“A Dance”

Mikes Dead x Reader

Based on that one Sonny with a Chance episode. If you know, you know ;)

You sat on the terrace of your apartment, your knees hugged to your chest.

“Hey,”

You turned to see Mike standing in the doorway.

“Oh, hey. I thought everyone had left. In fact, I thought you’d be one of the first to go.”

Mike laughed. “And that’s exactly why I needed to stay.”

“Well, I hate to say it, but you were right.” You let out a sigh. “This night was a mess.”

Mike shook his head and stepped out of the doorway. “Maybe not a total disaster. Come on,” he held his hand out to you.

You stared at it for a moment, hesitant.

“Come on,” he urged again.

You finally took his hand and he pulled you up from your seat as you looked at him confusedly.

“I know that you were hoping that this night ended with a dance with that special someone, but,” he took your hands. “I guess you’ll just have to settle for me.”

You smiled at him.

“You didn’t happen to watch Sonny With A Chance when you were a kid did you?” he asked.

“Yeah, why?”

He pulled a pair of earbuds out of his jacket pocket that were attached to his phone.

You grinned as he handed you one, sticking the other in his ear.

He pressed play on his phone and slow music started to play through the earbud.

You wrapped your arms around his neck, he put his hands on your waist, and the two of you swayed back and forth.

“This is nice,”

Mike grinned at you. “I have my moments.”

You suddenly felt the tiredness wash over you and you laid your head on his chest. “Thank you,”

“For what?”

“Everything. You’re always there for me when I need you. Like tonight. Like every night.”

You felt Mike’s chuckle from his chest. “Well, I guess you’re welcome.”

You lifted your head and looked him in the eyes. He stared back at you and you stopped swaying.

Before you knew it, the two of you were leaning in.

His hands moved from your waist to cup your cheeks as your’s moved from his neck to his chest.

You stopped inches from his lips, his breath was warm on your face as he waited for a sign of approval from you. You closed your eyes, heart hammering in your chest as you began to inch forward again.

You were centimeters away when-

“Hey, guys whatcha doin’?”

You yelped and jumped away from Mike, his earbud being ripped from your ear, as Kevin stood at the door cackling. Your face went red.

You glanced at Mike who had a pissed expression on his face.

“What the hell?”

Kevin stopped laughing and grinned. “Came back to tell you that some of us are going out to a club, but it seems that the two of you might have more fun here by yourselves.” He winked.

Mike blushed slightly as you avoided their eyes.

Kevin waved as he started towards the door of your apartment. “See ya later, man, oh, and it’s about time!”

You put your face in your hands as he shut the door, groaning. “That was so embarrassing.”

It was Mike’s turn to laugh now. “Well, as long as there are no more interruptions, do you mind if-”

“Oh, god, please do.”

Mike couldn’t have grinned any wider as he brought you into his arms again and pressed his lips to yours.

Can y’all PLEASE STOP tagging things that DON’T ASSOCIATE WITH MIKE WITH THESE TAGS IT’S ALREADY SMALL ENOUGH OF A GROUP ON HERE. I’M NOT LOOKING FOR THINGS WITH COLBY AND OTHERS SORRY. Unless he’s in the story I get that, but DON’T tag it with the ‘imagines’ or ‘x reader’ with Mikes name just because he’s in there when it’s an imagine/ x reader for someone else. All I find is stuff about Colby and the literal FEW with Mike. Now this has nothing to do with the fan base but I also hate how stuff for the IT movie comes up like OMG. Sorry bout this little rant I just wish there was more stuff that was actually Mike stuff.
