Azriel Week Day 6 Prompt - Past and Future - Threefold

Summary - After years of trying and unsuccessful attempts, you and Azriel finally receive everything you've asked and prayed for threefold.

Warnings - high-risk pregnancy, labor (nothing graphic), babies, illusions to miscarriages, inferred toll of pregnancy on mental health (its hard.)

A/n - this fit too perfectly for @azrielappreciationweek dad Az is my favorite to write as a father simply because his inner child deserves to heal 💜

Madja and Rhys held your upper body as another bout of sickness ripped through your stomach. You hadn't felt right for several days now. You were exhausted and irritable, and lately, nothing has stayed down.

Rhys pulled your hair back, rubbing small circles into your back. "I can call for Azriel, y/n," he offered again. "He's only doing some follow up things in Windhaven. There are no new issues."

Madja looked at the High Lord. Calling for him silently in her mind. It was clear to the healer what was going on, and she wanted you on bed arrest immediately. You and Azriel had been trying and struggling to have a babe for years. She inclined her head to Rhys, motioning for him to follow her.

"She's pregnant," she boldly said. "The scent is faint, meaning it's early, but her morning sickness indicates multiples." Rhysand's face fell, joy, happiness, fear, sadness all washing over him. You and Azriel were the last of the circle without children.

He and Feyre had 4, Cassian and Nesta had 2, Lucien and Elain had 2. Even Mor and Armen had adopted children. But you and Azriel? You had been trying for years now, and unsuccessful attempt after attempt had led to you two in long fights, heartache, and emotional turmoil.

"Were they even trying?"

Madja nodded at the question. "We tried one last alternative method. It was very painful for her. That's why I need you to command her to bedrest, Rhysand. For them."

The High Lord reentered the bathroom, gently picking you up after you finished brushing your teeth and began the pathway to your room. "You're done working for today. I'm calling for Azriel." Madja opened the door for him, watching as he gently set you down on the soft sheets and blankets you had already started subconsciously nesting with. "You will not leave this bed unless one of us is here with you."

The Riverhouse set food and water on the table, indicatine needed you needed to eat. "Madja, what's going on?"

The old healer looked at you. "I'll be able to give you a better answer once Azriel is here and I examine you."

Azriel flew hard. Not wanting to be away a single second longer after Rhysand's urgent message. He landed with a thud, and instantly went into Rhysand's office where he and Cassian sat in silence. "Where is she? What's wrong?"

Rhys motioned for him to sit and Cassian handed him the whiskey he was nursing. Rhys sighed, "She's pregnant. Madja thinks there's multiple. You're both done. You will distribute your missions until further notice and stay with your mate." Rhys paused as Azriel threw back the expensive whiskey. "Madja is with her and waiting for you for the exam."

You were laid back, Azriel holding your soft hand in his scarred ones near his mouth as he kissed each knuckle. Madja was glowing, hands over your abdomen. You watched her mouth twitch and Rhysand stop pacing in the corner before he started to just laugh. "You are indeed pregnant, my dear. With three healthy developing children. Maybe 6 weeks." Azriel's face fell first, looking at Rhysand in panic. "I will leave you two with your High Lord. He is aware of my opinion given your history." Madja left the from gracefully, a firm smile cemented on her face as she walked into the hallway where the Inner Circle waited.

Rhysand moved to the foot of the bed, leaned on the post as he looked between you and Azriel. "You're on bed rest. You will not leave this bed or go anywhere alone. No training. No long walks. No long trips into town. We," he motioned between himself and Azriel, "will set the nursery. You, my dearest y/n, will no longer lift a damn finger." Azriel had not moved, his eyes locked on you. Rhys took the silent message, leaving the room as Azriel moved onto the bed with you, his mouth immediately on yours as that dam broke and tears began to fall.

