May I ask how you got people interested in your works? You have so many people who love your writing (rightfully so bc you're awesome) and I just want to find some people who like my writing like you did

ik that I should be writing for myself and everything, and for the most part I am! I write bc I like writing and it makes me happy! But it's just so so discouraging to see my little silly posts that take me 5 minutes to make do fantastic, meanwhile the works that take me weeks of effort get like 3 notes yk?

How do you do it? Did you ever deal with something similar? Any words of wisdom for the struggling noobs?

(This is a genuine question, I'm not trying to be rude in any way shape or form and I'm very sorry if it came off like that) (Also sorry to bother you)

You’re good, I’m not bothered by questions and I don’t think you’re asking anything rude either! I especially don’t mind the “please explain this thing I don’t know much about to me” type of questions, there’s just some shit you can’t effectively google or things that just make more sense coming from someone with direct experience. 

First and foremost: the two cakes meme is law!! No one will ever complain about getting two cakes, no matter if you think someone else already did it better! 

Second and second-most: as a newbie, before you read any of my advice at all, remember that you're currently comparing yourself to someone who’s been writing fic for their entire writing experience and has also been in fandom on and off for pretty much all of that time on multiple sites and through at least a couple major migrations of fandom hubs, and that time has been about twenty-five years now. Like, it has very much been a long-term process, me learning how to find a receptive audience for my stuff. Also I am a grown-ass adult who is currently pushing forty and am pretty self-aware of who I am as a person due to a WHOLE lot of personal introspection and therapy and general life experience. Like, I know how I work at this point in my life, if nothing else.

The long-form answer of my personal fandom process will definitely require a cut at this point, though, haha. Like, this got kind of involved, ngl, but since you’re asking I figure it’s reasonable to go into detail.

So anyway, the “how to find your audience” answer is obviously gonna be different for everybody, but PERSONALLY, I've been in fandom for a long-ass time and just about always been pretty prolific and consistently communicative and available during the times I was around. I have a ton of different fandoms and fics in my history and have run into a lot of different people and written a lot of different things over the years, so I've cast a pretty wide net of options for people to find me through. I've got readers who've followed me through multiple fandoms and even deliberately gotten into new ones because of me just because they like how I write and know me well enough from my other writing to trust that I’ll be respectful of certain things (or at least put in a good-faith effort to be). Your kink is not my kink, but I’m not gonna hate on it; your thing is not my thing, but you have fun over there, you DO your thing!

Being prolific is super-helpful, of course, because that gets people in the habit of checking in on you regularly and keeps you fresh in their minds, but one of the most effective ways I’ve gotten people long-term interested in my work is by being very responsive to readers and very open about what I’m currently working on. Taking requests has helped, asking who wants to see more of what has helped, talking to people in general has helped, and definitely playing “yes, and?” with ideas I’ve been offered has helped. Also I had the benefit of LiveJournal being one of my main fandom hubs for a while, where I met a lot of people and got in the habit of talking to them in a way Tumblr does not necessarily intuitively facilitate, so that’s just a habit for me. 

I definitely still produce stuff that comparatively flops and get bummed about it, it’s just a thing I’ve gotten used to over the years and so I either kill my darlings and move on to the next thing or I decide “naw, I’m still into this idea, I’mma work on it more anyway”. That’s obviously much easier when at least a couple other people are also into said idea, but still, it’s a thing you just gotta decide for yourself either way. Like I’ve DEFINITELY had stuff I slaved over get just about totally ignored while things I only tossed up on a whim off the top of my head or just intended as jokes people adored and resonated with way more, which is part of why I do so many WIP memes where I’m drip-feeding bits and pieces of content more regularly. One of my recent fics didn’t get near as much of a reception or interest on AO3 as I’d hoped it would, but when I was writing it on Tumblr people DID get excited for and enjoy it during the process, so that helped soothe that particular indignity/frustration for me.

Also, I’ve gotten enough people invested in my writing at this point that it’s much easier for me than it is for some writers, because I can do things like ask “hey what do you guys like/want to see more of?” and I’ll pretty much always get an answer, simply because so many people are in the habit of regularly checking on my blog and talking to me now. Polls are very helpful that way too, because it’s a functionally anonymous way for shyer people or people who are just casually scrolling their dash to give you an idea of what they’re enjoying from you without having to disrupt their flow or psych themselves up or anything like that. Like, it’s low-pressure, you know? I have done a LOT of polls since I found out Tumblr has those now.

I also constantly encourage people to both talk to me about and also play with my interpretations and AUs as they so please, and I deliberately cultivate responsive relationships with as many readers as I can. I don’t always have the spoons to answer every ask, but I always try to answer the majority of them and try not to ignore questions. A significant chunk of people have told me that they read tropes and AUs from me that they hate from other writers because they just trust that I’ll write it in a way that they can enjoy. I will include certain things and a certain level of respect that they just would not be comfortable without, and if I don’t have those things in there or there’s a common trigger, I’ll at least have done my best to tag for it. And I listen to people who tell me when I’m fucking up and I either take reasonable accommodations or change my behavior where appropriate. I tag for common triggers, I don’t use terms I’ve been told are insults or slurs, I try not to associate negative connotations with physical characteristics or things people can’t change about themselves, and when I have a reflexive “squick” reaction, I try not to assume shit and try to examine my biases. Or I just back-button and move on, if it comes to it. I also do my best to assume the best of people until they prove that I should not be. I am very much going to de-escalate when and wherever I can. 

