Some snippets into Donnie's relationship to his brothers in the Separated AU

So after having figured out that Donnie is in fact their Long Lost Brother, the Drax Trio obviously want him back, and while Donnie is initially excited to find out that he has a bunch of siblings, he's less excited to find out that they're a bit, uh, evil. And they keep insulting April!! How dare they!!! Not to mention, he already has a dad, he doesn't need a new one! So no, Donnie isn't planning on just leaving his current family behind for this new one, and his brothers react to this in various different ways.

As much as Mikey wants Donnie back, Dr. Feelings understands that this is quite the adjustment for Donnie and that he may need some time to come to terms with the fact that he actually belongs with them and not with the humans. Mikey doesn't wanna force his brother to reunite with them, so instead he tries to convince Donnie to come home willingly through various ways. I mentioned this in an earlier post, but AU Mikey is essentially trying to give Donnie a redemption arc like Canon Mikey did with Draxum

Raph, however, sees Donnie and immedietly goes full Protective Big Brother Mode. He thinks the best course of action is to "forcefully rescue" (kidnap) him and and then convince him to stay and be apart of their family. He's can't help catastrophizing about all the way his baby brother is definitely being mistreated by Lou Jitsu and April and all the other evil humans oh NO they have to SAVE HIM!! The only reason he doesn't is because no one else in the Draxum family thinks it's a good idea

And then Leo. I'll go more into detail about Leo's character in this AU at a later dat cuz hhhhhhh but basically, he's still dealing with pretty intense Middle Child Syndrome and the LAST thing he need is another middle child joining the family! Why are all his family members so obsessed with getting Donnie back anyway? He's already clearly chosen the human side so why waste their time on him! .....Now that's not entirely the whole truth, he's kinda ecstatic when he first meets Donnie, except Donnie doesn't seem to care about them any, which... ouch.

Another way to describe their dynamic would be similar to their canon dynamic, a lot of friendly bickering.... except they don't really know each other and are also enemies here so like.... UNfriendly bickering.... which is just bickering lol. They fight a lot, is what I'm getting at.

Anyway you know the family dinner scene with Draxum in season 2 of the show? Yeah, Mikey tries that tactic here too. Like I said, Mikey wants to be patient with Donnie, but he does eventually get a bit tired of Donnie acting so hostile all the time so he starts organizing hangouts for the four of them (attendence is mandatory!)

And poor Donnie, this whole situation is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for him, as you might imagine. Reuniting with your secret lost family is fun for all of five seconds before you find out that they're actually kinda messed up uh oh. A big reason why Donnie acts so hostile towards his brothers is because it's easier for him to just dismiss them as mere enemies that he feels no attatchment to. -He isn't very fond of sinners, and while his perspective on them has changed since joining the hotel, his opinion certainly hasn't flipped 180 degrees. How could it have? Good deeds never made the news in Hell, and the dead he was forced to interact with were powerful. Powerful sinners were never innocent; no one becomes an overlord by accident. Centuries upon centuries of talking to the powerful, witnessing only violence and hatred, will not be undone by a single moment of comradery in war — a battle where he couldn't know if the sinners were acting solely in their own self-interest.

-This is why, when you first arrive at the hotel, he's fairly aloof. He'll be polite, of course; he has no reason not to be (especially while lowkey still trying to win over his daughter), but will hold himself distant.

-Despite this, he admits you're kinda cute....

-You don't see him often, which doesn't help with his distance — he isn't used to being around so many people, and while he's pretty charismatic and extroverted, he's also still depressed and has a habit of self-isolating when he's going through it (which is often). He only really comes out for his daughter's sake.

-To get to know him faster than his changing perspective and mental challenges would otherwise allow, you could: one, approach him directly! Be friendly, open, and interested in his hobbies. This only works if you do the same for the others, though. If you don't, he might see your advances as manipulation. Two, you could develop a relationship with Charlie. Support her, believe in her cause, and have her back. He'll see you helping his daughter and will want to understand you further. Three, you could talk about ducks. That'll get him. He'll approach you eventually and strike up a conversation.

-If you don't do any of these things, that's fine; he'll just get to know you at the same pace that he gets to know the others. He'll slowly open up to the idea that not all sinners are violent psychopaths, become more comfortable with the rest of the crew, and realize how well he connects with you over a period of several months.

- Lucifer catches feelings pretty fast once you start hanging out for real. He's enamored with you: not only are you cute as fuck, but his daughter loves you, and you're the nicest sinner he's ever met (while kindest of the damned is not a hard-earned title, it's one he appreciates nonetheless).

-Once he realizes he's caught feelings, he'll ask Charlie for permission to ask you out. If she says yes (which, if she likes you, she probably will), he'll ask you out to dinner.

-Prepare for the first date to be really awkward. Even if you've known him for a while at this point, he's incredibly nervous — he hasn't done anything romantic in a good while, and the last time he tried a relationship, it didn't work out. The whole time, he's fumbling over his words and cringing at himself, saying things he doesn't mean to while trying to be suave. When he escorts you back home after a very bumpy evening, he'll be downtrodden. He messed things up, just as he knew he would, and now you probably hate him; thoughts of self-loathing and regret swirl in his mind until you say you'll pay him back next time (he blinks up at you owlishly. "Next time? Like...another date?" You confirm his thoughts. "Oh--- oh! Yes, absolutely! I mean, no, no need to pay me back; of course not, but next time sounds good! How does this Saturday at 3 sound?").

-A couple of dates in, and he's feeling more confident, which reflects in his now far more self-assured demeanor and smooth language. He's a silver-tongued devil, after all, and he has to live up to his name.

-If all goes well, after about a month, he realizes he wants you to be his partner. He, once again, gets Charlie's permission and brainstorms with some of your friends about how to pop the question. He invites you to his tower, where he's prepared a handmade dinner with candles and soft music in the background. Not only does he feel better about himself, but he gets to talk with you for extended periods of time, your eyes alight and grin large. He loves it; he can feel the thought and effort you put in for him and feels known and loved.

- He’s kinda clingy; he likes being around you as often as possible and gets nervous if you're gone too long; if you leave for more than a day, he's like a koala when you return. It's comforting to him to know where you are, but it’s even more comforting when you tell him how much you love him before you go. His self-esteem isn't at a record low, but it certainly isn't high, and he has huge abandonment issues. Every once in a while, because of this, he'll grow distant; his thoughts of being undeserving or theories about how you're going to leave him become too much, and he semi-subconsciously pulls away to protect himself. Be patient with him during these times; show him how much you care and how you would never leave. Tell him you love him as he is. The first time you say so, he'll cry in your arms and snuggle you for hours.

-He'll become less clingy and insecure as your relationship goes on, but will always rather be with you than alone.

- He's majorly protective. He knows what it's like in Hell, and he knows that by dating you, he's put a target on your back, which only adds to your lack of safety. He will pull all the strings he has in order to keep you safe, whether that means accompanying you when you're out and about, actively keeping you away from overlords, or tracking your phone without your knowledge. He feels bad about some of his less savory means of protection, but not bad enough to stop. The thought of your death haunts him too much to let you be.

-Similarly, though he won't ever admit it, your redemption keeps him up at night. If you're redeemed and go up to heaven, he can't see you anymore — maybe ever. He knows you want to better yourself and tries his best to support you in your improvement, but sometimes his fear gets to be too much. In those moments, he has to spend some time alone before he tries to sabotage your progress in any way — any more than he already has.

-It's hard to tell what his love language is because he uses all of them. He wants to spend time with you (though he will give you a break if you need one; he understands needing to be alone, even if it makes him nervous), give you gifts, be touchy, do things for you, and tell you how wonderful he thinks you are. He wants you to know just how much he cares in every way he can and will be receptive to any form of love in return.

-He doesn't use as many pet names as some of the rest of the cast would, but he does use them! He likes calling you sweetheart and angel-eyes the most.

-Overall, he has a lot of insecurities and mental health problems to work through, but tries his best to be the best partner he can be for you. It's hard work to improve himself, but if you'll have him, he'll stay by your side forever.

AGAIN THIS IS SET IN MY AU!!! MY AU IS PRETTY DETAILED AND HAS AN OVERARCHING STORYLINE WITH PRE-ESTABLISHED FRIENDSHIPS, SETTINGS, JOBS, CHARACTER ARCS AND WHATNOT....... so :3 yeah.

Tim and Brian probably don't do much. They'll totally grab some chocolates/candy and eat it, but just cuz its there, not as a gift. if they had a partner, they'd just go get some dinner.. flowers, basic stuff. put on an unironed button up and pick their partner up LOL.

toby might do something depending on where he is in the story. early on, he is not doing SHIIIIT. deep into his friendship with nina(who opens up a lot of his emotional vulnerabilities n stuff), he might feel a little inclined to pick up some flowers for some of the girls in his life (nina, clocky, kate, lazari) just cuz he used to do something small for his sister/mom when he was younger (cuz frank never did shit). if he had a partner, he'd def wanna do jewelry and classic flowers. he likes necklaces and rings and piercings and stuff, doesnt wear them much cuz they get in the way, but likes seeing people wear stuff he got. he's the type to make them turn around so he could put the necklace on them, but if they even slightly laugh at him trying to be sweet, he's getting mad HAHA. nina. ok come on. lets be serious. its nina. she's gonna buy everyone(as in toby, clocky, kate, jane, liu) one expensive gift (cologne, watches, shoes, jewelry, makeup) and then throw together mini bouquets, notes, and probably shop lift other smaller stuff cuz 'IM BROKE I SPENT TOO MUCH I HAVE TO' LOLLL.. she's the type to literally decorate her house for it, putting up some of clocky's more romantic paintings (cuz she has a collection of clocky's work), setting out heart-shaped coasters, bringing out heart shaped pillows.... honestly she probably already had those.... she'd absolutely plan galentines dinner for her friends, bake cookies, everything. if she had a partner, it would be really similar. she likes to spoil people, gift giving and acts of service are her ways of showing love - buuuut she does want to be spoiled in return, so physical affection and quality time is what she wants to receive. she wants to be treated like a princess, be picked up, have her doors opened for her, told she looks beautiful, etc.