"3?" He asked in shock, a hand going to your stomach. "And 6 weeks? You're already to where-"

"I know," you interrupted softly. "If we can make it 2 more weeks, it'll be the furthest we've made it." Azriel's hand tilted your head to his, and he kissed you softly.

Azriel paused. "Rhys is asking Madja if she'd be willing to stay here with her own chambers. They're also all setting up a rotation to ensure one of them is always with us."

You nodded, hand going over his to rest on your stomach. "3."

"3," he whispered back.

6 weeks passed without complications. At, 12 weeks and you were halfway to that safe period Madja had promised. The healer had her hand over your stomach, glowing in her magic and happiness.

"Such healthy little heartbeats." You felt Azriel's body language relax and his hand gently squeeze yours. "Everything looks very healthy so far. I will not lift the bedrest, though."

You looked at Azriel, silently pleading for him to advocate for you and were met with a soft apologetic gaze. "No," he commanded softly. "You stay here. I stay here. We stay here." House arrest, bed rest, that was the only issue so far. You were used to your work, to running daily, to anything but this. Madja left with a small smile as Azriel whispered thank you, and you began to cry. "I know, my love-"

"No you don't. You do not know what it's like to be trapped here. I can't even go outside without Rhys or Cassian appearing out of fucking no where. I miss the sun, the grass." You took a deep breath. "I am confined to this house and it's many walls for the well being of our babies. I understand that, but what about my well being, Azriel? What about my mental health?"

Azriel looked down, your normally selfless mate. "I'm sorry, y/n, but until I know something as simple as laying in the sun won't hurt them, I will support you being in the home, maintaining low stress levels. I will see if I can find a compromise. Perhaps an atrium? I know you've always wanted one."

You woke up to that the very next day, Azriel, Rhys, Lucien, and Cassian were all shirtless with other workers. A room facing your favorite garden had been wrecked, the furniture all moved. They had started at sunrise and at nightfall it stopped. Between magic, skills, and your husband refusing a break, you had a skylit atrium. Rhysand moved to you, covered in dirt and sweat, tilting your chin to place a small kiss on your temple, then Cassian, then Lucien, the last leaving his hand ok your already large stomach for a little while with a happy smile.

Azriel was moving the furniture back, shadows assisting every step of the way. He finally entered the room, lifting you gently from the chair you were reading in, and placing you in the lounging couch he had moved into the full glass room.

"Az-"

"I love you," he interrupted. "And I'm sorry you're having to make this sacrifice for us and our family, but please know I love you. Please know I am just worried. We've lost so much, too many already. Please, y/n, meet me here. Let this be our common ground until Madja says otherwise."

You had no choice but to nod, eyes locked on the beautiful night sky you had not seen in what felt like months. "I'm hungry." Azriel smiled at the statement. His eyes lit up as he felt your gentle caving down the bond. "Could you perhaps bathe and feed me? Maybe out here?" Azriel nodded, pulling you into a deep kiss.

Before you blinked, your third trimester was half way over, and suddenly bedrest was all you could think about. You were uncomfortable, large, constantly feeling as if the babes were using you as a personal playground. You and the Twins were in the kitchen when it happened, tight pain shot through your stomach and wetness came, your hand flew to Cerridwen and she supported you immediately, screaming for Madja as she moved you to sit.

The next several hours blurred together. Rhysand appearing and having Cassian help him carry you to a tub per Madja's request. Him holding your mind as he apologized over and over.

It made sense that this was happening now. The one time there was a mission that required Azriel. The one time he was in the Mortal Lands, having to spy on the Queen furthest from your home. Rhysand held your hand through the process, Cassian helping support your body as every inch of you felt like giving up and going out.

Until that first scream came. That first wail of life. That first tiny little body handled to one of the twins, small perfect wings intact. "Push, y/n," Rhys whispered softly. "They need their siblings." It could have been but moments, possibly hours. You didn't know. But a second cry came followed by the door slamming open and Azriel running to your side, allowing Rhysand to move and help with the babes.