I generally consider myself a low-drama blog and a low-drama person to follow, and put in effort to be that as best I can, and at this point I think (or at least hope) people feel relatively confident that they can talk to me without having to worry about immediately getting their head bitten off, which seems to be an increasing fear/concern that some people have in fandom. Therefore, I get people talking to me pretty regularly, because I’ve gone to the effort to be as approachable as I know how to make myself.

Also, yeah: above all else, write what you wanna write! Write your weird and niche dreams! Trust me, somebody out there LOVES your weird and niche dreams and wants all the deets on ‘em. I get the most engagement and interest when I just write what I really wanna see and don’t particularly worry about how goddamn weird I think I’m being. People are actually gonna be EXCITED about how goddamn weird I think I’m being, because a lot of them want it too and they’re not finding it as easily as a lot of the more popular stuff. 

So like . . . hope at least some of that was helpful, feel free to ask follow-up questions if you have any, hah.

Here’s a little opinion I have about why Star came down from the sky to help out Asha. Or maybe this is just a little interpretation from late night thoughts.

So we all know that Asha sang to the sky about wanting more for the people of Rosas, such as getting their dreams and wishes back (even tho they live rent free and everything). Nevertheless, her wish is selfless and is focused on everyone else, not herself.

The scene where she meets Star and she says “I just want their wishes to have a chance”, in my opinion, proves that selflessness.

Asha knows what it’s like to have a wish/dream crushed. When she was younger, all she wished for was for her father Tomás (yes that’s his real name. It’s in the art book of Wish), to get better from an illness. He never did and died when Asha was 12. So we can speculate or obviously consider the fact that Asha’s primary goal is to make sure no one (in the safest way possible, because she knows there are bad wishes- she’s not dumb) experiences that loss and pain. That’s why she signs up to be King Magnifico’s apprentice, not because she wants Sabino’s wish granted. She even says “that’s why I want to work for you” to Magnifico after his speech to her during the interview.

Yes, I will admit that her asking Magnifico to consider granting her grandfather’s wish was a little out of line but in all honesty we’d all do that (unless you have hella anxiety about asking for things then ayy same). But in truth she never demanded it, she simply asked him to consider granting his wish. She was open to the possibility of him not granting her grandfather’s wish because the key word is ‘consider’, but didn’t expect the whole keeping most of the wishes thing forever- which is why the argument occurred. They both got valid arguments ngl.

By the way, before anyone attacks me- I love both characters deeply and I think they’re both right and wrong and that the conflict could’ve been solved if the wish system was reformed and more clear. Not everyone is just good or just evil (no one is a villain in this movie, man, really it’s just the damn book. They’re all humans who think like humans and act like humans). Again, I adore them both. Anyways- I think I’m losing track.

So we know that Asha’s goal is to give the people of Rosas a chance to pursue their dreams themselves. Imo, that’s entirely selfless. And as for those bad wishes, Asha is aware there should be a regulation for those and should be stopped- so of course, she’s advocating for the good wishes. I know some are vague but- okay that is for a different possible post. I’m going to get on with the deal between Star and Asha.

Asha is selfless, period. She never wants something solely for herself and she barely even thinks about what she wants for herself only. She even got a magic wand twice and tried to reject it the second time she got it. Yayay selfless heroine. I’m sorry it’s late at night right now.

The moment Star comes down from the sky is seemingly the first appearance of a wishing star ever. At least to the kingdom of Rosas that is. I like to think that there are multiple stars out there and this one seemed to hear Asha’s pleas. My belief is that the more selfless, kind-hearted, and passionate a wish is… the more likely a star will actually come down to help you out.

LIKE WITH HOW FAIRIES ARE BORN IN THE TINKERBELLE MOVIES WHERE A CHILD’S FIRST LAUGH BLOWS AWAY A DANDELION SEED AND A FAIRY IS BORN- oh my god that’s genius. Now I like the idea of these wishing stars being born from selfless wishes 😭 I need to sleep.

Also the fact that Asha’s father was a philosopher who talked about stars all the time, and taught Asha about the stars. We know all about that ya’ll I don’t gotta explain. She wished to the sky for a while now that I think about it.

Yeah that’s all I gotta say for that. Gonna also clarify that I recognize that Asha is a little naive in the movie, but she’s not purely dumb- maybe another post for another day idk. I love her anyways (don’t worry I love Magnifico, I choose both of their sides but this isn’t about him. If you think i don’t like him istg I love magnifico i think about him 24/7 on the dot every hour help me).

My thoughts are a little jumbled, but I’d like to put out more posts on my interpretations despite my worries. I’ll try my best to get my words out, but at the end of the day, this is all fictional and all in good fun. Good night ✨

• Lü Bu is literally 30, so you’re not all too younger than him HH- But the fact that you see him as such is something strange to him. He's never been seen as a Father before, and that only makes him think of the man that had taken care of him.

