being the manga guy at work means that my coworkers will dump anyone with so much of a hint of a question abt the section on me lmfao. which is fine, it’s what i’m here for, but leads to some interesting conversations and some truly cringy interactions with well-meaning but extremely out-of-touch parents.
so like shoutout to the older white guy buying chirstmas presents for his daughter who asked if ‘dragon slayer’ was ok for his eleven year old (kny…. and the answer is yeah sure thats p much the target demo) . very baffled by his daughter’s interests. said he thinks she must have been japanese in a past life. spoke at great length abt the dynamics of her friend group/group chat, and the drama that occurred when one of her friends was a horse girl and not an anime girl and spoke disparagingly abt the groups interests and was subsequently shunned and deleted and blocked from the group lmfao middle schoolers are the same everywhere. and that most of her friends were filipino, and is it mostly asian people who like this stuff (and the answer is no, random white guy with a part-asian daughter, race does not result in an inherent inclination towards japanese cartoons, ya fuckin weirdo)
anyway he bought like two how to draw manga books and the complete boxset of demon slayer and a figuarts zero nezuko and a nezuko plushie so like. im really good at my job i guess.

Working toward change means it takes time and hard work. The phases you not feeling stable are okay, and enjoy your life in the in-between.
Now how do I tell my body dysmorphia?
Its nonscale victory anyway. I'm getting brave with exposure of my body. It's my first 2 piece without a skirt, my thighs are my anxiety spot.
Now im going to the beach and gonna figure out how to get in and out of the water while not feeling like a manatee.

This submit initially appeared on ZeMing M. Gao’s web site, and we republished with permission from the creator. Learn the complete piece right here.‘Code is law’ is a proud crypto proclamation. Some might even regard it as an inviolable creed. Few query it. However often, some courageous folks do voice doubt. Here's a latest post on Twitter:“Code is law,” the phrase, is a metaphor which is helpful when it comes to framing sensible realities of using sensible contract code however will not be right when it comes to describing code as an alternative to constructive legislation. – Preston ByrneI'd largely agree with the assertion, particularly the second half.However extra precisely, I outline a so-called ‘smart contract’ as follows:A wise contract is an automatic execution of a change of ‘a state of value’ of a authorized contract.Within the above definition, each indefinite articles ‘a’ in ‘a change of a state of value’ are operative, as a result of (1) not each facet of a authorized contract is or entails a ‘state of value’; (2) a authorized contract might have a couple of state of worth; (3) not each ‘state of value’ requires a change that must be executed robotically; and (4) additional not each ‘change’ of each ‘state of value’ may be absolutely automated.With the above definition, it’s clear that a sensible contract will not be, and can't be, the ‘law’ in any definitional sense, however solely an automated enforcement of a sure value-exchange facet of a authorized contract, which itself will not be even the legislation however solely a particular aspect of an settlement that complies with and advantages from the legislation.Failure to know the scope of the fact of a authorized contract is what led technocrats right into a incredible false perception of the ‘code is law.’As well as, within the above definition of a sensible contract, a ‘state of value’ is native (that's, contract-specific), not world (i.e., systemwide). Failing to know this necessary matter is what led to world account-based sensible contract techniques like Ethereum, that are basically nonscalable resulting from a completely flawed design quite than a brief technical limitation.In distinction, Satoshi’s UTXO-based Bitcoin blockchain provides us the facility to assemble an infinite variety of ‘state machines’ that are unbiased (parallel) from one another however are freely combinational. However equivocation of such parallel state machines and world account-based state machines is what triggered the catastrophe of nonscalable Ethereum and plenty of extra nonscalable disasters that come out of it.What's a contract?In the identical Twitter thread, Ian Grigg wrote:“The contract is the keystone of the relationship between trading parties, ..you can ignore it, but it won’t ignore you. You can’t build a real system without contracts, so crypto is still mucking around before the stone age, before the arch, and wondering why their buildings keep falling down.”That's precisely true, but in addition precisely what the crypto world doesn't perceive.Particularly, they don’t perceive what a ‘contract’ actually is.And that’s why they referred to as an automated enforcement aspect of a contract a ‘smart contract,’ not figuring out that the enforcement itself might imply nothing when there isn't a underlying authorized contract. However they suppose that a piece of code itself constitutes a whole authorized contract. No marvel folks so simply fall for contractless NFTs that don't have any clear contractual definition of any authorized property. They nonetheless haven’t discovered. If the time is ripe, extra waves of contractless NFTs will once more catch folks’s creativeness. As a result of why not, the code is legislation, and muh contract is wise.Watch: Sensible contracts are neither ‘smart’ nor ‘contracts’[embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VZrmNYdfW8[/embed] width=”562″ top=”315″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”>New to blockchain? Here are more photos of my GameToys “1:6″ scale Sephiroth figure. He is gorgeous as I already mentioned, the most beautiful Sephiroth there is. His facial paint apps are just not as detailed nor as precise as the prototype’s, which were more likely than not, “enhanced” in an editing program.
I am going to attempt repainting his lips at some point, because they always seem to want to pain his lips a lot smaller than how they are sculpted. Even the prototype for this one, has the lips painted a lot larger, so it’s a mystery to me why Square Enix, and even GT fail to follow the sculpt’s lip size...? >_>;;
I also took two comparison photos between GT Sephy, and Square Enix Play Arts Kai Remake Sephiroth. The PAK is obviously a lot smaller, he is not a scaled figure -- his clothes are also all made out of plastic, as is the figure as a whole. The GameToys Sephiroth is a clothed “1:6″ figure, and I use quotation marks, because I am pretty sure Sephiroth was supposed to be 6′1″ in the OG FFVII game, but I don’t know if SE has since then made him a lot taller, becuse this figure is around 13″ tall. He would still be 12″+ even if he was 6′3″, not a whole other inch taller. I don’t really mind, I am not planning on getting anymore GT figures, although I am tempted by Zack, I don’t think these are worth the $300+, they are going for. They are very nice looking in promos, a bit too flawless, but reality is a bit far from the actual enhanced promos. Unless they are using an amazingly talented person to do the prototype’s paint apps, but fail to deliver. In which case, it would still not be worth it to me. Hot Toys do have a few flaws on their final painted faces, but not a world apart. Like it is in this case.