"I'm so sorry," you kept saying, guilt hitting you at his bittersweet joy of missing two of the babes being born. "I-"

"It's okay. I'm here for this one." Azriel kissed your temple. "Two have wings, my love. You are doing so well."

The third cry came soon after, your body wanting to be done before finally giving out as Azriel and Cassian waited for Madja to heal you the best she could. She nodded and they removed you from the tub, body absolute done as you rested in Azriel's chest.

Cassian had gone to the babes, his excitement too heavy. Soon the whole Inner Circle and Nyx sat in the room, waiting for Madja to begin the announcements. She walked one of the babies to you, "First Born, winged, healthy weight for a triplet. Boy." Azriel stilled, his grip on your hand tightening.

Rhys walked the second over, a familiar soft look in his eyes, "Second born, winged, also healthy and hungry. Boy."

Cassian was sobbing holding his little bundle, looking at Azriel and then nodding. Your mate's dam broke, handing you the two sons instantly and reaching for the baby Cassian had. "Third born. Wingless for now, we all know that won't be the case forever, though. A little smaller than Madja would like. Girl."

Azriel held her close, his eyes locked on her perfect little face as tears fell. "You promised," he reminded you gently. You were too busy, admiring your boys to even respond. They were holding hands, both searching for their sister. "Y/n."

You broke your stare, brows knit in confusion. "They're your lineage, Azriel. You know you have last say in their names." Madja and the Inner Circle now stood closer as Azriel studied the babes one by one, never letting go of his daughter.

"Ophelia," he handed her gently to you. "After my mother." He took one of the boys, stroking his little cheek softly. He was holding the second born, who was wearing a serious pout. The was the largest of the three, little wings trying to stretch already on his back. "Ramiel. Because I have a gut feeling." Nyx laughed gently, silently asking to take his cousin and get him situated for a bottle. Azriel gave him to his nephew, a look of warning on his face. He took the oldest, who immediately took a scarred finger into his tiny hands. "Opinions, love," he asked you before realizing you were feeding your daughter. "She just decided to latch on there, huh?"

"Pretty much," you looked at your oldest son, the second smallest. Face all smiles. "Arnan," you looked to Armen. "After his aunt who found the method that brought them into the world." She was at Azriel's side immediately, taking the babe from him without him even putting up a fight.

*3 months later*

You and Azriel sat in the nursery. The boys in his arms, feeding softly from bottles, your daughter in yours breastfeeding. Figuring out a schedule to ensure all of them breastfed once or twice a day had been difficult but the routine was easy now. Ophelia slept best through the night after skin to skin and breastfeeding. Arnan was less fussy in the mornings when his breakfast came directly from you. Ramiel napped better after an afternoon breast feeding. "They're holding their heads up so well," Azriel cooed. "My strong boys." He was a male obsessed and in love. He was frequently out your shared bed at night, and you'd find him, sleeping with all three of them on his broad bare chest in the nursery. He was the perfect father despite not having an example of how to be one.

"I think our sweet girl will get there soon," you kept watch on her, holding her little hand as she reached for you. "We're just a Danity little thing, though so Heaven forbid daddy has to carry and coddle us more." You teased them both as Azriel's jaw dropped.

"I can't help it, love. Look at her, look at those eyes, that nose, her little smile. I'll carry her to Spring and back by foot." He stood, burping both of the boys and laid them in their cribs before coming to sit in front of his girl. "I want her when you're done."

"You say that until they poop."

"They're so warm and happy after breastfeedings, y/n." He watched as she unlatched by choice, reaching for her father's familiar voice and he took her. "And her belly is all full. And she's so happy. My little star. The perfect ending to our family's constellation." He walked her to her crib, continuing to coo her. "All of my little stars," he turned their mobiles on, watching as they all slowly shut their eyes and then walked to you.