jack is even less likely to do something than toby. before the sacrifice, he'd grab a cheap bag of individually wrapped chocolates and give them to people he knew around campus. i could see him buying the same chocolates and leaving it in his cabin. telling whoever visits him to take some. nina would leave him some flowers too(say its also from toby) and he'd be really grateful, cuz she'd be very sure to get him whatever he thinks smells the nice. that way he can still appreciate it. if he had a partner, YOU KNOW HE'S COOKING THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DINNER AT HOME. he's cleaning up, very awkwardly trying to dress nice. black button up, slacks, slick his hair back(or he'd just do whatever his partner says looks best, not too concerned with his own preference). he'd feel sooo fucking embarrassed and very nervous but he just wants to make it special. he'd write a long love letter, too

I also feel like Kyle isn't a "good" texter and is another one who prefers calling or facetime. However unlike Stan who just can't text for his life, Kyle just likes seeing your face.

Loves study dates, it's like his go to type of date. Even if it's not for the same class, just really likes studying with you. I can also see him "teaching" you what he's studying to help him learn better, this works especially well if it's about a class you're not taking.

Another guy who isn't a big fan on pda, might throw an arm over your shoulder when walking in the hallways to just have you close by him but don't really expect any affection in school.

Because of that one basketball episode (and how often the boys play basketball throughout the seasons at the park), Kyle is definitely on the basketball team and like Stan, has given you his jersey. He gets all red and proud if he sees you wearing it at his games.

Jealousy is rough with him. He often gets jealous and it stems primarily from his own insecurities, not because he doesn't trust you. He 100% does trust you, but the fact he's never had a full on official relationship kind of worries him that you'll realize he isn't the type of guy to be a boyfriend and that freaks him out so he just gets jealous at guys who spend too much time with you.

Reassuring him with cuddles or quality time or just being WITH him let's him know you aren't going anywhere.

Meeting his parents is HUGE to him. Family means a lot for Kyle, this is mainly targeted towards his mom and his brother.

His mother honestly make take time to get to liking you. She may initially think you're not good enough for Kyle or you're a hinderance for him but she comes around QUICKLY once she realizes how happy Kyle is with you and really that's all the confirmation she needs to know you're a good person for him.

Wasn't a whole lot of preplanning when he asked you out. Honestly he just goes for it.

Wasn't a big spectacle when he asked you out. Was sort've nonchalant about it but in a suave way (Stan wishes he could be like this).

Definitely geeked about it when alone in his room though. Karen walked by his room seeing him dance around and knew that you said yes. (Kenny has most definitely raved about you to Karen).

Considering his family's income he probably is the type to just take you out on a naturistic date. Like walking in the park, maybe a small picnic, nothing fancy or extravagant, but domestic and homey.

Compared to the other two, Kenny is HUGE on pda. Hand holding, kisses, bear hugs, etc. he has made that school KNOW you guys are together, from day one.

His eyes are on you the second you step into the room and they are not off of you until he cannot physically see you anymore. You are like the light of his world.

I feel as if late night drives with him are another type of date for you two. He's fixed up that beat up truck in his yard and then just drives you to a special spot he knows on a cliff overlooking South Park and you guys just hang out up there for hours, talking about whatever comes to mind. Accept him and he's showing you off immediately to his friends. (Cue in Cartman who actually is just shocked, like... flabbergasted).

He goes all out for your guys' dates. Dinner, park/walk, full on research mode on how to have the world's most perfect date.

Gets grounded because he walked you home and now he walked into his own house late (I hate his parents).

Does not blame you!! Blames himself for not rushing home :(, tell him it wasn't his fault either.

Gets nervous with pda but loves it!! He's so willing to kiss you or hold hands, you may have to initiate it though, he doesn't want to screw up so he's incredibly awkward the first few times you do any sort of pda.

At carnivals he tries and wins you any stuffed animal he sees but in the end he fails at the rigged carnival games, you may have to drag him away or he'll be in debt from trying to win you things.

Buys things for you as gifts that remind him of you. Like he may just be window shopping or with his mom helping her out as she shops and he sees something on a shelf and immediately it makes him think of you so he HAS to get it.

Makes you things too, (y'all remember that episode where he made paper cutouts for stan's gang? yeah i do), like has made birthday cards, holiday cards, etc completely by hand for you. Made you a paper cut out of the two of you guys holding hands.

When he finally brings you around his parents his parents are also in disbelief. Now that they know he's dating, they're a bit more lenient on his groundings (still hate his parents).

Likes to fall asleep on call with you, you guys gave a routine that at 9pm if you guys are both home, you call each other to just fall asleep, you may not even talk once the call starts, just sleep.

OKAY SO..

