Just putting this out here, but I genuinely find it very aesthetically pleasing the way you draw. From the ink stylization to the painterly color placement that gives it a very organic and unique feel. You have a really good eye for color composition in conjunction from that and it's something that I definitely admire about your work. I have some very fav artists of tumblr, and I wanna ask them something important in a post, but I don’t want to bug them because I know they are all very busy working on such amazing works for us readers. But I’m gonna give it a shot and I SINCERELY apologize for bothering you awesome people! But how do you guys stay motivated with drawing when you finish something and feel burned out? Do you guys get burned out RIGHT after a project (like one page or smthn) or do you guys last longer? Made another Monkie Kid screenshot redraw of Macaque from S3/E3 “The Winning Side.“ I added the scar, eye glow, and six ears for fun and to enhance the drawing. Took me 4:51 hours long for this screenshot redraw, and I love how it turned out in the end! <3

(I am aware of the subtitle, but I did it because I wanted to add an anime style to it.)

He grits his teeth through the agony, fighting his body to regain any semblance of control over it, but the panic disorients him. It's no fight. Just pure adrenal terror as the single well of power that was once his alone to draw from now drags him down to drown him. His throat can only gurgle. He reaches out again, grasping at nothing. But this time around, Wukong grabs his hand.

Edit: I would like to mention that I used some artist as reference and some screenshots of the show for the study of the character. I’m bad at expressions and I got references for the face by the artist @munkiey, they are a great artist.

I don’t like posting art I don’t personally like how it turns out, but I thought best to post my progress on my study of character. Macaque is especially hard with his mug factual experience that’s always on his face, hope you like it lol