He left the door open a crack, escorting you to your adjoining bedroom. Once inside he kissed you, thumbs stroking your cheekbones as he did, and rested his forehead against yours. "I love you."

"I love you too. Let's go to bed. Please. They hardly napped at all today. Nyx got them that damn toy and I am still deciding if our nephew gets to live." Azriel laughed quietly, moving to the bed with a hand holding yours. "Perhaps tonight you could stay here."

He paused, staring at you as he pulled the blanket over you two. "I don't know what you're talking about." His cheeks were slightly flushed. "I always stay the night here."

You kissed his hand. "Of course you do, Azzie. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, y/n."

After reading that clarktim babysitter ask, all I could focus on was 1. they didn't use protection and 2. Tim came like three times and is at the perfect age for fertilization

Tim likely has had his period for a few months before he and Clark start this "relationship" of theirs, and it probably doesn't occur to either of them that they should use protection. But then Tim ends up pregnant and Bruce or Jack or whoever Tim is living with in Gotham kicks him out, and Clark is a good man, right? An upstanding one, even if you don't know he's Superman. So he takes in his homeless, pregnant babysitter, and no one thinks anything of it

Not even when Clark, who just got his new work from home position at the Daily Planet, offers to adopt Tim's baby, that way he can still be around them as they grow up. Tim agrees and honestly no one bats an eye (everyone is either too busy, doesn't care, or genuinely doesn't notice anything)

For the duration of his pregnancy, Tim is fucked as often as he wants and needs, and Clark is obsessed with his knocked up teenage babysitter who is so heavy with Clark's baby

And everyone knows the statistics, right? That teen parents are more likely to have a second child while still in their teens? So no one is surprised when Tim shows his true slutty colors and winds up knocked up only four or five months after giving birth. And he and Clark have the same deal, bc Clark makes more than enough, has a stay at home job, and has always wanted a big family. So Tim continues living there, swells up nice and big with a second baby, and raises his first baby and Jon as best he can while keeping Clark satisfied however he needs

(it isn't until Tim's 16th birthday rolls around and instead of getting a car he gets a positive pregnancy test that anyone starts to get suspicious, and by the time anyone can think to voice anything against these arrangements, Tim is an emancipated minor and lives in a state where the age of consent is 16. So there's nothing anyone can do, and nothing to stop Tim from popping out more babies for Clark to "adopt" that Tim gets to spend all his time "babysitting")

😍😍😍😍yessss!!! tim has felt even more distant from bruce because it felt like bruce was steadily phasing him out of the robin role (bruce was but he honestly thougth he was doing what was best for tim) and tim's estrangement with his dad hasn't improved.

so is it really a surprise when jack kicks tim out for being pregnant after a visit to the pediatrician explained why tim had been feeling all kinds of ill? and, well, this is news to tim, because he'd never had a pregnancy scare before (even though this isn't much of a scare). tim has been hooking up with other kids his age since summer camp so him turning out to actually be pregnant is as much a shock to him as it is his dad.

tim barely has enough time to pack a bag before his dad is throwing him out to the curb.

and tim, suddenly homeless and hopelessly knocked up, needs help. and in a different world where he and bruce were closer he may have run towards the manor. but in this universe tim only feels safe with one adult who has always been considerate and kind towards him.

even when clark finds out he knocked tim up, tim is sure that he'll still help because that's the kind of person that clark is. so with the bit of change he manages to fish out of a pocket in his backpack tim tracks down a payphone and calls the number that always picks up no matter if it's an unknown number or something the caller id clearly marks as 'spam'.

clark is in the city ready to pick him up within the hour while tim sits at a corner booth at a batburger picking at some fries. tim had wanted to wait to tell clark, not ready to say it over the phone and also not feeling it appropriate. but then clark bursts in through the front doors looking around before spotting tim and tim can recognize the look on his face when clark begins using his x-ray vision to scan him for injuries.

so tim can tell when he sees...it.