— he does that thing where he carries his kiddos under his arms. just holding them under each arm horizontally. they giggle and squeal bc it feels like they're flying. and he carries them around so effortlessly 

— when he takes them out he says "alright, now what do we say to mummy?" and it's to hint the kids to say bye and how they love you 

— he does this thing where he bops them on the head (lightly and playfully!!!!!) when he walks past them when they're playing or watching tv or drawing

— when they greet him when he returns home, they hold either one of his legs and look up at him, all cute toothy grins and you hug and kiss him. so it's kinda like a group hug, but not, but kinda, but not. they're hugging his legs and he's hugging you and it's all just really sweet and homely and cute

— he doesn't like the idea of them respecting him more just bc he's dad, so he has rules in the house to make sure that doesn't happen. so like how they might not listen to you but will to him, that sorta thing

— I feel like he's the 'this generational trauma ends with me' type, so he tries to be like the dad he never had. he wants his house to be a home and a place of comfort and refuge

— I do feel like he's a family man, so you'd both be a team for raising your kids. everything done equally and fairly

— maybe im projecting a bit for all of these lmao, but he doesn't smoke or drink around the kids. for smoking, he makes sure there's more than enough distance and drinking is only done when they're in bed or when they're at a family member's house (but time to time he has a glass of wine or whiskey or beer with dinner) also any disagreements between you are done civilly and any actual arguments are saved until you're alone (well maybe that steering too far away from his character??? I just like to think that he had counselling for his anger before the kids were born bc he didn't want to mess them up) also that being said, he tries not to raise his voices around them 

— I feel like he's way too overprotective, and you often have to tell him to reign it in. he just gets too scared of something happening to his family. and he's just overcautious about the silliest things

— he frequently asks if he's a good dad and follows it with "I don't wanna be like my old man" and then you reassure him by saying how he's questioning proves that he cares and is a good dad (he's also a great dad regardless)

— maybe he's joined a dad group page on facebook ????? he just wants to make sure he's doing a good job. they exchange tips and tricks and there's been talks about all meeting up ???? just the idea is real cute to me

— when he tells the kids he's going away for work, the kids run to collect their suitcases. and they throw toys and teddies in there bc they want to go with him

— sometimes if the trip is too far away/ for too long, he'll book you and the kids a hotel room in the same city so that he can see you whenever. you get to have a mini holiday and you all get to be near each other

— the kids love uncle lem, that's a given !!

VII THE CHARIOT

You felt your heart beating rapidly as you tried to take in breaths. Your muscles were aching but you wanted to keep going. “Alright guys! We're done for the day.” The dance teacher called out to all of you. 

As the others were getting ready to leave the studio and enjoy some dinner, you stayed behind to drink a bit of water. While they had all made their way out, you were left in the room alone with one other. 

“(Y/N)?” Jeongin called out to you. “Do you wanna go out to eat?” He asked. 

You had gotten close to the youngest of the group because of the way he seemed to hold himself. He was a shy boy at first but once you got to know he was such a joy to be around. He might not be a sunshine like Felix was but I.N had his own light that brought everyone in. 

He called for your attention. He wanted it in the way he walked but once he had it he acted as though he didn’t need it. It made you laugh at how he made people think he was an innocent boy when really he knew how to get people to like him without trying. 

“I'll eat later, Innie.” You smiled at him. “Imma try to get some of the routine down better.”

“Don't push yourself.” You almost cooed at his frown. 

“I won't.” You got up, bounding over to him. “I know better.” 

When you turned to get to the stereo, you noticed he was putting down his things and stretching for a moment. “What are you doing?” You asked him. 

“I'm going to stay and help you.” His smile made your heart flutter. “Nothing wrong with a little bit of extra practice.”

“You don't have to.” You told him. 

“It's okay.” He shrugged. “Besides, I want to go out with you anyways.”

You laughed a little as you became flustered. “Okay.” You looked down to the floor with a smile. 

And so you and I.N danced for another hour laughing as you guys spent a good while just goofing off. It made the whole practice better–being able to laugh things off with him. You had always liked the way he sang. The classes you took with him for vocal lessons had you watching him in awe. And watching him dance honestly made you feel heated. But that’s how you felt about all of the boys. 

“That's enough for the day.” You grinned, leaning over the panting boy. “We can go to eat.”

After getting showered and meeting up in the lobby of JYP, you both made your way down to a small restaurant that was open. It was a nice thing and you were glad he had waited for you to finish. You like it better when you ate with other people. You were excited how dorm life would  be like. 

“You're really into this.” Jeongin began. “I like that about you. You have so much motivation for this whole thing it's hard to keep up with you.”

“I try not to go too hard.” You told him, taking some kimchi. “It sucks to burn yourself out.”

“There are a lot of people who do that.” I.N nodded to himself. “Chan Hyung said it when he was a trainee they did that a lot.”

“Yeah, I don't want to end up like those people.” You smiled softly. “But honestly doing this means I'm ready for what's to come. I know if I keep at it things will go my way in the end.” You looked up at him, grinning. “Gotta keep a positive mind over it.”

“Like me staying with you to go out to eat?” He asked with a teasing smile.

“You really wanted me to?” You raised a brow.

“You're pretty cool.” He shrugged. “Almost as cool as Hyunjin.”

Hwang Hyunjin the boy who made everyone swoon with his good looks. You wished you could reach his level of attractiveness. Most of you all had a crush on him the day you met. But I.N was pretty obvious with it–at least his admiration for him. 

“No one is as cool as he is.” You laughed. 

“He's kind of dramatic though.” I.N added. 

“But very handsome.” You pointed out. 

“He is.” He sighed deeply, nodding along with your statement. 

