I’m doing an archive/drafts cleanout and some blog upkeep this week, including catching up on ao3 comments and Tumblr replies, starting to catch up on fic reading, and making an about page for this blog, which may have started out as a sideblog but ended up being the blog I use the most these days now that I’ve completely swan-dived into DSC fandom.

In addition to my 20+ fic WIPs, like most of us, at any given time I have a few million projects/posts in varying stages stored in my head and in my drafts--from “hey you know what would be fun” ideas in the back of my mind to actually-planned-out projects to actual existing drafts--and am permanently resentful of the limits imposed on me by the number of hours in the day. ;D So, I’m not even going to try to list all my fandom to-dos, but here are a few of the things I’m going to be trying to finish over the first couple weeks of the new year (I’m definitely planning to work on other projects as well this month, but these are the defined plans):

-Finish catching up on ao3 comment replies, Tumblr replies, etc!

-Finish the Ash Tyler essay I’ve had in my drafts for months--I’m probably going to do something a bit shorter and simpler than what I was originally planning, but I want to gather my thoughts all in one place and have something I can just pointedly reblog when/if Season 2 continues to handle his trauma poorly.

-Finish and post the concluding chapter of Almost Autumn!

-I realized when looking back over my archive that I totally dropped the photocap series of Among The Great Apes With Michelle Yeoh I started earlier this last year, so I’ll definitely be starting that up again!

-This post is more of a blog organization/to-do list than a proper sentimental New Year’s post, so you better believe there will be (at least) one much sappier post about the last year at some point ;)

And I have a lot of fic by you amazing people to catch up on reading, so that will probably be a to-do that extends well into 2019! :)

When I was going through my archive, I also found the first ever post I made on this blog (as opposed to the first post I made on my old blog about DSC, because you better believe I started writing DSC fic back when the trailers dropped.) It’s from liveblogging the pilot:
