a real smile
“I’m sorry, I hope I’m not interrupting. I was made aware that the wine you requested never made it up, Mikayla must-of got her duties confused with Harley’s again. I figured it was just easier if I brought it up myself.”
Despite her words being directed towards Alcina, Andres took the liberty of responding before she got the chance.
“Please don’t apologize, how kind of you to do such a thing.”
He jumped up to take the wine out of Claudia’s hands, making sure to linger his on top of hers.
“Here, let me take that from you.”
Alcina glared his direction, anger beginning to boil within her.
He wouldn’t dare…
“Why thank you.”
Claudia returned as she made her way to the small bar that habited in Alcina’s office, grabbing two wine glasses from the cupboard.
“Would I get the pleasure of knowing the name of the gorgeous woman that so kindly brought me a beverage?”
I’m going to kill him
Claudia made her way over to the pair with the glasses in hand, taking the wine back from the man to serve them. He again took advantage of the opportunity to touch her, his index finger softly sliding up the skin of her arm. He looked at her with hunger, and Alcina was absolutely seething. Her nostrils flared and she tightly gripped the arms of her chair. Fabric tearing under the relentless grasp. How dare he touch what’s not his…well
I guess she isn’t exactly mine either.
Alcina sinked into her chair at the realization, one she was painfully reminded of often but tried her best to ignore.
Claudia wasn’t hers.
It didn’t matter how much her heart ached for the woman; she didn’t belong to her. Alcina tried her best not to openly pout at the interaction unfolding in front of her. All she could do was watch as the woman she was in love with interacted with a man she despised. She felt so powerless. She couldn’t decide if the feeling angered or saddened her. Claudia however, seemed unfazed; in fact, she looked as if her mind was occupied elsewhere. Before Alcina had the chance to question what was on her mind Claudia locked eyes with her…and smirked.
The woman maintained eye contact with Alcina as she poured the man’s wine, responding with,
“Now now, don’t get too ahead of yourself mister. You’re talking to a married woman.”
De Santos was completely baffled by her statement and frankly so was Alcina. The man however had a terrible poker face.
“You’re married! But to whom?”
He asked with skepticism as he made a poor attempt at hiding his visual search of trying to locate a ring on her finger.
“Why to the Lady of the house of course! I’m Claudia Dimitrescu.”
She offered her hand to the man to shake as she winked at Alcina.
Claudia…Dimitrescu
The sound of the name mixed with the look she was receiving, Alcina felt her stomach start to build up with a familiar heat.
I want to make that her reality more than anything. To claim her with my name.
Mr. De Santos wore an expression of pure horror. Completely bewildered by the predicament he’s found himself in. Trying desperately to dig himself free of the embarrassment.
“I-I am so unbelievable sorry. If I ever thought for a second that…”
The man’s frantic apologizes fell on deaf ears as Claudia sauntered over to where Alcina sat, maintaining that locked gaze between them. She slowly bent down and smoothly took ahold of Alcina’s cheek, bringing her face close to meet her own. She whispered in her ear loud enough for the man across them to hear.
“Don’t keep me waiting long dearest.”
She placed a lingering kiss onto her cheek. She was dangerously close to her lips and caught the corner of them before pulling away.
She…she…
Alcina’s brain could not function properly in that moment. No matter how hard she tried, she simply couldn’t form a complete thought. Her face tingled deliciously. Her body was left craving more. Alcina has never blushed so deeply in her life.
That’s how Claudia left the pair, a blushing mess.
It’s safe to say that wine was not sold that day.
I hope ya'll enjoy! I apologize if its shitty, I had no time to proof read.
Goodnight <3

Spanish painters of the 19th century: José Rico Cejudo (died in 1939), Preparing the Rossary, 1922:
A regular participant in the National Exhibitions, where he was present until the end of the 1920s, in the 1906 competition he again won an honourable mention with La promesa ("The Promise"), as in 1895, 1899 and 1904, and repeated the award in 1908 with Retrato de don Ernesto Luque y Maraver ("Portrait of Don Ernesto Luque y Maraver"), a genre he did not deal with too often. Likewise, with Un asunto andaluz he won a single medal at the Fine Arts Exhibition held in Mexico in 1910 on the occasion of the Centenary of its Independence. Around this time he also painted various landscapes in the surroundings of Alcalá de Guadaíra, with a special predilection for the pine groves of Oromana, reproduced with rapid strokes and immersed in a peaceful atmosphere of silence and stillness where the human figure is barely present. On the other hand, the more realistic perception of the characters and their environment in his new popular themes is clearly exemplified in Futuros astros del toreo ("Future Bullfighting Stars"), a canvas featuring some young bullfighters, which he presented at the 1915 National Exhibition. The third medal he won in the official competition of 1920 with Floristas en el parque de María Luisa ("Florists in the María Luisa Park"), a work with a strong volume in the characters and a dynamic atmosphere full of light reflections, would only confirm the characteristics of his new style. The painting was also acquired by the State for 3,000 pesetas and destined for the Museo de Arte Moderno in Madrid. He was also interested in the search for unprecedented light reflections in canvases such as Altar Boys Preparing the Rosary, The Baptism of the Christening and The Rosary.

The Language of Flowers in Spain
In Spain, where every gesture carries profound meaning, the choice of flowers becomes a poetic dialogue. The language of flowers, or "El Lenguaje de las Flores," is an art embedded in Spanish culture, where each bloom communicates sentiments. Roses, especially red ones, take center stage as symbols of deep love and passion. Orchids convey strength and beauty, while lilies symbolize devotion. Unraveling the intricate meanings behind each bloom adds a layer of depth to the romantic exchange on Valentine's Day.
The best Spanish Valentine's Day flower bouquet is a symphony of passion and sophistication, capturing the essence of romance in every petal. Red roses, the timeless symbol of love, form the heart of this exquisite arrangement, their velvety blooms expressing deep emotions with timeless elegance. Complementing the roses, fragrant lilies add an element of purity and devotion, creating a harmonious blend of ardor and commitment. Interspersed with vibrant orchids, the bouquet takes on an exotic allure, symbolizing the unique and enchanting aspects of the relationship. Sunflowers, with their warm and cheerful demeanor, infuse the bouquet with a touch of joy and adoration. The best Spanish Valentine's Day flower bouquet goes beyond conventional norms; it's a curated masterpiece that reflects the personality of the giver and the sentiments shared. Whether presented in a classic arrangement, heart-shaped design, or an artful mix of regional blooms, the best bouquet is a visual poem, expressing love in a language as diverse and passionate as Spain itself. In the spirit of modern connectivity, these stunning bouquets can also be sent across distances, making the celebration of love truly boundless.
Valentine's Day Traditions in Spain
Spanish lovers celebrate Valentine's Day with a unique blend of passion and tradition. The day is not just limited to romantic partners; friends and family also exchange tokens of affection. One of the charming customs is the exchange of "Lladró," delicate porcelain figurines representing love, beauty, and the joy of shared moments. Additionally, couples often indulge in the delightful ritual of sharing a "turrón," a traditional nougat, symbolizing sweetness in love.