And considering that you are kind of weak, as well as the amount of time he's spent with you... he's seen you bonding with others, but showing your own strength in certain situations as well. Hell, you even bonded with Chen and Lü Bu himself. (Even if it looked as if he didn't exactly care too much.)

Even if Lü Bu never did seem like it, he did have his eye on you mostly. You may be strong in certain ways, but you're still weak. He found himself slightly wanting to protect you, just as a parent would to a child.

Perhaps this would work out. As long as you didn't die like his Father did.

All in all, he was confused about it for a few moments, but eventually accepted it after keeping an eye on you for a little while.

So I have some THOUGHTS about episode 9 now that I finally was able to watch it, so I’m gonna ramble on about them below the readmore

- The brief flashback to Knives and Vash playing the piano together was interesting, not only in that it means both of them are fairly talented on the instrument, but also because it means the song that Knives has been playing in the times we’ve seen him has been only one-half of the full thing perhaps? I’m sure there’s something quite symbolic about it and how it pertains to the brothers being so interconnected, so I wonder how that might show up later 🤔

- Though I would have preferred to get some more depth to Knives via the scenes with Tesla (since that both showcases the stark difference between their viewpoints and establishes a really good reason for Knives to fear/hate humans so much) I did like that we got to see a direct act that shows the audience just how little the common population thinks of plants as anything more than tools

- “We’ve hit the production limit. They put too great a load on the plants, it cut them off from the higher dimension. They can’t maintain their bodies.” <- I have no clue what the hell that’s supposed to mean but, as the person becoming known in this fandom as the feral plant headcanon-er, I am VERY interested to see if they’ll ever elaborate on that since the manga/first anime never did. *shakes the Stampede series* LET ME KNOW THE SECRETS OF THE INTER-DIMENSIONAL ALIENS

- The ‘Last Run’ scene in general was fairly disturbing, but I know that was the point in order to hit home how Knives so far has interacted with humans (the mental pain had to be horrible, given how bad the distress of a single plant had affected Vash)—but who was the man he was with? Was that supposed to be Conrad? Has Knives already started up his cult?

- Even though Knives totally murdered some dudes, he sure did look cool while doing it

- “Outside of human control, plants use up all their energy in one burst and die.” / “So you bought into that nonsense… No matter how comfortable, chains are still chains.” 🫣

- WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON WITH VASH’S ARM

- “Is that… a gate?” WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT AT SOME POINT THANK YOU

- I find it interesting how Vash losing his arm was not from the direct influence of Knives—either his Angel Arm doesn’t exist, or its a wildly different kind of power. Either way, Knives having to make a split-second decision to remove his brother’s arm in order to keep that ‘gate’ (looks like a black hole to me tbh) from swallowing up everything is a really neat twist on intention.

- I saw a post recently joking about Knives being utterly obsessed with his brother and I thought it was hyperbole. I SEE THAT IT IN FACT ISNT. Knives you are a lonely fucker I swear to god.

- Last episode I was so confused on the timeline and was worried that they had shortened the time between the flashbacks to the present day—and I’m super happy to be wrong! Putting Luida and Bradley in cryosleep in order to prolonged their lives was a very creative way to keep those characters interacting with Vash.

- Meryl being SO surprised and impressed by flowers really hit home that they straight up DON’T exist on Noman’s Land…. which, jesus, that was a surprise. I assumed at best sickly little potted plants might have existed, but none? Very interesting…

- Roberto being pessimistic is really hitting home that I know he’s going to die soon and will likely be replaced with Milly in the following seasons. I really enjoy the way his character pairs with Meryl’s energy and positive realism 😭

- Ngl Zazie the Beast is lightly growing on me, mostly as a neat antagonist since they represent the native species on Noman’s Land before anyone else arrived. Wonder if their alliance will alter at any point…

TWO HAN SOOYOUNGS! Well, okay, there’s technically always been two Han Sooyoungs but ngl I completely forgot that she mentioned a clone that ran off. Or so she says, anyway. Because why not add another mystery onto our mystery? Which Han Sooyoung is the original? Which is the avatar? (Honestly I don’t even care, I love them both.) Absolutely was not expecting the other person Secretive Plotter made an Outer World Covenant with to be her, though of course that makes the most sense actually. And his words were lowkey foreshadowing if you think about it with the whole “I’m expecting much bigger things.” Yeah, because Dokja’s actually read the entire novel whereas Sooyoung hasn’t so he's expecting more from the guy who's read it all. And that's not even getting into how Secretive Plotter was immediately drawn to Dokja (and perhaps Sooyoung too). I've thought for a long time that he was away of who Dokja was or at least what he could do. And speaking of the original novel, everything is so mixed up right now. We’re getting into some real hardcore sci-fi alternate universes and parallel timelines kinda stuff. Though I did vaguely feel like something like this was coming. Not this specifically but the fact that the novel isn’t halfway through did actually make me wonder if we weren’t going to start the story over (like maybe Dokja was going to regress somehow) or something weird like that. Wasn’t expecting to jump into Sooyoung’s version of the 1863rd round, but if Dokja is going to start looking into other worlds, this does make sense. Now I’m really wondering what’s gonna happen with all of these different versions of TWSA. Will it be Dokja vs Sooyoung for who’s final chapter will prevail? Or will the worlds not merge at all and they can continue to reach their own final chapters? Since Secretive Plotter specifically asked "what about the other worlds" will Dokja's goal moving into the second half of the story now involve saving them too? And, wow, on an entirely different note, it’s actually kind of terrifying how easily Dokja was able to completely neutralize not only Joonghyuk, but the strongest Joonghyuk who’s existed 1863 rounds. No, not even neutralize, but turn him into his own personal mindless weapon. I mean, sure, Fourth Wall started it by making it so that he could be affected by the regressor depression but Dokja is terrifying in applying his knowledge of all of Joonghyuk’s best and worst moments. Which, on that topic, it’s honestly upsetting to see this world where everyone has managed to survive together until the end—the very world that Dokja has so carefully being trying to create—and Joonghyuk is still alone. 😭 They're off in their little base together like some kind of family and he's treated like some kind of beast to hunt down. 😭 And why is he alone? “Because he’s a bad guy who won’t hesitate to kill to fulfill his goals.” Uh...you guys literally have Kim Namwoon on your team and Han Sooyoung is not the most merciful person for a leader. Are you really ones to talk??? Yeah, Joonghyuk is a killing machine but you're telling me nobody on this team has killed people to fulfill their goals? What??? Especially since Dokja, the guy who has read the entire novel and knows intimately how truly awful Joonghyuk can be, still chose to reach out to him again and again and again and again until it finally stuck. Joonghyuk isn't some depressed, murderous monster in his world because Dokja did everything in his power to prevent it. Joonghyuk didn't have to end up like this. Again. Admittedly, even Dokja says that he got lucky finding Joonghyuk in his third round whereas Sooyoung seems to have found him in his last, but even in this round with a much scarier and more jaded Joonghyuk already in the 95th scenario, Dokja is still refusing to kill him even after he already attacked him, even if he knows that if Joonghyuk snaps out of his weird trance he will absolutely try to murder him.

If you don't mind, could you give us a tutorial or brief explanation on how you render hair? /nf

YES!! unfortunately i got. very tired after making this so this is only one hair type :( was gonna go into all the different types of hair textures but. i will just have to do that later. also keep in mind i drew this in like. 7 minutes its just a simple guide to get out the basic steps

^i didn't put music in this so. listen to whatever u want while ur watching this (its 6 minutes 40 seconds). also its slightly sped up this isn't real speed

elaboration of each step under read more:

step 0: look at other hair tutorials/pictures of real hair to figure out how light reflects off of them. then completely disregard that and just make things up (this is the best artistic process trust me i do it every day)

step 1: just get out that basic shape. it doesnt have to be anything fancy,

step 2: just fill it in and adjust the shape as needed

step 3: figure out how the hair moves and flows, which parts go out more (highlights), which parts are closer to the head (shadows/base), etc. i highly recommend just looking at pictures of hair online, or taking pictures of your own hair. for coily/curly hair, you just kind of have to do this for each curl/coil. one thing to keep in mind the highlight is in the middle of the curl/coil and the shadows are on the edges (usually). i'll elaborate more on that once i have an actual video for it

step 4: just make it so the edges of the highlights transition a bit more smoothly into the base color. it just helps for later steps tbh. try not to over do it, don't want to completely get rid of the highlight, just soften it

step 5: add more highlights with thinner brush. this should be where the light would bounce off the hair the MOST. i think i forgot to say in the video uhhh add in some base value too. maybe a few shadows. mostly this step is for highlights tho.

step 6: idk what else to put here sorry. ngl just get silly with it

step 7: it is very important to do one stroke per area in this one. do not lift your pen off the screen/tablet/whatever until the little area youre working on is one smooth transparent shade, then move on to the next. idk if i'm explaining this right hopefully this makes sense.

step 8: complete opposite as step seven. make as many strokes as you feel it needs. not TOO many, just enough to get some texture and then some yk? i recommend making a copy of the layer youre working on before doing this so that if you mess something up you can always go back to square one.

also a lot of these steps apply to pretty much any hair type just. in a completely different shape with completely different rules. which is to say its exactly like this but it actually isn't like this at all. which is why i plan on making other videos some day (hopefully) also look up "hair texture chart" it will help you find the words you need to look up good refs

remember: always get silly with it. the only rule to to make things up and change your mind 400 times. bring a 'fuck it, we ball' mentality to your art program that the haters (your brain) really won't like. practice makes perfect and all that, do NOT expect to get something good first try, sometimes i still struggle with drawing hair in a way that i like and just scrap the whole thing. also i'm not kidding about those real hair reference pictures it helps so so much

OH this took me ten years buT I HAVE ANSWERS!!!

