"I can't remember if I'm remembering things wrong or what, but i feel like I dreamed or thought VERY vividly that Henry ended up becoming like a famous music artist (specifically with a guitar or something along the lines of that) as like a mini AU that I just thought of and never did anything with."

In the article that came out this morning about Andrew Cushin's album, Pete Doherty was quoted being defensive about his decision to collaborate with Louis, saying, “Look at some of the great labels, look at The Sex Pistols with Malcolm McLaren getting together with Richard Branson. Over the years, labels’ main aim was to be a springboard for their artists to get as many people to hear the music they believe in. Whatever that takes – if that means having a major label take you up the alley for five minutes I will do that for my artists any day of the week.” Initially this just pissed me off (and it still does) but the more I thought about the more fascinating it is actually. There's never been any question that 78 Productions' role in co-releasing Andrew Cushin's album is primarily financial, and I'd say this confirms that, but he's saying more than that; he's saying that Louis and his label, that has never had a single release before now, offer more than just cash, that it is on par with Virgin Records in its infancy because of the position and reach Louis has in the industry... and he can be as sour as he wants about it, that's a hell of an admission and not a position you just automatically hold by being a former boyband member. We already know this but that doesn't mean I don't love it when people say it out loud!

Something I loved about heartstopper 2 is how it was repeatedly made clear that Nick doesn't owe anyone a coming out.
QUEER PEOPLE DON'T OWE ANYONE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THEM BEING QUEER
I repeat
NO QUEER PERSON OWES IT TO YOU TO TELL YOU ABOUT THEIR QUEERNESS
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU ARE
We either invite you in or we don't.

I can't with these people reuploading my music to youtube from bandcamp. Not only do they get all the views despite me having a fucking channel where you can listen to all the music, but also they gather furries that keep saying i'm a lapfox immitation at my raggacore/breakcore stuff, as the other 90% of my music goes ignored.
Repeat after me: emma lapfoxtrax did not invent raggacore. emma lapfoxtrax did not invent breakcore. emma lapfoxtrax did not invent having many musical names. if i call another musician a lapfox clone i will hit myself in the teeth.

it's wild to fall in love with the work of niche authors and artists who post online cause like. a lot of the time i'll look these people up and they have less than 2k followers on twitter. which in turn means that the relationship between us can EASILY stop being parasocial. like i can reach out to these people as a peer in social media DMs like "hey, your short story in X anthology is still haunting me" or "hey, this one podcast episode was brilliant and meant a lot to me" or "hey, i absolutely LOVED your take on X myth, have you published any other riffs on irish mythology??" and there's like a 98% chance that they will not only see it but Also respond. and that in turn we could become acquaintances and even possibly FRIENDS, because we already have shared common ground in our niche interests.
and this fucking Terrifies me.
i've had So Many positive online interactions with creators whose work i dearly dearly love, & i know that online creators love to get feedback (because i am one), & i know that it's exciting to talk to people who share your specific interest in horror or myth or linguistics etc, & i STILL have an immediate panic spiral every time an author or artist replies to..... like..... my offhand youtube comments.

something a lot of band fanbases on tumblr do that really irritates me is that they'll post a photo no ones ever seen before with no context and then caption it with a woefully unfunny one liner and then when you ask them the context of the photo 6 times out of 10 they will not answer or not give you a source for the photo. and like they assume everyone knows waht the photo is from already. andif you dont then youre just an idiot i guess. info sharing in band fandoms in general has always been kind of an enemy to me. like am i crazy or do so many fans leave other fans in the dark about stuff and gatekeep things like photos or interviews or information in general. its so odd. maybe i am crazy. i have insecurity issues so maybe im imagining things. maybe im just projecting or something. i dont know. not sure