Floral Splendor Across Spain
From the historic streets of Seville to the bustling boulevards of Barcelona, flower shops burst into a spectrum of colors during the Valentine's season. The fragrance of fresh blooms wafts through the air, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Local florists curate breathtaking arrangements that reflect both modern trends and classic elegance. The vibrancy of Spanish culture is mirrored in these floral creations, making them not just gifts but tangible expressions of the profound emotions that bind hearts. When it comes to expressing love through flowers, the choices are as rich and diverse as the country's heritage. Red roses, symbolic of deep passion and love, take the lead in Spanish Valentine's Day flower gift ideas. Bouquets that intertwine red roses with other blooms carry nuanced messages of admiration and enchantment. Orchids, with their exotic beauty, are favored for expressing strength and allure, adding an intriguing layer to the romantic gesture. Lilies, representing devotion, grace many arrangements, infusing them with a sense of purity and commitment. Beyond the classic choices, sunflowers, with their vibrant hues, symbolize adoration and loyalty. Floral arrangements in Spain are often an artistic expression, mirroring the country's zest for life. Spanish lovers may opt for bouquets that incorporate local flowers, such as carnations or jasmine, to add a touch of regional charm. Additionally, the arrangement itself is significant—whether it's a classic bouquet, a heart-shaped display, or an elegant floral centerpiece, the presentation is as crucial as the choice of flowers. Spanish Valentine's Day flower gift ideas go beyond the conventional, embodying the spirit of the culture in every petal. For those separated by distance, the modern trend of sending Valentine's Day flowers to Spain through online services has gained popularity. These services ensure that love knows no borders, delivering not just flowers but messages of profound emotion.

Unveiling the Romance: A Comprehensive Guide to Planning Your Dream Destination Wedding in Spain
Tumblr media
Spain, with its vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and warm Mediterranean climate, offers an idyllic setting for couples envisioning a romantic destination wedding. From the historic streets of Barcelona to the enchanting Andalusian towns of Seville and Granada, and the sun-kissed beaches of Costa del Sol and Mallorca, Spain provides a diverse range of locations to create an unforgettable wedding experience. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the essential steps and considerations for planning your dream destination wedding in Spain.
Choose the Perfect Location:
Spain boasts a plethora of stunning locations, each with its unique charm and ambiance. Consider the lively streets of Madrid, the artistic flair of Barcelona, the Moorish architecture of Andalusia, or the coastal beauty of Costa Brava or the Balearic Islands. Determine whether you desire a vibrant city celebration, a historical setting, or a seaside affair, and select a location that resonates with your vision.
Weather Considerations:
Spain enjoys a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters, but the weather can vary across regions. Check the average temperatures and rainfall patterns for your chosen location and plan your wedding during a season that offers pleasant weather. Spring and early autumn tend to be the most popular seasons for weddings in Spain when the weather is generally mild and comfortable.
Legal Requirements and Paperwork:
To ensure your marriage is legally recognized, familiarize yourself with the specific legal requirements for getting married in Spain. Non-resident couples typically need to provide documentation such as passports, birth certificates, and a Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage. It is advisable to consult with the local embassy or consulate to obtain the most up-to-date information and guidance on the necessary paperwork.
Secure the Perfect Venue:
Spain offers a wide range of exquisite venues, from historic castles and palaces to charming vineyards and beachfront resorts. Research and visit potential venues to find the one that aligns with your vision and meets your needs in terms of capacity, amenities, and ambiance. Popular choices include Spanish haciendas, rustic fincas, boutique hotels, and luxury villas.
Engage Local Wedding Professionals:
Working with local wedding professionals is crucial for planning a successful destination wedding in Spain. Hire a local wedding planner who is familiar with the region and can provide valuable insights, recommend trusted vendors, and handle logistics. Local photographers, caterers, florists, and musicians can bring their expertise and cultural understanding to create an authentic and memorable wedding experience.
Embrace Spanish Culture and Cuisine:
Incorporate Spanish traditions and cuisine into your wedding to create an immersive experience for you and your guests. Consider serving traditional Spanish dishes such as paella, tapas, and sangria, paired with local wines. Embrace flamenco music and dance for entertainment, or incorporate elements of Spanish art and architecture into your decor. Infuse the vibrant spirit of Spain throughout your celebration.
Accommodations and Guest Experience:
Consider the comfort and convenience of your guests by providing them with a list of recommended accommodations in various price ranges. Arrange transportation options to ensure easy access to the wedding venue and nearby attractions. Provide information on local activities and attractions, such as guided city tours, wine tastings, or beach outings, allowing your guests to make the most of their time in Spain.