12. What’s something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific! “Dear Cod.” It was something from a previous group of folks he and Razor had been hanging around for a bit- one of them fished up a rare enchant after hours of trying to get literally anything useful and made the comment “Dear God I thought I’d never get anything.” and every single other person heard him say ‘dear cod’. By then it was late at night n they were all tired and so it was the absolute funniest thing in the world made funnier by how vehemently he tried to stand firm on the fact that he’d said ‘dear God’ and not ‘dear cod’. He makes the reference sometimes still and it gets a chuckle from Razor, and whenever Razor pulls it out (though it can also be partially attributed to just how serious Razor is so he doesn’t joke much anyway) Fire absolutely loves it and laughs so hard. 10/10 comedy every time.

The first time he heard Tyr mutter it to herself when she was trying to figure out how to get one of her newer cats to cooperate out in the main room he lost it. Could not stop laughing for the next five minutes at least.

46. Are they a listener or a talker? If they’re a listener, what makes them talk? If they’re a talker, what makes them listen? I was going to say listener, but the more I thought about it the more I thought that… he might actually be a talker. If he’s fun bouncy sanguine he’s prolly a talker. So what would make him listen, then… I suppose Razor can make him listen, but that’s on virtue of being viewed as more of the decision-maker of the group, n he knows well enough that Razor usually has good ideas. Other than that, though… I suppose quiet might would make him listen- recognizing that he’s talking over someone and it’s Not Good and needs to hush. Hm. I personally think I’m more of a listener so I’m not really sure like. what would make a talker listen slkdhgkl I think that might be as good of an answer as I can give? I dunno. He listens to Razor and he listens to quiet.

52. Do they act on their immediate emotions, or do they wait for the facts before acting? Depends! If it’s more happy/positive, he’s keen to jump to action immediately, but if he’s feeling more negative- sad/angry, etc, he’ll think more on what to do or at least take a second/minute to compose himself. It’s usually bc he’s gonna try to ‘fix things’ and bring the mood back up. It… doesn’t always work though, and he kinda flounders when it doesn’t. If it doesn't, it can end up with him spending some time alone mining to clear his head a bit, and also to let whatever's going on calm down.

57. What’s a simple daily activity / motion that they mess up often? I’m gonna be honest, this is one that’s stumped me like. the most, probably. Is that something that a lot of ppl have, like something that they need to do constantly that they usually mess up? Bc ngl like…. I don’t really see him having much of anything that’s like. a simple daily thing that he messes up often. I think I’ll leave it at an “I don’t think he has one” but if I think of something later I’ll come back and edit this to include it :V

58. How many hobbies have they attempted to have over their lifetime? Is there a common theme? I think he’s the kind of person to have tried many, many different things! So there’s no common theme other than ‘is this new? Sure, I’ll try!’ He likes to go out and learn and discover and make new friends and find new things that he likes, so he’s very keen on trying stuff out. If he doesn’t like it then he at least knows he doesn’t, and if he does, then it’s a win!

Aiight so once again, no one asked for this so ofc I’m gonna share my opinions (story spoiler free) on the newest Integrated Strategies incarnation!

I’ve completed every ending with every squad and gotten all the collectibles already, which went MUCH faster than IS2. But as I continue to play through all the difficulty levels (yes I’m a masochist) I expect some of these thoughts to change.

Worst 3rd floor boss - Eternal Wrath

Saint Iberia only has one shot, but he will wipe your entire party if you don’t murk him before he comes around the bend, especially if you don’t have a fast redeploy to get rid of the radar people

Hardest battle node - Out of Control (Emergency)

Straight cancer. 😭 You gotta park everyone up at the blue boxes and pray you somehow survive the first half of the stage with all them running enraged Sarkaz fucks. Honorable mention - Ubi bona somnia (Emergency) cause WHYYYY are there two Origitant mutants here???

Easiest endgame node - Curse of Cognition

Very straightforward stage, especially if you can stun the boss to where it falls down and your melee Operators can curb stomp it

Hardest endgame node - Fate’s Favored Child

I guess since BSL in IS2 happened, the 2nd ending boss is always gonna be terribly fucking annoying. Freezing Operators each attack they do??? Straight up running to the exit in second phase and can only be hit by ranged units??? The mobs?? FUCK YOU

Hardest Encounter Battle - Business Empire?

Ngl I have not reliably beat this stage yet without major leaks because holy shit I wasn’t prepared to fight all three side characters at once! It also pops up very rarely for me due to RNG so I don’t get much practice either

Hardest relic to get - Last Refrain

Don’t talk to me about this stupid thing; I have done over 100 runs I swear and I only got this Encounter ONCE and that was after I had already gotten all endings multiple times over and my light was at like 10 or something on the run

Best improvement over IS2 - easier to unlock different ending events

There were SO MANY runs I did in IS2 that didn’t pan out because I only got one encounter out of the two I needed to open up the 3rd or 4th endings. This does not happen to me in IS3

Worst “improvement” over IS2 - not enough Encounter nodes

It’s cool to have Wonderland stuff or Dispatches or Tulip Commissions but I think the ratio is kinda off. If you’re tryna get all the relics this can be annoying cause you’ll only have a handful of Encounter modes to aim for per run

What I miss from IS2 that ain’t make it into IS3 - Shadow relic

I absolutely loved getting this relic and trying to build a squad full of nothing but temp recruitments, cause it’s not only a way to try out Operators you may not own, it makes it fun to figure out strats with the most random but maxed out group of Operators ever