Hyunjin might have been a handsome boy, but your type were the ones who had braces and the youngest of the groups. 

You suddenly grinned, reaching over to poke his forehead lightly. “You are too!” You giggled. “I think you're very adorable.”

“I am not!” He whined, jokingly rubbing at the spot you poked. 

“Yes you are!” You continued. “You can call yourself whatever you want but to me you are super cute and adorable.” You sat back down in your seat, expression turning soft. 

“I like that about you.” You admitted. 

His cheeks turned bright red causing you to smile. You had a long road ahead of you but you were glad to have the boys along your side. And you couldn’t help but to have a crush on one of them. 

“I'll show you!” He whined.

“I'm excited for it!”

In addition to the walking stuff in the last episode of my personal weatherman, I was rewatching the earlier episodes today and paying more attention to the scenes rather than the subtitles (it's so easy to miss stuff when you have to read lol) and it really struck me how many little moments there are that show how much Segasaki cares and loves Yoh and how easily Yoh either doesn't notice or misinterprets Segasaki's actions because, like you said, he needs those words. Obviously it's also because they're in a non conventional relationship dynamic that requires communication where there is very little but I think this last episode showed that even before they entered this relationship, Yoh was thrown off by Segasaki bc Yoh needs words and Segasaki is all about actions. Anyway, back to little moments and how they interpret them differently. One of the things that stuck out to me the most was the dinner scenes in the first episode when Segasaki asks for sauce. Obviously in the first one he had called the food bland, which he probably thought as just teasing but Yoh likely took as an insult to him personally. Then when he has Yoh give him the sauce in the first dinner he also grabs Yoh's hand and smiles at him. Segasaki thinks he's flirting, Yoh I don't think registers that. Then at the second dinner when Yoh reaches for the sauce while sitting and can't reach it, Segasaki is clearly trying to suppress laughter. Segasaki just thinks Yoh is cute, but Yoh probably thinks Segasaki is laughing at him in a mocking way. There's so much more I could gush about but those moments just really stuck out to me! Shout out to the actors because you can really tell how much thought they put into how their characters would act and react in certain situations and they've pulled it off beautifully.

It's literally just about the struggles of using words and what happens when that means insecurities so deep that they won't go anywhere without the right reassurance.

Yoh desperately wants to be loved by Segasaki but simply cannot believe it or face it as a concept in and of itself. He cannot. He loves Segasaki so much it overwhelms him but all he sees it the Cool Person he met, the one that everyone was friends with while he was alone and while even his friends mocked him for staring.

And Segasaki thinks he's being obvious. He loves Yoh so much that he just plain doesn't see Yoh's insecurities because he sees no reason for him to be insecure. There's nothing to be insecure about. Yoh is the most important in his life by a landslide, no one else matters, no else is even there.

Segasaki sees everything Yoh does as cute but every time he thinks Yoh is cute Yoh thinks he's mocking him. Because Yoh is deeply insecure. So he cannot see Segasaki's love for what it is because all he sees is the people who've mocked him in the past.

It's obvious that Segasaki has never used words as his primary form of communication while Yoh might be more nervous about using his words but he thinks in words. He thinks all the time. He is an overthinker and he does not stop without a good reason.

Watching everyone around him try to reassure him that Segasaki loves him while Yoh desperately finds reasons that he couldn't possibly love him because he is so desperately afraid of loving him more than he is loved... which is impossible because he is the literal focus of Segaskai's entire life.

It's so well done and the actors are absolutely brilliant. Such a good show.

(Between this and My Beautiful Man, it appears that 'Japanese BL about men who can't communicate and still get into BDSM relationships regardless' might be my favorite genre.)

I had all these plans to finish a bunch of writing and then BAM Season 2 started with Lesson 21 and I got supremely distracted. I wasn't expecting it to come out so soon?!? I really thought there would be more time in between seasons. But I am not complaining!

At this point, I feel weird if I don't write a post about the lesson, so here I am. I swear I'll get back to writing fics after this lol.

Okay so we've got the founding of RAD, MC and Solomon losing their magic, and characters acting weird.

The loss of MC's magic is pretty obvious and easy to understand. Like it works sometimes, but it doesn't at other times. (Though I have to say here that if the brothers asked me to open a jar with magic, I would laugh at them. I've never met a jar I couldn't open. It's called hot water. BUT ANYWAY) And obviously when they do use their magic, it's not as strong as it used to be. Solomon says he's having the same issue. He obviously notices it when he banishes the hellfire salamander, though if you ask him about it, he just says it's nothing. Which is funny because then he tells you all about his problem with it later when you're making dinner. I swear I lose my mind every time they use that clown music in the story.

Anyway, the most interesting part of this to me was when Solomon said these things:

At first I was like, is that what's happening? They're making it so that MC can't go back? Isn't that what we are all dreading?!

But then if you say you don't think you'll do it in time he says this:

Okay?? So should I be concerned or not?! I don't want to get stuck in the past, I want them to bring us back to the present or maybe merge the timelines or something?! I dunno, but I really can't figure out how they're going to wrap this up in a way that works. Unless they do what happened last time MC went to the past and erase everyone's memories. Which was something Michael did...