it must be that he sees the cells in tim, multiplying and building into a bigger clump that will eventually be a baby. it must be. that must be why clark just freezes up and stops dead as he's taking a step towards tim.

clark is the only one that tim trusts. bruce has always had tim balancing and navigating the minefield of his emotions but clark is the only one who has...been nice to tim. and maybe that's a big part of the reason why tim had started having sex with him. unlike with the boys from camp tim hadn't done it because he was bored or because he wanted a favor or because he wanted clark's share of dessert. tim had started sleeping with clark because...he'd wanted to.

but now tim has gone and screwed that up by being stupid and getting pregnant and now he could get clark in a lot of trouble if anyone found out and from the white and frightened look on clark's face it seemed he was also realizing the situation they were in.

but its not like tim was an outlier. statistically speaking many of the fathers to the babies of teen mothers were over the age of twenty so it's not like tim was the first stupid teenager to spread their legs for an adult. but...unlike other people clark had more to lose if it got found out. he could lose his job, lose respect of the league and colleagues, he could lose custody of jon if lois got mad at him for knocking tim up.

maybe if tim were a better person he would've...dealt with this himself and clark would've been none the wiser but...but tim had gotten scared and calling clark had been his first instinct.

it takes a moment but clark continues approaching him. he's slow, hesitant, he sits down carefully and continues staring at tim like an alien has just ripped out of his chest.

tim keeps his head down and tries to think of a million ways to apologize for doing this to him. only for clark to speak first, his voice choked up and broken as he whispers "tim, i'm so sorry."

clark looks near tears staring at tim. poor pregnant, teenage slut tim who has just been kicked out by his dad.

his eyes dart from tim's face, to his backpack, to his flat little stomach that hasn't even begun to blossom with a single sign of life.

its hard few hours. tim hadn't been sure what calling clark would achieve, he'd even started regretting it as he waited but with no other options...

clark spends the entire time after he arrives trying to convince tim to come home with him, to come to metropolis, that tim could finish school there, he could live in the spare room- it was pretty much his anyway. tim tries desperately to resist, to find any excuse to not go and risk ruining clark's life even further. but it's hard. it's hard because he wants to go with clark so desperately. clark hasn't touched him once since that night he stumbled back to the apartment drunk out of his mind but that doesn't mean tim hasn't dreamed of it, imagined clark coming into his room again. tim has quietly masturbated in the spare room while clark was down the hall, knowing he could hear the wet squelches of tim's achingly empty cunt. tim has started arriving at clark's apartment for his babysitting gig braless, knowing clark could see through his shirt so easily and making it easier.

in the end things turn out nicely for tim. he gives birth to a sweet baby just as they move into a homey little house just on the outskirts of metropolis. jon is adjusting well to the move, clark is more at ease in the countryside suburbs, and tim picks up on motherhood quickly. babies are simple if needy little things and tim has balanced more difficult cases while doing labs for batman. so tim somehow manages to end up with free time on his hands while caring for a newborn.

naturally clark also has gaps in his schedule and his affection for tim hasn't waned at all during tim's pregnancy so...

barely a few months post partum tim is knocked up again.

a year later he's nursing another newborn while watching clark chase down a relatively speedy one year old. when they both go down for their naps and there's still another hour before the bus drops off jonathon well....

lois cuts the thought off. because how preposterous. tim was barely sixteen and onto his third pregnancy and clark? clark would never. the thought wouldn't even occur to him (even though a little voice in lois's head whispered to her about how badly clark had wanted a big family, how he'd begged lois for more children after jon but she'd drawn the line and said 'no').

for clark and tim the grace period ends and...questions start getting made. but by that point clark has resolved to see this through to the end with tim no matter what happens. and tim has contented himself with his emancipation papers and the fact that even if found out he was 16 now and free to live with and have babies with anyone he wanted. and no one could do anything about that.