Goated Operators (very subjective and general):

Goldenglow (nothing is beating her global range and relic synergy)

Horn (just her s1 alone will clear maps)

Flametail (synergy with relics that increase attack upon dodge)

Texas the Ometerosa (she trivializes most of this content especially with relics)

Pozemyoka (want to beat the 3rd ending boss in 8 seconds right from stage start? She’s your girl)

Gnosis (freezing flying Seaborn will ground them and it’s so funny to watch)

Lappland (her silence is goated, we learned this during the Stultivera Navis event)

Whisperain & Lumen (you are gonna need that status resistance especially if you are fighting The Last Knight)

Mulberry (she has higher elemental damage recovery than Honeyberry who was the MVP of IS2)

Blue Poison (her S1, especially if mastered, is unmatched. Even better than Exu)

Jaye (you will not fear the Water & Fire Union stage if you have him)

Thorns (ironically I don’t choose him UNLESS I can quickly E2 him because he’s mid without access to his S3)

Highmore (she doesn’t beat La Pluma in anything EXCEPT IS3, and I always start a run with her cause her 3-block is delicious)

OK TODAY I HAD A DREAM ABT THE CORINTHIAN LISTEN UP.

I’m gonna try to make it make sense bc there were some weird bits to it, but here goes the gist of it:

It began at a nerd shop that used to exist in my town (which closed down a couple of months ago, actually). The clerk was closing up for the night, giving the big window a wash and all that, when the Corinthian, in all white and beige clothes, black shades and everything, shows up. He doesn’t walk in through the door, just pop! He’s there, and he starts going through the books at the counter, like he’s searching for something. There was also a cat, a yellow tortie, who slipped in through the open door, but idk what the cat’s deal was. Anyway.

The clerk notices he’s there and tells him he can’t be there, that they’re closed. The Corinthian turns to him slowly, like he knew the guy was there the whole time and ignored him, until he made the mistake of speaking up. He smiles, you know the smile. Charming but in a creepy way, the kind that gives you chills down your spine. He starts toward the clerk, but before he can say anything, I’m there. 

I don’t know how it happened, I was watching the scene unfold and suddenly I was part of it. Maybe I was the cat? No idea. 

Point is, I’m there, I turn to the clerk and I tell him: “I’ll take care of this. You should probably go home.”

The clerk leaves without protest, he’s out the door in a flash and who can blame him? I wouldn’t want the Corinthian giving me that hungry smile like he can taste my eyeballs already, either. It’s just me and him in the shop now, and he looks a bit annoyed that I interrupted any interaction with the poor clerk. He goes back to rummaging through the books (no idea why, I never found out). Meanwhile, I go to the window and push the blinds down so we can have privacy from any on-lookers outside. 

I go up to him and I say: “Corinthian. You know I’ll have to report this to Lord Morpheus, don’t you?”

He turns to me then, that rebellious smirk on his face, and shrugs. “Go ahead. I don’t care anymore. In fact...”

We hear a buzzing sound: it’s his phone going off. He pulls it out from his pocket and shows me the screen. It’s Dream. 

(Side note, I don’t know HOW DREAM GOT A PHONE or how he’s using it, but it’s him, I know it in my soul).

The Corinthian slides to answer, but he doesn’t put it on speaker, or even brings it to his ear, he just holds the phone in his hand. I can’t hear anyone speaking from the other side, and neither him nor I say anything. We simply stare at each other, as if we’re challenging one another to talk first. He ends the call without a single word being spoken, steps up to me in that deliberately slow gait of a predator (ngl he towered over me and it was scary af) and he says: “I don’t give a fuck anymore whether he knows where I am or not. Go on and report. Makes no difference to me.”

And with that, he turns his back on me and walks out the door.

NOW HERE’S THE REAL KICKER OF THE DREAM, Y’ALL ARE GONNA LOVE THIS: I watch him go, I hesitate, but decide to go after him. It’s pouring rain outside, and it’s freezing, but there’s a cover over the shop’s front so it’s fine. I call out to the Corinthian, and I remember feeling so determined, so resolute in my conviction to what I’m about to do next, and also burning with curiosity. 

He stops in his tracks, looks back at me... And I ask, rather incredulously: “You never told me, does your heart beat?”

He returns to my side, stares down at me and opens his arms. “See for yourself.”

So I step up (cautiously) to him, I put my right ear RIGHT ON HIS CHEST, and there it is: a heart beat, strong and calm and strangely soothing, I remember feeling so instantly at peace and good while listening to it that I even closed my eyes and leaned fully against him. He was so warm and it was so cold out in the street, I swear I could have stayed there listening to his heart for the whole night. I think I was a little bit in love with him for a second, LOOOL. But then I caught myself, stood back and looked up at him with wide eyes, I couldn’t believe what I had just witnessed, and he gives me this smile that is just so... sad. No joy at all, just an empty smile, and he asks me: “Do you understand, now?”

I can’t think of anything to say.

