Had a couple of friends give me some random names to design cats off of, did these quick sketches and designs as a creative warm up for the day :) Names in order: Stonethroat, Minnowstream, Flashtooth. In order, their designs were inspired by a Columbian Wyandotte chicken (because they swallow stones sometimes), a Fathead Minnow (because minnow is in her name and I liked the dark side stripes they had), and a barracuda (I randomly pulled his name and went "oooh... barracuda." and got Heart stuck in my head, so.)

applenose / swanface - 💔 - i hate it

really, this is just...i hate what it became. applenose and swanface were good for each other, once upon a time, but things fell through and it became all about swanface supporting her, applenose really not functioning at all and being entirely dependent on swanface, and...with the way applenose became? willing to abandon her kits and family? swanface isn’t going to take well to her when she arrives in starclan, that’s for sure. i wish they had stayed sweet and pure always, and i miss old appleswan, but...

wigeonfur / sorreltail 💕 - i’m neutral to it

they’re cute, i’ll admit, however...i feel like i’m not sold on their dynamic. i want to see something more with it, rather than just watching wigeonfur settle down with the first cat to be nice to her and her kits. it could be interesting to see wigeonfur juggle multiple romances, i think, because she seems more the type than sorreltail...it’s got potential, but right now i’m not invested.

falconwing / berryclaw 💗 - i love it

okay, so...these two remind me of another fave threeclans ship. batcrow (which is funny considering berryclaw is crowstorm’s apprentice and falconwing is batstar’s). yeah, yeah i know, but listen. they’re the sort of pair that you know is essentially doomed...berryclaw’s not going to give up on her ambition to become leader, falconwing has owlheart in jaggedclan, everything is against them...and yet they pair so well together. falconwing opening up to berryclaw is genuinely believable to me because of just how amicable and charming berryclaw is, and i can totally see where berryclaw’s attraction towards falconwing comes from. they make sense, they’re super sweet together, and yet...it feels like it can’t last. that can’t dissuade me from rooting for them, though. 

hollyfur / minnowstream 💓 - i like it

if they were just a tiny bit more active, this could be bumped to a “love it” rating...they’re the sort of couple that’s just like, perfect for each other, sweet in every way, an ideal pair. i feel like i don’t need to see any conflict between them because there’s really nothing believable enough to make me think they would fight or argue or not fit together well at this point in their lives...i definitely love seeing how happy they make each other, and also? they would be great moms. get on that @ hollyminnow.

honeyflame / loonwind 💕 - i’m neutral to it

i feel like i’m going to get destroyed for this rating, but. listen. for as sweet as they are, seeing loonwind as the sort of cat to settle down and be the type of mate (and father figure) honeyflame needs is...hard for me. there’s a difference in maturity levels, i feel, or like...a difference in the way they carry themselves, in what they had hopes for in futures. i don’t doubt that loonwind cares for honeyflame and that she cares for him, but i can’t quite buy into the ending that would be ideal for them...settling down with kits, raising sootpaw, newtpaw, and wrenpaw...i think it would be really neat to see some conflict with loonwind, see him maybe decide to start a family and then get nervous about it all. it would definitely cause some conflict considering honeyflame’s past relationships, and overall i feel like it would be true to loonwind’s character...ANYWAY. point is, they’re sweet, yeah, but i feel like there’s a subtle compatibility issue when it comes to what they want in the future/out of their lives.

Hmm.Honestly I am not sure, mostly because I can’t remember anything about their interactions because well I cant remember anything and you all know this. That said honestly I do think if they had more time and more interactions I could end up seeing Doveheart falling for her. Now that Doveheart has worked through many of her self worth issues and her depression I can see her finally being in the right mindset to have a real relationship with someone. However with how far Minnow/Holly has come I dont think Dove would try to get between that. As long as her dear friend is happy she will be happy.

Doodled a little family from my fanclan! On top line are the mom and dad Primrose and Grey-eye, and on the bottom row there's Briarlight, Minnowstream, Aspenfall, Smokepool and Fogstorm. One big litter!

Briarlight and Minnowstream are the eldest of the litter and also the two she-cats, while Aspenfall, Smokepool and Fogstorm are all toms and are generally more timid than their older sisters. They’re all the same age since they’re from the same litter but there’s definitely always arguing going on about who is actually older than who.

FEATHER MIST 002 PLS

How I feel about this character:

I really really love Feather Mist! I think she’s a very sweet and compassionate character and is made all the more real by her occasional behind the scenes moments of melancholy and I can relate to the feelings of out of place-ness in relation to her role in the tribe.

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

Feather Mist and Kinktail—rasing kids together, coffee shop au, slowburn, domestic, 100k words

Feather Mist and Plum Whisker—it has sort of an opposites, hot and cold, brash and kind appeal to it!

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Look I know we all dream of Maya rights, but I think Tiger Breeze would be a much better friend to Feather Mist than a mate. I feel like Tiger Breeze could really help Feather Mist feel more steady in her place in the tribe as well as the fact that they both show how one doesn’t need to have kits to be a good and caring guardian to them. Idk I just feel like they’d be really good friends!

My unpopular opinion about this character:

As stated briefly above, I think it’d be really interesting if Feather Mist kept the whole doesn’t-need-to-have-kits-to-be-a-good-spring-cat thing! Of course I would LOVE little featherkits but I just feel like that would be a neat aspect of her character if it stayed that way!

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

I really really wish Ash Wing had been able to have survived/had an rper because I really would have liked to have seen their interactions! I think maybe I’d just like a Feather Mist update where she revisits some old memories of her family that are set up as a really nostalgic way-back-when-we-were-a-happy-family kind of thing but rping doesn’t really work that way and that would be asking a lot! Maybe I’d just like a written out novella of those times in her life dggshshjsgs

my OTP:

I don’t think I’ve seen/have probably glossed over any Feather Mist/Kinktail interactions but I think they would go really well together! I feel like Feather Mist could really help Kinktail when it comes to wrangling her kits and etching a role for herself in the tribe, as well as relate to missing her original home and family.

My crossover ship:

Minnowstream and Feather Mist. Admittedly I know exactly nothing about the former BUT they are both pretty and gray so.

A headcanon fact:

I’d like to think that when they were little kits or to-be’s, Feather would sneeze a lot while eating birds because of all the downy feathers and Ash would tease her incessantly about it. This led to Ash eventually ‘innocently’ mentioning to Feather how she thought it’d be really cool if Feather was the next spring heir so that she could be called Feather Breeze (but it was really so that Ash could fall her Feather Sneeze)