Summary: Classification tests aren't typically taken by sinners, they're usually taken by the hellborn. But still Charlie decides it might benefit the hotel if everyone took the test so they can better understand them.....Chaos ensues

“Okay everyone! Today I have a bit of an experiment for you all.” Charlie announces. “You are all going to be taking the infamous Classification test!”

“The what now?” Angel asks.

“This test will determine what kind of person you are! And it will help us better understand your needs to better help you. The types in question are: Littles, Caregivers, Babysitters, Pet regressors, Handlers, Guardians, and neutrals.” She explains. “Hellborns take this test when they turn fifteen to find out their best possible place in our society to live their best lives!”

“Wait, so all hellborns take this test?” Angel asks.

“Yeah, is that new information for you?” Vaggie asks. “It's pretty common knowledge.”

“I have never heard of that!” Angel says.

“You know, you should go outside every now and then, maybe you'll learn something.” Vaggie says.

“Do you have any idea what happens when I go outside?” Angel asks her. “Not a lot of learning happening.”

“Don't worry, I have all the definitions riiight here. I'll read them out for you.” Charlie says. She clears her throat and reads through the classifications: “First we have: Littles or regressors, these people will often regress to a younger state of mind to help them cope with day to day life. They're usually traumatized individuals who either had to grow up too fast or those who had a bad childhood, regressing allows them to heal their inner child. They also need to be properly taken care of by Caregivers.”

Angel raises an eyebrow, but Charlie continues:

“Caregivers are the ones assigned to take care of littles, these people usually have natural instincts

Much little Littles, Caregivers are thought to have a traumatic past but they cope by helping others.” Charlie explains.

“Guardians or ‘protectors’ I think is pretty self explanatory. These people are very strong, fearless leaders who are very protective of their loved ones.” She reads, smiling at Vaggie at that part.

“Pets or pet regressors are a lot like Littles, except instead of regressing to a child's mindset, they regress to an animal mindset.”

“And Handlers are a lot like Caregivers except for pets. Usually Caregivers and Handlers go hand in hand, so it's rare for someone to get this classification.” Charlie explains.

“And what's the purpose of these tests? Like what happens to you afterwards?” Angel asks.

“Well, anyone who gets at least fifty percent little on the test will be assigned a caregiver, either a parent could adopt them, or a partner,” Charlie holds Vaggie's hand. “Or they'll be taken to an adoption center to meet their adoptive caregiver or assigned caregiver. A caregiver assigned by the people who run the program. Usually this is a last resort though.”

“Caregivers are very similar, having to have a little, and if they don't have one, they'll be assigned one.” Vaggie adds. “They usually can't get away without having one. Unless they're royal or have kids that is.”

Angel's mouth hangs open. “...And this is just something you do? You assign people to other people and force them to live their life based solely on a random test they took when they were fifteen?!” Angel asks.

“Yup, pretty much.” Vaggie says.

“And you're all just fine with this?!” Angel asks.

“It's a flawed system, I will admit. But it has helped a lot of people too.” Charlie says.

“In what way?” Angel asks.

“Well, Littles have someone to take care of them, and Caregivers have someone to take care of.” Charlie explains.

“That's stupid.” Angel says. “I am not taking that test.”

“Oh, come on, Angel. We just want to help you.” Charlie says. “Everyone is going to be taking to, so you won't be alone.”

“Who says I'm taking that test?” Husk asks as Vaggie tries to hand him one.

“Everyone is taking it.” Charlie says again. “It'll be fun!”

“Wait a minute, if all the hellborn take this test, does that mean…you've taken the test?” Angel asks Charlie.

“Oh yeah, of course!” Charlie says.

“If you're going to be knowing our results, isn't it only fair that we know yours?” He asks.

“Okay. Well, I'm a classified caregiver and little.” She says, moving some hair back awkwardly when mentioning the little part.

“You can be both?” Angel asks.

“Yup, 50/50. She says.

