he’ll even read/share bedtime stories with you if you’re willing to listen

anything you need, he’s on it

and once you feel better, he’s resuming his leadership duties

but he’s not taking his focus away from you

Volo is very much a wanderer

but when you’re sick, he’s staying put

he hates to see you in such a dreadful state

and he can’t bear to leave you until you’re feeling better

while you nap, he’s out collecting herbs and medicinal leeks 

he’ll make your favorite soup

and he’ll hand feed it to you

he’s a deranged; touch starved lunatic, so you bet he’s holding you at all times

his Arcanine will be your pillow (and your heat source)

and Togekiss is your entertainment

while he’s searching for herbs and leeks, he’ll also be hunting for little trinkets for you

because his poor, sick s/o has to have something special

this man has an ABUNDANCE of stories to share with you

and he’ll share ALL OF THEM, even if you don’t ask

once you’re feeling better, he’ll pack up and head out

you WILL be getting a kiss on the cheek (or lips) before he departs

“I’ll be back soon, y/n. If you start feeling ill again, I’ve left the recipe for the soup I made on the table.”

you’re sick, and Melli does NOT like that

he distances himself from you

and not just because of how gross you sound

but he’s TERRIFIED of getting sick himself

he’ll speak to you through letters delivered by Pokémon

and they’re very sweet letters

but once Adaman finds out that he’s ‘too good’ to take care of you…

you can hear that scolding from across the Diamond Clan settlement 

Melli will slowly approach you

and he’s absolutely disgusted

you can 10000000% tell that smile is forced

but once he settles in

he’s trying his best to help you

he’s hesitant to cuddle with you

but he assumes there’s no other choice

and once he feels how hot you are, he holds you a little tighter

since he’s here, he may as well be close to you

he apologizes for being rude, something he would NEVER do for anyone else

and he’ll send Pokémon to Adaman to request recipes for soups

you’ll probably end up making them yourself, though, because Melli can’t cook at all

he’ll learn eventually

once you start feeling better, Melli does indeed get sick

because he’s always running from illness, his immune system is a bit weaker

but you’re there for him regardless

Ingo helps lost Zorua kits find their way back home, bc their fur colours remind him of something he can’t remember(EMMET) but he feels safe with them.

One of those kits keeps getting lost, and Ingo doesn’t realize it but he’s constantly helping out this one(1) Zorua kit, and the kit gets attached. Eventually it evolves.

the Zoroark moves in to Lady Sneasler’s Den, and is an unofficial part of Ingo’s team, helping with hunting and scouting for lost people. It becomes an alpha, as the strongest Zoroark in the area(and only zoroark in the highlands)

In conclusion,

Melli gets jumpscared after walking by Lady Snealser’s den and seeing a whole ass alpha Zoroark staring at him.

(Ingo names it Emmet. No he doesn’t know where the name came from, why do you ask?)

Do you have any headcanons for why Adaman wears bandages?

I do actually! (Ahhh something I’ve been dying to talk about, but haven’t found an excuse!)

Adaman shows no hesitation or limitations using his arm/hand, nor does he (or any other character) ever allude to him having received any kind of injury, or being in any kind of physical pain at any point during the story, so it’s unlikely that he wears them due to injury. I suppose he could wear them to cover scarring from an older injury, but I have a better explanation that has quite a lot of evidence to back it up

As I just mentioned, I don’t actually think they’re bandages in the sense that they’re covering a wound or injury, I headcanon that they’re protective arm wraps used for boxing or similar contact sport/martial arts. These wraps are often used to prevent/minimise injury, for compression and to stabilise the hands/wrist, sometimes extending up the arm to brace the elbow and shoulders depending on the activity, or style of fighting. Not only do they bare a striking resemblance to real life examples of such wraps, bandage wraps like this are a common trope in anime, especially among fighter/martial arts based characters.