But overall, this situation seems pretty cut and dry. Gotta get those pacts, yo.

Mammon, on the other hand...

He seems to be going through something, huh? The thing is I can't figure out what it is. Something is definitely up, but what? Also it kinda seems like Simeon might be involved in this somehow?

MC is hurt. Mammon wants them to pay for the ointment that will heal them. Simeon shows up and just does it himself.

MC finds the coin and gives it to Simeon. Mammon takes it for himself and Simeon's just like yeah okay that's fine.

Then in the HARD LESSON (SPOILERS) Simeon actually blesses Mammon with good luck before he goes out to look for the lost coin. Not to mention their whole conversation about the Celestial Realm and the hot cocoa... (END SPOILERS)

And MC is aware that Mammon is not acting normally. But Simeon seems to be his usual self? I'm just wondering if whatever is going on with Mammon, Simeon might be the one to help him somehow? It kinda seemed to me like Mammon was being more greedy than usual, like something going on with his sin?

But MC isn't the only one who's noticed something is up with Mammon.

What is going on with this guy? I mean, okay, not all of these were about Mammon, but I'm pretty sure most of them were.

Anyway, Lucifer does this thing where it's obvious he's thinking about something or he's worried about something, but he just doesn't say anything about it. It drives me crazy. I'm like listen here MC is right there! Talk to them!

Okay that's all I really had to say about the lesson and story stuff, but there are a few other things that I just loved.

SIMEON oh my gosh the way he swoops in and heals MC I was like yes, please heal me forever thank you.

His precious look of concern...

... and then this confident smile!? I just love him.

Also going grocery shopping with Lucifer and Beel in 21-A was just so sweet and domestic?! Neither of them could remember what any of their brothers wanted, they would have been totally useless without MC there rattling everything off. It was adorable, but also just soft times with Lucifer are always my favorite thing.

Yeah. Concerned about how you can bottle all your feelings and still be so hot.

Anyway!

Wherever they're going with this magic weakening thing better not result in MC stuck in the past forever. But I do hope we're getting some Mammon story now because I love him, too.

OURGHHH Yomi. Okay this is gonna be a lot but lets-a go yahoo

Alright first off, first impression of him.

His introduction was literally golden. From his and Martina's Akira reference to Yomi fake-sobbing before coldly ordering Seth to be executed. I was kicking my feet. He immediately shot to my top favorite (before being kicked down again by Yuma and Makoto) but I absolutely enjoyed what an evil little gremlin he was from the very beginning. Honestly, one of the best introductions of a villain I've ever seen.

Next, headcanons. I think he was a theatre kid in high school. I'm saying this from experience. Every theatre kid goes through a little phase where they're evil and flamboyant it comes with the title. Yomi's just went on a little too long, silly silly boy. OH and I think he has chew toys. Being evil is stressful he's gotta chew on smth or else he'll just take it out on an underling, yk?

As for complaints and praise... weeeell, I thought his takedown was a little... anti-climatic? Like on the one hand, I'm very happy for Martina to get to send him to jail. You go girl. But also, he just sorta... accepts being arrested? I wanted him to resist more. Kicking scratching and screaming, yk?? He did a little of that but not much. And I wish we'd seen him in the epilogue, maybe as a small little shot of him in jail being all pouty. As for praise, I really love how fun-to-hate he is. The game makes it very clear he's horrible and you can't really sympathize with him, but also, he's just so fun to watch. Like. What's wrong with him *twirls hair*

Favorite pairing, hmmmmmmmmmm. Initially it was Makoyomi, but rn it's a three-way tie between Makoyomi, Yomiakou, and Hellxander. These dynamics are all just... really fascinating in all honesty. I want to study them. I'm so glad this fandom enjoys toxic yaoi I think I would go insane if there wasn't a plethora of content for these weirdos.

And finally, my overall opinion. He's my wife. My evil scrunkly meow meow. I'm gonna put a collar on him and cook him a yummy dinner while he's chained to a chair. Also his English VA is amazing and did a wonderful job making Yomi iconic, I'm planning on playing Raincode again but with JP voices to compare. He's the silliest villain I've ever seen. They did a great job with his writing, I think. He just, immediately grabs you- and when you look deeper into him it's genuinely so interesting and fun.

OKAY NOW FOR SHIPS.

Yomi x Seth is definitely an interesting ship for me. I don't actively think about it but when I come across content of them, my brain goes "fuck yeah". Sadly their interactions don't give us much to go off of as much as other pairs, but it's always a joy to see.

Hellxander. My beloved. Finding Fake!Zilch in the factory and hearing him ramble about Yomi was eye opening. Kodaka did not need to have that in there but it's there and it's amazing. I wish Yomi had a line or something about Zilch, I want to know how he feels about the guy. Was it a parasocial type of thing??? Was Yomi leading him along??? Please Kodaka. Yomi DLC where we visit Kanai Ward and Yomi is doing community service and having flashbacks to his old gay lover Hitman and he cries in the rain "I hate that ugly bowl cut detective!!!!!!! Curse you Yuma the Kokohead!!!!!!!"

