I’m willing to bet there isn’t a single puzzle manufacturer who in the autumn of 2019 was thinking “I’m going to completely sell out of my stock in March 2020.”⁣ ⁣ Earlier this week my parents decided doing a jigsaw puzzle might be a nice way to pass the time in isolation. Content is everywhere! You don't have to think too much about where to find them. Even the mundane can be turned into something valuable. Make it yours! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How? Let's dig deeper into that by getting into some examples I personally used - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Saw a tree bark while walking to the park --> went home and lettered a wood-inspired E for my compilation ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. I admire @laurenastondesigns giant chunky knits ---> so I lettered a yarn inspired letter E! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Walked by the pool and almost tripped because of rocks ---> created some rock-inspired E ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Why E? No specific reason other than it was the letter compilation I was working on at the time. I was feeling stuck and can't move forward so I stopped and waited for more ideas. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you keep overthinking, you'll eventually get exhausted. Sometimes, it's better to just stop and pause and do something else. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You'll be amazed by the new ideas you'll come up with when you take time to have breaks too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Look at other things to do. Pay attention to your surroundings. Took me a while to finally understand how to create content using inspiration from my daily life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It doesn't happen fast but if you start noticing things, make sure to take notes. An unwritten idea is a forgotten idea. So write them down. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finally, relate them to whatever it is you're working on. Sometimes it might work and sometimes it won't but when you practice doing it, it becomes easier and in time, it's going to be a natural thing for you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hope this helps! It's no secret that purple is my favorite color... and April just screams purple! 💜 So when I was thinking about a flower I wanted to illustrate for the month, I had so many options to choose from. I decided that the liliko'i blossoms (passion fruit flower) would be a good choice. It blooms in March and April usually and the flowers only bloom for 12-24 hours before closing. There's nothing worse than spending a couple of hours filming a video and looking at the replay only to discover there's a smudge on the lens. My smartphone will actually warn me if the lens is dirty but not all cameras do that. Whether you're taking photos or shooting a video, get in the habit of cleaning the lens first. It will save you a lot of frustration. September was my most profitable month since I started coaching and teaching yoga, since I left my 9-5. There were so many ups and downs, and even more moments of questioning myself, I spent way more money than I felt comfortable spending (and more than I could afford), I spend countless hours on projects that didn’t always produce the results that I was aiming for. My kids and husband pay a price BUT it is all so worth it! When I summarized my month, my mind was trying to steal this joy away from me, by saying that I got lucky for one month that I will not be able to duplicate let alone surpass my success...
