Genshin boys as uni students + content creators 🎧🎬🗯 (Sumeru edition) headcanons!
— this took a while to post because I saved the draft the moment my wifi cut off and I had to rewrite the whole thing.
— these are my personal headcanons, you may feel free to disagree with me ! little wonky when it comes to talking about what they do in uni because a high school student wrote this 🔥
Al Haitham ★ Law Major + Day in My Life
As much as I want to assign him to being a literature major, I believe he would choose law over it because he believes in practicality and plans WAY ahead into the future. It's not that he was forced into it, he chose it himself to survive in society and he's somewhat fine with that.
He's passionate about his course to a certain/decent degree but I image it's not even measurable to his interest in books & analyzing literature.
Naturally excels in his class and is commended for majority of his thesis papers and projects.
Adding to the last bullet: Whenever the professor assigns those scenario based requirements, the teacher will always get shocked from reading his works because he finds the most unexpected ways (and uses the most unexpected constitutional statements) to answer the question and somehow they always turn up reasonable.
In terms of content creating, he doesn't upload on a schedule but gets irked when the date between today and his last upload is a little too far so he uploads one when he feels today is gonna be a productive one.
Doesn't talk a lot in videos and just shows himself going about his business (mostly studying in the silence of the library or in the bustling environment of the nearest cafe, he still manages to concentrate either way)
When he reads new books with really good plots, he somehow incorporates them into short videos along with his usual routine and talks about what he thinks of it so far (which prompted a few not so pleasant comments on some of his videos because of his unbiased opinion)
Absolutely despises bullshit and problematic authors and problematic plot points and he makes no effort to hide that.
He likes silence. he finds the silence of his room with only the sound of his mouse and keyboard clicking and clacking as he edits his videos. he finds both the lack of sound and the activity very theraputic.
Posts study with me videos — believes in the power of the body doubling study method and it's a win-win for both him and his followers.
Examples of his videos would be something like what saranghoe or kai notebook would post on their channels (check them out! they're so cool omg)
Kaveh ★ Architecture Major + GRWMs & DIML
Be honest were you really expecting another major for him...
Okay, maybe he would fit as a fashion/art student.
If it's not obvious enough, his blueprints and structure plans are immaculate. Whatever the prompt is, he would ALWAYS find a way to make it fit into both the theme + his distinct architectural style or draw it even better. This man is so full of ideas and genuinely loves his major.
Affinity to classical and dainty architecture styles.
Enjoys doing interior designing as well — he tries to include them in his initial exterior designs if he has the time but majority of the time, he doesn't.
He's a self-care babe. Already has an estsblished skincare, haircare, nailcare, and even makeup routine by the time he starts content creating.
Trust me, if his course didn't entail straining his hands a lot from sketching and nails getting accidentally cracked (to his dismay), he would've painted them a LONG time ago. Instead, he paints his friends' nails for fun.
Is the type to upload anytime without a schedule like he genuinely enjoys making videos and such. Even if those updates last for about 30 seconds or a minute, he uploads them.
His videos are motivation to get your life togjether just because his looks like it.
It's not. He lives off of lattes and convenience store snacks on his off time. (He also films himself even when he doesn't look as put together as he does in his usual videos).
Examples of his videos would be the content Song Jia (free지아) would post. Drops effective tips, recommendations, and even advice from time to time.
Cyno ★ Criminal Justice Major & Tighnari ★ Med Student + Vlogging & Mukbang
Cyno
I decided to write these two as a duo because I headcanon them as roommates as well in a modern au.
Cyno despite his kind of intimidating course takes it very well and has always been a fan of solving stuff related to criminology. In serious moments, he's able to give his two cents on social topics.
The fastest in his class to answer and solve scenario-based questions.
He's a fucking pain in the ass (said in a loving tone) to watch action/thriller movies with because on top of the puns and jokes he makes, he ends up spoiling the plot because he's already deduced what's going to happen.
Tighnari
Tighnari is a tired medical student, taking up a pre-med course in either biology or medical devices.
He's the type to have the messy-neat room, papers neatly but at the same messily sprawled on areas in his room but it adds to his personality so it's alright.
The one med student who makes his notes as neat as possible because he believes that it's better to understand during his first year and the one who relies on a distant memory to decode what he wrote in his notebook that looked like it went through 7 failed situationships, 3 divorces, and lost the custody of 3 children in the later phases of his academic career.
Despite that, he remembers the names and uses of medical treatments and supplements at the top of his head.
Tighnari likes to be precise in practice operations during the later years in med school after pre-med.