“Well, just because you're okay with it, doesn't mean I am.” Angel says.

“What's wrong, Angel? Scared?” Husk asks.

“No.” Angel says. “I just-” Angel didn't know how to say it. “Fuck you!”

“Come on, Angel. Get on board.” Charlie encourages, handing him the test.

Angel takes it and looks through it skeptically.

Suddenly Charlie gets a phone call. She checks her phone but her eyes widen. “Oh.” She looks at everyone and presses the phone close to her chest. “Uhh… I'll be right back, you guys just answer these questions as honestly as you can.” Charlie instructs before walking out.

Vaggie looks at Charlie with concern and wordlessly follows her into the other room.

~~~Charlie and Vaggie:~~~

Charlie got off the phone quickly, the phone conversation only lasted a few minutes, and even then she exclusively answered with small answers: ‘mhm’ ‘sure’ ‘uh..okay.’ and finally ‘Yeah, bye.’

“Everything okay, Charlie?” Vaggie asks.

“Everything is super!” She says, smiling brightly and adding extra enthusiasm to her voice to make sure Vaggie wasn't suspicious.

“Oh good. So, who was on the phone?” Vaggie asks.

“Just- my dad. Don't worry about it. It's nothing.” Charlie says.

Charlie was about to leave, but Vaggie grabbed her hand. “Hey, you know you can tell me anything….right?”

“Of course I know that, silly.” Charlie laughs. “Everything is fine, I promise.” She says.

“Okay…I trust you.” Vaggie shrugs, keeping a smile on her face.

What else could she do? If something is wrong but Charlie doesn't want to talk about it, it would be wrong to pressure her.

Charlie grabs Vaggie’s hand and smiles kindly. “Let's go back to the others. Also, you need to take the test too. I wanna see your results.”

Vaggie rolls her eyes. “As if you don’t know what I am already? You're the one taking care of me all the time.”

“I'm just curious.” Charlie says. “And of course I will always take care of you, we take care of each other. It's kind of our job.” She chuckles.

Vaggie smirks. “Well, yeah. But, you're not as young as I am.” She says.

“Or as absolutely adorable!” Charlie baby talks.

“No way, you're way cuter, little or not.”

“You keep thinking that.” Charlie says, booping her beloved girlfriend's nose. “But we both know you're the cutest little ever.” ~

“Come on, Angel. Get on board.” Angel mocks once Charlie left the room.

“That bitch is hiding something.” Husk says. “I can tell.”

“Who cares? I have work to do.” Angel says, getting up and leaving the test behind.

“It's the weekend.” Husk says.

“Yeah, but Val has a party tonight and he wants me to help…entertain the guests. If you know what I mean.” He smirks.

Husk rolls his eyes as Angel smiles at himself. He always looks so proud to get under his skin or make him feel uncomfortable.

“You sure you don't want to take this with you?” Husk asks. “The princess won't be too happy when she finds out you're walking out on yet another activity.” Husk smirks in an attempt to tease him back. “...You might get in trouble.”

Angel gasps. “Oh please, I'm so scared.” He says sarcastically. “She won't do anything. The worst thing she could do is tell me she's very disappointed in me or some shit.” He scoffs, continuing to walk away.

“Angel?” Husk asks him.

“What?” Angel asks.

“Just…be careful. Okay?” He asks.

Angel frowns for a moment, then smiles. “Yeah…I will. Thanks.”

Alastor looks over at the cat, and smiles at Husk wordlessly.

“Mind your own fucking business!” Husk snaps at him.

Alastor laughs. “Well, if you didn't make everything so obvious, perhaps I would.”

“I don't know what you're talking about.” Husk says.

Alastor chuckles. “Of course you don't.”

Husk looks away from Al, turning his attention on anyone else-

It's what he always does… he observes.

Sir Pentious and Niffty were already working on their tests, Niffty rather fast and violent and Pentious very slow and hesitant.

“This test is impossible!” Sir Pentious complains. “How can they expect me to answer these hard questions? What am I supposed to put for gender?”

Husk looks at the test, the questions varies from mildly personal, complicated, to way too personal: “How do you deal with your failure?” He reads out loud. Wondering how the fuck that could tell them their place in…

As Charlie put it: ‘Society,’

“I put down: kill tiny things and drink their blood.” Niffty says.

“Blow stuff up!” Sir Pentious says. “Or perhaps I'd try try again? Oo! Both!”

“You are all such a pleasure to have around.” Alastor says. Very quickly finishing his test with no issues.

Husk was honestly surprised he was going along with this. He probably found the idea hilarious.

Husk sighs, normally he wouldn't engage with something like this either, but he knew Charlie wouldn't stop bothering him if he didn't. It was a lot easier to just do it and then get the rest of his day over with.