He starts to walk away in the rain, and I stand there for a long ass moment weighting my options, torn between reporting back to Dream because I’m loyal to him (was I a dream myself, I wonder?) and following the Corinthian. I want to know more, I want to go with him and help him find whatever he’s looking for, but just as I start running to catch up to him and reach out to grab his arm, like literal miliseconds away from my fingers touching the sleeve of his coat, MY FUCKING ALARM GOES OFF AND I WOKE UP. SMH.

It was such an amazing dream, I wish it could have gone on for longer. And it’s giving me so many fic ideas, ohhh yes!

Nimona appreciation post (Part 1 of I don't even know how many there will be)

Sooo, I'm rewatching Nimona for probably the 100th time now and I just need to fangirl/rant a bit to someone but as I don't have friends who liked the movie as much as me, I'm gonna write a little (or more like long) post about the first movie that touched my heart like this since forever. This is mostly going to be about details and stuff that just got to me and probably not in the order you see it in the movie (I'm gonna try but it's not gonna be 100% correct), so please bear with me. Pic for attention btw lol I did read the comic but only after watching the movie and ngl I like the movie better, maybe I wouldv'e liked it better if I read it when it came out/I was younger Also have a lil spoiler warning, just in case.

the beginning with Nimona narrating Gloreth's myth is nice and I really like the style.

loving the eyes of the 'monster' when she says "because the monsters are always out there"

"The Knight to knight"- Theme is sooo good and I looove that there is a bit of Ballisters Theme in it too

the music as a whole for the movie was soooo goood, Christophe Beck didn't nee to go that hard, but he did and I'm really thankful for that

the only line of the movie I wanted to hear in the dub of my first language/mother tongue gets delivered so good. Btw I watched the movie exclusively in english (eng dub and sub), just changed the dub for that one line but damn the amount of laughing I did after the delivery of "And tonight's the night we knight the knights!" in the german dub made my stomach hurt

the establishment of Bal as our main hero is so nice, I'm already proud of his accomplishments even tho we didn't really got to know him until now

I still think that maybe Bal is a secret child of the queen, look at them together when he was a child, you can't tell me otherwise, that head canon lives rent-free in my head

the introduction of Ambrosius is also good, you immediatly think he is some kind of Jock/Douche/Bully with all that Sportdrink-Ad, his "Hi", the sparkling Tooth-thingy, the "Woo!" and taking a photo-thing

the VA of the "It's not what Gloreth wanted"-Girl did such a good job ngl

the shot of Bal alone on that Balcony (?) watching the reporter ask if they will accept him even tho he might not be right and hearing the people boo kinda hit me a bit to hard for the fact that that problem for me is just in my head and not something I have a problem with in the society I'm in

Ambrosius jokingly asking that question and being a goofy guy surprised my the first time around and it's just cute to see, I guess

their eyes and smiles and stuff in the first few seconds you see them together just immediatly made me ship them

Bals little smile when Amb says he's gonna be a night is too precious

you won't believe how I screamed at the "They're gonna love you, like I do."-Scene and I still am in love with that scene, it gives me such a warm feeling

just telling you now, I don't know how to describe it but I'm kind of in love with their love, all the little things you notice when you really look at them interacting and stuff

also loving how Bal just leans his whole body with head on Ambs shoulder <3 it's as if he's made to be there

the heart eyes when Amb helped Bal with his armour

also funny how different their armour is: Amb has gold armour cause Gloreth probably; Bal has black armour which looks older, heavier, clunkier if you will that just shows how much more he had to work for the position he's in; Todd has silver/iron armour like the rest of the knights but it looks a bit shinier in my eyes, probably cause he's a bit of an attention seeker

Loving Ambs whole reactions when Todd messes with Bal, the twisting of his eyes when Todd first comes in to contact with Bal, the immediate angry eyes, him glancing at Todds Arm/Hand on Bals shoulder, him tensing up a few times while Tod talks, you can visibly see him breath btw (the animation team did nopt mess around), how he catches Bal as if it's nothing, his eyes going big and him getting visibly madder when Todd touches Bals face/chin and his absolutely ready-to-throw-down-body language

Same scene just Bal: he's a bit confused first, then exchanging glances with Amb, him looking a bit angry when Todd fist bumps his armour, his short glance forward when Todd just stops mid sentence, his "I knew it, he's still a lil d*ck"-look, also interesting how his eyes always stay on Todds eyes even tho Todd is very jumpy in this scene, his lil side glance to Amb when Todd shouts: "Hey, everybody" knowing how ready Amb is to deck that idiot straight in the face, also him holding Amb back and shaking his head a bit

the nervous Squire who should've just manne up a bit dang it

Bal immediatly noticing something is wrong with his sword and being distracted by the Squire

my hate for the director grows everytime I hear her saying "Today is the day the kingdom will see you for who you really are." (but great foreshadowing that she's the big evil)

Amb being the only one who just says "Director" instead of some form of thank you just shows to me that he prob had a bit of privilege even among the other knights

Bal probably would've been everyones favourite student/knight if he would've been a noble