Cyno introduced the idea of content creating to his roommate.
Tighnari agreed because he's drowning in student debt.
They would mostly do vlogs when they go out with friends or play board games (Tighnari cheats his way to the top whilst Cyno is left to wonder how he, the master at card games and alike, is losing to someone who just learned the mechanics 5 minutes ago).
Their viewers enjoy that bit very much.
When the weekend pulls closer, they like to plan the food they want to eat at home for a video or the restaurant/food fair hopping they'll be doing on a random Friday. It's a routine they do to unwind from the stress of academics.
They also gossip together while filming and eating.
The type of content they would post would be like the videos Stephanie Soo posts.
Scaramouche/Wanderer ★ Performing Arts + Gaming & Covers
He's so K-pop idol coded, did we as a society forget one of his hobbies was dancing in canon
He has a background in contemporary dancing/ballet and hip-hop dancing.
His voice is angelic and his professor really likes his vocal color (probably would have TXT's Soobin / SVT's Minghao's tone).
Scara ensures that dance moves are always clean when he performs and makes sure that there isn't any idle part of his body when he dances. His right hand is up? His left arm has to be placed somewhere at the same time. He hates it when he looks awkward on stage.
A really wide vocal range and can comfortably shift vocal tiers. He only strains his voice when the following note is unbelievably high for his pitch.
Shines the most in slow and r&b type performances, and is extremely flexible physically and in terms of genres.
When he posts content, Scaramouche takes interest in horror games as well as fixed-world (I'm not sure about the word) RPG games (ones like Persona 5, Honkai Stsr Rail). He screams (much more than he likes to admit).
He posts dance covers and song covers as well and gets a lot of praise for it online, urging him to become an idol (little do they know that he's studying to do just that).
Books really nice dance studios for covers and goes all-out for outfits.
Examples of his videos would be what Tuonto/Jake and Antony Chen would post.

Hilda and Heather went to the market together, well mostly it was Hilda who went to buy stuff. Heather simply nodded and went along with what her friend had for them planned.
"Don't you think this color will suit me?" Hilda said, as she considered buying new eyeshadow shade.
"Huh? What did you say?" Heather was looking at lipsticks, but her mind was out of the situation, for she wondered how to improve her strategies. She wasn’t interested in cosmetics outside nailcare but she did like the shade of the lipstick she looked at while ignoring her friend.
“I think it would suit you very loveley” third person entered the conversation and it was none other than Sylvain.
Instead of asking what was he doing there, miss Goneril turned to him and said “Of course you would say that” Hilda giggles “but I was asking Heather” she turned towards her friend.
After a few moments she connected the dots and knew what to say “I think it’d look pretty on you” she paused “You know it’s hard for something to not suit you since you’re so gorgeous you can make every color combination look great” she said without any hesitation.
“Aww you’re making me blush” Hilda said as she decided to buy the item.
The entire conversation Sylvain noticed Heather’s interest in the lipstick but as the girls headed out, she put it away. When they left, he decided to buy a little surprise for his friend.
But... he ended up being a little careless and by the time he met up with Heather again he noticed the lipstick was gone.
Later, he checked if he didn’t leave it somewhere around his room. In the end he couldn’t find it. Yet he was lucky enough for Byleth to find it and bring it to him.
"Oh! That's mine... Thanks, Professor. You really saved the day." he said to his teacher, this time making sure not to lose it. To do that- he looked for the girl who he intended his gift for immediately.
"Heather!" he got her attention "I have something for you" he handed her the lipstick.
"Oh that's really nice of you, but if you wanted me to kiss you you didn't really have to buy me a lipstick" she winked not really meaning what she said.
"That's not what I was thinking of, but if you're offering I have no reason to say no to that" he winked back at her also joking. The two looked at each other as it was hard to hold back their laughter. Before any of them added anything they let out their laughter.