~~~Charlie:~~~

Charlie enthusiastically returns to the main room. “So, how's everyone doing?” She asks. “Where's Angel?” She asks before anyone could answer her first question.

“He left.” Husk says.

“Oh.” Charlie says. “That's…fine. He can just take it when he gets back!” She says.

Vaggie sighs. “When is he finally going to take anything we do seriously?”

“I don't think Angel knows what serious is.” Husk says.

They continue their tests, and Vaggie starts hers.

~~~~A few minutes later:~~~

“Finished!” Niffty says, handing her test back to Charlie.

“Perfect, thank you Niffty.” Charlie says.

“This test is impossible!” Pentious says. “How am I supposed to know all these personal questions?”

“Don't over think it.” Charlie says. “Just write the first thing that comes to mind.”

Husk leaves his test on the table, and Alastor leaves his on the floor, then both of them go back to their business.

Vaggie picked them up so as not to lose them.

~~~Charlie and Vaggie, Later:~~~

All Charlie had to do was scan the tests on their computer and the test results would print themselves. They had gotten access to the program the test centers use. Perks to being the princess of hell.

Her and Vaggie both awaited the answers for everyone.

“This will be so great! Getting to know everyone better so we can help them." Charlie says. "I can't wait to find out what the results are!"

“Just- be careful. Okay? I don't want you to blow this out of proportion.” Vaggie says.

“Psh, Vaggie! When have I ever done that?”

“When you found out I was a little, you bought me the whole little store!” Vaggie says.

“I gave it back after you told me to.” Charlie says. “I just wanted to make sure you had everything you needed.”

“I know.” Vaggie says. “I just want to make sure you don't get yourself hurt...or scare anyone away. You know?"

“Ooo! Your results are in!” Charlie squeals, grabbing the paper from the printer.

Vaggie rolls her eyes, but she's still smiling. She can't help it, Charlie is too cute. “What does it say?”

“Fifty percent little, fifty percent guardian!” Charlie says. “As I expected.” She says, in some sort of accent to make her sound smarter.

“Sounds right.” She says.

The next results get printed. “Husker!” Charlie sings.

Vaggie grabs the paper and reads it. “Seventy-five guardian, twenty five Neutral.”

“Niffty: Fifty percent Handler and…” Charlie tilts her head. “And unclassifyable nonsense.” She reads.

Vaggie nods. “Also sounds right.”

“Ooo, Sir Pentious is sixty percent little and fourty percent neutral.” Charlie says. “Little snake!” Charlie squeals.

“Okay, calm down there.” Vaggie laughs, taking the paper from Charlie. “Just grab the last one so we can get started planning the actual activities.”

Charlie grabs the final test result. “Uhhh.”

“What does it say?” Vaggie asks taking the paper from her.

Charlie couldn't even answer, she just stayed quietly shocked as Vaggy looked over the results.

Vaggie's eyes widen. “There's no. Fucking. Way.”

Underneath this person’s “tough” exterior is a big emotional baby, to put it bluntly.