Fake!Zilch x Seth isn't something I've ever really thought about, but I can kinda see a dynamic there. Frail little guy x tough hitman? Yeah that's certainly a good dynamic. I just don't know if this particular case would really... grab me?

And Yomi x Fake!Zilch x Seth... yeah I think that's just torture for Seth. Which is fine I like torturing the guy. I can definitely see Yomi being like "lol that seth guy is soooo funny to torment" and zilch is like "do you want me to torment him director yomi. Anything for you director yomi" and Seth is like "can I please just do my job. Please. Please"

Harry Potter :

A really proud dad, no matter what his kids achieve even the smallest of things he's incredibly proud of them.

A very encouraging dad, he'll push his kids to do the things/fight for what they love and are passionate about.

He makes other Dads pale in comparison. 

He's very humble despite all his achievements and uses them to inspire his kids to be good wizards/witches.

He's a very present dad, he makes sure he's there for his kids every step of the way.

Often tells stories about his Hogwarts days and all the times he defeated Lord Voldemort because his kids begged him to.

He protects his family even if it means torture and death.

Ron Weasley :

He likes to eat - EVERYTHING. But makes sure to save his kids some and usually buys the best snacks.

He lets his kids win every time during board games or bets and even a round of quidditch.

Takes care of his kids when they're sick and lets them have some junk food, even if their other parent doesn't let them.

Takes out his kids for a dad and kid day out once in a while approximately every fortnight.

Takes a lot for him to get mad, and when he is mad it's just the silent treatment for a full day then back to normal tomorrow.

Get his kids their first pet when they're 11 years old and are all ready to go to Hogwarts as a present.

He has integrity.

Neville Longbottom :

He is a good listener.  He will listen and let his kids speak and give the best advice.

He is reliable.  You can count on him for anything and everything.

He loves gardening and tends your huge garden and probably has a greenhouse too.

Helps his kids with school work especially Herbology.

He reads story books to his kids during bedtime.

He is generous. Too generous. Many people can attest to this.

He's probably very affectionate toward his kids like hugs and pats on the back.

Draco Malfoy :

Probably spoil his kids and buys them anything they want no matter the price.

Become a better dad than his dad, because he wants his kids to feel loved and appreciated.

He tries to be as honest as he can toward his kids no matter what.

One of those dads that are fun to shop with because he has style and is actually helpful at giving fashion tips.

The type to enjoy a glass of wine for dinner.

Strict, but in the best way because he wants what's best for his kids.

Talks about his kids constantly at work, at dinners with friends or colleagues, and to anyone he can talk about this too.

Enjoys taking his family on expensive and lavish vacations.

Cedric Diggory :

He constantly checks up on his kids and asks how everything is going for them.

He's an amazing dad to his kids, but he has a soft spot for his grandkids.

He can fix anything that's broken like furniture, his kid's broken hearts during their first break up, and many more.

The type of dad that shows his partner (his kid's other parents) so much love and respect to give an example of what a good partner and a healthy relationship looks like.

The type of dad that adores and loves all animals.

Stuck up for his kids when they're in trouble with his partner.

A literal saint, because he's so kind and nice and just the best dad.

Oliver Wood :

He teaches his kids how to play quidditch and bond with them through it.

He is always willing to try new things with his kids to show examples of curiosity.

He never loses his temper in front of his kids, always keeping a calm face in front of them no matter how angry he is.

He's the type to carry his kids to their room after they'd fallen asleep on the couch.

He sacrificed a lot to give his family a comfortable life.

He gives his kids a chance to put forth their views and opinions no matter how much he disagrees with them.

He never hesitates to admit his mistakes and apologies to his kids not believing the stereotypes that parents/adults are always right.

Fred Weasley :

He is a good dancer.  He can cut a rug and you don't have to ask him twice to dance.

The type of dad that makes a cool handshake with his kids and shows it off as much as he can.

He teaches his kids how to Apparate carefully so they can pass their Apparating test.

A really brave dad.

He loves adventures and is a thrill seeker and brought up his kids to be the same.

A bit of an immature dad but is serious when people need him to be.

He makes funny faces to make his kids laugh until their stomach hurts.

George Weasley :

He tells funny jokes. Inappropriate jokes.  Silly jokes. Lots and lots of jokes.

Probably good at building things like cabinets, tables, chairs, and other things.

He's not just a dad he's also his kid's best friend.

Enjoys cold beer on occasion, especially watching a quidditch match.

He's extremely supportive of his kids no matter what they do and chooses in life.

Makes fun of his kids about crushes and early relationships that they had.

He is grateful for what he has in his life.

Blaise Zabini :

Reads the daily prophet like every morning with a cup of hot black coffee in hand.

Probably the most patient dad out of all the boys in here.

He probably cries at his kid's wedding, like an ugly cry out of happiness.

He's the type to like singing/karaoke.

He is not a quitter and he won't let you quit either.

He sends letters quite frequently to his kids while they're away in Hogwarts to keep in touch with them.

He's probably the type to be a good cook and knows what his kids love to eat.

He forgives easily and never holds grudges.