Bal riding out in the arena is me at every event, especially if there are more than like 3 people looking at me lol

doesn't matter what anyone says: Boldheart fits this character way more than Blackheart (the latter fits the comic version, but Boldheart is so much better for movie!Bal in my opinion)

the queens little guesture when he says that anyone who wants to hold the sword could do so i kinda cute and he seems like a good leader who probably was working hard to get everyone to be equal

Ambrosiu' paniced look and how he chop off Bals arm (instead of just disarming or something) says everything about how that society is (instead of trying to confront a problem just destroy it at the roots)

I find it kinda funny that in the subs a man shouts "Arret him! He kille the queen!" when that "man" ounds so much like Todd

Bal is such a badass for building his own arm and stuff, I really don't wanna go to the psychological and physically trauma he ha to have gone through/still going through until and at that moment

Bal basically is such a competent person until he thinks/lookss at Ambrosius, then it's almost as if he has just one braincell

I like the lyrics the moment he turn the radio off, I mean: "Red lights flash so we run and we hide" and he probably thinks that the knocks are police/knights

alright so, im finally on my computer so i can type this all out. remember the introduction of B from work? yeah, well things have developed in a way that's........ugh but also not ugh. let me explain, this is gonna be long.

The last two weeks have been very....interesting. Things have moved pretty fucking fast ngl. So we left off on the second day B and I had ever interacted, back when it was just a simple awkward Hello at work. Well, after that I told B that I was gonna invite him to breakfast with my dairy crew and asked for his number, he told me he dropped something on his head and that's why he went home early. After that we kind of texted but he's like, really bad at responding. Like, it would be a day or more with no response so I was like, ughhhh.

Well, I finally got him to talking about plants because he loves them, and we looked at the plants at our store after work, then we walked to his car and talked. He told me to pick three things and he'll choose one for us to do outside of work. So we made a plan to go hiking. At this point, we're talking more and he's responding better. I'm still doing most of the talking but he's actually saying things now. (He also said he's gonna make a powerpoint to answer all my shit because I talk so much lmfao he never did but whatever)

Anyway, he tells me about his life and that he's divorced, that was a shock tbh. He seems too young to be divorced already but whatever, nbd idc. Anyway, he then tells me he's not sure if he's emotionally or mentally ready for a relationship because he doesn't want to put his remaining issues onto someone so he said "is it okay if we're just friends for awhile?" and ya know, that immediately put up a red flag because i've been told that before. But he seems sweet and we vibe literally so fucking well. So it's okay, I'm cool with being friends with him. He's great. So the next day he invites me to Lowes to look at plants and he bought me starbucks, then we went to the park and walked the trail and to the dog park with his cute ass DOGGGGGG. He's literally so adorable with his dog, yall its tough not to fall for him.

So we hang out like 3 hours or so, and have been texting so much since. The day after that, he facetimed me and showed me all his plants and garden and we made a spontaneous plan to go hiking at the state park, so i got ready and he picked me up and we went out there and hiked. I've never been hiking yall, but it was fun. We talked a lot, joked around, and it was great. We have the same energy but he's more extroverted and goofy. He also kept looking at me and I was like "what" and he said "nothing just figuring things out" and he claimed he was just being weird but like, why would you say that smh lmfao

So, we were texting later that day and about crushes and things and he asked if I wanted to be FWB, which kinda shocked me like, ok so he does like me, but here we go again. I've had a FWB before where they didn't want a relationship but just wanted to use me. So I was like, red flag #2.

However, he's so fucking cute, so hell yeah im gonna do that wtf. Anyway, so we've basically hung out every single day, and we talk rapid fire now, there's no issues with responding. We haven't done anything but kiss, and we don't even sext or anything. Its just kinda flirty sometimes, its like starting to date someone rather than a FWB.

But on Thursday he asked if he could come over on his lunch break and hang out, because we're off on different days, so i super cleaned and he came over and was so kind and gentle with my cats and we talked and hung out and he fucking kissed me and it was so nice. We didn't like, full on makeout but we kept kissing and hes so playful. He snooped around my apartment and had knocked over my painted as I tried to stop him from going upstairs, and it knocked my Castial pop vinyl into my candle and melted the box lmfao yikes. But it was all playful and fun and very touchy. And he's just so sweet and kind...

Then he came over Friday on our lunch break and we hung out in my bed and he literally grabbed me from behind and walked me to my bed and kissed me, pulled me down on top of him and kissed me on the bed. like bro......BRO

He didn't try to do anything else, hes been very respectful and im just like, bro fucking take me, TAKE ME RIGHT NOW BC THIS TEASING IS TOO MUCH, HOW IS THIS REAL

and today he told me his best friend who we work with invited me to their Sunday Football hangouts like.....B told me he wasn't gonna tell anyone bc he didn't want people hounding him about it but he's talking about me enough that his friend is personally inviting me????

So today he's gonna come over and hang out, hopefully lmfao and god. GOD. Yall this is such a mistake because hes so kind and sweet and cute and we match each other so well and I feel like maybe i'm reading into his looks and behaviors too much but hes so genuine and sweet to me.

Then when i went to my car on break, he had left a starburst on my door handle........and he gave me veggies from his garden, OH AND HE GAVE ME ONE OF HIS PLANTS yall.............this isnt real.........this is so fucking insane............