Adaman isn’t the only member of his clan to wear similar arm wraps/bandages, with Iscan also wearing a similar set

In the Adaman and Irida gallery cards from the tcg, both cards make up on half of an image that shows the two Clans in one scene. In the foreground Iscan can be seen seemingly engaging in a (friendly I assume) fight of some sorts with Gaeric, of the Pearl clan. This establishes a few things. Firstly that boxing/fighting does appear to be the purpose of Iscan’s arm wraps, and that fighting in such a way is something that people of Hisui, more specifically people in Adaman’s very Clan, do participate in.

Having established that fighting is a pastime in Hisui, It’s not a stretch to assume that Adaman may also participate in similar activities, and with Iscan being a member of his clan it could even be the case that Iscan taught him the arm wrapping techniques in the first place (🥹)

We even know that Adaman has canon shown interest in such things, sharing a keen desire to learn ninja techniques from Benny, making it even more likely that fighting would appeal to him. He even briefly engages in a physical altercation with Kamado, who is a sumo wrestler.

I also have to mention that Adaman’s entire design is based on Dialga, so the bandages/wraps also serve the purpose of bringing more of that steel grey into his design, but from a lore perspective I think the most logical explanation (and my own personal headcanon) is that they’re arm wraps used for fighting!

Melli is the tallest twink frolicking through Hisui

When I saw Volo, I thought he would be the tall guy™ for Pokémon Legends Arceus since his height is emphasised in his concept artwork. I was sorely mistaken. There is another stinky, smelly contender for this distinguished honour of tall guy™--an underdog, if you will.

This thing twinkie is rediculously tall. He has no right to gallavant through the fields of Hisui as such a long boi. For the sake of my self-indulgent fanfictions general curiosity, I decided to guesstimate how long this boi actually was. (Was? Is? He lived in the past. He was.)

The Volussy has a canon height of 190 cm in his concept art. Thankfully, they included some kind of canon height for one of these characters. The Pokémon game designers rarely add info like exact height or age, forcing silly humans such as myself to hyperfixate at 4am on such random details.

Using generator, am gonna assume that Akari is about 135,5 cm based on where she stands compared to Volo in the concept art. My estimates are in increments of 5 because they are a very rough estimate. Pls add more canon heights in the future for characters, Pokémon

There is immaculate HD wallpaper for Pokémon Legends Arceus featuring the literal GOAT Dialga✨️, and Akari standing beside the leader of the best Clan. The wallpaper shows both characters in the foreground which makes it easier to imagine the height difference. Hurrah!

After adding them into the graph, I would venture to say Adaman is somewhere around 170,5. Not in the same league as Volo, but size doesn't matter kings!

In his stinky concept art, sMelli is announcing how amazing Adaman is and for once, he is recognising someone outside himself as amazing.

I adjusted Stinky sMelli's pose to better see the difference between the two. The shoulders are slightly raised because of the pose. His knees are no longer weak and his palms are no longer sweaty.

The top of Adaman's head is somewhere slightly below sMelli's stinky shoulder. Adding him into the graph with this general difference leads me to speculate that this atrociously stinky twinkie is approximately 215 cm. He is well over 200 cm no doubt, which means only Zisu of the Security Corps could possibly rival him. She is super-ultra-mega tall!

I had to make a meme in light of this fantastic revelation

I can now understand how sMelli bodied every guard posted outside the Galaxy Expedition HQ. RIP Beaureguard. He invited himself and shoved his way up the stairs to include himself. He didn't even bring any of his Pokémon with him so I like to imagine sMelli either went for the cheap shots and kicked each guard in the pokéballs, or he threw them aside. He is apparently one of the tallest characters in this game, so I would expect nothing less out of a pissy twinkie like himself.

I tend to headcanon re-gained Killer, where he regains his emotions very, very slowly. So, I headcanon that the first time it began to happen, it was tiny snippets and he was so confused what was happening, but Nightmare just kind of felt them and always had the quietest smile on his face each time

I feel like Killer would be the type to be like, "I brought you a flower," cue the most dead, sad tiny dandelion, cause he couldn't find any other flowers that weren't in Nightmare's garden, so bro would go searching for HOURS

dunno how I haven't written this down except in a kinky fucking smut draft but. I am in love with the idea of the wardens as a whole being their own, connected clan. they're still of their original Diamond/Pearl clans, still wear their colors, but the life of a warden is lonely, the change from nomadic lifestyle to established lodgings is not one a typical clansman would understand, even if they were close enough physically to keep in communication. these are ten people who connect not just from distance shared but life experiences their fellow clan have literally no reference for. no one would date call a warden outcast, but they're nearly everything but in name

also the nobles certainly don't believe in clan distinctions, Wyrdeer does not hold resentment for Kleavor over some human feud, not any other noble pairs, their wardens must work together to fully complete their duties to their sacred pokemon and the area they are sworn to protect. their clans may be feuding but the wardens are separate, looking in from a different perspective.

it's not an open secret, technically, but they are less watched, less restricted by their clan leaders as a typical clanmember and generally left alone to their duties without input. it's only natural for them to connect to others in their same situation, help and be helped in turn as new wardens struggle through the changes to their standings and surroundings, as older wardens share the oral history, remedies, stories and songs to all those collected there. not from only one side of the rivalry or the other, but those of both... or of neither. they are all connected by their service, the bands on their wrists symbols of the lives devoted to the Great Nobles of Hisui.

I know that AZ’s name references the first and last letter of the alphabet, and that it complements the letter themed game names of the generation that he was introduced in, but I headcanon that it’s short for Azalea. Not only would it fit the well established Pokemon tradition of naming characters after flowers/plants/trees, but it also works really well with his connections to flowers. It’s not a perfect match, but his Floette’s unique flower even has some features in common with an Azalea flower.

I don’t believe this so true in any way, just a fun little head canon

So I had speculated before that when Ingo was transported to Hisui, because they're two of the prizes that you can buy in any incarnation of the Battle Subway, it's not a stretch of the imagination to think that Ingo may have had a Razor Fang and Razor Claw on him. And if this is true, then it's entirely possible that he was the person responsible for Lady Sneasler becoming... Well... A Sneasler. If he was responsible for her evolution, it would certainly explain why Ingo was allowed to become a Warden in spite of being an outsider to the Pearl Clan when they seem to have a distrust of strangers.

But thinking about it... Actually... Maybe every Warden has a deep tie to their ward like that. We obviously see that Palina was at least partially responsible for Growlithe evolving into Lord Arcanine. (Without a Fire Stone to boot!) But it would also absolutely make sense that Lian would have dug up some Black Augurite which was later used to evolve Scyther into Lord Kleavor!

The more I think about it, really the more it kinda just feels right that maybe the Wardens were selected at least in part because they played a role in their wards evolving and fully taking on their roles as Noble/Ride Pokemon. It would certainly help to explain the more odd choices the clans have made in deciding who becomes a Warden. Sabi being the one to level Braviary up until it evolved would certainly explain her weirdly OP team! And Gaeric is obviously the kind of person who would have leveled up Lord Avalugg. Perhaps Wyrdeer and Basculegion were trying to protect Mai and Iscan respectively when they evolved. And maybe Calaba had been collecting peat for medicinal/ceremonial purposes under the light of a full moon. I don't know what Melli and Arezu would have done to get their wards to evolve... Lian clearly has an interest in rocks, so it only make sense for him to have dug up some Black Augurite, but that doesn't really feel like that would have been the case for Arezu finding a Sun Stone and Melli finding a Leaf Stone. There might be a story there, but I don't know what it would be. The best that I've got is that in Platinum, both can be found in the areas that were once the Crimson Mirelands, so maybe those are just areas where those stones exist in relative abundance and can be found? Who knows? Fun to think about though!