1. Outlook for Business & Career

It is a multi-billion dollar worldwide industry, and consumers are shifting their definitions of beauty and seeking an inclusive and genuine image. The need for hair care services and products is increasing as our population continues to expand. Jobs for cosmetologists are expected to grow by 19% between 2020 and 2030, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. High sustainability standards, innovative ideas, and an entrepreneurial attitude are brought to the industry by this new crop of cosmetologists.
2. Achievement Certificate
This course prepares students to apply for cosmetologist licenses. In order to complete the cosmetology degree, students must complete 1,000 hours of thorough training in every aspect of the field. Courses emphasize theoretical groundwork, practical manipulation skills, business acumen, career development in the industry, and the professional and ethical training required for licensing through the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Students can work in many different areas of the beauty business since they are well-equipped with good entry-level and some advanced abilities. The California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology has given its approval to Skyline College's cosmetology program. The full-time, daytime Skyline College cosmetology curriculum is intended to be finished in two semesters. In January and August, new semesters begin.
3. Procedures and Conditions for Admission
No requirements or test scores from a placement exam are needed to receive the Cosmetology Certificate of Achievement.
But all aspiring students must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for admission:
finish the enrolling process at Skyline College and submit a special program application.
Enrollment is not guaranteed even when all enrollment requirements are satisfied and a special program application packet is submitted. Within the Cosmetology curriculum, every course is "cohort restricted." This indicates dnd fall colors that certain courses are set aside just for those obtaining a cosmetology certificate.
Students are urged to complete the Skyline College steps to enrollment as well as the FAFSA, Dream Act, and other financial aid applications as soon as possible because the cosmetology program at the school is quite popular. Students who initially registered at Skyline for a 1,600-hour program.

Dream job? i kinda have it? just to move up in my company tbh. i’m a credit analyst so i manage credit applications for a large vehicle hire company in the uk. i also review current accounts and ensure people are actually paying us. i really enjoy it lmfao. of course a PIPELINE dream would be teaching english language to poor and/or disabled students and actually give them patience and a chance because i have witnessed such ignorance from the school system when it comes to this and it riles me immensely

isn’t that LUCRÈCE ALLAIRE ? yeah that is HER, sitting there at the SLYTHERIN table with those other SEVENTH years and i think i heard sybill saying they look like ESTER EXPOSITO… whoever that is! when she looks into her crystal ball she sees the cold glimmer of dead stars, gliding down a marble staircase, freshly healed skin over a torn-off hangnail, silk sheets twisted around two pairs of legs, perfectly polished china carefully arranged. anyway i’ve heard they’re pretty SELFISH, POISED, and RESOURCEFUL. apparently they’re a PUREBLOOD but i’m sure that’s not related.
it’s hard to get attention with six siblings. especially when you’re the second youngest daughter in a family that only ever wanted a son. lucrèce used to not care. when she was younger, she was perfectly happy playing with her sister elodie, bonding while their parents fussed over their brother.
until lu figured out the secret – to get attention, all she had to do was be practically perfect in every way. so she stopped playing with ellie, started staying inside and practicing the harp until her fingers bled, balanced books on her head until her posture rivalled that of royalty, memorized each obscure etiquette rule of which fork goes where.
it was around that time that she also figured out her siblings were not her allies, but rather, competition. if they did worse, by extension, that meant she did better.
she took full advantage of this realisation, and poor ellie got the brunt of it. she’d prick her with her needle during embroidery lessons, then played the innocent when her sister reacted. they fed into each other – ellie would get into trouble, and lucrèce would egg her on ( never allowing herself to get caught, of course. )
it was no surprise when lu was sorted into slytherin at hogwarts. she fit all the check boxes – proud, manipulative, cunning, ambitious … and, of course, pure.
with her french accent, beauty and charm, lucrèce easily found herself the subject of attention from many of her classmates. and she thrived ! finally, instead of lu trying to impress others ( namely, her parents ), others were trying to impress her.
she quickly developed a talent for getting other people to do things for her – her homework, revenge, etc. for all her ambition and drive, lucrèce can be extraordinarily lazy. if there’s someone she can get to do her work for her, dirty or otherwise, she will.
hates losing control. while her sister is all impulse decisions and recklessness, lu is careful planning and preparation. she’s fiercely independent, although she keeps that fierceness all on the downlow, beneath a rehearsed smile and downcast eyes.
does not show feelings. feelings are weakness. and lu would rather die than show weakness
lowkey secretly hedonistic ? on the outside, lu is the portrait of restraint and class. but with a very select few, she’s partaken in her fair share of vices. drinking, drugs, and mostly yes, sex. she’s very careful not to let a reputation spread, but she’s a teenage girl – she enjoys sex and she’s not ashamed. she just knows better than to act like it.
kind of obsessed with nailcare ? it started because she would bite and pick at her nails whenever she was stressed or upset, so eventually she started painting them to refrain from biting them. now she has an impressive collection of nail polish and varnish. her cuticles are impeccable. it’s kind of a way for her to maintain control – doing her nails helps her keep a calm head. if her nails are out of order, her life is out of order.
pretty squeamish. almost failed care of magical creatures because she couldn’t dissect a flobberworm.
she puts herself first, always. and she isn’t ashamed of that. if she wants something, she goes for it. if other people don’t do the same, that’s their own fault.
has the confidence of a mediocre white man because why not