Send help (for I don't know how to bake)

sooo, just figured I'd make a post about some of the genshin guys who I think would attempt baking, and how that attempt might go i'm a sucker for baking dates, so i'm making it y'alls problem too haha

characters: diluc, kaeya, arataki itto, wanderer, childe my requests are open. i'm also open to chatting, if you don't feel comfortable sending in a request :3 warnings: no warnings that i'm aware of

Diluc

while he's not the best at baking, but he's good enough where you could leave him unsupervised in the kitchen with the recipe

it isn't hard to persuade adalade to allow the both of you to borrow the kitchen for an afternoon

she's aware that the two of you a proficient enough to not burn house down

you two kinda just bake whenever you guys feel like it, no need to have any sort of special occasion to do so

so, what do you two make? an apple pie

something simple, yet tastes so good when done right

the kitchen does end up getting a bit dirty because you two decided to throw flour at each other all in good fun, lol

since the two of you finish early, you decide to make some dinner as well

this was your idea, as you think it'd be a neat way to thank adalade for allowing you two to steal borrow the kitchen for a while

diluc finds himself frequently looking over at you, finding your focused expressions to be rather cute

when the two of you are close to finishing making everything, he can't help but to lean over and press a soft kiss to your cheek

'your so cute when your focused on a task' is the only answer your given when you ask him why he did that

Kaeya

kaeya absolutely loves baking, and is actually much better at it than you. you both are equally talented when it comes to decorating cakes n cookies n stuff

while you don't mind baking, you much prefer cooking. sweets aren't particularly your most favorite thing in the world

kaeya loves baking for special occasions the most. he loves being able to make a cake, a pie, or a plate of cookies, gift it to a friend or fellow knight, and watch how their face changes with the experience

he finds it kinda funny how sad some people get when it comes to eating a particularly intricately designed cake that the both of you worked really hard to make

usually there wasn't much resistance from them, after all. you have a kamera, and are able to immortalize the design forever

you often take the pictures as not only are your hands steadier, but the kamera is also yours. he'd feel awful if he accidentally messed the device up some how

one of the times you allowed him to learn how to use it, he really liked taking pictures of you

the best one had been of you gazing down at the cake that the two of you recently finished decorating

you hear the shutter go off and you turn to look at kaeya with a slightly puzzled expression

you grin at him, chuckling lightly as you lean forward and place a chaste kiss to his lips

Arataki Itto

this guy, this oni

he cannot cook and he cannot bake :(

he does, however, enjoy hanging out with you as you cook and bake away

he's a big fan of anything you decide to make

feel like baking a cake? cool, please let him have the first slice

feel like roasting up a chicken? save him a leg please!!

while he isn't capable of cooking/baking on his own, he is down for learning

don't be offended if he tries to put his own spin on your instructions, tho

the first thing he learns to do is successfully roast a lavender melon without burning it to a crisp

he has the biggest, brightest smile on his face anytime he manages to make something with minimal help from you

if he had a tail, it'd be wagging a million miles an hour oh no, he's taking off :0

his positivity is infectious, thats for sure

you often find yourself with a sore face from smiling and laughing for a while after the two of you part ways after your hangouts

Wanderer

he doesn't like sweets, so he doesn't even bother learning how to how to bake

he won't admit it, but he loves seeing the look of excitement on your face when he claims to have made far too much food for simply himself don't listen to his lies, he loves making sure your fed

when he realizes you enjoy sweets, he suddenly has an interest in baking. he claims to want to try one of all desserts in existence, just to see if he really doesn't like them

the liar literally just wants to be able to make your favorite foods

he's a gift giver at heart and what's more practical then food?

well... desserts aren't really practical

but you deserve a treat every now and then for all the stuff your helping him through

y'all literally live through an enemies to strangers to best friends arc loool, its all fun and games till someone catches feelings

you two are practically attached at the hip

that said, you don't enjoy cooking or baking w him because he's always flicking the dish water off his fingers at you

he doesn't do it often cuz you retaliate by biting him

there's nothing you do that he isn't at least somewhat aware of

he says take the food and you say have the spare room in my home

he actually got angry at you for that but stopped when he realized you literally weren't going to budge an inch

Childe/Tartaglia

this guy has a handful of siblings, so he obviously knows some dishes to cook or bake

that said, he isn't home often, and he doesn't really cook when he's not in snezhnaya

when you two aren't sparing with each other, nor busy with your other obligations, you teach him all you know about cooking and baking

and archons, do you know a lot

all your free time is generally geared towards practicing decorating cakes and trying to get the pie-crust leaves to look perfect before being baked

so to say your good at decorating your desserts would be an understatement

childe seems to pick up real fast, tho

which is cool... tho, his cursive could be a bit better

he genuinely enjoys hanging out with you to the point that he's showing up at your doorstep, ready to hang out, after pretty much all his missions

the problem? he's usually still bleeding and got blood and grime all over him

you simply huff and puff at him, but it doesn't take long for you to start cleaning up his wounds and making sure that their properly bandaged

soon after that, you tell childe that he should just keep spare clothes in the guest room of your home

its not like you use that room

and he basically lives here already, when he's not gone for months at a time wherever he goes

your aware of him being a harbinger, but he doesn't want to paint a metaphorical target on your back, so that's pretty much all you know