Plan Pre and Post-Wedding Activities:
Extend the celebration by organizing pre and post-wedding activities for you and your guests. Plan welcome dinners, rehearsal parties, or cultural excursions to further immerse your guests in the Spanish culture and experience. Organize visits to iconic landmarks, arrange flamenco shows, or offer wine tours to create unforgettable memories and make the most of your time in Spain.
Planning a destination wedding in Spain offers a unique blend of romance, culture, and natural beauty. Whether you choose a vibrant city, a historic town, or a coastal paradise, Spain provides a captivating backdrop for your special day. By carefully considering the location, weather, legal requirements, and engaging local professionals, you can create a wedding celebration that embraces Spanish charm and ensures an unforgettable experience for you and your guests. So, embrace the allure of Spain and embark on your journey to a dream destination wedding in this enchanting country.

Carmen Headcanons
I don't care that she appears for less than 5 seconds in Don's intro. I don't care that she's barely a character. She fucking deserves one. Here ya go!
-Carmen Rosa Rodriguez, called Carmen Rose by others, is the jewel of Madrid and the girlfriend of Don Flamenco.
-She is the envy of many girls back in Madrid for being able to score Don for herself.
-She works with her papa as a florist. They sell beautiful bouquets for the Matadors to catch and special roses for performances. Carmen also specializes in making perfume. The one Don uses in his matches is a special blend made especially for him.
-It was the florist business that got the two acquainted. During one of her shifts, Don, his father Mariano, and his older brother Tomás, came in wanting roses for their matches.
-Carmen, while being a very gentle and delicate lover, has a very playful side. Very VERY playful. She loves to play games and jokes on others, but her favorite target is a girl named Luisa.
-Not even Don is safe from his lover's antics. Her tricks on him are mild though, she wouldn't go further than drawing mustaches on his face when he sleeps or swapping perfume with his brother's cologne.
-Her laugh is the purest thing ever. Don always tries to make her laugh, whether that be from telling her a joke, a funny story, or tickling her, he will do it.
-She also snorts when she laughs and Don always melts over it.
-HER HAIR. It's the softest fucking thing. Don loves it and lowkey envies her because his hair is a birds nest.
-When they kiss, it's always a giggly affair because she's laughing the entire time from joy and it makes Don laugh too. When it's a small peck on the cheek or the neck, she always goes overboard with the smooches, and one side of Don's upper body will always be covered with a thousand or more lipstick stains.
-She can play the ukulele, because I said.
-Outside of Don though, Carmen does interact with the rest of Major Circuit too, treating them like extended family. She and Hondo geek about Sailor Moon, she and Hugger will share recipes and cook together, and Tiger will show off his magic to her and show her how to meditate. She's also friends with Aran, much to the chagrin of Don. The two love to play tricks on the rest of the boxers when she comes to the facility.
-Big fidget. She can't sit still for more than 10 seconds. It's especially annoying during bullfight matches when she wants to hop the fence and hug Don but she can't.
-She also knows how much of a drama queen Don is and though he is a lot, she wouldn't want it any other way. Don's upset? She'll kiss all his tears away and boop his nose till he feels better. He's mad? She'll play with his hair and tickle him until he's in fits of laughter. He's confused or lost on what to do? She'll take his hands and give him a Peppy and upbeat pep talk to get him on the right path. There is so much she would do for him.
-If ever she's upset or been hurt, Don will literally kill the nearest warm body. No one touches his amor unless they want to be buried 6ft under in the next hour or so. If he ever catches her crying, he will smother her with kisses, flowers and love. He will not stand to see her be unhappy.
-Her home is on a small farm in the countryside of Madrid. Her mother is the main hand on the farm. It only has a few animals, 2 cows, some pigs, chickens, and a horse named Button.
-She isn't as active as Don, though she does try to be. However she is much more drawn to
Sketching landscapes and animals. Her favourite subject is her horse, Button.