Certainly rare but not unheard of that Megumi gets an entire day reserved for only one customer. The person reserving the full course was someone who was in their original first 100 customer getting coupon to have 30% off. Placing Megumi’s prices below the average market on beauticians who own their own salon to form a regular clientele after the opening. They knew the first ones will be those who followed their online courses and just want to be pampered and touched by them because it was somewhat of an attraction for the average males to be polished from head to toe by them and women didnt feel as threatened and had a healthy dose of competition towards them. Know thy enemy or something like that...
They start preparing the room by giving it a once over with a lime scented cleaner, refreshing the guest toilet and dressing room, placing out fresh towels and embroidered robe for them to wear.
Wiping down the mirrors and timing the air freshener for 90 minutes, they hide away the cleaning products brooms and anything to imply their customers clipped hair, nails or anything of the sort would be just swept in the corner. That was the biggest cringe in their book and hated it when they worked at a previous salon and had to ‘just toss it into the corner so its out of the way and we will clean after closing’ yuck.
Megumi placed out towels next to the basin they washed hair, cleaned surfaces and put everything neatly away in the sliding mirror bottomed drawers. They prepared the waxing and timed up the ice cube maker to give a bag to the customer in case their skin was sensitive after. They put the eyebrow colors in range on a sliding rack and their indian burner they used for trimming only the split ends on the hair in case their guest will have long hair, so not to be everyones nightmare of a hairdresser who cuts too much off.
They prepped the massage table and placed out oils to choose alongside with scented and the good old baby oil for those who didnt like fragrance.
Megumi set out the nailcare set in the moving cart and , lit the light on the wall showcasing the range of nailpolish colors. They finished just short of 5 minutes to 8 am and set the coffee machine and few prepackaged tea if the guest would prefer that instead of their aromatic coffee mix.
As they were to open up Megumi noticed someone standing right at the entrance. “Are you my date for today?” They asked with a cheerful smile placing the “reserved” sign over their business hours and reaching out a hand to the other.

Day 23 & 24 of the #abnewyearstashchallenge hosted by @peepingpomeranian and @mindyourbeauty Hand/Foot care, Nail polish and treat. For hand and foot care I mostly use creams. The midnight mint foot cream is amazing! Cooling feeling and my feet and hands (still rub the leftover on them) feel soft. As for nail polish, I mostly do my own gel nails. I have some sensational polish but my favorite has to be the red carpet one. Colors are true to hue and last longer.
